The ease of use is one of the best feature of this product, other wise I bought 3 of them, all gave same issue very weak connector to the laptop the flat head broke ( USB dongle) all 3 times. I have tried to handle this product with much care, despite that same results - I have passed the returning time window for 2 of them . I m thinking most people who gave a 5 star reviews, must have used the product perhaps for few weeks - This red track ball in the picture and the purple one in at the office. Both useless , the 1st was returned

Smooth Movement , Purple Elegance
Purple trackball delivers a buttery‑smooth glide that feels instantly responsive. Its high‑precision sensor tracks even the lightest finger taps, making cursor control feel effortless whether you’re navigating spreadsheets or fine‑tuning graphic designs. The matte purple finish isn’t just eye‑catching—it also resists fingerprints, keeping the surface looking pristine after hours of use. Ergonomically, the ball sits comfortably under the palm, reducing strain during long sessions. The buttons are intuitively placed, and the scroll ring adds a satisfying tactile feel for quick navigation.
Overall, this trackball combines striking style with top‑tier performance, making it a standout choice for anyone seeking smooth, reliable control in a vibrant package.

All the functionality of the Logitech trackball without having to play the dongle lottery.
Having been used to using trackball designs like this since Logitech had the USB to PS/2 interface adapters in the cases. Rather love the USB version in combination with a trackpad for my work and since Logitech has abandoned the wired version of this and there’s now *3* different dongles their equipment could require, I was looking for something I could use with a KVM setup and not have to have different dongles for each accessory. Using it with keyboard with a built-in hub, this will perfectly fit the bill.
The Nulea m509 is perfect for this use.

Outstanding mouse. Great replacement for Logitech models that no longer are made.
There is nothing I don't like about this mouse.
The only drawback for some is that the two buttons are not programmable, but in my use-case,
this isn't an issue as I have never felt the need to change defaults on my mice.

Comfortable, ergonomic trackball with a solid footprint
Out of the box I received the trackball device with a permanent USB A cable connected. Cable is approximately 5 feet long and appears to be very good quality. I like the matte color trackball device with a shiny purple trackball. It has a very discreet branding at the lower end of the device. Trackball speed can be adjusted to accommodate the user. This is my first trackball, however I was as comfortable as using a mouse device. I am also interested in purchasing a bluetooth version. I recommend this device.

I WANT to be able to use this
I ordered this because I love the idea and really want to be able to use it. But I am an old dog that just can't learn this new trick. 35 years of using a standard mouse has ruined the ability to switch over.
The mouse is very comfortable and I love just being able to lay my hand on the mouse lightly with no movement. After 30 years in IT my mouse thumb and mouse elbow always ache so was hoping to be able to use this to alleviate that some. It is much more comfortable for general use but I just am not precise enough with my thumb with the cursor to use in daily work when I need to be quick and precise with my clicks.
I do keep it plugged in and within reach and I still use it when doing more casual browsing, reading, etc.
Great device for those that can become more precise with it.

From someone who has two other Nulea mice
Nulea may not be as popular as Logitech, but they are equal when it comes to quality. I like Nulea because even though they charge a little less for their peripherals than Logitech; the quality is better. This mouse is wired, but it was created with care and thought. It has a long cord which I love and it offers two usb connect options. This mouse also may not be the heaviest or largest of the Nulea mice, but the quality is still there. I give this little mouse 5 stars. Aside from my other Nulea mice, I have a Logitech mouse that is over five years old and this mouse is on par to replace it. It is a trackball mouse, and by it being wired you (of course) don’t have to charge it. This is one mouse that is going to be a toss up between using it with my laptop (which is needed) or my desktop PC (which I want).

Plug and play but...
Man this ergonomic mouse is huge, you have to have big hand to really enjoy it.
This is my second track ball economic mouse and I have to tell you it is painful to use because the mouse is too smooth with no grid and its lay flat on the table (compare with my other track ball mouse that can switch to 45 degree angle to reduce the tension on my wrist, a Logitech mouse)
I give the mouse function a 5 but the comfort a 3 which comes down to average 4 on the score.
The wire cord is genius design between compatible with type C and USB 2.0 devices.
Track ball is also removable for easy access to clean.
Just wish they solve the issues listed above and it will be a perfect gadget everyone will for sure will love it.

I love this style of mouse, and I love this brand!
My new WIRED thumb-ball with scroller wheel mouse just came in. I am very happy. My first Nulea device was a wireless mouse - also a great mouse - but I find all wireless devices to be a tricky to share across devices - not an issue specific to Nulea, but to every product I've owned.
I have to share a mouse and keyboard across 4 computers, and I find wired devices operating with a switch to be BY FAR the fastest and most reliable way to use a single mouse and keyboard across many devices. I loved the size, feel and functionality of my first Nulea ball mouse, so I decided to check if they had a wired version. I was overjoyed they did.
This mouse has a great feel - does everything I need - a thumb-ball mouse with a roller wheel scroller - and delivers it at the best price I have found.
I really hope Nulea gains even more traction. They produce products that, in my opinion, are superior to Logitech (I had been a Logitech devotee for the better part of 3 decades), and at a much more competitive price point.
As a ball-mouse fan, Nulea, thanks for making such great devices, at such great prices.

