Quite good, not the best

Just tried these 6 and Alaska Bear came out on top.

1. Alaska Bear, comfort great, blackout excellent

(Barely any nose pinch, probably unavoidable

A good nights sleep changed my life!

I’ve had trouble sleeping for years. I’ve taken different sleep aids, natural and Rx. Nothing seemed to work that didn’t make me feel groggy or tired the next morning. I’m very sensitive to light and have always had room darkening shades and blinds. I thought about trying a face mask. There were over 100,000 reviews, so my first inclination was this one might work? I have had the most blissful nights sleep every night since I started wearing the MZoo mask! It has changed my life (I’m not exaggerating)! I get anywhere from 7-8 hours of sound sleep every night. It fits perfectly and is very comfortable. There is no light leaks at all and the recessed eye area allows you to open your eyes while wearing the mask! Do yourself a favor and give it a try❤️

My Favorite Sleep Mask!

This is my favorite sleep mask! I started using it when I was working night shifts and waking up late in the day. Super comfortable, blocks all light, a satisfying weight and size. While it's fairly durable, this is the second one I've had in the past few years because the seam always comes apart in the middle, but it's not difficult to mend. Mine last about a year before the seam starts coming apart so I'll have to see how long it lasts after being mended. Since that's it's only flaw, I'm fine with it. It REALLY helps with reducing pressure on my eyes.

Amazing sleep mask that truly blocks out light!!!

This was my first experience using a sleep eye mask and I could not be more satisfied! I moved into a new house with white blinds in the bedroom that make the room very bright in the morning. After having black-out shades in my old house the morning sunshine was disturbing my sleep pattern. So in desperation I tried this mask and I could not believe how much rest I was able to get on the first wear.

The head band fits perfectly above the ears and stays put all night. The foam padding around the eyes are super comfortable because there is nothing pressing directly on my eyes and yet there are no gaps to allow light in. It's amazing and I think I will be buying another pair just so to have backup.

Must needed for night shifters

CALLING ALL NIGHT SHIFTER

I’ve only tried a few but you can always see out of them! This one contours to my face and helps.

It has extra padding and sits well over my nose! It cancels out all the light and helps me sleep during the day!

Comparing Both Masks

I bought both masks because I couldn’t decide which one to get, so I tested them both for a full night. Both come with the same accessories: a carrying pouch and a pair of earplugs.

At first, I didn’t notice much difference. But after sleeping with both, I can confidently say the more expensive version is better.

The biggest improvement is light blocking. The cheaper mask leaves a small gap around the nose that lets some light in. The newer version fixes this issue completely and blocks 100% of the light.

The second difference is comfort. Even though the newer mask is larger, it’s actually lighter and made from a much softer material. The cheaper one feels firmer and slightly heavier.

That said, I don’t think the higher price is fully justified. The improvements are noticeable, but almost double the price feels a bit much. Still, I’m keeping the more expensive one and returning the cheaper one because complete darkness is important to me.

If the small amount of light doesn’t bother you, the cheaper version is still a good option.

The best!!

These are absolutely fantastic. They have nice packaging. They come with a bag to put them in for your suitcase or your backpack. There’s absolutely no light coming in when I put them on 100% recommend.

I don’t know if you can hear the sound in my video or not, but what I was trying to say was that the strap is adjustable there’s absolutely no smell when you open these out of the box and I am super sensitive when it comes to smells comes with earplugs it comes with a nice carrying case there’s absolutely no light coming in from them whatsoever they did not smash my eyes. They did not smash my nose. I think they’re gonna be fantastic.

Sleeping in the dark

My sleep score has made a tremendous jump since using this mask nightly. This mask offers complete darkness at night and in the morning as well by not only blocking light from your eyes but from the sides. It ultimately forces me not to pick up my phone again if I’m having trouble sleeping which prevents delaying the time I go to sleep. The indented sockets make it extremely comfortable and it is adjustable to your head size. It is black and is very lightweight.

I take this mask everywhere!

This mask is a game‑changer for side sleepers. It’s super soft, blocks out every bit of light, and the contoured shape doesn’t press on my eyes at all. Lasted 2 Years, only 2 complaints

Their new design lasted me almost exactly 2 years before i couldnt seal it/stop light getting in on my face anymore at the tighest level, only complaints is the plastic connector for the strap becomes basically always sideways after a while, which isnt a problem if you just toghten it more, and if theres direct sunlight facing the mask you can see gray spots with the mask on, idk if theres some holes in the light shield or what but I got by that by just not facing the window when i sleep. If they manage to fix that this would be perfect, but this is already perfect enough to be honest,

I tried some other sleep masks one day when it was hot and i wanted the masks you can put in the freezer before bed to get cooling to your face to sleep in a hot room but stopped using those because i could see light at the nose and i could see light through them as well. If you guys want another kind of sleep mask please make one of those but make them flexible when frozen and make it so they dont break open easily when bent when frozen. Theyre perfect when traveling with people who think 80 degrees is cold.

Here’s a 2 year old used every day compared to a New unusued one.

Let me be clear if you are looking for a cute little sleep mask that folds after a few naps this is not her. This mask is a SOLDIER. A bodyguard. A licensed protector of peace.

I have had this sleep mask for over four years. FOUR. And before you laugh please look at the photos. Those are not defects. Those are battle scars. This mask has seen me through the dark night of the soul. The kind of nights where you are fighting your demons in your sleep and you need pitch black darkness to run a full operation.

Every time I needed to go into combat mode. Boom. Mask on. Lights out. Enemies eliminated. No light leaks. No mercy.

