Pelican Vault V525 Rolling Hard Case

Excelente protección para equipos audiovisuales a un gran precio

Compré este estuche Pelican Vault V525 en 2025 y lo he utilizado durante aproximadamente 1 año y medio para transportar y proteger accesorios de cámara durante rodajes de cine y producciones audiovisuales.

Lo he llevado a locaciones exigentes, incluyendo la selva amazónica y el desierto, y en todo momento ha protegido muy bien el equipo. Lo utilizo para guardar diferentes complementos de cámara y durante este tiempo ha demostrado ser resistente, confiable y adecuado para el trabajo en campo.

Si bien los acabados y algunos detalles de construcción no son exactamente los mismos que los de la línea Pelican tradicional, como la 1510, considero que eso es completamente comprensible por la diferencia de precio. En cuanto a protección, robustez y funcionalidad, cumple perfectamente con lo que promete.

Por la relación calidad-precio, me parece una compra excelente. Si buscas un estuche resistente para proteger equipo fotográfico o audiovisual sin pagar el precio de la gama premium de Pelican, esta línea Vault es una opción que recomendaría sin dudarlo.

Outstanding protection at an unbeatable value — My new go-to rolling case!

I bought the Pelican Vault V525 Rolling Hard Case with padded dividers for my camera gear, lenses, drone, and accessories, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. This thing is built like a tank — super rugged high-impact polymer construction that feels crushproof and rock-solid. I've used it as a literal seat during long shoots and it didn't even flex.

It rolls smoothly thanks to the quiet stainless-steel ball-bearing wheels and the retractable trolley handle, making airport navigation or hauling gear across rough terrain effortless. The size is perfect for maximum carry-on compliance (fits most airline limits without issues), yet it's spacious enough inside for all my expensive equipment with room to spare.

The two push-button latches are secure and easy to open, the heavy-duty ergonomic handles are comfortable even when fully loaded, and the weather-resistant seal kept everything bone-dry during a rainy trip to Iceland where baggage handlers weren't exactly gentle. My gear arrived in perfect condition every time — no scratches, no dust, no worries.

Mejor que un Trumpet Case

Llevo 3 meses con ella y 6 vuelos con ella, La mejor compra que pude hacer para transportar mi trompeta, incluso dos de esos vuelos fueron internacionales desde colombia hasta Kansas City con dos escalas osea que en realidad fueron 4 tramos de vuelos por bodega y ha llegado intacta a USA y regresó a Colombia igual por bodega. Para trompetistas y gente que ande con equips delicados es una gran compra. Solo le pondría unas llantas mas altas como la pelican air, pero supongo que por eso esa referencia es mas cara…..Aparte estaba con descuento, con envio gratis a Colombia y sin impuestos.

Vale mas de 150usd que una protec case para trompeta que si bien es bonita no protege tanto y hay que tratarla con delicadeza.

Mostly nice, but...

I have to say the inside of this case is really nice. You can adjust the dividers pretty much however you want with enough room for seven small and medium sized pistols with comps and red/green dots attached. My setup holds 38 loaded mags holding a total of 564 rounds which makes the case very heavy. Also it has room for ear and eye protection along with some mag loaders, range tools and paper targets. The case is still very sturdy.

With that being said, there are some issues with the case. The pull out handle is very hard to pullout or push back down. The handle release is hard to use when trying to pull it out or pushing it back in. I also find the wheels are too small to be able to back the case down or pull the case up a flight of stairs. There are these nubs on the back of the case that stick out and catch the edges of the stairs and prevent the case from moving up or down. See the photos.

All and all, even with these problems the case is still worth owning IMO, which is why it got just 4 stars.

Good for the Price. Protect Your Gear!

Great case for the price, and will protect your gear much better than a backpack. The padding inside works well though a little cheap. The first case I received looked as if it was open already and the interior padding was a mess (pic 1). The replacement, second case is how it should look new. (pic 2). The interior padding is sealed in plastic and intact.

