It’s a great light. However it’s stopped being able to cycle through the full color spectrum. It’s unfortunate, I really liked it, and used to for all of my YouTube videos as a background wall light.

There is so much I can say about this product…
1. It is BRIGHT!!!! I work in complete darkness and use this as my main light source. For my close up subjects I only use it at 10% or lower intensity which leads into…
2. The battery life! The battery size is perfect. I’ve done multiple shoots with still 90% or more shown on the…
3. LCD screen! The LCD is bright and easy to read/understand in very dark environments. and the much like quality of the screen…
4. Every dial and button is extremely responsive. The dials are a hard (but not brittle) plastic that have adequate knurling for grip. (You could definitely be outside in the cold with gloves on and preform every function). And of course…
5. The entire build quality is a WORK OF ART! From the full aluminum body to the substantial plastic protecting the LEDs, this product is built and designed with real-world use in mind. Due to the aluminum alloy properties this light has zero “bend/flex” to it. (That is to say you cannot even come close to attempt to break this thing. I can easily see it surviving everything I’d use it for.)
6. Price. For what you’re getting I could see it costing double. You really get your money’s worth + more!! Wow!
7. USB-C!!! Super fast charging and high quality port.
8. The included ball head is the best quality I’ve ever seen at the scale of the item! I’ve bought quite a few stands/attachments/lights that come with a mini ball head and they are extremely weak, but not this one!
Buy it! You will NOT be disappointed!

I love this light. It has different settings to change the light color and dimmer. It’s brightness is great for content, specially at night. Only negative thing to say is the battery. It doesn’t last more than 150 minutes (2.5) hours turned on.

I'll try to be quick:
It is awesome.
Its base is nice, its color is nice, its power is really decent (maybe not that powerful in daylight, but it is in controlled scenarios).
Excellent for product photography and video.
The only problem is the lack of modifiers as diffusers and honeycombs to better control the lights, but you can still be kind of creative (pic #6 for reference).
My sugestion, for video and for photography, is to buy 2 of them and play with them putting them aside the subject or well to use one of them to paint a plain white wall.
For profesional video, it is not going to do miracles, but if you already have a powerful main light, these little lights will make the difference in any production you make.
I have them for more than a year and, though I know there are newer models, these ones still make me happy today.

I was super impressed by how small and compact these little guys were and how easy to use they are. Were just perfect for this shoot where I put them in the chandelier and gave me the light effect I was looking, couldn't ask for better from them!!!!

So far the Pixel G1s RGB Video light has been fantastic.
1. Simple to set up.
2. Simple to use.
3. Simple to store and go.
The Pixel G1 has provide great light lighting for my photography.. I added 1 quick photo of my DJI control hand holding the Pixel 1 using light purple at 18% brightness HSI H:294. S: 100.
The button are super easy to and adjust with the control Wheels. The LED display is simple and easy to use also.
The swing arm has been awesome also, this is a feature that I have not seen with anyone else, yeah it might shift the weight on the camera but you can fix that.
Colors I give it a 10!! From bright white to purple or red having full control and density is fantastic.
Battery life: I give it a 10 also, remember this device is not a flash light so there shouldn’t be a need to this to be at max brightness. So far I charged charged it once to 100% and I used it 8 times for about 1 hour in total and I’m still at 94% lol 😂.
Over all I am extremely happy, can’t wait to see what else I can do with it.

I do a lot of content creation, both for on-line and for real estate - I'm a broker. In addition, I do a lot of Zoom meetings. I got one of these lights because it could do both conference lighting - cool to warm - and RGB lighting. It was so useful, I bought a second one, so I could do key light/fill light work when doing video, as well as multiple color backgrounds, special effects, etc. I like the portability because I do a lot of location video. I now carry two of these and two small tripods. I also have a tripods at my office, so I can set up a full video shoot in a few minutes anywhere I want - a great help!
The other day, I realized a new use for it - desk lamp! I'm in a temporary office, and while it's nice, the lighting on my desk isn't the greatest. Normally I don't care - I do most of my work on-line, so light isn't critical. However, I do sometimes need to do things at my desk - small fixes, making notes, etc. I finally realized that I have a great desk light if I need it. I took a picture to show. I do have it plugged in to a charger, just so I don't have to charge it later. Between the color temperature and fine-control dimming, it's perfect. The picture included is with the light at 31% brighness. If I'm doing fine work, I just dial up the brightness, and it's great - shadows are soft, and light is even.
For videos, it also works great. The only problem was if I was heavily backlight - like near a window on a sunny day. But I don't want to carry larger panels to overcome that. I fixed it by using two of them - still portable - and with tripods I can get closer and dial the light down, so it doesn't look overwhelming or like a spotlight, but just good even light. They also have great longevity. I've used it for a couple of hours at 50% and there's still loads of battery left.
I haven't tried the cold shoe mount when I'm using my larger camera for video, but I know the light and spill - I think it should be more than adequate in that use.
So all in all, it covers a lot of ground: portable studio, on-camera lighting, fill and key lighting, overcoming backlighting, special effects and background coloring if I need it, and even a desk lamp.
So yeah, I'd highly recommend it. If you need to keep portable lighting that you can adapt to a lot of different situations, these are a great tool to literally have in your bag.

