Greatest little speaker!

Bought this over 3yrs ago, and has always worked great with a long battery life! Kids blare music all the way up and hasn't blown the speaker.

We use it around the pool and gets left out in the rain all the time with no water damage.

We did have one unfortunate accident where I had it set on the side of the skidloader and my Husband brought the bucket down on it.... but still works great!

Will definitely be getting a new one cause I dont think it's waterproof anymore:/

Solid speaker for the price. Not going to rattle your walls

This is a cool little speaker and I really love the idea you can dual pair these so you can have “surround sound” for under $50. The sound is loud, and there’s a little bit of depth but don’t expect anything earth shattering.

I won’t compare this to Bose or JBLs because obviously those are superior brands (for the size the JBL Clip 4 is vastly superior) but for the price point this is an excellent little speaker. If you need something to play some music or want a little movie speaker and you don’t want to drop really any money, I’d recommend this guy.

Wonderful little speaker

This is a good little speaker. It doesn't have the bass of the Angle 3, but it does not sound like a cheap transistor radio either. Setting the speaker on end, with the side "speaker" down on a table or desk gives you much better sound than leaving it flat because of its acoustical design. Brilliant. Unlike other small speakers, when you turn this one up halfway (and tick off people a few rooms away), it really shines! No distortion and the bass does not dissipate.

Update 3/6/2026: I had to come back to say that the sort of surface you stand this speaker on makes a world of difference. At work, I have it on a heavy plastic folding table and, if I didn't know it was my own speaker, would swear someone had something larger nearby. I cannot believe the bass emanating from this tiny speaker and through the table! I should have boutght a pair.

Better Than You Think, Smaller Than it Looks

Bought this for use with a laptop & to stream radio programs from my tablet, so I wasn't expecting the world from this. I was amazed at the quality of product and sound for this price! It's also very light. Leave it to Cambridge, great stuff even in the smallest categories.

It's a lot smaller than it appears on the website, so I've posted a photo of it in actual size, so you know exactly what you're ordering. Also a photo alongside the LG PL2 (Boom Go) speaker, to put it in perspective. I really love this speaker, it's much better than what you expect in this price range.

One oddity: The Warranty is secured by texting a number from your phone (strange). It works, you get an auto-reply back & I guess that's how they process warranty requests (tied to your phone number). I posted a photo of the warranty sticker on the back of the speaker itself.

Bottom Line: Buy this, it's great.

I would have gave it 5 stars maybe or no more then at least say 3-4 because of warranty and the fact it stop working and I don’t know if I’ll get a new one free plus I doubt it’s waterproof which is foolish because you can get a cheaper waterproof Bluetooth speaker I’m not buying this model again but when the speaker was working it was loud and had a powerful subwoofer loud bass/speaker.

Good for personal listening, not for anything else

I was able to keep up with the OontZ Solo speaker for an hour - my experience was underwhelming.

This speaker works well for tabletop use, smaller areas like bathrooms or kitchens, and scenarios where your need for portable audio is 'small' size. It does get loud, but not in a particularly pleasant way.

Design and Portability: Credit where its due, the speaker is compact and easy to carry around, has thoughtfully put non-slip rubber feet, can stand on its side, has four holes punched in the body to put a lanyard through and hook it on a bag or carry in hand - very nice! All answers are right answers with that many options.

Sound Quality: The bass is decent for a speaker this size. There’s (supposedly) a dedicated driver for the lows located opposite the control buttons, pushing out air that you can feel through the side vents. However, it lacks the depth and impact I expected. You'll hear a clear beat, but you won't feel the thump. The sound is good for what it is—a small, budget-friendly speaker—but don’t expect booming bass, that's just not what is possible at this size. Of course there are bigger, similarly priced speakers that have much worse bass than this, so kudos to the makers for being able to take out the most out of this size.

Also, it says "dual speaker" at the bottom, but I could see only one behind the mesh - check in the pictures. The "dual speaker" is perhaps to acknowledge that you can pair two of these speaker together for a true stereo sound. Seems like a sus move. So, the 'Solo' speaker is a mono unit after all.

Connectivity: Charging via micro-USB is a bit outdated, and one of the reasons I'll be returning this, but it gets the job done. Appreciated is the inclusion of a 3.5mm port, which adds versatility by allowing for wired connections. It’s a simple but effective feature if you want to chain multiple speakers or connect to an audio source directly.

Cons: The biggest drawback—it can get a bit harsh and 'tear' at high volumes. It’s a compact speaker, and while seems to have a dedicated bass driver, the experience is more like a reading the menu, than tasting the steamy dumpling - I know it's there, but why am I getting none of it. Also, the reliance on micro-USB in 2024 feels like a dated choice. USB-C, please.

