Great Lighting for Zoom and Teams Meetings

I bought this light because I work from home and frequently have Zoom and Teams meetings with my camera on. Before getting this, I could never seem to get the lighting right. I would either have one side of my face brighter than the other or end up with distracting shadows when I turned on additional lights in the room.

This light has made a huge difference. It provides even, flattering lighting and makes my video look much more professional. I feel like it gives a better impression during meetings and helps me look more polished and prepared on camera. I really like the flexibility of the different brightness levels and color settings, which makes it easy to adjust the lighting depending on the time of day or the room lighting.

It also comes with a tripod, although I haven't needed to use it. I simply use the clip to attach the light to my monitor right next to my webcam, and the setup works perfectly for me. The USB-A power connection is another plus since I can plug it directly into my computer or, in my case, into my monitor.

Simple to set up, easy to adjust, and it makes a noticeable improvement on video calls. Highly recommended!

Small ring light

Small but gives a lot of bright light !

Excellent little ring light for video calls, streaming, and desk setups

For a compact 5-inch ring light, this thing is surprisingly bright. It works extremely well for Zoom calls, streaming, podcasts, content creation, or just improving desk lighting without taking up a bunch of space. The lighting looks much softer and more flattering compared to relying on normal room lighting alone.

One of the best features is the adjustable brightness and color temperature options. Being able to switch between warmer and cooler lighting and fine tune the brightness makes it much easier to get the right look depending on your room and camera setup. The controls are simple and easy to use through the inline remote.

Setup is also very straightforward. The included clip and mini tripod make it versatile enough to use on monitors, desks, laptops, or freestanding setups depending on what you need. It takes only a couple minutes to get running.

The overall build quality feels pretty solid for the price too. The tripod is stable, the ring light housing feels sturdy, and the clamp holds securely without feeling flimsy. The longer USB cable is also appreciated because it gives much more flexibility for positioning without needing extensions.

For desk setups and close-range lighting, the brightness is more than enough. It works especially well for webcams, podcasts, makeup application, product shots, and livestreams. Just keep in mind that because it’s a smaller 5-inch light, it’s designed more for face lighting and smaller workspaces rather than lighting an entire room.

One thing worth mentioning is to be careful with the monitor clamp on thinner or more delicate displays. The clamp is strong, which helps stability, but you don’t want to overtighten it on expensive screens.

Overall, this is a really solid value ring light with good brightness, multiple lighting modes, reliable performance, easy setup, and enough flexibility to work well for streaming, remote work, and content creation setups.

Amazing Ring Light! Bright, Adjustable, and Perfect for Videos!

Pros:

- None, it's really solid quality for the price

Good light performance, but the base could be sturdier

I’ve only done some initial setup and light testing so far, but I wanted to share my first impressions.

The ring light itself performs well. I tested different brightness levels and light settings, and the illumination is even and consistent. The intensity adjustments respond properly, and the light output looks suitable for video calls, basic content creation, or desk setups. From a technical standpoint, the lighting functions as expected.

The packaging was secure and protective, and everything arrived in good condition.

The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the base. It feels a bit lighter and less sturdy than I expected. It holds the light, but if you’re planning to move it frequently or use it in a high-traffic area, stability might be something to keep in mind.

Overall, based on my initial tests, the lighting performance is solid for the price, but the build quality of the base could be improved.

One ring to brighten the dark..

Just started streaming from my console, and I've been looking for an affordable ring light to incorporate into my setup, and this 5" light works perfectly!! The housing is durable, and the clamp fits securely to the top boarder of my TV without feeling like it is going to damage the screen underneath. Whenever I need to change the temperature on screen, the in-line controller allows me to easily and effortlessly warm or whiten with a range of levels to set that perfect picture quality (the video i took directlyof the light does not do it justice, but believe me.. they're noticeable). Without a doubt, this is a perfect and inexpensive tool to step your presentation game up!

Excellent workhorse of a ring light!

This little workhorse ring light pulls its weight around here! We’ve used that for all kinds of purposes in our home and home office. When it arrived, it required very little assembly. It was simple to put it together in fewer than 60 seconds. It screws into a sturdy, weighted base that can also rest a device.

