A good 4k camera for your computer or laptop

The OBSBOT 4k Webcam is a good camera and it gives me an image that is quite similiar in quality as my macbook pro camera on my laptop. It seems to have a wider view so more is being shown on the video feed. Colors and and clarity are pretty close and if there are differences it is very minor. I think this is a good camera if your in the market for one.

I like the following things about it:

Image quality, Its there and I like the wider angle view.

The device sits on top of the screen pretty easy and it doesnt cover any (or much at all) of he image screen on my laptop display.

Easy connectivity, just plug it into usb-c cable to the device and your machine and it pretty much works (mac).

There arent any real instructions. It comes with this little booklet that gives you not much info. For me it was just plug it in and switch to this camera in your apps settings to use the OBSBOT vs whats already built into your machine as default.

If your looking for a good camera for your machine I think you may want to consider this as I think it functions pretty well even if the instructions are lacking.

Good webcam for the price

Pretty happy with this webcam. The picture is clear and looks good on video calls. It was super easy to set up—just plug it in and it worked right away. Nothing fancy, but it does exactly what I need for work meetings and everyday use.

Small compact design makes it great for traveling with work

I travel a lot for work and am on camera during TEAMs calls. I know i could easily just use the built in camera on my laptop but i just can never angle myself in frame that works without my laptop having to be lifted onto something higher. This OBSBOT camera was super easy to set up, was basically plug and play and is compatible with Windows 11 laptop. It folds up easily to an even more compact size and i can pack it into my laptop bag. The camera quality is very crisp and clear. The microphone works well and so does the noise reduction. The camera does use USB-c which is fine for me as my laptop has multiple slots for them. If you don’t have USB-c it comes with an adapter for regular USB. I haven’t played around too much with the software but i can say that the auto-focus and face tracking works well and I like being able to use features like zooming in and out. One small thing i do wish the webcam had was a way to swivel the camera left and right. It basically can only move up and down so unless the webcam is directly in the middle of you screen you won’t be able to really have it off to the side and angle it too well. Not too big of a deal. Otherwise I’m really happy with this camera.

Sharp Video, Smart Features, and a Very Convenient Foldable Design

The OBSBOT Meet Flip is a feature-packed webcam that feels like a noticeable upgrade over a basic built-in laptop camera. The biggest improvements for me are the sharper image quality, fast autofocus, AI framing, and the compact foldable design that makes it easy to use at a desk or take along with a laptop.

The 4K picture quality is clear and detailed, and the larger 1/2-inch sensor helps produce a cleaner image than most standard webcams. Lighting and skin tones look more balanced, especially in rooms where the lighting is not perfect. HDR is also useful when there is a bright window or other strong light source in the background because it helps keep the image from looking completely washed out.

Autofocus is quick and reliable. The PDAF system adjusts rapidly when moving closer to the camera or changing position, which is helpful during meetings, presentations, or demonstrations where you are not sitting completely still.

AI framing is another useful feature. Instead of constantly adjusting the webcam angle manually, it can keep you positioned more naturally in the frame as you move around. That is especially convenient for video calls, online teaching, presentations, or anyone who likes to stand while talking.

The gesture controls are a nice touch as well. Being able to control certain functions without reaching for the computer makes the webcam feel more polished, although there is a little bit of a learning curve when first getting familiar with the gestures.

I also like the foldable design. It makes the Meet Flip much easier to carry than a bulky desktop webcam, and it does not take up much room in a laptop bag. The design also gives you flexibility with positioning and camera angles.

The built-in dual microphones are convenient for everyday Zoom and Teams calls. Voice pickup is clear enough for normal meetings, although anyone doing professional recording or streaming may still prefer a dedicated microphone.

Beauty mode and the other software features provide additional flexibility if you want to adjust how you appear on camera. The AI Notes feature is also an interesting addition for people who spend a lot of time in meetings and want more productivity-focused tools built into their setup.

Compatibility with both Mac and PC makes it easy to use across different work setups, and it works well for common video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Hardware is high quality but really lacking on sturdiness.

This webcam is very small and light, and the picture quality and audio quality are both pretty solid for what it is and the price point. However, like other reviewers have mentioned, it has a major drawback in terms of how sturdy it is. Given that it's wired up and it doesn't really have a very good mounting mechanism, it moves around a lot, and it's pretty finicky in terms of getting it to sit in the right position. If you have a standard desktop setup, then it's not too bad. But if you have a laptop, even if the laptop isn't moving, it's a real pain to adjust it to focus and be directed at your face, and honestly a bit too much of a hassle for me.