Conclusion: It is a rugged portable speaker for casual use, but its sound limitations mean it’s not for me personally. It’s a solid choice if you’re after a small, dependable speaker, but if you are looking for deeper bass and more than a personal audio solution, you might want to explore other options.

Sturdy and sounds good.

This speaker sounds good for such a little thing. I noticed right away that it was a good weight and seemed well built. The bummer was getting the dumb sticker off. Come on! Also, it charges via mini USB cable, (included). I wish it was USB C so I didn't have to have a separate cable for this device. My bad for not catching this before I bought it. Overall I am pretty happy with the purchase.

I’d just like to say I am a HONEST reviewer and only review based off of my experience with products and services. And let me tell you guy’s something!!!!!! Its little speaker packs a bunch and a kick all in one little small form. I mean I was absolutely SHOCKED at the great amazing sound that came from this speaker for its size. I have been a fan of Cambridge audio for a while now, and have gifted some of their products on the but pricier side as gifts. But this speaker for the price, is AMAZING AND PHENOMENAL!!! I love it, and can definitely say I found a new Cambridge speaker to buy as gifts and to my coworkers and car guy’s. Me and some buddies of mine used this little speaker to bump and have a good time in our car garage working on our rides and talking the talk. 10/10 Cambridge has done it again with Quality, Affordability, Delivery, Sound, Production, and even the Packaging is mint and amazing. I’m a dude reviewing by the way, this is a shared family account lol. So just putting that out there.

Great Sound

I'm accidentally listening to big bass music and it sounds great. I think I stumbled into a great buy. The sound is better than anticipated. Directions are easy to follow. I had to go into settings, then Bluetooth to find the Oontz pairing. Then magic! Music! I'm still marveling at the sound quality, for cost. The pairing is automatic now, so it stays easy to use. This is the first Bluetooth device I've conquered (yeah, I know), so I'm proud and pleased.

Best dual speaker with stereo sound and decent bass response for the money. Extremely compact, could almost fit in a large coat pocket. I like that it’s angled up and towards a listeners ears. It is a design that actually makes sense. There’s a lot of small BT speakers on the market but Cambridge got it right with the Angle series. I especially appreciate that the passive radiator is protected. I have another small speaker that is similar but has an exposed radiator, which could easily be poked or broken. Connectivity is quick and easy with my phone. Super lightweight, water resistant, loud for the size, battery has provided solid long term use, lasting for me a full work day at half volume just to give you an idea. I work in an auto shop and it gets dusty and dirty. This speaker has held up great. Now taking it on vacation overseas next week and am looking forward to having my OONTZ along as companion. Love my Oontz

I love music and I have portable Bluetooth speakers ranging from $20 to $500. From my Oontz Angle 3 set to my Boss and Milwaukee pack out speakers. I have speakers for every occasion in all sorts of sizes. I bought this lil guy for watching movies on my phone either at work on breaks to adding background music in the back yard. The size is perfect for fitting in my hoodie pouch or coat pocket. Oontz and Cambridge Soundworks figured out how to get big clear sound out of small speakers there are highs mids and even bass without distortion. Their larger speakers are even better with even bigger sound. The great thing is you can listen to 1 or pair 2 for even more stereo surround sound. I love the fact I can have it paired to my phone go out of range and as soon as I get back into range it automatically pairs and starts to play where it stopped. Highly recommend get 1 love it then get the other 1 and have a set. My next purchase will be a pair of their high end speakers for the RV.

This little speaker delivers clean crisp sounds with the perfect amount of bass! The maximum volume is loud too! Very nice quality.

Update: Got two years of use out of this speaker. For anyone curious, it runs on an 1800mAh rechargeable 18650 battery inside. Decent lifespan but the battery capacity is on the smaller side, so I ended up upgrading to a speaker with better battery life and overall longevity. Not a bad speaker for the price, just has its limits.

Compact size, Huge sound!!

I have owned this brand for years and they keep getting better!! Battery life is amazing, lasts for what seems like forever, at least 2-3 days of 7+ hours of non stop use, on a single charge, it really thumps the bass and can be loud without any distortion! Small enough to fit in my purse when I’m on the go, and it came with a 2 year warranty, which is unheard of at this price point!! If you love music, then you will love this speaker!! I can connect to either android or iPhone with no issues and if I leave the room with my phone, it will still be playing music in my 2300sqft house! Definitely worth the price!! I highly recommend this brand of Bluetooth speaker!!!