The Trackball Glides Smoothly
Nicely constructed with quality materials, this version of the trackball is excellent. It stays in one place, allowing my thumb to do all the work, and the trackball glides smoothly. All the feature buttons are conveniently placed for easy access, making it ideal for right-handed users. It is quite sensitive, making it challenging to hold the cursor in a narrow vertical position, but the response is immediate with no hesitation. However, it doesn't fit my hand perfectly and isn't as comfortable as a regular mouse, which I find to be a better fit.

There's a learning curve, but it's worth a try if you're looking for a more ergonomic device
This is the wired version of the popular Nulea M501 wireless trackball. It's been a long time since I've used a trackball, so trying this out was like starting over. Overall, I like it, but several issues merit discussion.
MOVEMENT AND PRECISION -- My dual monitors have 717 sq. inches of space, which covers a lot of ground. Sometimes, I need to move across both monitors quickly, but other times, I need the precision to check tiny boxes spaced closely together. Sometimes, I need to click on a tiny "x" in the top right corner to close a window, and my next target is halfway across the screen. I've been using it for a week and am still a beginner. For this device to work effectively, getting comfortable changing the DPI using the button right below the scroll wheel is absolutely vital. It adjusts from 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1200, with each click taking the DPI upward to the next setting. The Windows mouse settings can expand or contract the DPI curve, permitting at least some customization.
ERGONOMICS—Using this for a week has been great for relieving pressure on my wrist, but now I wonder if I'm putting too much stress on my thumb. All the tracking work falls on my right thumb, and although that's the strongest muscle in the hand, I can't yet assess how it will hold up long-term. Previously, I used trackballs where the palm rather than the thumb engaged the ball. However, it is possible to reduce muscle strain by moving the entire hand, not just the thumb, or by applying less pressure to the ball.
FEATURES—The left-click, right-click, scroll wheel, and forward and back buttons all help make the device work once you get used to them. I've rarely used the forward and back buttons, but now I need to start learning to rely on them when possible.
CUSTOMIZATION -- My older mouse has fully customizable DPI settings, a feature I believe would help this product perform better. Unfortunately, that mouse costs three times what this one lists for and requires software that takes up 60 MB of memory. Still, those who can afford to pay more might want to look into that feature.
CONCLUSION -- For the money, this is an excellent way to escape from the constant shuffle of dragging around a mouse. Bear in mind, however, that only a touch-screen will obviate the need for a pointing device. You'll still be doing plenty of clicking.

Great Mouse
This mouse is easy to use, although if you never used one like this there is a bit of learning to use the scroll ball. This is very well made and the size is good for large hands to use. I like it because you don’t need to move the mouse, everything is done in a stationary position and it is very responsive.

Don't think I've ever read mouse instructions before
To be honest I did not try this for very long. I just couldn't get used to resting my hand on it but not moving it. I had considerably less control usually my thumb in the trackball. This is nothing against the product, just mt ability to use it we without spending time in the learning curve. Old dog just doesn't want to learn a new trick.

Butter smooth, and One click to change mouse speed
Old school thumb trackball mouse -upgraded.
A throwback from the 90's. I was unaware these were still made so had to get one. This was the upgrade from the mouse ball (you young'uns wouldn't know but before red laser mice, we had the trackball.) That we used to have a kids, but the newer mouse took over and these were lost to the ages.
But it was never like this!! I am amazed how smooth this rolled, and the button to change the DPI ( The distance the arrow travels) on a click 1-5 times (or was it 4?) Either way, you get to fine tune for drawing and selecting, and also fast speed for surfing and document editing while hand and arm are at rest. Mouse control is by thumb.
Easy to pop out the ball from the bottom and clean, or just roll the ball like olden days.
So nice to not have that red glow, its so bright on many other mice on the market and is perfect for light sensitive users or those with wrist issues.
Did I say how smooth it is? because it's dreamy smooth. You can also go into your PC and change the settings too if it's to fast or slow.
It really is a treat to use. Only downside is the DPI button is placed in the middle, and you can accidentally hit it with natural rest deadweight. Learning curve, is entirely new. cord is long, and it's so smooth guys. The cord also has an extra part at the end, if you want to plug it into a phone (or Oval c port)
Happy with it.

Trackball Mouse Provides Ergonomic Thumb Control - No Cheese Required
This Nulea corded trackball mouse arrived in a full-color box. The trackball was wrapped in a foam packing sheet. A warranty sticker, greetings card and instruction manual were also included.
This is an attractive looking, well-built and designed matte black trackball mouse. It's not too heavy, but solid enough. The bottom has four rubber pads that hold the device in place nicely. The rose maroon trackball moves nicely. The two primary mouse buttons are positioned nicely and feature a scroll-wheel between them. Situated below the wheel is an unobtrusive button that progresses through DPI settings, if changes are desired. Two addition buttons are present to the left of the click pads, although I've not used them. All of my modern mice devices have come with additional programmable buttons, which are convenient if you utilize them. They don't get in the way if you don't.
While it may take a minute to get used to this style of mouse, it works well and does provide relief if you experience discomfort from standard mouse use. It's also a nice option if you sometimes use a mouse without an appropriate surface (such as your knee or a finish that negates the tracking).
All in all, I'm happy with this trackball. Should my experience with it veer off course and become unwieldly to control in the future, the review will be updated.