Dirty & used

I received what appeared to have been a USED case. The padding looked new but the case looked like it had dirty, dusty animal or human prints all over.

no screw posts for lid organizer, metal locking holes

great case but 2 things to note. cases are not getting the stainless lock holes/hasps anymore and the lid does not have the mounting points for the lid organizer, something not well advertised.

sturdy and easily customizable case for gear

I purchased this case to hold my AV equipment and I am very happy with it. It holds my camera and lenses and accessories nice and snug and I love how customizable it is. No cutting foam so If you change your gear set up you just reconfigure the inside. Its a very sturdy case, I dont worry about my expensive equipment in this

Best bang for money

Using it for pistol box. Stores upto 4 guns & more. Organizing pouch buy seperate but perfect fit on inside of lid. It’s not as thick as Pelican but rugged for travel. Fact it has wheels makes big difference when u got 4 guns, ammo, & misc items.

Real deal case here, folks! Glad I went the extra bucks for this rather than the Harbor Freight version. No comparison at all, not even in the same league. Carries all my Insta360 cameras and audio. Best quality as you can get. Top of the line.

Very Impressed

Honestly I didn’t know what to expect when I bought this because it’s my first time investing in a case for my gear. I’ll keep it short, this case is the perfect size to store all my gear, the quality of this build makes me feel beyond assured that my gear is safe & it’s really not that heavy even when it’s full of gear but that’s why you have a handle that can be utilized along with wheels to just wheel it along. I’m happy with my purchase and would buy this again.

Best travel friendly case you’ll ever need!

We all know Pelican cases are historically high in quality and reliable but here’s a couple features I personally enjoy. It’s not just carry on size but also has a pressure release valve for high altitudes (flying). Having wheels and a retractable handle make being on the go a whole lot simpler. I’m always on the run and being able to open the case in a snap is crucial which is why I love the wide and thumb friendly latches. I can open the case super fast while giving directions on set. Lastly, everything I store inside use to go into 2 backpacks. Now, I have instant visibility which saves me time because I’m no longer need to sift through bags to find what I need.

Great Case

This is a great case. It held almost all of my camera gear for this camera. Holds 3 lenses, camera with a lens on, battery packs and charger, Some of my ND filters etc. I could have gone just a little bigger, but then would be heavier. I really like the latching system. Easy for these old fingers to unlatch. I have other pelican cases and they are much harder to unlatch. The button in the middle of these latches makes it easier to unlatch. I have not taken this out in the field yet, so will see how I like in a year or so.

Muy buena maleta, ha protedigo mis equipos después de un par de años de haberla comprado. Aún sigue funcionando perfectamente. Sin embargo, lo único que no me gusta son sus llantas, no son de goma por lo que cuando la llevas por caminos poco llanos, suena mucho y no es tan cómoda para llevar. De resto 10 de 10

Very nice, but surprised how flexible top/lid is, still happy though

It has two holes for padlocks for locking the lid, which I guess is to be expected since it IS made of plastic. Otherwise, very good quality. I drilled a couple of holes in the back and used rigged up a way to bolt it to my Rad Wagon with a couple of large thumb nuts inside. Makes a very nice trunk for my bike, plus I can remove it with the thumb nuts and wheel it around when I need to.

Great case!! but product was not as advertised

Honestly this case is bullet proof....almost.. I was able to put two cameras with mounted lenses, four additional lenses, a full flash (you can see the diffuser), chargers, batteries, etc.... really very roomy. The removable particians can be put in all sorts of positions for your equipment. So why the 2 star rating??? Pelican makes it a point to brag about their "stainless steel hasps" you can put locks through...only, there weren't any. This is actually a big deal to NOT have an important part of the case installed. I've seen others complain about this and they either need to rewrite the description, or send the hasps out with easy to follow installation instructions. This is a big epic fail Pelican!

Fits as a carry-on on airplanes

I love this for my camera equipment. It does fit as a carry-on on airplanes. I might upgrade to a bigger version and one that has pockets already in the container. I did have to buy separate pockets to put in for my small camera equipment.