Great Little Speakers

First, the company. Easy to deal with. Really nice people. You have the option to register you speaker for a 2 year warranty and the people are.really nice and cordial.

Now, the speaker. I have two of them and they are great. Alone, one speaker is good nice sound and good range. Approximately 50 ft with several thick walls between it and the connected device and no problems. not sure how good the range is out in the open (I use it in house). With two speakers, you can use them as dual left and right or both playing the same for different parts of the home. A nice little option. The battery has a long life. I use them a few hours per week and only had to charge them once in three months usage. And they will power themselves off after some time with no sound played. (I really like this since I use them for white noise at night)

I highly recommend these speakers. They work great, are easy to use and good battery life.

OontZ Angle Solo ❤️ it

This is one of the best speakers I have purchased and it's super loud just right for my small kitchen while I'm making breakfast I'm jamming to my favorite tunes. It's very compact and it can tag along where ever you go. I love it and I know you will too🥰

I was honestly taken aback at how surprisingly loud this little speaker can be. I used to have a JBL GO and it didn’t have the sound this one has.

While the bass is incomparable to a bigger more expensive speaker, the OontZ Angle Solo holds its own with its awesome battery life and provides a decent boom. I love its attractive design, simple controls, and practical feel.

This speaker also comes with a warranty in the box. And, the customer support is great; very nice, sincere, and attentive. Shoutout to Shir btw.

I’m really happy I spent the money I did on this one than on something else.

Value for Price Exceptional

Pairs quickly. Range distance from source is exceptional I can move it to all 3 levels of my home away from the source & it functions well. Battery life has been amazaing I got 16hrs of play time on a full charge when not using at full volume // volume level exceptional. Could use some bass or "depth" but value for price is outstanding. The fact you can connect & play 2 of them simulataneously is wonderful. This will do great at the beach or park. Threw it in my backpack to listen while bike riding.

A good Bluetooth speaker for the money.

This review is for "Cambridge Soundworks OontZ Angle Solo Bluetooth Portable Speaker." I purchased this unit because I needed something to monitor audio from my phone while outside. I'm very impressed with the speaker. It is well built and the sound is quite good considering its small size. It can fit in your pocket with no problem. Battery life is good. Bluetooth connectivity is good. Although I haven't tested for extended distance, it certainly works well in every room of my small house. I got the blue colored model because it's easier to see outdoors than black. The price was quite reasonable, especially in light of the good quality. I think I may give them as gifts to my tech friends. Everybody could use a nice, small speaker like this.

Blown away at the sound for such a small affordable speaker. So I originally bought one for my mom & dad for Christmas, I noticed my mom using her phone in the kitchen for music/news while cooking. I knew right away I wanted to buy her a small BT speaker to improve quality and volume of music. Well when it arrived and I set it I was pretty surprised and amazed at the volume and clear audio the OontZ Angle Solo unleashed. I quickly ordered myself one as well (during Christmas there was a coupon for 20% off so I bought them up for $16 each) & I have been putting it through it's paces for a few weeks and I'm very happy with it. It's small foot print is perfect for small apartment and it's pretty loud without disturbing my neighbors. It's very easy to move it around my apartment and find a small space to put it and listen to music/movie from my tablet while I do chores or cook. The Oontz solo has replaced my jbl charge 3 for indoor use due to size and being plenty loud for indoor use. I have not used it (Solo) outdoors to see how good or bad it might be, that's what my jbl charge 3's I have are for (camp site sounds) & jbl clip 4 for bank fishing.

Compact Yet Bassy

Well, my little guy kicked the bucket after years of abuse so I thought I'd write a review of the time I had with him. He died charging while plugged into my computer, so I know it wasn't a surge that killed him since many things were plugged in and nothing else died. A disturbingly loud high-pitched scream followed by a crackle and a pop were his last words to me, or perhaps he was already gone from the moment the charger hit him and this was simply a death rattle. I can't say.

Those who remember him, recall such joys from his life with us:

• He was loud and had a bassy voice.

• He held a long charge for his whole life. Maybe wanting to hold a charge so desperately was what did him off in the end.

• He was able to sustain some real abuse without a complaint. I dropped him on concrete while running up to a friend's house, watched cats knock him off tables, took him in the shower, and his little red light came on after each click of the power button. That isn't dirt you see on his corpse, it's rusted scars from the many injuries he sustained over his lifetime.

• He was a frugal soul, never requiring much money.

But no great man is without his faults:

• He made a high-pitched whine when charging. This whine gets louder when fully charged. His brother, who is also of the Oontz family, did the same before he went to live with my father.

