Perfect work device

Summaries

So far so good. Easy set up and prompt delivery. I appreciated the metal ring to attach Plaud to me phone. I gave it a 4 because the sleeve to protect it is quite tight and with my nails it’s difficult to pull it out of the sleeve quickly when needed. Tech not sure just yet but the summary notes thus far were right on target for my needs. Set up with your voice recognition helps it focus on my side of the notes which I appreciate.

Solid microphone, the service itself is garbage though for this price point.

Go with a competitor. The recordings are crisp yes. The subscription is more than the tiers they advertise if you want true unlimited transcription. To download your files the browser settings treat ogg files very differently than mp3. The desktop app requires access to your mic and audio to open the app to deal with the browser ogg issue so be prepared to feel the invasive dig just to be able to save a copy of YOUR file from YOUR device service that you’re about spend YOUR $200 on. And the lack of controlling ambient recording vs phone recording settings based on whether it is horizontal or vertical…. If I’d known the pain it is to just simply use the software I would have absolutely gone with another option. While I’m outside the return window at this point I’ll likely invest in a competitor at black Friday and see if Pawnshops would take this or if they already recognize it for the paperweight with a microphone on it that it is. You’ll find my screenshot of Plaud’s open items topics of all the things people wish they could do with this $200 equipment and their subscription prices on top of it for reference as to how underwhelming the service itself is.

Great AI

The AI works great, picks up everything in the room. Im blown away how well it works. Only down side is the case did not fit on the back of my phone. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. I have a mag tech case on it and the conner of AI case would set on top of the camera lenses. I had to cut case to fit around the camera lenses. Other than that it's awesome.

This is a fantastic tool. Easy to use, gets everything and organizes it beautifully and to where it makes sense.

Excellent at recording and multilingual transcription

The PLAUD Note Pro is amazing at recording conversations. The microphones and noise cancellation work extremely well, and it can pick up conversations clearly even when the device is in my pocket.

The transcription works brilliantly. It can transcribe Arabic very accurately, even when Arabic and English are mixed in the same conversation.

The device is incredibly thin and light, with a practical single button to start and stop recording. There is no built-in speaker, which is actually a plus for me because it makes the device much more discreet.

The first unit I received had some hardware issues, but when I contacted customer service, they immediately sent me a replacement.

The app and its AI features are also very good. One of the best features is that you only need to transcribe a recording once. After that, you can run different AI models on the same transcript without having to transcribe it again. You can also export the transcript and use it with an external AI platform if you prefer.

Overall, it’s a very practical and well-designed device, especially for recording and transcribing conversations in multiple languages.

Charges incredibly slow

If I could give this zero stars, I would it has been absolutely awful since I’ve purchased it. But I didn’t realize that until now. It takes a really really long time to charge like days.

Near impossible to charge

It is practically impossible to charge. They have made the most ridiculous charging port on the back, which is magnetic, but it’s not strong enough to overpower the twisting cord they give you. And it’s proprietary so you can’t go get another one. The twisted cord you will hook it up. We will fight for an hour to try to get it to charge then you will walk away and it will unplug itself and you will have to return 14, 15, 20 times a charge session, just to check is it still charging or did it disconnect? It’s so ridiculous all they have to do is put the standard charging port at the bottom, but they tried to make money and screwed over all their customers. It will take you about 100 personal interventions per charge just to get this device charged up.

Plaud saves my college life

Good product! It's easy to use and easy to take. Connected to almost every AI product, it can provide very good analysis and really helps me a lot. I use Plaud to record the course that I'm not able to attend due to some reason, it really saves a lot of time. Also as an international student, Plaud performed perfectly to help me catch up on the classes. Thanks to Plaud, I get a easier college life! I'm so happy to find a product that fits my demand. The discount and delivery are also very good.

UGH! - Not Delighted but Not Disgusted Either.

I'm testing this alongside of the Pocket AI Note Taker. So far, I prefer the Pocket device and app infrastructure because of the ease of use and end user friendliness. My final decision is still forthcoming on the Plaud Note Pro. YouTube videos from the Plaud Company site are not Engaging IMO, too fast and too short, not conversational, unfriendly, and not really tailored for an American Audience in my opinion. All these things matter to me. Subscription for the transcription service isn't cheap but doable providing I like what I encounter when making a decision after finishing my test drive.

Small Recorder, Clear Audio, Useful AI Organization and Strong Battery Life

I love how small and lightweight this recorder is. It easily fits in my pocket, and the audio has been very clear. I’ve used it for both shorter recordings and long conversations with multiple speakers and normal background activity.

What I appreciate most is what happens after the recording. Instead of leaving me with one long audio file to sort through, the app can create a transcript and organize the information into notes, summaries, topics, decisions and action items. This has been especially useful with longer recordings. The transcription isn’t perfect, particularly with some names or words, so I still verify anything important against the original recording.

Battery life has also impressed me. On one day I made four recordings totaling more than 6½ hours. One continuous recording alone was 5 hours and 57 minutes, and I still had battery remaining afterward.

The recorder itself is compact enough that it doesn’t feel like another bulky device I have to carry around.

