Great value, good quality, and versatile.

This is a budget-friendly 2-pack of 10.8-inch, bi-color LED panel lights, designed for video conferencing, streaming, recording, vlogging, and desk use. They come with tripod/desk stands, phone holders, are edge-lit full-screen panels (15W each), offer CRI95+ color accuracy, and adjustable color temperature (typically 2700-6500K) with dimming.

Pros:

- Great value for money: Two lights + stands + phone holders at a budget price. Neewer Basics line is positioned as simple and practical for everyday use (Zoom calls, streaming, content creation).

- Decent brightness and quality of light: 15W panels with high CRI (95+) for accurate colors. Bi-color (warm/cool white) adjustment helps match room lighting and reduce harsh shadows.

- Versatile setup: Includes adjustable desk tripods and phone clips. Good for dual lighting (key + fill) on a desk setup.

- Easy to use: USB powered, compact, portable, and straightforward controls (brightness + color temp).

- Soft, even illumination: Edge-lit full-screen design provides diffused light that's easier on the eyes than smaller ring lights.

- Great the build for the price, and Neewer has improved quality in recent years for entry-level gear.

Things to consider:

- Build quality is "budget": Plastic-heavy base construction; not as premium or durable as higher-end lights; Can expect average longevity.

- Limited power/output: 15W per light is fine for close-range desk use but may not be strong enough for larger rooms, strong key lighting, or professional video where you need more punch.

- No advanced features: No app control, no RGB (just bi-color), basic dimming levels.

Ideal for casual users — remote workers doing video calls, beginners in streaming/YouTube, or anyone wanting affordable and versatile desk lighting. Not ideal for serious filmmakers or those needing high-output, pro-grade lights.

Overall: Great for an entry-level option, especially if you're on a budget and want two versatile lights for video calls or simple content. If you need more power or features, consider stepping up in Neewer's lineup.

Zoom/Team call meeting light for WFH

My primary use of these lights is balance lighting on video calls. I work on a computer and these are a good size to sit on the desk without taking up too much space. It's bright enough to light my face so people can see me clearly. It's easy to use. The height, brightness, and color temperature are adjustable to help get the look and feel. I appreciate the phone holder. It comes in handy when I need to use it to hold my phone to record me or hold it so that I can see my notifications without having to look away when they come in. So far, it's been pretty reliable. I haven't had any issues with it.

Another great neewer product

Another great neewer product

My wife is a singer and we create a lot of our own content, so we own several neewer products and these do not disappoint. They are substantially bigger than I expected which I’m happy about. They give off very even light, like every other neewer product. They run off of usb which makes powering them very easy. They get very bright for a usb light. The only thing I have to say is I wish there were more than 3 color choice. It would be nice to have like a 3k and a 5k color option added. But I’m splitting hairs.

Pros: very bright, large lights, comes with stand and phone clip, runs on usb

Cons: only real con that I can come up with is it would be nice to have more color options, but that a want not a need.

The lights are Constructed very solidly, the stand and base are very sturdy once they are all put together.

Assembly was very straight forward. They come with a 1/4 swivel head, so you can angle the lights, which is a nice plus. The cellphone mounts clamp onto the stand easily, and they could be used on other stands as well.

They Function well after you set them up by plugging the usb into a head or a battery pack. The buttons press easily, the lights have many levels of brightness, and three color temperatures to choose from.

We’ll be using them for video conferencing, photos shoots, or video shoots. They are very versatile and could be used literally anywhere you need good clean even light.

Larger than I expected

I thought these would be a lot smaller when I ordered them and almost passed on them. I'm glad that I didn't. They give out a very even light pattern and can get rather bright given they run on USB power. The 1/4 20 mount makes it so that you can attach the panels to just about anything. As a photographer, I have a lot of mounting options because of this. The stands are weighted just right for what they are designed for and I'm not worried about them falling over. I'm not a fan of the way you power them on though since the control portion hangs almost midway up the length of the stand when you have it fully extended, leaving an unattractive cord and button dongle dangling from your light. A remote would have been a better option. You also cannot disconnect this from power if you want it to remember the last setting. You can turn it off and on and it will hold the last settings, but it resets if disconnected from power entirely. These lights fit the definition of function over form, but they will get the job done with a nice, soft light, ideal for video calls and webcams.