Because it’s seriously lightweight, and not at all cumbersome (like most of my ring lights) it really is easy to move it around to wherever it is that you want to use it. Some of the uses in our household have been for better illumination during Zoom calls, additional lighting for content creation, and even to add simple light in darker areas as needed. It doesn’t have a bulky tripod design so you can pick it up and set it down anywhere that you can plug it in. The plug USB but the light comes with a USB to USB-C adapter. It is a BYOC (bring your own cube) situation, but most people already have that situation solved because it’s so common.

The remote is attached to the cord itself, so you’re never going to lose it and it’s simple and intuitive to work. I’m giving it five stars for its user friendliness, its effectiveness, and its value! It’s one of the more widely used items in our household.

Clip on part of the product is FRAGILE, buttons easily broken when pressing. Buyer beware.

Tripod is good but For the CLIP ON part of this product, the button BROKE & pushed in when I applied the tiniest amount of force to the button.

For the rest of the product (TRIPOD) this is my review

I bought the NEEWER Basic 5” Ring Light (BR60) to improve the lighting and overall resolution in my product review photos, as well as wanting to make the photos look cleaner, more professional, and more accurate (especially indoors or at night)

I Used This For

• Lighting close-up product shots (skincare, small items, packaging details)

• “Before/After” style photos where consistent lighting matters

• Occasional video calls when room lighting isn’t great

What I Liked

• Multiple light modes: The different lighting options include warm vs cool light.

• Adjustable brightness: Being able to dial the intensity up or down is huge. You’re not stuck with one harsh brightness level, so it’s easier to avoid washed-out highlights on shiny packaging. Improves professionalism in photos when you’re trying to get "studio” vibes

• Clip on + desk option: Nice flexibility depending on whether you want it attached to a monitor/laptop or sitting on the desk.

• User-friendly set up: Self-explanatory set-up and relatively easy to assemble. If you are looking for a gift that you want to give to your parents, they should be able to figure out how to use this without hassle.

Helpful Notes for Buyers

• This is a small 5-inch light, so it’s best for face lighting on calls and close-range photo/video (desk setup, product shots, etc.), not lighting a whole room.

• It works especially well if you’re shooting within arm’s length of the light.

BOTTOM LINE

If you’re looking for a simple ring light for Zoom calls, remote work, or improving lighting for photos/video at your desk, this one does the job, and the brightness + light setting with hand controls make it far more usable than one-setting clip lights. For review photos and small product shots, it’s been a noticeable upgrade in quality.

No more floating head on late day zooms

My house has bad lighting so often my head looks like it's floating in the dark when i use my computer. I needed a light that illuminates enough around me, that it doesn't look like I'm sitting in the dark.

IMMEDIATE IMPRESSION: The package is very well done. It’s all packed in foam and then wrapped in soft plastic. The size is great, not too bulky or big. The build quality is very lightweight, tends to feel a little cheap.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER: It's very easy to assemble, though it does not come with instructions. You can download a user manual but the instructions inside do not tell you how to put it together.

USING THE CLIP: You can use either the clip or the tripod, but you can't use the clip and the tripod. I will probably end up using the tripod as my setup includes an iPad and I would prefer not to clip it to the screen itself. You can use this ring light with any tripod. The tripod is cheap, but works fine. You can definitely use your own tripod.

HOW IS THE QUALITY OF LIGHT: Im impressed by the amount of options for both lighting temperature control and brightness. You can adjust each sepearately to your liking.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: It comes with a USB-C adapter. This is a nice touch, so I can plug it into USB or USB-C.

VALUE FOR MONEY: At $26 it's totally worth it. No reservations.

REMOTE CONROL: it's a wired controller that super easy to use and understand. There's a power switch, a mode switch, and a brightness switch.

TRAVEL: it would be great for travel, especially if you just use the clip, or had a compact tripod.

OVERALL: I think if you're looking for a low cost, compact, basic ring light, it's great. It gets the job done. To be honest, I don't know why you'd pay for more. The light is the most important part, and the light and light options on this are exactly what I want. After years of working from home in different places, I finally have a consistent light.