Excellent 4K Webcam with Powerful AI Features

I've used several other OBSBOT products, and this webcam definitely lives up to the name. The design is excellent—compact, practical, and very easy to use. The image and video quality are impressively clear, especially compared with the built-in webcams found on older PCs and laptops.

It's completely plug and play, so you can start using it right away, but the OBSBOT software adds a whole other level of functionality. There are extensive settings and AI features for things like framing and focus, which make it much easier to stay properly positioned during calls, recordings, or presentations.

The gesture controls are another feature I didn't expect to use as much as I do, but they're actually quite convenient. I also like the ability to create and save presets, which makes switching between different setups quick and easy.

The foldable design is practical for travel and storage, and there are plenty of mounting options. Compatibility is also excellent across different apps and setups.

Overall, this is a very capable webcam that combines excellent image quality with genuinely useful software and AI features. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade from a built-in laptop or older webcam.

High quality, super compact mini-webcam with excellent software effects

This webcam blows me away in how it’s able to get such a high-quality image in such a small size. I’m thrilled to see how versatile this tiny powerhouse is, given that it can fold closed, hang into all of my monitors and laptops, and even mount onto any standard quarter-inch mount. You can even adjust the angle just enough to get the framing just right.

Most of the high-end effects come from the software, so if you’re planning on layering on a lot of effects, your computer will need to be able to keep up with it. That being said, the basic effects work flawlessly on my 5-year-old laptop, so I’m enjoying this. You also don’t need to use the software at all if you just want it plug-and-play, so it’s easy to use.

I appreciate the ability to physically flip the camera down, which is great for privacy, instead of relying on the software to turn off the feed. As for the microphone, I admit that it’s not a high-quality mic. However, it is good enough for meetings even in my noisy room thanks to the software noise suppression. For me, this is a great mini camera that gives me more professional visuals in meetings. Hope this helps!

Really really nice camera!

This 4K flip webcam is seriously impressive for anyone who spends a lot of time on video calls or creating content! 🎥 The 1/2" sensor and 4K resolution give you a much more polished picture, while the AI framing helps keep you centered without constantly adjusting your camera.

I really like the PDAF autofocus because it keeps the image sharp, and the dual microphones are a great addition for meetings, Zoom calls, Teams, or recording content. The HDR and beauty mode are also nice features when you want a more polished look on camera.

The flip design is another feature I really appreciate because you can easily adjust or fold the camera away when you're finished. With gesture control and AI Notes thrown in, this is much more than a basic webcam—it’s packed with features for work, meetings, streaming, and content creation.

Surprisingly good sound and picture

This is a surprisingly impressive little webcam. I don't keep one always active but occasionally need one for work meetings. This is more than good enough. The picture quality is crisp. The audio quality is clean (no "fuzzy" static or anything). And I haven't even played with the AI features. It would be an affordable option just as a standard 4k web cam.

This camera is also quite small. It doesn't take up much of a footprint. And the foldable nature makes it very adjustable so it works from a variety of mounting positions. Overall, I'm very happy with this webcam.

Requires USB-C / Doesn't fit on my monitor

I also have another OBSBOT camera -- I love these cameras and even the software. But neither is perfect.

PROS: The Meet Flip has great quality, you'd never know it's a compact camera from the recording. It will sit on a monitor or on a flat surface. The software lets you use "auto framing" which will zoom/track you as you move around.

It has a bunch of other features I don't use -- like group mode and hand gesture. The software is really-really nice. It lets you manage more than one OBSBOT at a time and is clearly made for influencers and gamers. You can do PIP, switch cameras, etc. The built-in mic's audio quality is better than most and will 'do just fine'. I suspect most people going for this setup will use an external mic.

Here's the big CON:

You cannot point this camera upward. The lens part moves, but it only "flips down" and doesn't "aim up". You can do some amount of aiming up by adjusting the stand part. But the mount is so narrow that, even on my not-that-thick monitor, I cannot get the camera to point upwards enough so that my head doesn't get cut off. This is with the camera on top of my monitor which is about forehead level.

