Compact & Reliable Key Light

The NEEWER light panel is a budget-friendly option with adjustable LEDs that can simulate warm or natural white light/color (ranging from 3200k to 5600K). I particularly appreciate the analog-style dial for adjusting brightness and color temperature, which is a refreshing change from the hard button toggle.

Despite its compact size, this unit can produce a significant amount of light. It’s easy to fold away and store, making it convenient for various settings. The included tripod adjustment allows for easy movement from your desk to the floor. Additionally, the unit features a high-capacity internal battery that can last about an hour and a half on its own, depending on the brightness level. During extended use, it didn’t exhibit any heat dissipation issues and remained cool.

However, there are a few areas for improvement. I would have preferred a USB-C charging option instead of the barrel connector power supply. Also, while this light works well indoors, I would be cautious using it outdoors in strong wind environments due to its lightweight construction.

Although this unit is slightly more expensive compared to other options in its price range, it offers a brighter light with greater color temperature variability than many cheaper units. If you’re looking for a versatile key light for your home or small office studio, this is definitely worth considering.

Great Light for Photography and Online Videos

This light is fantastic for my use as an amateur photographer and occasional online videos. It's very compact and lightweight. The fact that it has a rechargeable battery allows you to use it anywhere and it's really convenient not having cords to trip over. It can be adjusted for height and different angles. I was really impressed with the brightness and light temperature settings. The price seems reasonable for all of the features.

Wonderful customizable light panel and light stand well worth the price!

This light panel is fully customizable as to brightness and color via easy to move dials in the back of the panel.

The light stand was simple to put together and can be adjusted from table top height to about six feet. It is very stable at most heights, but the tallest height makes it susceptible to being knocked over. The color and brightness changes work well and are easy to manipulate. The angle of the light panel is also easy to maneuver.

The light panel charges via power cord and can be used for several hours without the cord once fully charged. The color options go from 3200k to 5600k This is a versatile lighting system for simple video and photography projects. Five stars!

Well built and very bright.

Compact in size. The light is very bright and has a good ability to change from warm to cool. The cord it comes with is long and has good reach to outlets across the room. It feels well built and can take a beating on set. It is simple to use. Good value for the price.

Decent low budget panel LED light and stand

This NEEWER 13" LED video light panel with tripod stand works as described. It is lightweight and nice that it has built in rechargeable batteries (up to 1.5 hrs runtime) and comes with a power adapter/charger. It is not a premium build but the price is right for what you get and it is pretty bright at 2400lux and CRI97+. It is great for product photography or close up subject lighting. There is no carry bag with the single pack light but you can get a 2 pack with a carry bag for less than half of a single light price more.

Excellent photo light

The lighting in my house is for the comfort of my sensitive eyes, not necessarily suitable for photography. This photo light adds a more than adequate amount of light for photographing myself (and others) for the purpose of posting clothing reviews. The light strength is adjustable, going all the way up to full sunlight mode, which makes it possible to capture details that would otherwise be lost in the shadows. The tripod is nice and sturdy and fully adjustable. The light is easy to attach and adjust on the tripod. It is battery powered but can also be used with the plugin charger cord.

I'm looking forward to using this light to elevate my photography skills and hopefully capture better pictures.

Decent value for a bright flat panel, adjustable color temp flat panel light with lightstand

This is a review for the NEEWER 13" LED Video Light Panel, Dimmable Bi color 3200-5600K CRI97+ 2400Lux/0.5m 8000mAh, NL-192AI that comes with a lightstand.

The LED flat panel lighting unit by itself is around half the price (under $40). This kit includes a light stand which adds to the cost at just below $80. There's a lot of reviews for this product that claim RGB capabilities, etc. but that is for a different kit. Don't know why they are included in this listing but just thought i'd let everybody know that this review is for the bi-colored light (warm to cool white) and lightstand.

The flat panel light itself isn't huge, its a little over 12-1/2" when measured diagonally, with the LED panel itself (minus the border) measuring around 11-1/4" inches. The panel has a built-in difuser plate and the light comes out clean and bright. The unit claims to have 192 LEDs (96 warm yellow + 96 cool white) and that seems accurate. You can't really see the individual LED's when the light is on so that's a good thing. The difuser is doing its thing.

You can adjust the color balance from 3200-5600K and brightness with an actual rotary knob. This is so cool and what makes this unit stand apart from some others. Need to adjust the brightness up or down, just turn the knob. So easy, so retro, so very nice...