Good basic light and phone stand, but with design faults

This light stand + phone holder seems designed for a desk setting, using flat base for minimalist profile while having a long neck that can let the light stand over monitors. Both neck and stand are quite heavy-duty, while also react to magnets, suggesting steel/iron alloy.

Both the phone holder attachment(in its entirety) and bulk of the LED light are plastic-based. Which brings my focus to the lights. It's powered by, and controlled by, a USB-C connection but, and this must be made absolutely clear, you can't use just any USB-C because the light by itself doesn't even have a power switch. Accessing that USB-C port is a hassle too, being right up against the near-flat back panel and little wiggle room. You can see me struggle a little in the general overview video I included.

The controls are easy, and lets you have a wide range of brightness, warmth, and color that I love about NEEWER products. Wide flexibility on both the light and the phone holder, letting you adjust as needed around the desk landscape.

And while the product design specifically mention 'edge lit', I feel it's wasted by the plastic beveling all around, a relatively thick edge at over1/2" (~1.5cm).

Overall it's fine for the price point, but quite a bit of loss on the light itself by not including at least a power switch on it directly. By making that design choice, I find more value in the stand and base itself, because I can instead stick on anything with a 1/4" connection.

Simple yet effective

This is a simple product but it is effective. I installed it behind my monitor and webcam

It has selectable color temperature and brightness levels. I wish there were a few more color temperature steps to perfectly match my interior lighting but it's still okay as is

Great value for the money overall considering the performance

Assembly took a few minutes and I was able to fit it on my desk easily

One nit is that the blue stand-by LED on the remote is bright but nothing that some black electrical tape can't fix

Exactly what I wanted

Exactly what I wanted! This light is so much better in several ways than the light I had been using for my virtual classes. I’m an online teacher, so having proper lighting is important. The light I had was ok, but it cast rings on my glasses. This light diffuses so you don’t see the reflection of the light in the glasses. I also really like how this light is on a sturdy stand instead of a clamp, the light can swivel, the height can be adjusted up and down, and the controls don’t fall below the desk but are at an easy to reach place on the cable. I’m so glad I made the upgrade!

A VERSATILE LIGHT THAT HAS BEEN OF GREAT USE TO ME SO FAR!

Product arrived promptly and free of damage or defect.

I have been using this light a lot, for a multitude of different purposes, except the one it was intended for LOL. I find it super useful!! NOTE: I trust Neewer as a brand (I am a pro photographer) having used many of their products for YEARS and always happy with them... and I love Neewer's affordable prices :). Wonderful Price/quality ratio.

PROS:

+ Versatile

+ Can adjust the height

+ Light itself rotates and can be oriented to fit your needs.

+ Base it thin yet heavy enough to provide perfect stability to this unit, even when height is at max

+ Light weight easy to move around or transport

+ Good diffusion, provides soft light, perfect for make up ;)

+ Also great for small product photography.

+ Also great to light a small room

+ Can be used as a bedside light to read

+ Small footprint does not take table top space.

+ Light power is adjustable

+ You get a lot of uses and BANG for your buck.

+ Phone mount does fit my BIG cellphone (galaxy Note 20 Ultra)

+ Phone mount if fully removable if you want to use the light just as a light.

+ Phone mount is articulated so phone can be oriented to fit the desired shot angle.

+ I am sure it will be GREAT for any video calls

+ Can be used as a fill light for tiny video/photo setups.

+++ Runs forever powered by a basic battery pack, which is how I use it. This way it is easy to move and relocate at will !

CONS:

- No dimmer, you have to click on UP or DOWN buttons to adjust light output,

- I don't care for the knob that allows you to lock the light head into position. It is too small and awkward. I would have preferred a larger knob, easier to grab and tighten. This is actually my only gripe with this otherwise awesomely useful little light.

VERDICT:

I have been using to put my makeup on and it works great for that, as well as any phone photography quick needs I may have. It's easy to carry around, I have been taking it with me to my storage space to light it but also take photos of stuff there, I have used it here, there, everywhere, to do just about anything. I think this little light, at this low price point, is a great addition to anyone's home or photo/video studio. GO FOR IT!

