Best tiny but shockingly powerful EDC light on the market
So, I sadly lost the grey oLight that I am officially reviewing, but I was just wanting to add the grey one to my existing collection, which started when I got the orange one back in January of 2025.
This little light can take a real beating (It has endured constant abuse at the hands of my two boys aged 2 and 3 now, and it still works like it did on day one). The clip is nice and strong, the range on the spot light is super handy, as is the brightness on the flood.
The only thing I would change is the placement of the magnets, which they have updated with future models. I can't wait to upgrade to one of them.
I would recommend spending a bit more to get some of the additional features that have been added.
However, for this price range I think this is the best little light on the market, and I have sampled and purchased some of the most popular ones.
Also, the battery life on this thing continues to surprise me on a daily basis.

Great little grab-and-go light after 18 months of regular use
I bought my Oclip Pro in March 2025, so I’ve been using it regularly for about a year and a half now. I have other flashlights around the house and in my vehicles, but this became the one I’d grab when heading out the door and wanted a light in my pocket “just in case.” It’s small and light enough that I barely notice it clipped to a pants pocket, but capable enough that I’ve found a lot of uses for it.
The narrow and broad white beams are both genuinely useful. Most of the time I’m illuminating things within about 6–10 feet, and I usually prefer the broad beam for moving around in the dark or lighting a general area. There aren’t any noticeable dead areas in the light. The narrow beam has considerably more reach. I’ve even used it to investigate a noise down in a valley and had enough light to see the reflection from a group of deer’s eyes and figure out what I was looking at.
I also use the red light fairly often, especially when I’m around other people and want to preserve night vision. One feature I really appreciate is that you can select red while the light is OFF and then turn it on, so you don’t have to blast yourself or somebody else with white light first. The red light has multiple brightness levels and a slower flashing mode. Three quick clicks of the power button while using either white light also activates a very bright rapid strobe.
There’s also a useful ultra-low setting that I didn’t appreciate until I started using the light regularly. If you press and hold the power button from off, it comes on with just a tiny amount of light. It’s enough to orient yourself in a very dark environment or make yourself visible without throwing a normal flashlight beam around. I use this frequently while walking the dog at night. If I need more light, I can just tap the button and step up through the normal brightness settings.
The controls are one of my favorite parts of the design. The selector dial surrounds the power button, so once my thumb is there I can flick the dial back and forth to select the type of light and press the center button to operate it. Everything is in one place and can be operated one-handed. It’s also very tactile. I’ll admit that I sometimes find myself flicking the selector back and forth when the light is off like a little fidget toy.
The built-in clip holds securely and has never given me trouble, although it doesn’t open particularly wide. Clothing is no problem and a baseball-cap brim is about as thick as I’d want to go. My biggest limitation with this model is that neither the clip nor the light pivots, so when you clip it onto something, you’re limited in where you can aim it.
The magnet is excellent. I work around a lot of steel, so it gets plenty of use, and it’s strong enough that I actually store the light attached to a wrought-iron hook by my front door. Between the clip, magnet and rectangular body, it’s very easy to use hands-free. The rectangular shape is an underrated feature too—you can set it down without having it roll away.
Battery life has been very good for my use. I tend to be conservative with brightness and can go several days of intermittent use before needing to recharge it. Obviously, the brighter settings drain it faster. It uses regular USB-C, and I’ve had no trouble charging it with different cables. A full charge does take a while, though, and one thing I would definitely improve is the battery indication. There’s a red indication on the control, but it’s easy to miss, and I’d really like a clearer way to see how much battery remains.
After about 18 months of regular use, mine has held up extremely well. There’s a little wear in the orange finish around the magnet where the silver aluminum is starting to show through, but that’s about it. The lens still isn’t scratched, the clip and magnet are still strong, and even the rubber cover over the USB-C port is still firmly attached despite my tendency to fidget with it.
The build quality was probably my biggest surprise. It just feels good in the hand. The aluminum body feels solid without being heavy, the corners and edges are nicely rounded, and there are little details like grooves around the magnetic end that give it a nice tactile feel. The lens and power button are slightly recessed, which protects them when you set the light down and also helps prevent accidentally turning it on in your pocket.
I originally bought orange simply because it was cheaper than some of the other colors at the time. After owning it this long, I’d intentionally choose a bright color again. It’s much easier to spot when I set it down or am looking for it in poor lighting.
There are a few things I’d improve: a better battery-level indicator, somewhat faster charging, and especially some ability to pivot the light when it’s clipped on. But those are relatively minor complaints after a year and a half of use.
If I lost this one tomorrow, I’d definitely buy another Olight. I might try a different model rather than automatically replacing it with the exact same one, but that’s mostly because owning this one has made me interested in what else they make.

