Great book, worst packaging, ungiftable now

Love this book, was going to be a gift at a baby shower but it arrived with this weird sticky thing stuck to the front cover. I think it was meant to keep the box in the proper shape like one of those tripods in a pizza box but instead of the sticky tape going on the box and the cardboard on the book, they did it backwards. I was sooooooo careful trying to get it off but it still tore the cover. I can’t give someone a ripped book. A great book with really terrible shipping/packaging.

Torn and old looking

Was to be a gift. Torn up cover on the back and wrinkled . It looks like a used book. I can’t take this as a gift.