The other CON is that it's so light that if the USB cable isn't aligned directly behind the camera, it will pull the camera to the side.

This camera is nice and small, has a very good recording image and excellent software. The mount design is its weakest feature.

Confident you have the best camera on your meeting calls

GREAT Camera. Excellent webcam for hooking ontop of a monitor, or laptop. Much much better than built in cameras on any laptop I've used, Mac or PC.

The software is really useful and works great. You don't need to install it for it to be recognized. That being said you should It works great. Adding easy to use commands and backgrounds and well, anything you could need for a good quality webcam experience.

The camera itself is so small it fits easily into a laptop bag, or a desk setup without taking much room at all. It folds to about the size of two AAA batteries. You don't need any batteries, I'm using that as a small explanation for the size that many probably could understand.

Hookup is USB C and couldn't be any easier. Also works USB C to USB A. An adapter is included for this if your PC doesn't have USB C as a port option.

The microphone provides super clear calls. About the same as my phone, which is a flagship model. Very impressed by the clarity for such a tiny little device.

Holds securely to where you put it, so not like some of the cameras that only use gravity and a prayer to stay put. At the same time, by no means is it something that will hold so tight I need to worry about damage. It is a fulcrum hinge point that you adjust to fit your needs.

Was packaged nicely with the main box, and a handy good quality lens cloth. I believe this is by the seller. It is nicer than the cheap ones usually included with sunglasses, so that's a nice bonus. Small enough to throw in my bag and have a good quality cloth to wipe it with, but thick enough to feel like I'm doing something with it.

Amazing the picture and sound quality included in such a small camera. I can only imagine what some of their other models do. I am excited to find out.

Ultra sharp quality webcam!

This little webcam is pretty darned amazing with its quality level. The 1/2" CMOS image sensor does the trick in low lighting, and also for high quality despite whatever megapixel count it sits at. 1080p at 60fps is perfect for most video call needs that aren't on massive TV screens, and 4k at 30fps can cover you if that's the case. The dual microphone pickup sounds good on the receiving end, too. I give it four stars only because of the expense of the device - there are others comparable to this that use Sony sensors, for example, that are less expensive. They may be a smidge larger though, which is perhaps this company's justification for charging more, but device size is not a big deal when we're talking about little webcams. Anyway, it's a high quality gadget that I'd recommend.

Pricey, but does work

This flip foldable webcam literally has a mind of its on, sort of. It knows what you need before even asking. It’s AI functions are well advanced. This webcam will put you in the elite class of your colleagues.

It offers 4K clarity, AI framing through motion that actually works. It is almost scary, the capability this webcam offers. It has razor sharp focus that keeps you and others in the frame. It works great with my MacBook, as well as with my surface, making it versatile over several platforms.

It is compact and folds for easy transport. The cost is a little pricey but I will say all the features work as described. I highly recommend this product.

Great quality! Enjoy every minute using it.

The best camera you should definitely buy is one that is incredibly clear, true to color, and follows your face. You can also use gestures to control it, allowing you to zoom in easily. The camera’s design is so detailed and feels incredibly good quality overall. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Fantastic quality video in a tiny package

I purchased this OBSBOT Meet Flip webcam to use both with my kids, so they can video call their grandparents and occasionally for work if I want something that's a bit clearer than my built in webcam. I was really blown away by how well this works - both the graphics quality and smart features - and it manages it in an incredibly compact and portable form factor.

This OBSBOT webcam is incredibly small and makes a great portable camera. The usb-c cable is significantly bulkier than the camera itself. The design is very clever - there's a fold-out bottom support arm that allows you to securely fasten it to the top of a monitor, and then the front flips forward to reveal the camera, mic and status LED. Flipping it down makes it easy to see that the camera has been blocked for privacy (while my work computer's built in webcam can be difficult to tell if the shutter is open or closed). There is a directional mic next to the camera, as well as a status LED that shows when the camera is active as well as reacts in response to the hand gestures this recognizes.

I plugged this into a few different windows computers and it was immediately recognized with no drivers or other software required. The picture quality is EXCELLENT - again, absolutely huge upgrade over built in webcams. My biggest complaint might be that at close distances, you can make out stray hairs and pores... Using the camera with teams, the software recognzied both the camera and mic without any issue. The background blur effect worked great as well.