Need better controls
Turn dial is nice, but has awful press-and-hold controls. Tried to play around with it without reading instructions, thought something was wrong with the main light as it was dimmer than my smartphone torch light. Apparently you have to hold the power button to cycle through intensities. Not of fan of pressing and holding, should have included another button or scroll wheel
Medium light setting is similar to smart phone light or traditional flashlight
Ultra tiny, lightweight and portable.
Magnet is okay. Doesn't feel like a solid grip, but holds it weight well
Clip is decent. Has a solid hinge. Not really balanced. Best to clip on a backpack strap than on your shirt collar as its not stable
Red light emergency signaling is a nice addition. Need to press and hold to turn on strobe light feature

Small Light, Big Hero
This little flashlight punches way above its size. Bright, sturdy, and insanely convenient. I clipped it to my duty vest and now wonder how I ever worked without it. Easy to charge, easy to use, and bright enough to make bad lighting regret its choices. Highly recommend!

Good light, great company
It’s Orange, it’s bright, I like the different beam patterns.
The power (brightness) is adjustable which is nice. I use the red light a lot. The battery life if great and lasts for hours.
It’s a little bit bigger than you would expect, but not bad. The aluminum construction keeps it nice and light. The clip is strong and secure. The back of the light is magnetic, which allows hands free placement on steel.
If I had to pick out some thing, I didn’t like it would be the switch. Overall, I find it a little bit finicky to go between modes. Not bad, just cumbersome to cycle between settings.
For the price, great little light!

Great flashlight at a great price
Great flashlight. I wanted something small, hands free when walking my dog in the evening. This light is great and super bright! It has three settings of brightness for each light setting. Three light settings, wide light, focused light and a red light.
The light also has a clip which makes it easy to clip on my jacket or hoodie. I would recommend to anyone. I charged it every other night and have never ran out of battery power. For example, its gets a good 45 minutes of use almost every night and never had a problem. I would buy again.

Best emergency service body clip light
Very highly recommend this for Leo’s. My department issued us cheap garbage body lights from galls, but I didn’t like how dim it was and I had to replace the batteries. This light is the most well built unit I have ever experienced and the light output is more than exceptional with all the modes. It makes night shift so much better when you go down dark alleys or neighborhoods. Thank you to the designers and engineers that crafted this masterpiece since you guys never really get the praise you deserve. It stays locked in on my vest even with my initial concerns for retention, and the switch is easy to manipulate after a little bit of getting used to the orientation. I appreciate the attention to tactical detail with the button placement because my old one had the button front and center and would turn on with an accidental press or fight. I prefer this over the guardian angel shoulder light. I see this light being very handy in all first responder fields.

Perfect clip on hands free light!
This is an amazing little light for the size. The controls are super easy to use. When I first turned it on I thought oh it’s not bright enough then I forgot there’s three different light brightness settings. When I maxed it out on level three it had plenty of illumination and the red light is awesome when you don’t want to throw a bunch of light down range and still see what you’re doing.

Battery not as good as advertised otherwise great
I wish the battery was better definitely no where near 100 hours runtime I’ve charged it 3x I haven’t even had it a week other than that’s it’s great tiny light update 2/26 it completely stopped working I usually bite the bullet on things like this cause it’s inconvenient to return and it’s only $40 but I feel like I was robbed in broad daylight never buying from this company again my $35 AA Milwaukee light does just as good just not as compact shame really it looks cool and was bright while it worked

Didn't know how much I needed this until I had one
This light is super handy, I love how easily I can stick it anywhere. The clip is great for attaching it to things, and the magnet is a lifesaver for metal surfaces. Seriously, just find a spot and clip or stick it on – instant extra light! It's made tackling those darker corners so much easier. Definitely a game-changer for me.
A little bonus feature is the setting for red light pulsing. I like to have this option for when I'm walking my dog at night so I can be more visible to drivers.