Arrived sooner that I expected. I’m hobby amateur photographer. Easy to use. Is the first picture that I took. Yeah, I like it. Brightness is has lots of adjustability. The just got it battery life, I give a 5stars now. I review later when I use it more.

For $69.99 this product is not bad,
But , for a product intended for video production, this is quite disappointing. The product worked fine when fixed on a tripod, and it’s really amazing, but when I attached it to the camera hot-shoe it showed a very annoying noise when I recorded the video. Called customer service and they sent me another product as a replacement, but I found out that the same issue exists. And it turned out that at a certain level of Hue and Saturation, the noise is pretty clear, and I attached a video that you can hear the noise well, but the noise can be avoided when values change. If you’re planning to use the light from a far a way position, it’s absolutely recommended. At least 1 m or 3 feet.
Other than that, a beautiful product, I wish it had a longer lasting battery.
Pros:
functions, colors, brightness, metal frame, adjustable to camera, monitor, easy to use, type-c charging cable, hot-shoe mounts.
Many functions that can be used for video production.
Cons:
High noise when attached to the camera.
Not bad battery life but could be longer.

I intend to buy a variable color LED lamp to make a youtube video. I was impressed by the workmanship of this lamp and satisfied with its color. In addition, it is very small and easy to carry, so it can come in handy when you go out to shoot.

This was a great product while it worked. Over the course of the one day during which I was able to use it, it provided me with all the functionality I was looking for. I wanted a simple way to throw some light onto a product for review photos.
The two features I need, and used most were
(1) the ability to adjust the brightness from 0 to 100 and
(2) the ability to adjust the color, especially the temperature of the white.
The following day I fired it up to take some quick photos, but I was no longer able to adjust brightness, or the color. I tried all button combinations etc, nada.
One day of use for any product is laughable. But this product will set you back about $89.99....unacceptable quality control and poorly made. Disappointing experience, such a let down. 2-stars.

Last year sometime a new small RGB panel light came on the market with that bottom arm attached to the base of the light. It is a very versatile light but it was priced just a bit too high for me. Pixel is well known for making good quality cheaper alternative lighting products so how does this one stack up?
Lets mention the PROs first:
- WIDE CCT color range from 2500k to 8500k
- 3200mAh battery providing about a 2 hour-ish run time at 100%
- VERY color accurate at 97CRI
- Low price considering it includes a light stand
- USB C charging (PLEASE manufacturers! stop making micro USB charging lights!!)
CONS:
- Middle of the road build quality
- RGB not RGBW (There are lights near this price point, without a light stand, that are actually RGBW)
- Very budget light stand with mostly plastic accessories
- Lacking coherent instructions
So in general this isn't a bad light considering the price tag. It's is nice that for under $90 you are getting the various accessories and the light stand. That being said all of those accessories and light stand are very budget plastic pieces of gear so don't expect those things to last very long.
The quality of the light itself is pretty good. It's a mostly metal build quality. The color accuracy is pretty high. It's fairly bright considering it's size at the 3200mAh is big enough to last you for a good shooting session. I do wish this would have been an RGBW light. There are others of similar size on the market that is RGBW for not much more cost. The additional brightness and color combinations you get with RGBW is just worth it for me.
The flip out arm on it is pretty useful. If you mounted this on the hot show of your camera it provides an additional cold shoe on the arm so you could add something like a small mic.
In the end of you are on a tight budget and you need some basic RGB lighting and need the mounting accessories that come with this package I think this is a good buy.