The 3D contour design deserves a medal. No pressure on my eyes. Comfortable enough to survive insomnia emotional exhaustion naps that turned into full blown comas and spiritual warfare that required uninterrupted darkness. If I had to do a drive by on my sleep demons this mask was absolutely in the passenger seat helping me aim.

This mask has protected my rest through everything. It did its job so well that I only replaced it because after four years of loyal service it deserved an honorable discharge. Not because it failed. Because it WON.

I just bought a brand new one and I have the updated version arriving tomorrow and I am genuinely excited. That should tell you everything. I did not switch brands. I re enlisted.

Three years strong

These are awesome for sleeping. I don’t use them the whole night because I am very sensitive to things on me when I fall asleep. They work really good to block out light from your eyes when you’re trying to sleep. They are made out of a kind of slippery material, but it feels nice on your face. They fit perfectly on my face and are not too heavy, even though they have a lot of padding. They are a great value for the money and I would recommend anyone who doesn’t like life to buy these.

Strap slides down head and puts pressure on ears

Short summary: Good mask design, however the band needs some work.

The mask is nice and soft and the foam inside the mask creates a nice seal with my face. However, the strap is just a typical elastic band and slides easily on my hair. Since the back of my head is not perfectly flat, the band easily starts sliding down the back of my head and ends up putting pressure on the top of my ears. I found that the mask stays mostly against my face even when sleeping on my side, however I don't know if I can get past the irritation that occurs from the band. Overall, would be a four if not five star if the strap was softer or had little grips on it to keep it in place better on hair. I did a lot of research before purchasing this mask in particular, however I was still unfortunately let down.

very pillow like texture and easily useable

it’s not annoyingly big so that’s a plus. it’s like the size of a hand with a pretty slim design. the eye sockets work amazingly because it doesn’t leave marks in my face and my eyes don’t hurt or look different when wearing one or after.i would day it blocks out 98% light for me except a little gap between my nose but it’s so small it doesn’t matter. this blocks out all light. i placed a camera flash right on it while wearing it and still saw nothing. it’s working too well that now i’m struggling to wake up i’m so comfortable. i move around in my sleep and it’s stays on and haven’t made me breakout or get acne too. would recommend

Solid product :)

It's very comfortable and it blocks any light coming from the other end. The only nitpick would the the earplugs that come with them, they are not good and don't stay in place. I don't I think would be using them at all.

It does very well as advertised but I just wish the earplugs would work just all well as the mask

Feels nice on my face, smells like vinegar?

It feels really comfortable and blocks out light really great. I got it for my boyfriend since he is really sensitive to light but has small nasal passages so I felt that traditional masks would contribute to his poor air flow at night. I felt that the way the cushions are placed, there would be enough added direct pressure around the sinuses and that could help open up airways, and it feels like it does. For example, we both find that spreading our face from the sides of our nose really helps breathing feel more clear, and the mask has the same effect to an extent. So I like that feature the most! I think he’ll appreciate some pitch black darkness without the pressure in his eyes or nose. He has curly hair that he sleeps on damp so hopefully it doesn’t make him look too silly in the morning. He wears bandanas for 16 hours straight anyways so Im sure it won’t be an issue 😂

I did notice that it has that vinegar smell. I feel like a lot of products that have fabric smell this way nowadays. Mostly clothes. It’s a pain to get the smell out, it’s still in a pair of jeans I’ve washed well over 10 times now. I doubt we can get the smell out of this one given the delicate cleaning requirements. Hopefully it doesn’t bother him too much because he can be sensitive to smell, but what I can smell he can never smell and what he can smell I can never smell so hopefully it’s a good sign that I can smell it, chances are that his sense of smell range won’t catch it.

Finally, not sure how the bag will work. I’m too scared to fold it up so it can fit because I’m sure it’ll cause it to lose shape and firmness. So what was the point of providing a travel bag that’s too small? Not sure.

First time user, hooked for life!

Have been wanting a sleep mask before have been getting more annoyed when the sun rises and I’m not ready to, I would wrap blanket around my head and finally decided to go for it did Diane research finding this one along the way with cushions around your eyes and space for the bridge of your nose. The strap is the what makes it the best everything is great total back out not light gets in but will try the material of the strap, you can even tell you are wearing it. That was the reason I was hesitant about these to begin with. But I was extremely happy first try. And recommend this to everyone interested!

Not bad for the price.

This mask definitely works more effectively than the other face mask I purchased and any other face mask I've ever used, and it's a good deal for how cheap it is, so I'm rating it highly based on that.

There are some things I would change if I could:

First, you have to get the strap in the right place on the back of your head to get the mask to sit right and keep light out effectively. With that, even when positioned correctly, the mask isn't 100% blackout in my experience, but it also depends on the brightness of the light you're trying to keep out. With dinner morning light obscured by curtains, I can get really close to blackout. But with full, unobstructed morning sun, the light gets in around the edges, and just straight up shines through the material.

Second, the strap is thick, and it seems that if I adjust it to be loose enough to be comfortable, it won't stay in place when I move around. But if I tighten it, it tends to give me a headache or earache where it presses into my ears and scalp, particularly if I'm sleeping on my side.

Speaking of which, isn't ideal for side sleeping if you don't want it tight, as it will slide around and not stay in place.

Also, I don't love how it restricts my breathing by pressing my nose in when I position it to block out the light as much as possible.

Lastly, (this one isn't so much something I'd change as just honest feedback) the eye pockets do touch your eyes, so if you don't want to feel the mask at all on your lashes, this one isn't right for you. But after my last mask, which sat directly on my eyes and pressed them in, this one is great! I can open my eyes and blink without taking it off, and I appreciate that, way less claustrophobic!

Overall, as an insomniac of 10 years that gets awakened by the sunrise the moment it starts, this mask has truly made a world of difference to my sleep quality!