Video conference lighting holiday gift for myself

I often find that I don't look ideal when I'm on zoom meetings and my girlfriend told me that she uses a light like this when she's on video conference calls and she always looks fantastic. So I'm glad that I bought it. She said that the light quality and the brightness is really good. This feels sturdy. It's a good size. It's not too big and it feels like a good value for the money because it really wasn't very expensive. I'm excited to try this!

Using video conference lighting is crucial for appearing professional and clear by eliminating harsh shadows, reducing fatigue, and ensuring audience are not distracted by poor visibility; making you look better on calls. It works well, though the color temps are pretty extreme

There are 4 images, the last one is without the light on as a reference, the other 3 show the different color temperatures. They are all shot at 100% brightness. The light is, as the name suggests, very basic. It is lightweight and well built, but you get 3 color temperatures, a brightness control and that's it for functionality. The stand it adequate and reasonably sturdy on the short height, but wobbles a bit when raised. The positioning is adjustable enough, but not a lot of options. The light quality is nice and even and if used correctly this can improve your video quality. The stand is pretty simple so not a lot of versatility there, but it comes with a standard mounting thread, so you can use it on any stands you already have. I think the value is pretty good for what you pay and the ability to use it in other ways makes it a decent pick up for simple lighting needs. The biggest issue I have is that the warm white is VERY orange - almost like a sodium lamp in a parking lot - this can throw off color rendering if you're to careful.

Don’t Stop Reviewin’

Compact Size with Clean, Soft Light

The size of this light is perfect. It’s compact enough not to crowd your desk but bright enough to give clean, even lighting for Zoom calls and video work. The three color temperature options make it easy to dial in the right look, and I find the 4000k setting gives a nice balanced tone. The edge lit design keeps the light soft with no harsh hotspots.

My only wish is for a different control option instead of relying on the buttons built into the power cord. It works fine, but separate controls would make it more convenient. I have the panel mounted to my computer setup instead of using the included stand, though the overall build feels strong and well made.

For everyday video calls or quick content creation, this is a great value and delivers clean, soft light without taking up much space.

***Note: The colors in my photo are not accurate to the light’s real output.***

Small and Easy to Use Desktop Mountable Selfie light

This is my third LED video light panel review and it is a shorter version of my secondly reviewed light. Similarly, if you’re vlogging, doing indoor videos, or taking indoor pictures, you know you always need a little more light to get on your subject and at a very reasonable price this Neewer Basics 10.8” video conference light will work for a desktop or tabletop mounted light. It is an entry level light so the components are lightweight but that ads to the usefulness of them. The actual LED panel is made from lightweight plastic but the short table/desk top mounting pole with weighted bottom holds the light sturdily.

Similar to a previous one I reviewed; the controls are simple and attached to the power cord. You can dim the lights or make them bright. Are they super bright? Not really but are great for illuminating yourself on your desk it works great. The 3 color tones (from 2400k, 4000k, and 7400k) allow you to match the light setting you prefer and there are 10 levels of dimming so you can have a gentle amount of light up to illuminating yourself or subject brightly.

It comes with useful phone holders that clamp onto the mounting pole extension that can be rotated from portrait to landscape and everything in between. This is perfect for those that take selfie videography using your phone since you can mount the phone camera just below the lighting and record directly in the path of the light. This is a good desktop mounted light at a decent price for what you get.

Professional Lighting Made Simple!

As part of the Vine program, I received the NEEWER Basics 10.8" Video Conference Light, and it has greatly improved the quality of my video calls and recordings.

Bright & Adjustable: The 15W bi-color edge-lit design provides soft, even illumination. It reduces harsh shadows and makes video calls look more professional.

High Color Accuracy: With a CRI95+ rating, colors appear natural and true-to-life, which is especially important for streaming and recording.

Flexible Setup: The included stand and phone holder make positioning easy. I can adjust the angle to suit both laptop and smartphone use.

Compact & Desk-Friendly: The slim design fits neatly on my desk without taking up much space, making it ideal for home offices.

Versatile Use: Works perfectly for Zoom calls, streaming, and content creation. It’s equally useful for photography or as a reading light.

Easy Operation: Simple controls make it quick to adjust brightness and color temperature, even mid-call.