HUGE but Love the track ball
It is quite huge in size esp for a 5.1 height person with relatively smaller hands. It is not plug and play - i had t tweaka few settings for it to work. USB is tight for my hp laptop. The mouse if overall heavy and moves my thin mousepad so I will be changing my mousepad as well. But the movement is smooth and trackball is just amazing. I work with excel and google sheets and always have tons of tabs open across three monitors on my desk and this track ball makes it a breeze to scroll horizontally. I wish it was wireless tho. Reasonably priced

proven design
I have own 3 logitech trackball from the original trackman, M575, and Ergo. My Ergo finally broke after 7 years. The quality of this nulea mouse is somewhere between the M575 and Ergo. The feel and quality is not too bad, but it doesn't have the weight of the Ergo. The Ergos also cost 3-4 times this mouse. In terms of everyday usage, you probably won't notice much difference. One major drawback of the nulea is that there is no way to program the mouse buttons. You only get backward, forward, and dpi. There is no horizontal scrolling either. The nulea is also wired. That might be okay for some people since you do need to move the mouse, but less convenient for traveling. The overall design of the nulea is decent. I can see myself using it for long hours. The click pressure is too high, but I can get used to it. However, just resting your palm on the mouse is more comfortable than most mouse and feels exactly the same as the logitech trackballs. The surface is soft matte which I'm sure will cause burn marks in the future. If you're looking for relief from your painful mouse, then this is it. I usually jump between regular mouse and trackball. That is the best way to avoid wrist problems.

Easy to Use
Just as good as the famous-brand similar mouse. The purple ball glides very easily. I can give it a shove and it will coast to the side of the screen I have targeted.
The back-forward buttons work easily, as do the right and left clickers. The grooved scroll wheel makes quick work of scanning up and down on the pages.
The mouse pointer speed switch comes in handy and is well placed.
The micro switches are not silent, as on some other mice.
Ergonomically, the mouse is well laid out. I find myself placing my thumb on the frame next to the ball in order to control the thumb jitters when fine-tuning the movement.
Highly recommended if you don't mind using your thumb to direct the mouse pointer.

Exactly what I wanted
I used to have one when I had a desktop but have only had laptops for the last decade. I’m over the little touch pad and I knew if I was gonna get a mouse it was gonna have to be a track ball. Love it. The price + Quality = Value / a great purchase.

Very comfortable ergonomic mouse
I live the feel and comfort of this mouse. It might take get a little time to get accustomed to it aince you use your thumb to move the main cursor around with the tracking ball, but once you I believe you will not want to go back to using a standard mouse.
This mouse alleviates so much stress from your wrist by keeping your hand stationary. The tracking ball also has a very nice weight to it that allows for a sort of tactile feedback that is pleasant and makes the product feel professionally made.
You have access to all features that you need due to the layout of the buttons and scroll wheel. The only thing I wish that I couls change about this is that I would like for the right and left buttons to be silent. This is by no means significant enough for me to complain about or to remove a star. I am thoroughly impressed with this mouse!

Excellent mouse - very responsive
Very comfortable ergonomic design. I have been using it for a week and it is just perfect for my needs.
The ball moves the cursor easily and smoothly across my dual monitors, just like the main name brand models do. The 2 buttons on the left work well to instantly scroll to the top or bottom of the page when browsing.
It is nice to have the interchangeable option for the cable to use either USB A or USB C. Tapping the scroll wheel automatically scrolls up or down. The center button behind the scroll wheel is for adjusting the sensitivity of the cursor. The default is 800-1200, but this mouse has 5 level settings from 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1200.
Overall a very nicely designed mouse that works very well. I like that I will never have to worry about charging or have to wake up the mouse again as I had to do with my wireless mouse.

Very comfortable during use, flexible configuration setup
Having utilized personal computers at work and home for decades I developed carpel tunnel in my wrist so using a basic style mouse is simply too painful nowadays so switching to a trackball type mouse was something I did quite a few years ago. Sadly my old trackball mouse stopped working so I ordered this new Ergonomic Wired Trackball Mouse for home use and it works perfectly for me as it is not only very comfortable for my wrist position, it provides great flexibility in performance in its setup capabilities with adjustable trackball and double click speeds and button functionalities. Very high quality mouse product in my opinion.

Great trackball at an even better price
I have used trackball mice for years and find them so much more comfortable if you use your mouse constantly. Nulea has made a very nice mouse that is constructed well and moves smoothly. You can adjust the sensitivity to your needs and you can plug it into USB-C or USB-A ports in your computer. The quality is very nice on this mouse and if you have used other trackballs from other manufacturers, you know the price for this mouse is outstanding. It feels just as good as the other major manufacturer, and in some ways better. I have larger hands, so this trackball actually fits my hand better than others I have used in the past. I have no problems recommending this mouse for anyone who is looking for a great trackball at a great price.