Great light, BUT DAMAGED MY MONITOR!!!

Initially, I really loved this ring light. For how small it is, it can provide a very nice soft light that gets much brighter than I would have expected. However, it wasn't until recently that I realized it has done permanent damage to my monitor because of how tight it clamps on. My monitor isn't that thick (you can see a photo of the side profile of my monitor as well as the permanent bright spot on the screen itself), so I didn't think it would be a problem. This ring light might be fine for a super thin laptop screen, but even then... I would be afraid to risk it since the damage caused is permanent. Very disappointed that my expensive monitor is now messed up from a $15 ring light. Beware if you're going to buy this, and definitely don't buy it if you don't have a razor thin screen you're clipping it to.

Great way to add additional light

This light has tremendous impact in a small form factor.

I really like being able to choose between tripod and clip-on for different areas. The tripod seems fairly sturdy, if a tad short. But, I'm otherwise happy with it. I'm personally using it to illuminate items as I review them, and I think it's doing a solid job of that so far!

I'm sure there are other, bigger ones out there that have very specific uses, but this has been a nice introduction to lighting options for me as I begin.

Excellent fill light with phone holder

This is a good quality ring light, and is a good value at $13. It easily adjusts up and down. It uses a standard USB or USB-C (with included adapter) charging block or power bank. The power cord is nice and long. The controls on the cord are easy to understand. The included instructions are clear.

I like the option for different color warmth and different brightness levels. See my pics and video.

It was easy to assemble and set up. Less than 1 minute. It's easy to adjust.

The base is sturdy. It has slots for your phone. There are 2 slots depending on the angle you want.

The light ring is well designed and functional based on all of the above information.

Compact table top ring light

This is a decently compact ring light that is more than bright enough for anyone videoing from a table top. Great color options for warm to cool and really simple switch. It is height adjustable but the tallest setting will be about level with a standard 22 inch monitor so you cannot place it over it. That being said it does have a standard 1/4 inch mount below the head so if you have a tripod you will be able to switch it out easily if you need more height.

Large but effective and reliable

I like this much better than other lights I've tried. The fact that it plugs in means it doesn't run out of battery mid-meeting, and it offers a pretty good amount of light with settings to change the warmth/strength. It's kind of large and the cord is a bit annoying (hence 4 stars), but given its benefits, the pros outweigh the cons. I recommend it!

Perfect little light!

I bought this little ring light to add to my streaming setup and it is perfect! I love that it has three different hues and you can adjust the brightness so that you can get just the right amount of light for your space! It was so easy to set up and I love that it came with a screen clamp and a tripod so that it is versatile. It is such a great value to add to your setup! I love this product. Im using it as a stream light put behind my monitor clipped on ceiling. Has different modes for lighting and turn down aswell. Highly recommend for the price

Different light warmth

The ring light has multiple modes which is pretty convenient. The ability to change intensity of the modes is also very convincing.

The tripod is pretty sturdy. The only thing that I would say is a con is that you have to connect to your phone to use it.

Perfect size ring light!

Perfect size ring light for everything, I thought they were a gimmick but made my zoom calls much 10x better. Comes with a usb to usb-c adapter for newer macbooks and I can plug it into an Iphone wall charger if I don't want to use my laptops battery. Additionally I found it super useful that the tripod and ring light have a compatible screw on ability that works with Iphone holders. I screwed my ring light on to my phone stand and my phone holder to the tripod to to use my notes app for questions during my Zoom meetings. Super Stoked! *note the stand in my photo was a generic phone stand I previously bought, the small tripod came with the ring light.

It's perfect for zoom calls!

This ring light does exactly what I need it to do. With no floor behind my desk, I needed something to fit directly onto my screen for my zoom calls. I use zoom everyday multiple times a day for meetings. The unexpected bonus is that it comes with a micro USB adapter for my cell phone! I DON'T NEED ANOTHER OUTLET! It plugs directly into my laptop or phone. It even comes with a tripod that I can use for when I don't want to clip it onto my device. It works and the price is right! GET ONE!!!