I’ve tried out a lot of different lights, including a larger Pixel light and a couple lights of similar size to this one with similar functionality. Overall, I’d say this is a very nice light. Once you get the hang of the controls, it’s easy to use and effective. It has a lot of color options, a wide color temperature range, and it's capable of being quite bright. It is a direct light, so it’s not the same as a softbox, though you could probably make it work for most applications depending on how you use it and what else you have available. It’s versatile and portable, so this is definitely the sort of light that would be great to have around. It also comes with a few extras that are handy, including a tripod and an arm that’s attached to the light to give a bit more maneuverability and to add extra attachment points for things like a camera or a mic or another light.
I used the red light from this to help work with cyanotype chemicals, which are activated by UV light. I sort of treated it like a dark room like you’d have for film developing. It worked out well for that, though I don’t know how sensitive those chemicals were, so a regular, dim light might have worked fine too.
I would say that the controls could be a little better and clearer, but they aren’t terrible, and they are functional.
The price is the biggest issue here. While it does come with a tripod, and it is a good light, You can get comparable lights for $60 or less, so this may not be the best value, especially if you don’t need the extras this comes with.

This is a nice light kit with a stand, a cell phone holder, and the Pixel G1s RGB light.
It's truly a great light and with great battery life.
So many great functions and the swing arm design allows you to be able to attach other devices such as the included cell phone holder with it.
The stand itself is more than sturdy enough to hold your G1S and your cell phone, a Gopro, 360 cam or any other small device.
The only thing I would love to see improvement in is the cell holder. This holder requires you to tighten the mount on the top rather than having spring tension as others do. This can be good as springs do wear out but also bad as you could possibly overtighten you and break it. The cell phone holder is strong enough to hold your phone but not as great quality as others I have used. I truly recommend the kit but just know that at some point the Cell holder may have to be replaced.
Great product Great price for all that it comes with. If you are just starting a Youtube channel or Tick-toc this is just what you need.

Initial Review Dec 16, 2020
To tell the truth it was the image of the tripod that first caught my attention. I already have LED lights and tripod stands for shooting video in our house. The lights I already have are fine (can't have too many though) but the tripods extended legs spread out too far so are too large for the area I have in which to use them. But after receiving this order I have to say I'm quite impressed with the LED light, and a little less the tripod.
The video light is very bright, easy to adjust, has a substantial battery, and is made of very high quality materials with an all aluminum body. The brightness and color temperature controls are very easy to use. A small LCD screen shows battery level, brightness and color temperature readings and a graphic display. In addition to the two primary dials there are three buttons. On the bottom is a swing away cleaver mount bar that allows the light to be attached to a 1/4-20 or a cold shoe. There is also a cold shoe on the top of the mount bar for a second light or perhaps a microphone. With the high quality of this product I would think the term "Precision Instrument" could apply to the G1s.
The G1s is a function packed light, way beyond the less expensive lights I already have. It is also about twice the width of my other lights which should make the light softer on the subject.
I can't begin to describe the number of modes and controls are possible with the two dials and three buttons. Frankly I don't even understand how some of them could be used such as the flash modes. There is lots of room for me to experiment.
As for the tripod it too is of high quality, extends and collapses easily. The tripod has rubber feet and is lightweight. Included is a locking swivel and tilt piece which is much appreciated. I usually have to attach a small ball-head to my light tripods.
It is said to be 61.5" tall while I measured 60" This is where I'm disappointed in the tripod. I often position my lights at a 45 degree angle and well above the head of a standing person. My other tripods are easily 96" tall. 60 inches is simply not enough for some of my use cases.
I do appreciate that the tripod collapses to only 17" making it much easier to carry and pack than my other tripods.
So one star off for the short tripod.
Pros:
- The G1s is a very high quality LED light with a full aluminum body.
- The combination of the two dials, three buttons, and the small screen monitor make this light very easy to adjust in both brightness and color temperature.
- The G1s is very bright; the brightest of the five LED lights I now have.
- The clever mounting bar on the bottom of the light allows for multiple mounting options.
- The substantial battery should allow the light to last for hours (have not tested this yet).
- The battery has fast charge capability with the appropriate charge brick.
- The G1s seems to have all of the light options I would need for video and possibly photo as well.
- The supplied tripod is of high quality.
- The supplied tripod, with collapsable sections, is easy to pack and operate.
Cons:
- The power switch is difficult to move. I finally found that I could use my thumbnail to catch the edge. A slight redesign here would be appreciated.
- The tripod, fully extended, is too short for my general use. It may be fine for a sitting person but not for a standing person where I want to have the light well over their head. As it is the light will be about eye level for a 6' tall person.
As long as you are okay with a 60" tripod I highly recommend the G1s light. I think this product is well worth the asking price of $99.

