Great Mic for Cameras, but Find Alternative for Mobile
I test a lot of wireless mic systems, and this one from NANK stood out thanks to its long battery life and solid accessories.
Pros:
- Works great for cameras
- Comes with all necessary adapters and cables
- Premium charging case
- Long transmission range (claims up to 328 feet)
- Transmitters support stereo/dual mode
Cons:
- No USB-C receiver for phones—relies on a USB-C to USB-C cable
- No screen on the transmitters, just light-up icons
- Records at 48kHz, but no mention of 16- vs 24-bit—sound quality -- guessing it's 16-bit after recording videos with it
Overall, this is a powerful mic system that’s clearly better suited for cameras than phones. Since it doesn’t have a plug-in USB-C receiver, mobile use is limited unless you're okay with a cable hanging out of your phone. That said, the coiled cables are solid, and the receiver mounts easily to a camera’s hot or cold shoe.
With stereo mode, dual transmitters, and up to 30 hours of battery life using the charging case, it’s a strong budget alternative for creators. At around $100, it’s not cheap—but if you’re not ready to invest in something more expensive from Rode or DJI, this is a solid budget-friendly alternative -- specifically for camera setups.

Well-Designed Lavalier System with Great Interface
There are a lot of wireless lavalier systems out there, but this one stands out for a few key reasons.
✔ Good sound quality – Full and clear audio. I was initially concerned about the size, but if they were smaller, they probably wouldn’t sound as good or work as well.
✔ Fantastic interface – The best feature is how easy it is to see the status of everything at a glance. The transmitters/mics show connection status, noise reduction, and more, while the receiver has a large display with real-time sound levels for each mic—no more guessing if the mics are working. It also displays battery levels for the transmitters, which is brilliant.
✔ Clip design – The clips on all three devices are large enough to attach to a phone, which is a game-changer. Other systems either connect directly to the port (which can be awkward) or just dangle.
A couple of small drawbacks:
🔹 No battery level indicator on the charging case—though you can check battery status on the receiver when you open the lid.
🔹 No storage for cables or wind socks in the case, which would have been handy.
Despite these minor issues, this is now my go-to lavalier system. It’s well-built, easy to use, and thoughtfully designed.