• Some jealous rivals have called his voice too bassy to the point that he was mumbly and speech could be hard to understand in louder environments or when he spoke quietly. I think this is harsh, but fair.

• Finally, he could not outlive me, his adopted parent. A real shame.

Rest well, gentle soul, you will not be forgotten!

Super easy to connect the Bluetooth, great sound quality, and super small!

I love this, and bought one for a lot of my friends as a present because it is so great. Here are the...

PROS: super small. I added a picture with my coffee mug so you'd have a scale. It's a little over palm-sized. The sound quality is just as good as my bigger, and much more expensive, speakers. It's easy to charge with the cord that's included, and charges quickly. I use it all day for a full work day and it lasts about 2-3 days on a single charge AND it can play while it charges which is a huge plus. It's very easy to pair with your phone. It's also water resistant and has a rubber cover over the charging port to protect it. In addition to Bluetooth, you can connect it via an audio/headphone jack.

Cons: none! Really, this little thing rocks.

I got this for the beach and this is very great for the price and loud I use it for when I’m cooking or bathing definitely buy it and the battery life is great

Surprisingly Loud Volume

So as you can see from my photo its small. I have a Bose soeaker and another bluetooth speaker thats supposed to be portable but really they arent fit to take when traveling kinda light. So i bought the Oontz 3 for around $25 to take camping well it blew everything out at the camp ground. The sound was so amazing the minute i was back my 16 year old took it to her room and i havent seen it since.

So i needed something small to pack in my carryon for a trip to New Orleans. Didnt want to spend alot, got so many spakers already. Since i love my Oontz 3 I bought this Oontz solo. OMG. SO LOUD. Family was complaining. Thought i had on the Bose or the other speaker. Kid u not. I love my music and would not B.S. anyone when it comes to great sound. Cannot loose with this brand. This one is seriously palm sized but sound surpases all expectations.

Took a beating and still played music

I don't give 5 stars to just any product because there's usually room for improvement. I tell you what, I am totally impressed with this little speaker. My dad is just as impressed and threatening to pack it in his suitcase when he leaves for home. Anyway, this thing has been out through the ringer. My dad has been using it since his visit. The casing melted some by accidentally being placed on a hot zero turn engine, at some point fell in the yard somewhere and was lost for nearly 2 weeks (I have 2 acres) completely with 3 straight days of rain plus thunder and lightening. I wasn't stressed about it because it wasn't take expensive. Dad found it today, connected to it, and played music all day while out building the shed. So yeah, I highly recommend this little speaker.

Worth buying a second time, strong sound, portable, good value, decent battery life.

This pumps out pretty decent sound for its small size. It’s good enough for the price that when I misplace my first one, I went ahead and bought second one. The battery life seems quite decent, while I haven’t timed it out, it seems to last for many uses, even for several hours. The cord it comes with is not incredibly long but it’s not too short either. It comes with an option loop you can attach to it that will fit around your wrist. The bottom has 4 small rubber “legs” that keep it in place even when the bass is thumping. Both my thirty-something adult self and the teenager enjoy using it. It’s so portable that it could be easy to misplace if you’re a messy person! All in all, I have nothing negative to say about it whatsoever.

I bought the smallest one out of the three and let me tell you this thing is small, but its LOUD. I jumped when i first paired it because i wasnt expecting it to be as loud as it was on half volume. Its easy to learn how to use and i bring it to work with me, i can easily hear it when im in the front of the store and its in the back on half volume. It came with a mostly charged batter. EDIT: its been about three months since i got it and i use it just about every day. I bought it to go ATV'ing, with all the dust and water, being stuck in a side bag for four days it works perfect during and after the trip. I even pair it to my laptop. I love this little thing, if i ever have a need for it ill be getting the biggest one they offer

Excellent for the size!

UPDATE: it seemed not to run as long so i decided to test the battery capacity with a usb tester. The light became solid indicating full charge at 800mah but it was still drawing power. Sure enough it continued charging for over an hour after indicating it was charged, reaching over 1700 mah. If your battery life sucks, let it charge for at least an hour or more after it tells you its done!

This is an ultra compact Bluetooth speaker with a single small driver. It works great at low to moserate volume levels and lives its life on my desk at work, where I use it to play background music. I would pick one of the larger models if you have to deal with any background noise or want bass - this one is particularly lacking which is NOT a surprise at this size. Nothing this small can reproduce good low frequencies. I’m going to pickup one of the larger models to replace me old UE Boombox when it craps out, this small one has made me a believer in Oontz!