From the description, I was under the impression this was simply a light that you could mount to your camera or the included tripod and adjust the color for various photo and video effects. Well, it's that, and a whole lot more!
The light panel comes with a soft protective drawstring pouch and a USB-C charging cable, along with a hot shoe adapter to allow you to mount the light to a camera hot shoe, or a frame or other rig's cold shoe. Additionally the swing away mount has three 1/4-20 threaded sockets for other mounting and accessory configurations, and also a cold shoe in case you are using this light on-camera in conjunction with a microphone, for example.
The included tripod actually extends pretty tall so you could use it for seated subjects from floor level if need be. It also came with a plastic cell phone clamp as an added bonus. There are plenty of options for stationary or on-camera positioning.
The instruction manual and the menu options aren't super intuitive but after a few minutes of fiddling with it and reading the manual, it becomes apparent how the menu option function. The display on the back is an LED display, making it easy to see in varying light conditions.
So, what's so special about this light panel? well for starters, color temperature and brightness can be adjusted to suit the exact look you're going for. The actual color gamut varies from 0 to 360 and there is a reference label on the back of the panel that you can use to dial the color you want. And, within each color, you can dial the saturation you want, where the panel will mix in white light with the colored light to achieve the level of color saturation you need for your imaging.
All of these features are great and will allow you a ton of flexibility and creative control. But beyond that are the special effects modes. There are several strobe settings. There are three "emergency vehicle" settings which emulate police, ambulance and fire lights. This is useful if you are filming a scene for a crime drama and want to create the look of a police car just out of frame with its light flashing, for example.
There is also a flickering candle/firelight setting that mimics a sputtering candle, lantern or fire, which can be useful for filming a moody romantic scene, or evoking a festive holiday mood.
To say I am impressed with this light panel would be a huge understatement. It's a fantastically versatile tool that has a lot of utility in a photo studio, and even more for video. It is easily worth the cost without the included tripod and accessories. With them, it's a great deal for a very useful light panel. You can literally paint your scene with any visible color of light you want.

I’m a professional photographer I bought 2 leds they are amazing! Small and powerfull, the battery life is about 3 o 4 hours and when u charge them is super fast! Less than 40 min to be full again! I recommend these lights 100%

Talk about perfect timing! This light is everything, and for the price I can't beat it. Thinking about getting a couple more for my productions.

Great Light, very bright, lots of good options on colors. Love that has a rechargeable built in battery able to use outdoors
SwenDC
Love this light! If you're like me you value portability and ease of use when it come to shooting photos or creating videos. With this product you get a very powerful light at a very convenient size that barely takes up any room in your bag, you can even fit it in your back pocket if you need to. The battery has a pretty long life, while doing a time-lapse last night i had it at about 50% power and in about 4-5 hours in only lost around 25% battery. The effects that this light has are awesome for shooting creative videos and replicating certain ambient lighting you see in life, like phone screens, candle light, and emergency vehicle lights. The build quality feels great from the metal frame to the solid control dials on the side and the light stand that it comes with feels solid and is very compact making it great when you need a light stand and don't want to carry a heavier full sized one. I would def recommend this light to other photographers and might actually grab a couple more. Up above is an example of a portrait I took last night using this LED panel.
Zach
Light feels well built, compared to most of the pocket rgb lights this is the brightest. The light effects seem spot.on especially the storm effect. Battery life is average (maybe 2-3 hours). The colors seem very vibrant. Might have to purchase 2 more.
Mark
I did a lot of research on this before purchasing, and for the price this was the best/most reputable of the small rgb video lights I could find. As you can see in the video, it really adds a little more depth and pop to the side lighting in the beginning of the video. Really amazing for the price - and I like that it warns you on the back if it's getting too hot and has an auto shutoff. Also I didn't see it mentioned in reviews but it can run while plugged into USB-C power and also note that it charges faster when plugged into a higher-amp/watt charger. VERY cool!
svaldez318
To start off, I've been using lighting equipment and video cameras for about 10 years now! Im surprised how far technology has come to where this little unit can hold its own to some of my older, bigger studio lights!
Right out the box, you may need to charge your unit as I did with mine (it had no juice which isn't a problem) and I charged it via USB C which took about an hour and a half to fully charge. There is a cable included in the packaging but I have plenty of these type C laying around so I used my own.
The reason this product was so attractive to me is I was looking for a portable RGB light at the right price. I technically have RGB smart bulbs in the studio but they must be connected to wifi and you have to use a specific app, its a bit much! This light provides that function internally, NO APP NEEDED (thank you very much) and is compact enough that you can take it everywhere and place it anywhere thanks to the built in battery! (For size reference, if you look at the photos I provided, I am holding the unit in my hand and I would say I have an average hand size when compared to most)
This light has a range of brightness settings and functions that are easy to maneuver with using the dials on the right side of it and you know exactly what settings your changing with the built it LCD screen.
Anywho, I feel this light can be a part of anyone's loadout whether your strictly a photographer or you primarily do video work, or even a combination of the two. I am extremely happy with this unit and maybe be picking up another one in the near future!
P.S. I swear I wasn't paid to talk good about this product, I just get excited when I get new gear and this little yet powerful unit performed above and beyond!!