Small but insanely versatile — classic Olight quality
This little Olight absolutely punches above its weight. For such a compact clip-on flashlight, the output is impressive — 500 lumens is more than enough for everyday tasks, night walks, cycling, or quick emergency use. The multiple lighting modes make it surprisingly versatile, and switching between them is intuitive.
The clip is strong and secure, and the magnetic base is incredibly handy. I’ve clipped it to a backpack strap, a bike, and even stuck it to metal surfaces when working hands-free. The rechargeable battery with USB-C charging is a huge plus, and battery life has been excellent so far.
As expected from Olight, the build quality feels premium. It’s solid, well-finished, and doesn’t feel cheap at all. The orange color also makes it easy to spot in a bag or toolbox.
Pros:
• Bright 500-lumen output for its size
• Multiple useful lighting modes
• Strong clip and magnetic base
• USB-C rechargeable
• Excellent build quality
Cons:
• Small size means easy to misplace (not really a flaw)
Overall, this is one of the most useful EDC lights I’ve owned. Compact, powerful, and thoughtfully designed — exactly what I expect from Olight.

Could not handle my every day
Took 10 months for it to malfunction. This was my bike light and had to ride home in the dark. Undependable.
Update: their lifetime warranty is painless. Changing it from 1 star to 4.

Small and super useful
Great little light. Can clip to a beanie as a headlight, coat pocket, magnet to an engine for extra lighting in tight spots. I do really wish olight would make one of these but 2 or maybe 3 times bigger. At that point it would be an absolute killer of a work light. This one is so small I fear losing it, recommend putting a lanyard on it

Great EDC Clip Light
Just got the orange aluminum OClip Pro, and I’m impressed. It feels solid and well-built without being heavy, and the orange color really pops. The clip is excellent. Strong, versatile, and stays put whether on a hat, pocket, or backpack strap.
The brightness surprised me: for its size, it’s really powerful. The top setting lights up a whole room, while the lower modes are perfect for reading or close-up tasks. This has quickly become my go-to EDC light. Highly recommend!

A must-have for night shift
I love this little thing! It's so much easier to use than trying to juggle a flashlight in so many situations. I don't find the spotlight function especially useful as you find yourself trying to point your body at things, but that's what the flashlight on my belt is for. It's pretty powerful for its small size, and I hardly notice it on my vest. It seems to be built well. I had it clipped to a shield, and it was knocked onto concrete without sustaining even a scratch. The battery lasts a good long while, and the USB-C charging functionality is very convenient.
I only have two minor complaints. First, the "strobe" function flashes very slowly. It's more of an SOS beacon than the strobe that I use on my flashlight which can be used to disorient someone. Second, I don't like the shiny blue trim but that's more of a taste issue.
Overall, I like this light and I would buy this again.

great magnet!
Good magnet. I have had flashlight about 9 months. a little spendy, but exactly what my wife was looking for with easy access to modes, low light mode, spot, flood and red. I used it to change the brakes and forgot about it during the test drive and did 10 miles with it attached to inside of the fendor. it is orange in the picture. I found it still attached when I got back. this light is awesome.

Versatile and High-Quality OLIGHT Flashlight – Perfect for Every Need
I absolutely love this OLIGHT flashlight! The clip-on feature is incredibly convenient, allowing me to attach it easily wherever I need it. The magnetic base is a game-changer—I've been sticking it to my ceiling AC vent, which is perfect for when I’m ironing in my bedroom because the overhead lighting is so dim.
I also appreciate the long battery life, the brightness level, and how compact and lightweight the flashlight is. It feels like a high-quality, well-made product. I’ve even used the red lamp setting to set a cozy mood in my bedroom by clipping it to the ceiling fan—such a versatile feature!
Overall, this flashlight exceeds my expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable and handy light source.
