Do not buy this snare. I received two of them (original and replacement) and they both have significant ridges on the snare side rim, which will ultimately cause the head to tear. PDP is obviously having a manufacturing issue; whoever is contracted to make these is not performing proper QA.

At first I really liked this drum until I went to change the heads from factory to my preferred aftermarket brand. This is when I noticed a huge issue: the snare beds are crooked! They didn't drill the holes for the lugs and strainer/butt plate in the correct position so the middle of the snare bed is actually in between the strainer/butt plate and the nearest lugs. I have attached pictures. This prevents proper seating of the snare wires and proper tuning of the resonant head. Considering this is a cheap mass produced overseas drum it's very possible that most of these are the same.

1/5 just because Straight out of the box, this is what I got, I’ll bend it back just cause I don’t want to deal with everything that has to do with the return process and all that mess, I was excited and this kinda ruined the unboxing emotion.