I also installed the webcam on my son's computer so he could call my parents and maybe have a more stable picture than with a cell phone. I used the built in track and zoom features so it would do its best to keep at least one kid in frame. I'm very impressed that all of the gesture recognition features work without any specialized software - it all appears to be done internally within the camera. Using the hand-wave gesture, I was easily able to enable the track / zoom feature and it did a good job moving around the room and keeping the kids in frame. When this feature is active, the front LED turns purple, which is a nice touch to give positive confirmation that the gesture was recognized. The zoom in / zoom out gesture also was easily picked up when I tried it.

The sound quality on the camera also seemed great. I didn't really put the noise cancellation to the test as all of the environments I've called from have been fairly quiet, but the audio comes through clearly without any echo effects that would indicate a speakerphone. It definitely seems usable without a headset.

Overall, this is a very impressive camera with a great feature set, no need for extra software (although there is additional software available) to use all of its features, and an incredibly tiny size. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking for improved video quality on calls.

Does It Stand Out Enough To Justify The Price?

This camera would fall into that category primarily because of the price which seems a bit high to me and for my purposes. I tend to start at a three star level which for me means that a product is average but with room for improvement and this camera just barely made it to four. I should also say that if I order something I intend to use it and not just review it so I can give you an accurate assessment as far as it relates to my needs. This camera is impressive in its build quality, it feels solid and even when working the hinge it seems that it will stand up to repeated uses. The image sensor is pretty good and fairly responsive as far as web cameras go; I was able to focus from as near as about six inches to across the room without any issues. Its actually kind of impressive to see how quickly you can go from focusing close up for instance like your hand's fingerprints and then moving your hand and watching it quickly focus on the books on my shelf across the room. I am somewhat dubious on their claims of resolution because I don't seem to get the quality that they claim - and I have done photography and videography for almost thirty years so I know how to set things correctly. Now don't get me wrong, it does look fairly good and will definitely get the job done for general use but I just don't think it quite reaches the levels that they seem to hint at. The biggest thing for me is that at the price point they set for this camera it should blow me away but I am only moderately impressed. There are cheaper cameras out there that do pretty much everything this one does and while it has a few unique features, I am not sure if they justify the price or not. If you don't mind the price and are aware of the points I have made, I think you will like what this camera can do and the fun features that it includes.

Tiny option, perfect for laptops and travel, but an amazing camera for home office use as well.

Osbot has been my go to for cameras for work from home since I found out about them. Absolutely minimal footprint, while delivering performance much greater than many peers in the market. Of which I don't personally think they have any, as they stand above the rest. This camera is no exception.

I've used two other Osbot cameras. This one works similarly, however naturally doesn't follow you in a similar mechanical way. I'll say though, if not for having the others first I probably would have gotten this.

Super small footprint, and holds onto the laptop really well. You can walk around with the laptop and not worry about it toppling off. It would work well for travel on a plane, train, waiting station or similar.

Easy plug and play, or you can install the software and really unlock the features. The gestures are super helpful once you teach yourself them. I don't love using AI note taking, but I could see it being useful for others. I have something else setup that I'm used to using. The lighting and sound adjustments actually do something other than just being in the range of sort of useful, good, and sort of useful again then a bunch of useless ones like on some of the big name cameras you can buy at big box stores. These give you a range and it really works with different lighting conditions, even within my home office. Some sunny days are different than darker days and it is nice to be able to quickly adjust and not have it simply be acceptable, but quality.

Audio plays well over the mic, as with my others. I get compliments on how good the audio is all the time.

When done with a call, easy to flip over and be done with it as a privacy feature, instead of a slide or something similar to block it off. This gives a quick visual queue to tell if video is on or not if you get in that habit.

Image is crystal clear. To the point people think I have a pro-style camera setup. It is really impressive for this value point.

Comes with a USB C-C cord, and also comes with a USB C-A adapter for if you need to use a USB A port.

Excellent camera for on the go, that barely takes up any room in my laptop bag, that performs as good as or better than a much bigger option.

Amazing camera.

Great camera for on the go recording or in office use

The OBSBOT Meet 4K webcam delivers great 4K image quality, all in a compact, travel friendly design. Compact Size and Excellent Image Quality

This camera is much smaller than I expected, which was a surprise. It fits neatly on top of my Dell monitor without taking up much space. The image quality is excellent, very clear and sharp. exceeded my expectations. Very good for day to day meetings
