Doesn't work properly with Chevy Volt
That's VOLT with a V, not the Chevy Bolt. Mine is a 2012 and charges perfectly on the original 110V charger that came with the car, as well as at every single public 220V charging station I've used.
I had a Journeyman electrician run a brand new 60 AMP circuit to my garage while the basement was being finished, and then hook up this Legrand (Pass & Seymour) charger. Plugged it in and seemed to be charging fine. The problem is at the END of the charging cycle. Volt starts blinking green to indicate the charge is complete, the Legrand charger goes solid green, and then clicks to shut off. For some reason the Volt gets the signal that I've just inserted the charging plug again, honks and then restarts the charging cycle. It will continue to do this until I unplug the Legrand from my Volt.
I've provided details and even a video of this issue to an initially very responsive Legrand support. I took the car to the Chevy dealer to check out the charging system (no issues found) and paid almost $300 to upgrade the firmware and maps. Same charging issue when I got home.
I really like this charger otherwise. No frills. Great reviews. Small. Easy to install. Fast charging. Sure wish it would work properly with my 2012 Volt. It only has 77,000 miles on it, so I'll be keeping it around for a while!
