Good sound quality

So, I'll be honest. I'm not much of an audiophile. As long as it doesn't sound horrible, I think it sounds good:)

That said, I got this mostly to use in windy conditions when the built in mic on my phone sounds atrocious. And it does a great job with that. Especially when using the wind sock it comes with. Be aware that if you're using the wide angle lens on your phone you'll need to find a way to mount it so the mic doesn't get in the frame.

Anyways, it's a nice, fairly cheap, compact microphone that seems to do pretty well. If you're a simpleton like me you could probably get away with the VM10 version for almost $20 cheaper.

Flimsy mount but good audio

I tested this with my R50 and got really solid sound out from this mic. The only thing I didn’t really like is how the shock mount is kinda flimsy and feels like it can break from any bump.

Overall tho solid easy to use mic for the price point.

Does not work well as a shotgun mic. Seems to be a proximity mic.

This is positioned and marketed as more of a shotgun mic but it does not work that way. I tried this hooked up to my camera and my phone. Both cases the microphone needed to be extremely close to the source to function correctly and pickup audio of an decent quality. That said, when it was close, it sounded fine. But if you weren't using it like a handheld proximity mic it sounded far away. Even with the dB boost on. I would not recommend this mic for use as pictured on the package. And the cord is too short for it to be used as a proximity mic. It's small and portable but not very useful.

Nice selections of extras included, good sound quality.

Edit: I'm also using this with my DJI Pocket 3 gimbal. Literally plug and play, an the required adapter is included.

I'm using this with my Canon DSLR and it works perfectly. The dead mouse and foam covers offer different noise cancellation - nice that we get both. The isolation mount works well, although the dead mouse tends to angle it down. Works on my droid phone as well, but there's no simple way to mount it - wireless would better unless you have a stand for both. Also includes cord for Apple, but I can't test that. Sound quality is very good, especially at this price point.

Great full featured video vlogging microphone!

This Neewer brand VM11 video microphone feels very well made and high quality. The vlogging microphone comes with a lot of stuff. First it comes with a large foam windscreen and a really thick fluffy windscreen, 3 cords, a USB C to trrs, a trrs to trrs and a Apple style lightning to trrs cable. All 3 cables are plug and play which is great and you won't need an adapter for most devices. In my case I'm using it with my Pixel 7pro, open camera app, push video, plug the type C cable into the phone and the phone should acknowledge the microphone then open settings within video and tap wired mic icon and your ready to record. The microphone is made from extremely durable aircraft aluminum and is very robust. There are 2 ports on the bottom of the mic, one trrs port and a headphone port. That's right you can also listen through headphones. There is a high gain setting sliding control switch and 2 low cut and standard modes. The included microphone stand will screw onto your digital camera or a cold or hot shoe on a cell phone photo right. The microphone doesn't require a battery as it uses the power from your camera or cell phone. The included manual is written in great English and about 6 other languages with easy illustrations. It also includes a really nice thick soft pouch with a heavy duty drawstring. It shows it works with certain models of iPhones and the Galaxy 25 but it should work well on any newer Android phone with type C port no matter the brand. I have many Neewer brand products like their glass camera lenses and find the brand to be top notch. If you want to take your vlogging to the next level I would definitely get this VM11 microphone.

good quality mic, An improvement over ones built into your smartphone

This NEEWER Plug & Play Vlog Microphone, is an improvement over the mics built into smart phones and cameras. It works with both usb C inputs as well as older Apple products with the lightning connector. It comes with two removable windscreens, one a bit more "fluffy" than the other. It all fits into an included carrying bag.

Sound quality is certainly better than the built in mics most people use. Is it professional quality? Probably not , you can buy better mics, but for most users, this is all the microphone you will ever need.

Easy to use, sounds decent, horrible mount.

Adds a very noticable and clear improvement quality doing talking head stuff with a vlogging camera. It's very front address and good for capturing audio coming from in front of the camera, and dramatically weakens behind the mic in classic cardoid fashion.

The mic is good quality, and it comes with everything you need to connect it to phones via USB-C, Lightning, or just general TRRS (Mic) To trs connector. The mic has a solid metal build and does sound pretty great.

The only thing I didn't like is the mount is horrible. It's has so much bend and flex that the mic just kind wobbles and points in random directions. Yes it's shock absorbing, but the single clip arm design just has so much wacky flex and give that sometimes the mic can be pulled by the cord going to the camera and start pointing in a random direction.

This mic is a good functional upgrade to get better sound, and just works. The low cut and small gain adjustment is useful also on top, and what's really need is there's a monitor passthrough so for cameras that don't have a headphone jack that's pretty useful.

Good mic!

First off, this comes with a lot of accessories. It comes with cords to hook this to an iphone as well as android. The shock mount is pretty decent and you can get live feedback from the mic. It is on the smaller side which I really like. It also comes with two covers for the mic. I like the fuzzy one, so does my dogs unfortunately.. In the video I have the mic inch from my mouth and you can hear a little bit of cutoff, but that is to be expected. Overall this is a great mic that feels really well made.
