I like the remote control, hook up was simple and easy, software was easy, however not enough control on the color output of the camera. It was very yellow-green and even after downloading the software I wasn’t able to adjust the color temperature and saturation.
Also my webcam arrived used and opened.
Nothing was wrapped up. It was missing the adapter as well. Be sure yours has all the parts.
Perhaps this will work for you, but it didn’t work for me.

I don't know why I endured so much pain over the years with DroidCam and my Samsung over Wifi, or a GoPro 9 and power issues, or trying to use Canon EOS 7D + Elgato HD60 as a streaming camera in OBS - you need a PHD to get that to working.
Literally plug and play with the N990 with no drivers needed - even in Windows 10. Was immediately available in OBS and Microsoft Teams, and 4K is SO CRISP. I was able to change the camera resolution in OBS with ease, and i could start using it in my Teams.
The profile is so small and the quality is so amazing that this will be both my work and Twitch livestreaming camera.

First off, I would like to say that this camera is great for streaming. I wouldn't necessarily call it top notch but it gets the job done. The camera has an adjustable focus lens, that you could use by turning the silver ring around the lens. The color is also great with default settings but always can be changed in obs when starting stream. I would recommend this for beginner streamers who doesn't have an higher enough budget for the high end stuff...

I purchased this model to try and get away from the mess that is Logitech and their endless array of webcams, most of which have some weird fluke about them that you never find out about until you get it and then have to wade through the worst customer support in the webcam industry over there.
This camera worked right out of the box and provided a beautiful 4K image on my Mac running Ventura. If you want to use it for Zoom or something where the camera is within hands reach, it's awesome.
I use them for wildlife and bird nest monitoring though and this camera is useless for me as IT DOES NOT HAVE AUTOFOCUS! That's right, your read that correctly. Some company in the year 2023 is selling a 4K webcam without autofocus. Hard to believe really. You have to dig really deep on to their website to find out that yes, indeed this webcam doesn't have autofocus capabilities.
Anyway, like I said, if you are using it within arms reach where you can actually grab the 1984 style lens with the big focus ring around it when needed, it is great. If it is in a location like an Owl box or Nest cam where you cannot get to it, it is useless.

The camera came in a very clean packaging and was snug and secured inside the box. It comes with the remote control (no batteries), a privacy cover, and mounts for the camera (if you want to mount it onto a wall/shelf).
Overall it is a very great camera with great versatility and is also able to be software-controlled (the remote is not necessary!). The image quality is crisp, and I like how I am able to cleanly zoom in and pan/tilt to adapt to different situations. There is no lag, whether you are using the remote control or the software, and it is easy to reset the settings if you mess up. If you do use the software, a great upside is that you are able to save/set presets for different camera settings. It's very convenient to switch through these depending on what you are using the webcam for.
The webcam is USB connected so it is simply just "plug-and-play". Additionally on the back has an extra audio and USB port for your extra devices. Overall, the camera is well worth its price for the quality and features that it provides. It is convenient for on the go travel, pairs well with Zoom/Google Meet/Teams, and provides a superb video.

I've been playing around with the webcam and it's one hella of an upgrade in comparison to the Nexigo N60. Overall a great camera but it may a bit overkill if you are not planning to use it a lot.

*The software for the webcam is very easy to comprehend and the control can do most of those things too!
*USB connection; it doesn't need to be connected directly to the pc to work properly. I use a USB tower and there's no lag nor any other problem
*Wide lens!! Or well, I can see way more of my room with this new webcam than the previous one I have. And then you just adjust the zoom and angle w the control and your set.
*You can mount it on the wall or ceiling and with the control, you can still make the image look good.
*If you're not happy with the setting you applied it's easy to back to the default settings by pressing Home.
*Mute bottom!! The controller has a mute button and also a camera-blocking function. You can use both at the same time too. The screen will just go black but the webcam will still be on.
Cons
*I've hopped in calls to test out the built-in mic and I've been told more than once to go back to my normal mic lol
*You can't pop it on your monitor like smaller webcams, and if you just put it on your desk it will 1) give a nice view of your double chin and 2)block your view on the monitor (not by a lot but it's there).
*Had to put a small floating shelf so I can set the camera there and point it to myself. This also adds the effect that I'm always looking down although I'm looking at my monitors.
*On my laptop I can see a nice image, but sometimes the people you are calling won't appreciate the same quality.
*Sometimes in calls, when you are already using zoom, the camera won't go up/down/left/right for whatever reason. So you have to unzoom, change the position and then zoom in again.

