What a GREAT BOOK! Large size for little people and so many animal noises! Artful, informative & fun!!

The colorful work of Eric Carle is delightful and the noises are loud enough to hear. The batteries are easy to change and inexpensive, but we haven't yet needed to, even after lots of play.

The pages are paper so it calls for care around babies who still tear them but there are lots of opportunities for this book to grow with your child- from exploring the buttons to learning to read along & find the matching ones on each page!

Lots of Sounds, But My Toddler Isn’t Interested Yet

Here Bear Roar is a fun book with a lot of animal sounds—30 in total! The buttons are easy to press, and the price is really reasonable considering how many sounds are included.

The book has many pages and decent quality, but I would be cautious with toddlers under two years old. The pages inside are thin, like paper, so little ones need to be gentle to avoid damage.

My 20-month-old daughter didn’t seem very interested in this one. It might be because it doesn’t have textures like some other noisy books, or maybe she’s just too young for it. I think she might enjoy it more as she gets older.

Overall, it’s a fun sound book with lots of variety, but younger toddlers might prefer interactive books with textures.

Wonderful!

This children’s sound book is absolutely wonderful. It’s large, bright, and very well made, with thick, glossy pages that hold up well to little hands. The animal sounds are clear and realistic, which makes the book especially engaging and educational. There are many different sounds, and the buttons are easy for toddlers to press on their own. It’s perfect for children around 1 year old and older, encouraging both learning and play. Excellent quality overall and a fantastic interactive book for young kids.

Deadly button battery

Has button battery which can be easily dislodged and will kill a child within 2 hours per the giant warning once you open the book. This book shouldn’t be for sale.

Don’t buy from seller

Do not buy from this seller. A page is ripped out the sound box is broken, and the sounds are defective, and the damage in general to the corners is worse than described.

Incorrect sounds for several animals...

So many animal sounds!

Our son loves sound books and these have so many animals sounds to play. I wish that it was a thicker book since he is easily able to rip the pages though.

Great Sounds & Illustrations not Board Book

In true Eric Carle form the illustrations are stunning and have beautiful colors. The only animal that looked a little off to me was the lion but all other animals were great.

The speaker has great sound quality you can hear it in my video. My 1 year old loves when I read it to her and press the buttons.

Only gripe is I thought this was a board book but only the cover and back of the book are sturdy. The pages can easily get creased

Really great book for kids

My 2 and 1/2-year-old just loves this book. It's got full color pages. Lots of sounds, tons of buttons, 30 different animals. It's a great value and it's a wonderful gift if you're thinking about giving it. My little boy loves the sounds and loves the animals. And it's just a really good book all around. It has a lot of different animals that are on land and in the air and in the water..

Fun and Educational, but Lacks Durability

It is a great educational tool that introduces kids to a variety of wild animals. The book is organized by habitats such as the forest, sky, ocean, and cave, which makes learning about these animals fun and engaging. The vivid colors and catchy drawings capture my child's attention, and the animal sounds add an interactive element that keeps them entertained.

However, the book's durability is a major issue. It started to fall apart after just a week of use, which was disappointing. Additionally, the buttons are a bit small and hard for tiny hands to press, which can be frustrating for young children.

Despite these drawbacks, the concept and design of the book are excellent. If the manufacturer improves its durability, it would be a fantastic addition to any child's library.

Realistic sounds! Engaging book

Maybe my baby's favorite book! She absolutely loves the dolphin sound. We go through all 30 sounds twice, back to front! It makes for great reading in the daytime because it has engaging sounds, we don't really read it at night before bed because of this. We love Eric Carle.

Great book!

My kids love this book and all of Eric Carole’s books! I highly recommend this book and like the fact that the animal buttons go in the same order as the book!

Buy this if your kid likes picture books!

My 2-yr old son is obsessed with animals. We have a few books with different animal illustrations. He will take my finger and make me say each animal’s name out loud. I was intrigued when I saw this book with many animal depictions and sounds. I could not have been happier with my purchase!

