No regrets. Takes a bit to set up. Does pair with my Samsung Ultra under 30 seconds. I have to share my phones Hotspot every time I get in the vehicle if I want internet connection for Prime, Netflix, You Tube etc. Bluetooth connects automatically. I do not recommend watching videos while driving, but it does function while vehicle is in motion. Great for road trips. I can make calls with my phone while apps are playing on the screen so no interruption. Pretty dang awesome. I just leave it plugged in inside my center console and forget about it.

We take a ton of car trips and usually one kid is buried in a tablet while the other is wheedling for a phone. We invested in this in-car streaming device to try to allow us to watch a movie together in the car, old-school style. It works, mostly. As one other reviewer pointed out, you need a hotspot for this to work properly, and that hotspot can't be the device that is trying to do the streaming. Usually you've got multiple devices in your vehicle so this won't be a problem but it's something to keep in mind. The connectivity is relatively straightforward and we haven't had a hard time with setup. There is a bit of lag but that's to be expected given the way the device is working. If you do a lot of traveling by car, this device is definitely worth the money.

Does not work with my 2020 Chevy. Support emailed but all avenues failed. Still waiting on a response to return.

This is actually my second OTTOCAST device (just a different model), and I’ve been really happy with both of them so far. Installation on this one was very simple and straightforward. I just plugged it into my truck, followed the setup prompts, and it was up and running pretty quickly. I did have just a little trouble getting it connected to my phone’s hotspot at first, but after a few minutes of troubleshooting I got everything working fine and haven’t had any issues since.
I really like having access to apps like YouTube and Netflix when parked or waiting around. The device itself feels well made and responsive, and the interface is easy to navigate. OTTOCAST seems to make solid products from my experience so far. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your vehicle’s infotainment setup without replacing the factory screen, this is definitely worth looking into! For just under $90, I find this device to be a great value and worth the money if you want something better for your vehicle.

I currently have a working Android Auto wireless transmitter, but sometimes it gets flaky and requires me to restart my car a few times, so when I saw this, I figured maybe this would be a good sideways-grade.
I could not for the life of me get this to work. It *might* work with Apple CarPlay or whatever Apple calls it, but I am android. The car did say it saw the Apple CarPlay and asked me if I wanted to join, which I said "once" just in case. But since my phone won't connect to Apple CarPlay, that wasn't going to be the way to go. I was never able to get this recognized by my car any other way.
The phone DID find it, and DID enable itself with Android Auto. The Android Auto logo did show up on the phone. But there was no car connectivity to match it.
The instructions are really vague on a whole lot of points. At various times it references a "Multiplay App" and other times an "AppHub". The Apphub might be the car's touch screen. Regardless, these are not apps that I seemed to be able to download to help connect. Also, the manuals example focused only on the iPhone.
So I'm giving up. I'll give this to someone who has Apple because maybe they will have luck.

I have tried several similar products before, and they all had the same frustrating problem. I use iPhone CarPlay, and with most of these devices, once CarPlay connects, the hotspot needed for multimedia gets disconnected automatically. Then if I reconnect the hotspot for streaming or other media functions, the Bluetooth connection to the iPhone gets interrupted. Because of that, seamless switching between the two was basically impossible.
This one finally solved that problem for me. It keeps both Bluetooth and hotspot connected at the same time, and the transition between CarPlay and multimedia functions feels smooth and seamless. That alone makes it stand out from the other options I have tried.
For me, this is the product I had been looking for. If you have been frustrated by the same connection issue on similar devices, this one was a very satisfying solution.