My biggest downside is the cost of the unlimited transcription plan at $29.99 per month. That can add up, so I think the unlimited option makes the most sense for someone who records and transcribes regularly.

One hardware improvement I would like to see in a future version is USB-C charging built directly into the PLAUD. The current charging method works, but built-in USB-C would be more convenient and would mean one less specialized charging cable to keep track of.

Overall, I really like the combination of portability, clear recordings, long battery life and the ability to turn lengthy recordings into organized, usable information. For me, the organization after recording is one of its strongest features.

Customer Service is the Worst

After 5 months with just light use, with one to 4 conversations recorded in a week with a 30-minute maximum, today, July 28th, 2026, my Note Pro went from 45% in just a few minutes to 0%, and I tried to do everything the customer service required. After 8.5 hours, the device is still at 0%. Customer service can not help with anything if the device's battery dies. They told me there is no warranty and I have to buy a new one. This is ridiculous to spend this money on a device that is used lightly and just broke in a few months.

I totally do not recommend this company. My friend has another popular company that already, after 9 months, replaced his device for free when it started to consume the battery faster than expected.

Good, with caveats

Plaud is incredibly useful as a meeting and/or telephone companion. It'll record your call/meeting, summarize the high points and give you a transcript (as well as audio file) of what transpired. You can go back to refer to what was discussed and decided. I recommend checking into privacy issues re: how the data is used, where it goes in the cloud, if it's trained on, etc., and how it lines up with your company's policies so you don't get into trouble.

The device itself is incredibly thin--but it requires a slipcase to attach to your phone via MagSafe. Thus, the thinness of the device is negated somewhat by the "full package"; even more annoying is that the Plaud requires a proprietary magnetic charging cable. And that means that even if you still feel the case and device together are thin enough to carry around, you'll also need to carry that proprietary magnetic cable. I'm guessing they went the magnetic route to make the device itself as thin as possible, negating the ability to use a USB-C port, but a device like POCKET (I think they go by the name of heyPocket) is roughly about the same as the Plaud in its case--and uses a USB-C. I prefer the Pocket setup because if I forget the Plaud cable and I need a charge, I'm screwed. If I'm using my Pocket and it needs juice, I can use the same USB-C cable I carry for my phone.

Last note: Plaud gives you a bunch of minutes free per month. When you start getting close, you'll get notified that you're running out and that you may want to purchase a plan to keep using it. Since I've been comparing the Plaud to Pocket, Pocket offers unlimited minutes, as well as a subscription plan for additional features. I don't need those additional features, so I prefer Pocket's free/unlimited setup.

This is awesome, it does come with a charger, a black sleeve that sticks on the back of your phone by magnet ring and they provide one with a sticky strip of your phone doesn’t have that technology. It was dictating me from the time I pushed the button the first time, this is going to make my business life so much better!

Absolutely NO…”5V, 0.5W - 2W” provided to properly charge this?

Plaud says to use an independent “5V 0.5 to 2 Watt wall charger” instead of using your CPU. They provide a special magnetic charging cord from the device to an C end of the cable. So now you have to buy a aftermarket 5V wall charger, in which I looked into and cannot find? They don’t even sell it on their end. Thus if your $200 Plaud Note recorder fails, catches on fire, or even goes to hell. You will be w/out warranty due to NOT having it charged properly with a 5V, 0.5W to 2W. Seems to have a hole in their directions to properly “charging” this unit. What now Plaud? Where do we get this so called “Wall charger w/ female Type C block you have pictured on your website? In addition, magnetic ring will not work if you have a plastic protective case. Device can just easily detach. After you insert the device in the provided case, it is almost impossible to remove. To remove it it’s best to shake it out. Website wants you to pay a subscription plan to buy minutes, however, you get free 300 monthly minutes (5hrs).

It works Very good Better than expected

This device is absolutely a game changer for me. I am a project manager for an HVAC company. Being able to keep up with all the notes and random phone calls I get throughout the day and all the questions, I'm able to keep track of everything with this device. Highly recommend.

Well, I am not an affiliate I like to be, but as a customer of this Plaud AI device I really am enjoying it. I’m still learning. It does a great job of summary layout of a conversation that you have with another party I really like that how it lays it out. I’m really impressed and I look forward to learning more about this Plaud device.

To soon to tell

I am not sure why they want a review when I just received the product an hour ago. So far, it is small and easy to put on the back of my phone. Easy to set up and use. It did record the first time I used it and the summary was accurate. I’m just not familiar enough to give a review yet, so I’ll be back with more information later.

Credit card size, 1 button does it all.

Records loud and clear. Instructions manual clear in some areas and not clear in other areas. I will be experimenting as I go along to test features and benefits out. First thing I did update firmware.

Awesome product

I am a commercial construction superintendent. I used this for the first time today on the job. I recorded a phone call with my plumber. Then asked AI for a call summary. Then emailed the summary of the call to my office and the plumber. The summary was absolutely perfect, precise and completed within a quick amount of time. I honestly can say this product is a game changer. Well worth the money. Anything that gives me protection within he said, she said and saves me time is well worth it.