I bought this webcam for my home office and I’m very impressed with its performance. The image quality is superb, with crisp and clear details and vibrant colors. The zoom function is very handy, especially when I need to show something other than my face like when I am presenting on whiteboard. The remote control is easy to use and lets me adjust the camera angle and position with a button press, i have two areas that I show and I did set them as 2 presets, very useful. This helped me get rid of the mic because this also comes with a great mic. The webcam works well with Zoom and other video conferencing platforms, and it was easy to set up and install.
It is quite expensive compared to other webcams, but I think it is worth it for the quality and features. I have no complaints and I would highly recommend this webcam to anyone who needs a professional and versatile video conference camera system. It is definitely one of the best webcams I have ever used.

The NexiGo N990 4K PTZ camera is exactly what it says it is. The camera streams in 4k and at 50 or 60hz. The color quality is good as are the PTZ features. The controls are straightforward and easy to understand. Even the downloadable software that the company has available is no frill and just plain works.
The only drawbacks to this camera in my view are:
1. It does not have a "follow me" feature that automatically adjusts the pan/tilt to follow the subject through AI. Nexigo offers this camera at a similar price point to the OSBOT tiny camera and is about $100 cheaper than MEVO by Logitech. Both of those cameras do auto follow the subject
2. The remote is streamlined and easy to use, but a certain amount of practice is needed to get the camera to adjust to specific tasks. There are presets to make these adjustments quicker
All in all, this camera is truly plug-and-play for the PC (MEVO is not) and it is easy to use.
In our church setting this camera will come in handy for streaming worship services and various online meetings. The addition of free OBS software makes this camera easily interface with our song lyric software.

I would recommend this for zoom conferences because it has a great pan and tilt feature and the microphone's noise reduction feature works well. Additionally, the camera quality is crisp and clear, and you can control the exposure on it using the remote control, which I found really convenient.
I tested it out for streaming as well because that was my main concern and it works smoothly with streaming software. All in all a great webcam.

The Nexigo N990 (Gen 2) conference camera delivered on all of my expectations. I have struggled with a large department meeting using smaller webcams and phone conference lines, trying to piece together a meeting with remote and physical workers. Using the conference camera was the first time that it felt like everyone could interact without the normal web call problems.
The Camera resolution was great but the best part of the product is the zoom and movement controls. I mounted the camera in a central position but I could still control the angles as the meeting progressed, it was not what I expected to like the most but having the ability to fix how the meeting looked in the middle helped the participants at home.
The microphone worked as well and I used a more central speaker so all the participants could hear, it was convenient that the camera has a connection built in for this purpose.
I can not recommend this camera enough for meetings with live participants and remote workers. Very effective!

I really like and enjoy the camera & how easy it is to use. It also isn't really expensive. You definitely get bang for your buck. The remote control is easy to use. You ajusto have the ability to connect external mic's. I definitely recommend this camera.

First off I would like to say that this is the second NexiGo product that I own. I have used this conference camera (N990) for a week now, in about 50 meetings with potential clients and coworkers. The quality of the image is great for online meetings with Zoom and Microsoft Teams. I also like the PTZ functionality, as it has allowed us to rotate the image between speakers in the conference room, and mock-up displays we use. The built in mics are good, but we use the two external mic jacks for a better quality sound in our conference room (table mics). So far the quality of this camera is outstanding! Both the image and overall production built itself.
Two things of note:
1. The remote is handy, but sometimes it seems to lag a bit when a button is pushed (could be the angle we have the camera at vs. where we sit)
2. The zoom function is great when zooming in on mock-up details, but can appear a bit grainy. However this is true with many cameras used for internet meetings.
Over all I give this camera 5 of 5 stars! I am extremely happy with it!