Color temperature is controlled the same way. Cool thing about this unit though is that is shows you via a digital display on the back what the settings are, brightness and color temperature. That and the fact that the light emitted is clean and bright (if need be) is something that sets this light apart. This light would be really good for video shots.

Also, a feature that shouldn't be left unmentioned is the fact that this thing has built-in dual rechargeable batteries. You can charge this light and use it for a couple of hours straight. Charges in a couple of hours and you're good to go again.

The kit also comes with a lower quality, albeit decent light stand that you can use to mount your light on. The light has 1/4" thread mounting point and fits with the light stand perfectly. Although, I do recommend mounting a mini ball head of some sort so you can move it around better.

For the price, this kit isn't too bad. Gives out a decent quality light with a compatible light stand. The light stand itself is probably worth around $30-$35 by itself. It gets as high as around 6' feet and a couple of inches. However at that height, it is a little unstable so you will need be careful not to bump into it.

I would recommend this for anybody who is needing a nice quality light, which is color temperature adjustable and doesn't need the RGB element. Comes with power adapter to charge the light, the light itself, instructions and of course the lightstand.

An overall great video (or photography) light with lightstand that can get you going if you're just starting out or a great addition to your lighting setup.

Good Entry Level Light

This is a great light for those looking for a even and well diffused key light for a desk or standing setup. It is large and bright enough to act as a key light but could also be used as a fill or rim light. It is a complete kit, with power supply and stand. There is no remote nor can you control this via an app so this is an all manual operation. Push button on/off on the side with two knobs to control brightness and color temp. The on board batteries make this convenient to use in situations where you need to move it around untethered. This is a nice light at a good price with Neewer quality.

Great light, I'd recommend it. Whould hae received 5 stars if it came with a case or cover.

I think this is a very good light because it's an all-in-one system.

Pros:

The light is very bright with dimmable intensity and color temperature to match indoor or outdoor video.

The stand is tall, extends higher than the average person so you can give a downward angle to the light, which is good.

The stand is a better quality than I expected.

The bracket that attaches the light to the stand swivel is giving you an upward centered or downward angle for the light.

Has built-in batteries which will run for a long time depending on your brightness setting.

Comes with an AC adapter.

Perfect portable lighting solution

This light panel works perfectly and delivers everything it promises. The lighting is excellent, offering a full range from warm to cool tones. What I loved most and find incredibly practical is that it can be used anywhere without needing to be plugged in, thanks to its built-in battery. It’s ideal for outdoor use, especially at night. Excellent Portable LED Video Light Kit

This NEEWER NL-192AI LED video light panel is a well-constructed and highly functional lighting solution. The included stand, while lightweight, is built better than many similar models and folds up compactly.

The light itself is impressive: it provides consistent colors with adjustable temperature across its 3200K-5600K range, and smooth dimming from 0-100%. The color appears very consistent across the panel's surface. The integrated batteries are a major plus; we tested them and indeed achieved over 90 minutes of continuous run time at 100% brightness (at 4600 Kelvin), recharging fully in just about 2 hours—meeting the marketing claims perfectly. The versatile mounting options, including a 1/4-20 stud and cold shoe adapter, are also very useful.

The only minor nit is that it uses a 15V power connector instead of a more common USB standard, meaning another power adapter to manage.

Conclusion:

This truly is a nice light that represents a very good value for the quality of light it produces. Its excellent build, verified battery performance, and versatile mounting options make it our new go-to travel light for our youtube channel. We give it a full 5 stars.

Adjustable color and brightness

This light panel with a tripod stand is a 5-star product, but I had to give it 3 stars because there isn’t a carrying case or bag. I live in a senior residence, and I take photos of food at the menu changes that occur twice a week. I need to carry the light panel, tripod stand, and camera to the dining room. I’m going to have to find a nice cloth bag because it doesn’t come with the light panel and tripod stand. Neewer, are you listening?

The light panel has a rechargeable battery, so I no longer need to bring an extension cord and look for an outlet when I take photos of the food. The LCD screen on the rear of the light panel nicely shows, in large characters, the percent brightness of the light, the color temperature, and the battery power remaining in the battery. I use the daylight temperature (5,600 K) and the full brightness (100%) of the light.

Pros:

1. Adjustable color and brightness.

2. Multiple uses.

3. Natural light, with no glare.

4. LCD screen with color temperature, brightness, and battery power remaining.

5. Rechargeable battery, so using extension cords and electrical outlets is not needed.

6. Adjustable tripod.

7. The cold shoe mount is adjustable, to let me use the light panel facing down, which is necessary for taking photos of food.

Cons:

1. Not having a carrying case or bag is a big deal for me.
