Love this item. Absolutely worth it and will recommend it. I love how the camera turns, great clear display, speaker if needed and music, monitor rechargeable and wireless (although I hope the battery would last a little longer on monitor but it’s working pretty long anyways). The sound quality is great too. The best part is that it can be also without wifi which I was really looking forward to have one without it.

This is a great quality baby monitor. You can tell it is at a different level than most monitors that are <$150.
Packaging is very good. I love that it includes wire managers/baby proofing options - this is certainly not a critical component but something that you end up having to deal with when using any monitor in a nursery. So, it is a nice perk to have good quality options included.
The box includes a wall mount option, or you can stand the camera independently. Pay attention to the instructions on the angle and coverage you should try to get of the crib if you want to use the AI features like sleep/breathing monitoring.
Set up is very straight forward. Plug in camera, plug in monitor, turn on and voila! Connectivity is easy and so far I have not had issues with it dropping (make sure to raise monitor antenna if you are moving far away from the camera). You can also download the app, which requires pairing with the camera. It is nice to have both options for checking on and controlling the monitor.
The image video quality is very high, definitely noticeably better than other monitors I have used. Battery life appears reasonable, although likely you would not want it unplugged overnight. It works fine for naps.
The menu and controls are also a lot more seamless and easy to navigate than other monitors.
The only negative I could find, which is not insignificant, is that you can't actually control/move the camera through the app or monitor. Almost every other camera I have tried has movement adjustments so you can pan around the room/crib. As far as I can tell, this camera does not which is surprising. I believe it may be because you are supposed to mount the camera with a specific view of the crib in order for the AI features to work best, and therefore you don't want it moving around apart from that.
Regardless, excellent monitor. The AI features seem extremely neat and I am looking forward to testing them when baby#2 arrives soon and reporting back.

We have been using the Philips Avent Baby Monitor for a few weeks now as a replacement for our old monitor, which stopped working after the battery failed. So far, we have been very happy with its performance and features.
The package includes everything you need to get started: the camera, wall adapter, and dedicated monitor. Setup is very simple. You just connect the camera to power, turn on the monitor, and follow the pairing process. It only takes a few minutes to have everything working.
One feature we really like, although we have not needed to use it much yet, is the WiFi connectivity. It allows you to access the camera remotely through your phone, which is very convenient if you are away from home or want to use your phone as an additional monitor.
The video quality is excellent. During the day, the image is clear with bright and accurate colors, and the night vision works really well even in very low light conditions. It provides a clear view of your baby without needing extra lighting.
Overall, this is a great baby monitor option for parents who want the convenience of remote viewing through their phone while still having a dedicated physical monitor. Having both options available is something many other baby monitors do not offer.

I absolutely love the features on this audio and video monitor, especially how it tracks whether my baby boy is in deep sleep, light sleep, or awake. The app is fantastic and provides great insights into his sleep cycles and how much total rest he gets in a day. I also love that you can manually input sleep, which is super helpful for keeping his schedule updated on days he is at daycare. Having the dedicated parent monitor unit is so convenient while doing chores around the house because we can always just take a quick look to check on him. This pack includes a wall-mount, but since our baby boy is still sleeping in his crib in our bedroom, I bought a clamp mount which works well for now. It gets the job done for our current setup, and I just can't wait to use the wall-mount once he moves to his own room!

I’ve been using the Philips Avent Premium Monitor for a couple a weeks now and I have to say it’s a major upgrade from my other monitors. I have two children, one is four and the other is 20 months and he is a handful to say the least. He’s been walking since 7.5 months and at 16 months we had to transition him into his big boy bed because of him WWE flipping out of his crib. We had another monitor that we bought when we had him that works okay, but nothing like this. We positioned it so we can see basically his whole room, we do have an actual camera in there but when we look at it the click it makes freaks him out, this does not make a noise when I watch from my phone. Even though he’s a “big boy” I’m still a paranoid momma that needs to verify he’s breathing right before I fall asleep and in the middle of the night and this monitor makes it very easy to do so. I like that it tells me if there’s movement, how long he’s been in bed for, and his breaths per minute. If you enable notifications on your phone you can be alerted if there’s movement, cries, etc. but I had to turn it off, he moves too much. I do like that I can put background listening on as well so I can use my phone and still hear him! Last night for the first time in months my husband and I had a date and my mother in law came over while they were sleeping to watch them and she was impressed with the monitor, I could also check in through my phone to watch him and when we got home I had the background noise going on my phone and he had coughed and she was amazed it came through my phone with the screen off. I do also want to mention my husband is in IT and I had tested another monitor with an app and he freaked out about where the camera traffic was going since it was being routed to another country. He tested the traffic on this monitor and gave it his sign of approval and we both have the app installed knowing it’s safely locally routed. The only complaint I have would be that it does not display the time nor the active battery level. I don’t have a clock on my side of the bed and though it warns you when the battery is getting low I still miss these features, at the end of the day though I’m willing to sacrifice those for an amazing monitor

This is definitely a premium baby monitor, but after using it I can see where the extra features come into play. The video quality is excellent, especially on the larger parent screen, and being able to check in through the app is really convenient. This is more expensive than basic baby monitors, but for parents who want detailed monitoring, reliable video, and extra sleep-related features, it feels like a worthwhile investment. It also looks stunning, very premium look and feel.

I have had several baby monitors and this one by Philips is the best by far. It is super easy to set up and connect. It is intuitive and you really do not even need the directions, but they are there and are easy to follow. My phone does not do the images justice. The images are sharp and clear even when zooming in or out, and the colors are true to life. The night vision is also very sharp and clear, just in black and white. I love the ability to turn on a small night light, play and change lullabies , and adjust volume all from the monitor. What I really love is the lullabies are clear and do not sound tinny like many monitors. The ability to see temperature in the room and evaluate baby cries are just added bonuses to the monitoring feature. I originally got this to potentially give as a present, but I am afraid I am going to keep this myself! It is so much better than ones I have gotten before. It is a quality product and is definitely worth its value.

The Philips Avent Premium Connected Baby Monitor really does feel like a “maxed‑out” baby monitor rather than just a camera on a wall. The main details are excellent: the 1080p feed is clear, the night vision is reliably sharp, and the dedicated parent unit gives me a stable connection all over the house and out into the yard without needing Wi‑Fi on all the time. Battery life on the handheld screen has been impressive too; in eco mode I can get close to an evening’s worth of monitoring without a charger.
What makes it feel “premium” in actual use are the extras that are genuinely helpful: built‑in temperature monitoring, a night light on the camera, lullabies/white noise, and solid two‑way talk back. SenseIQ sleep and breathing tracking is a nice bonus. Being able to glance at breathing and sleep movement data without a wearable is nice, and the app’s sleep logs and insights give me a clearer picture of patterns over time. Cry detection and “translation” are interesting (though not sure how accurate/trustworthy they are.)
This is an expensive monitor and some of the more advanced AI features move to a subscription model after the initial trial, which adds ongoing cost. Like any smart monitor, the app and software updates are part of the equation. For my use, though: wanting strong monitoring, an offline parent unit, and useful data... it’s been worth it.