The additional features take this video conference camera to the next level.
The Pros:
Dual-position preset is intuitively easy to program. Zoom in to a specific location for the first preset, press and hold the location "1" button on the remote, and it's set. Do the same for the second location you wish to set. This can be great for at-home use or business conference room use. You can make it look like you have a separate cameraman operating the camera in switching between the two views in real-time and not involving a video mixing board or post-production. Of course, you can always spend thousands of dollars and have a video production setup, but most people don't need that complexity and expense.
Although the camera has built-in dual stereo mics, it also has two 3.5mm audio jacks to attach additional microphones to the back of the base. Just imagine the usefulness of this for just a minute. Imagine that you want to make a YouTube video where you are interviewing someone, and you want crystal-clear sound from wireless lapel microphones connected to the conference camera. You can do it with this camera! This option alone may be the most significant selling point, but it's so easy to overlook in the description.
I'm looking forward to exploring what I can do with audio connections.
The Ultra HD 4K Sony Starvis camera sensor works great as usual. Of course, optical zoom can provide better clarity at the sacrifice of low-light sensitivity. The NexiGo N990 doesn't use optical zoom, but digital 5x zoom. Digital zoom works by basically cropping the 4k image down, and as a result, the image will pixelate a bit when fully zoomed in. Still, this camera has much better clarity for everyday video conference use than most video conference cameras out there. Can you get a higher-quality camera for video conference use? Of course, but it won't be easy to beat the price of the NexiGo N990.
The Cons:
The software had a conflict error with Microsoft .NET Framework on initial software installation on two different computers. One computer is running a currently updated version of Windows 10 Pro, and the other computer is running a currently updated version of Windows 11 Pro. This error didn't prevent the use of the software. Simply pressing the "Continue" button allowed the software to function correctly in all options I tested on both computers. I expect NexiGo will correct this software error in a future software update.
Summary:
The motor control of this camera is nearly silent. The camera has different mounting options for tabletop, wall, ceiling, or attached to a tripod. Even though most people can get by using a fixed mount camera, updating to a PTZ (movable) camera gives a professional look and feel to anyone on the other end of the video call. I like that a lot.
So yes, I am happy with my purchase. If you value some of the things in my review, then this camera may be what you're looking for, as it was for me.

I buy NexiGo products because they work, and they are awesome! They are also very easy to get started and use. This NexiGo N990 4K Camera is the best of them all and I have had a couple of them – the just keep getting better. As it seems that I am going to be in a ‘work from home’ model well into the future, this camera is a very good investment. Really nice long USB cord, and with my office setup, that was a plus in itself! This thing acts like a robot right out of the box, and I call it ‘R2D2’ as I am a Star Wars buff! Most satisfying about this webcam is when everyone compliments me about how crisp I am showing up on their side – now I know that the 4K is a true value!

Unless you want your workmates to see your entire room, I don't recommend this camera. I've tried various ways to fiddle with it but not been successful and after seeing 3 star comments, I realize that I'm not alone.
Needs feature to zoom in and out of picture so it's not so wide angle.

Its not as crispy as my other webcam kinda sucks i wanted something better that is why I bought this one. The cord is also a whole lot shorter than the Logitech. If you want to find better angles you cant.
Maybe I just don't know how to optimize the settings, but the one above is Nexigo 1080p 60fps and bottom Logitech HD1090 30fps.

overall it is a very good camera. The quality and focus gives a lovely ending. I just wish I could get it to stay firm at the top of the laptop but for some reason the mechanism seem to be different from others I have used. I might need to get a tripod to use with it and then it will work even better.

This is a great camera for a conference room setting where there are multiple people around a table but not as a single user WebCam. The angle is way too wide. It produces a very good image quality however it doesn’t have a privacy shutter and it’s not auto focus. So, it’s not the cameras fault it’s my fault for buying the wrong camera for my situation. If its intended purpose as what you needed for this is a very good camera for a good price.

I almost didn't buy this camera because of the bad reviews but I did it anyways and don't listen to them the camera is 60fps and the quality is so good at 1920x1080. How ever only get this camera if you want people on the other end to see your background I am a streamer so I have lights setup in the bad and my computer so if you are getting this for office work make sure you know that but otherwise its great.

The newer version of this webcam is a MASSIVE improvement. I've updated my review from 2-starts to 5-stars. Nexigo listens to their customers and updated the firmware on the webcam and the exposure is pretty close to perfect out of the box. See the updated video. I wish I could update the video but the newer version is no longer washed out. Still wide angle, still sharp focus, but the exposure is pretty close to spot-on.
The only advantage I see with this webcam is the wide-angle and clarity of the video. However, the white balance and colors are completely off. I'm certain this is not the normal webcam but I received a bad sensor on the webcam because you can clearly see the video quality is pretty bad.
In my test video, I'm using Windows 10 and the latest version of Zoom as of this date. The video is washed out compared to the cheaper "2K HD Webcam".
My search for a viable webcam continues.
UPDATE: Feb 11, 2011
I was able to control the quality of the video using gucview. Controlling the colors can be saved to a profile in Ubuntu but the default setting for the cam on Linux, Windows, and Mac is still expecting a very low indoor light. However with manual configuration, the webcam can be nailed to a much more natural color and exposure. I will still keep the rating a 2 out of 5, but if the camera had autosensing features to adjust to lighting situation I would give this a 4 out of 5. If it had additional autofocus this webcam would get a 5 out of 5.

I bought this to livestream on twitch. And so far it’s very good! Haven’t streamed just yet but I love the manual adjustment and the easy plug and play ability. I recommend so far.