Work as advertised battery life great brightness colors accurate

Like many people who were affected by the pandemic, video calls have become critical to my day-to-day. In my case, the lighting in my home office was insufficient to provide my webcam with consistent, adequate exposure. As the natural light from my windows would shift, my video feed would become too dark or too bright. When I found this LED Light for such a reasonable price, I was thrilled. When I got a chance to experience the product firsthand, I was even happier.
QUALITY
1. Robust aluminum enclosure
2. Modern, fast USB-C charging
3. Output to power consumption ratio is excellent, allowing for several hours of usage between charges
VERSATILITY
1. Adjustable rotating arm + hot shoe mount means that you can place the light at any angle you can think of
2. Adjustments for any light temperature or color you can imagine
3. Plenty of power to light an entire room, yet dimmable enough to avoid blinding yourself in close-up
4. Exceedingly portable, so you can bring your own lighting with you
VALUE
1. Includes everything you need to get started – LED light, USB-C charging cable, swivel hot shoe adapter, and carrying pouch
2. Build quality is excellent, inspiring confidence that this light will last while also surviving accidental spills
3. Warranty is top notch – 12 months by default, with another 6 months added if you register the product, for a total of 18 months
Note:
Be careful with the hot shoe adapter. The thumbscrew on the top of the adapter is plastic, which can crack if you accidentally over tighten, as I did. Swapping out the hot shoe adapter for an all metal one would be the only change to this product that I would suggest.
I highly recommend this LED light for its quality, versatility, and value.

I was looking for compact LED light for photography, I was pleasantly surprised by the Pixel G1s RGB Video Light.
It is a good size with many lighting options (RGB and lighting effect for video). I am using this light for small product shoots so that I don't have to setup the studio lighting. The swing arm is very useful to allow the light to be swiveled 360° , the arm also has a mount for a hot shoe and 1/4" thread mounts to attach mic or to attach to a tripod or light stand.
I am quite satisfied with it and will be purchasing 2 more.
Pros:
- Well priced
- Compact and portable
- Sturdy Construction
- Multiple mounting points
- White and RGB light
- Variable brightness levels (1-100)
- Variable lighting temps (2500k - 8500k)
- User settable RBG value
- Multiple lighting effects
- Good battery life
- USB C port for charging (cable included)
- Includes hotshoe adapter
Cons
- Display screen is small
- Charge time took a little longer than expected (very minor issue)

This light is built like a tank! I was looking for a nice RGB light to add some color to my sets. I tried a few other brands and ended up returning them.
The build quality is amazing and the feature set is just as exciting. I'll be ordering another one! The fact that this will fit in a camera bag and packs so much power makes it a must-have!
Save yourself some time and just order two now! I can't wait to see more products from Pixel!
VIDEOGEEK
The build quality is excellent! In a compact very portable housing the effects are so cool I may just get a few more for my kit. Excellent value. Not my first on camera light but the coolest one by far! The light is rechargeable via usb and each bar on the battery level represents 20% battery level.
I am a traveling photographer and the portability of these make it easier to carry on a plane than a full light kit last time I had to check my light kit they lost my luggage and my expensive light kit sat in an airport baggage claim for hours anyone could have walked off with it. Luckily I got it back! Can't recommend this thing enough.
Niloy
I was actually very surprised to see how bright this little thing could really get! The colors look great and accurate and it's convenient that it's using USB-C . The controls are pretty intuitive once you play around with it for a few minutes.
The colors look great and something I didn't realize was the reference chart for the colors right on the back of the panel hahaha.
The metal base for the hotshoe was actually such a great idea to add for both maneuverability as well as versatility allowing you to add another accessory.
This panel really does a lot in a little though. I think if you're looking for a small light that's still quite powerful, then get this light. I feel like it'd be a really versatile tool in anyone's gear set. I can't wait to start using it for creative portraits!