Overall, this light delivers exactly what it promises: professional-quality illumination in a compact, user-friendly package.

✅ Highly recommended for anyone who wants to look their best on video calls or recordings.

Very nice!

This is really nice! Very easy to put together, took only minutes. It comes with a phone mount as well so it would also be good for social media content, blogs, etc. It has a nice thin but heavy metal base so you can sit it behind your laptop or desktop and the base will be able to go under it. Nice lighting for any need. You can change the settings to adjust to your needs. Overall, very pleased with this.

Great for video conferencing

This a very functional conference LED lamp. I found it to be easy to put together, and make necessary adjustments, even though the manual left a lot to be desired as far as assembly directions (not worth a deduction for that). Set up on my desktop to the right of my web cam, the lighting effects gave me a bright platform to broadcast on. A professional web broadcaster by no means, I was able to adjust the lighting, and temperature colors to make my video come out bright, clear, and with soft hues. The controls are easy to operate, and I powered the light by just plugging into my computer USB-A port.

FEATURES;

1-adjustable Height

2-solid base

3-added bracket for cell phone conferencing

4-USB-C powered (power block not included)

5-inline USB-C control

6-solid metal base construction

Overall, I’d say that this LED lamp is well worth the coat, and an excellent value for the money. I would recommend it.

Good quality light and stand for video shooting and also as a desktop light

Overall the light and stand seem to be of good quality. The light is about 10" square shape with a diffused white surface which helps to distribute light evenly when shooting video and also easy to stare directly into the light source. The lighting surface is about 10"x10" square. The control is simple, 3 color temperature to select and it is dimmable. It comes with a tilting ball mount for setting the light at different angle.

The stand has a heavy base, so it is very stable. The light pole can extend as needed. It also comes with a phone mount so it is a convenient photo/video setup. Besides using the light for video shooting, it can be just used as a desktop light as well.

I didn't found any instruction for setup, but with only a few parts, not hard to put the light together.

Gary B.

It's called "Basic." But it's got some nice things going for it.

The NEEWER "Basics" is a conference light that can also double as a pleasant desk lamp.

PROS:

Easy to put together.

Generates a broad, soft light which you can adjust with a simple wired remote to make the light warmer or whiter (and dim or brighten to meet your needs).

Can be tipped up for lighting yourself for online conference lighting...or can be tipped down to light your desk as you work.

A broad base keeps it stable on your desk.

It comes with a bracket that you can use to attach your phone to the arm of the lamp.

CONS:

Difficult to adjust the height. It has a twisting cuff (see in the attached photo) that should lock down the light to the height of your choosing, but I could not get it to screw together tightly, no matter how hard I tried. (ADDITIONAL INFO ADDED AFTER MY REVIEW WAS POSTED: I've tried to make it work better and it's NOT getting any better. It just falls down on its own. I'm tempted to deduct another star from my review!)

Doesn't come with a "power brick/wall wart." Just a cable with a wired remote that ends in a USB-A. (You have to provide your power source--one that has a USB-A slot).

The power switch (and other adjustments) are on a free-floating wire (and not built into the lamp base, pole or top). That's a big part of what makes this a "basic" lamp.

All this said, this lamp offers a smooth, pleasant glow that is flattering on screen and easy on the eyes. It's an affordable lamp that should get the job done for many.

Fully adjustable, smooth and bright conference light.

This is a handy light for conference calls or any media presentation requiring even and versatile lighting. The light comes disassembled and there is no wall transformer for the USB power but that is the case with many of these lights.

The finish is nice and the base is heavy and very supportive. The tilting function of the head allows positioning for most any lighting requirement. There is a thoughtful cell phone holder and it allows hands free cell recording backed up by proper lighting.

The lighting is diffuse and completely even and there are 3 color temperatures and dimming functions accessed from the in-line remote.

The price is affordable and this light will find many uses in your media studio or office.

The 4 star rating is because of the poorly illustrated paper "manual". It basically does nothing to help with the assembly of the parts, and the QR code it has you scan takes you to another crummy set of instructions which make you scroll through the myriad of other products to find your model. Once there, it is still not very helpful. I got the job done though and most people should be able to handle this on their own.