Pros: the volume is clear and words are pronounced. It states the animal’s name followed by a sound. Buttons are not hard to push. This has saved me so many hours of repeating animal names to my son. Now he can help himself in learning the names and sounds. I’ve seen him playing with this at least once a week since we’ve purchased it.

Cons: flipping the pages are a bit hard for my son. He used a bit too much force and ended up ripping one of the pages . Nothing tape won’t fix but I fear it will happen a few more times in its future. There are two bear sounds which I thought was strange. I wish they chose a different animal to feature.

Cute book

She loved it and plays with it and reads through. Those top three; grizzly bear, deer and fox don’t work, all the other animal buttons work. Still a cute book.

Book fell apart

I purchased this book as a gift for a 16 month old. The book was given on July 4th and last week the majority of the book fell apart from the binding. Since the 16 month old doesn't really read the book alone, it is disappointing that it is now in two pieces after 2 1/2 weeks. The book itself is wonderful and enjoyed, but it certainly didn't last.

Arrived ripped

This book was purchased as a gift and arrived ripped. The recipient said the packaging was fine so doesn't seem to be related to shipping. Very disappointing that there was no option to have a replacement sent--only option was to have the gift recipient have to take the time/ energy to send back which is not appropriate for a gift.

Arrived damaged so was no longer able to be gifted. But my own LO loved it too.

Great sounds and overall book.

Doesn’t hold up; always falls apart at binding

This is my daughter’s absolute favorite book. She loves the sounds and illustrations. We had an old copy from a thrift store and the pages were falling out. Well, within a month the exact same thing had happened. She’s gentle and respectful of books but It’s just the way the book is made that the glue and binding does not last. Now we have two copies that are falling apart.

NOT new.

I like the book itself but it is definitely not new. Be honest with your customers. Don’t say brand new condition when it’s obviously not.

Book lasted only two months

I was really excited about this book. We love Eric Carle books! My kids take great care of their books and we’ve never had one broken in six years. But this book only lasted two months and the spine has completely come undone.

CHEAPLY MADE, broke first time using it

Bought before Christmas for a Christmas present. On the first time reading it the inner pages fell out. Was too late to return, VERY unhappy. Must’ve been poorly made to fall out so easily now I’m stuck trying to fix it somehow! It’s not cheap and to have it break with the first use I’m so upset

NOT a board book???!!!???

This is NOT a board book for some unfathomable reason. I gave this to my 15-month old for Christmas and after only a few weeks of supervised use (him sitting on my lap while reading) the binding is coming apart. Very disappointing because my only other complaint with this item is a few animal/sound selections that I think could be improved on. The deer sound is disturbing...do deer really sound like that, poor things? The buttons work great and my LO loves pushing buttons! Sound quality is good. Would be buying the farm version of this item if it were a board book. Based on the timing of when my 4-year old was able to transition to paper from board books the content of this book is a total mis-match with the format...should be a board book.

Not worth it

Got this for my daughter for Christmas and the binding is already detached. It’s cheap and honestly a lame book. The sounds aren’t even great and the book itself is like a word a page. Returning and getting something different.

4. Buttons quality is v good. My 2 year old has pressed the spider button numerous times and it still works fine.

5. Cell battery for the sounds already installed (1.5v x 3). Although we have used it for a good 1 month the clarity is v good.

6. As u can see from the pics that for some reason the stitching in book started to rip. It became severe with more usage.

7. I wish this message to reach the publication company - Phoenix international to read my review and other reviews who are also facing this problem.

8. All in all it’s a v good entertaining book for my 2 year old.

Worst book cor kids

This is not worth a dollar. I highly recommend not to buy this book. Not kid friendly, strange animals, no tear proof paper for 14$, really!!!

Pages care out

Love the book and sounds. Turned the pages couple times and pages just came apart. Didn’t do anything to make them come out either.
