Looking For A Dock that works with Dell Inspiron 15 3525
Works flawlessly for anyone with a Dell Inspiron 15 3525who wants to connect two monitors!
I specifically want to highlight the Dell Inspiron 15 3525 because it can be difficult to find a docking station that supports extended displays with this laptop. If you’re like me and have been searching for a dock that is compatible with this computer, look no further than the Plugable UD-3900 USB 3.0 Docking Station.
Setup is very easy. Just follow the simple instructions included in the package, download the required software from the website provided in the instructions, and connect everything. Once it’s all plugged in and configured, the magic happens!
I’m very happy with how well it works and how easy it is to setup, especially for extending my laptop display to two external monitors Thank you guys!!

Great workaround for a one-HDMI laptop: ultrawide plus a second monitor
I just got this today and have it hooked up, so this is a first-impressions review. Here are some specifics in case they help you.
I'm using it with an ASUS Zenbook, which has only one HDMI port. I wanted two monitors, and one of them is 3440x1440, which is beyond this dock's supported resolution. The workaround is to plug that monitor straight into the laptop's HDMI port and put the second monitor (a standard 1920x1080) in the dock. Both displays work this way. I'm not using my laptop screen at all, and I haven't even tried it with the screen on.
My laptop doesn't have an RJ45 port, so I'd only ever been on Wi-Fi until now. The dock's ethernet port worked. Everything else I have plugged into the dock is working as intended.
If you're in the same spot, with one HDMI port and a monitor the dock can't handle, this setup works.

Decent for the price.
Works well with two HDMI monitors through usb-C input. Mouse and keyboard usb input work fine.
Would have like a powering throughput, but decent for the price.

Product works well, allowing me to expand my laptop into three separate screens. Some of the cable connections are a little loose, but they work just fine.

Easilly Supports 3 Displays
i've been using the plugable 3.0 for a while, to connect my HP Pavilion laptop to 3 external displays simultaneously. As well as to, manage external hard drives and connect wireless devices. I do highly recommend the Pasport 3.0, as it's met my needs and superceded my expectations; if you're considering the Passport 3.0 and it meets your specifications.

Does not include dual cable as shown in the image. Looks worn out. Pluggable sent a new one.
I only bought this because I needed the dual usb usbc functionality. It is not included. Not sure where it says it was a used product, but it is very used.
Then I reached out to pluggable support, and we figured out that I purchased it from a third party vendor called dealkings(DONT BUY FROM THEM BUY FROM PLUGGABLE!). Their support still send me a new product free of charge just because. Amazing support from pluggable.com-

The only Triple-Monitor-Output device that worked with my Laptop
I tried several products before. From cheap "mini docking stations" like the QGeeM to the USB-C -> HDMI extension adaptor. They all were horrible products that would not work with my laptop. Some would not even load, others would show display on my screen but flicker non-stop. I was incredibly frustrated. I started researching online "is it possible to connect 3 monitors to one laptop" and I found next to no results. I came across a website with a video from a company named "plugable" and saw a man with 7 monitors hooked up to one laptop. It was then i knew that company/device is what i needed to power mine.
I packaged all of the products I purchased in a return, and immediately bought this product. When I got it, I plugged it in (1 HDMI, 1 USB 3.0, and one VGA output) to my computer and BAM, 3 screens as you see in the picture. No flickering. Perfect display and response time.
This is the only product that ever worked for me. If you are looking to display 3 monitors on one laptop (it is possible!), this is the product for you. I should mention that when I did plug in the third monitor, the display on my laptop went black. Apparently, there is some limitation on how many screens can display on one device, but 3 was the number I was going for, so it works. I can't guarantee if it works for more devices.

Fantastic powered hub!
I had a power surge that fried my old USB 2.0 hub. A tech support guy suggested this and it is terrific. Not only does it support two external monitors connected to my Surface Pro 6, but the direct Ethernet port has dramatically increased my Internet speed. Worth mentioning that I am also running a Logitech BRIO UHD webcam, a SHURE MV7 digital mic, a printer, keyboard and mouse, and an external hard drive - all effortlessly. And the setup was completely smooth. I highly recommend this hub. Thanks to Plugable!

Easy setup. Works well. No problems so far. Running: Ethernet internet, 2 monitors, 1 printer, USB power to a laptop cooler, 2 USB extension wires to 2 USB receiver dongles, 1 USB 3.0 external hard drive, and another USB wire to a Lenovo video converter running a 3rd monitor. All from 1 USB 3.0 port on the laptop!

Works for Windows 10 and macOS Catalina
So I've had this docking station for a while and used it for Windows 10 without issue. I did initially have some monitor flicker, but switched out one cable to use displayport instead of VGA and all was fine. I had a similar issue with my last docking station (Lenovo) and think this is more a cable/monitor issue than docking station related. I recently bought a new Macbook Pro 16 inch and if you go to plugable.com you can download the drivers and it works great. Only new item I needed was a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to USB dongle to connect to the docking station. Only used it a few minutes so far, so can't say if I'll have issues, but so far it works great! As with the Windows setup you still need your power cable plugged in.

Great product did my research and read reviews this thing is FANTASTIC!!!!5 stars again!
I plugged it in and worked great, I shut down and had a restarting issue; SUPPORT responded within 8 hours (Over night, didn't submit until 10pm, my problem!), once I gave them the required info, within 10 minutes someone contacted me sent me a Youtube link with a simple configuration problem, step by step for a limited computer savvy individual to execute!!!(in Display Setting had 3rd monitor not set to expand)

It works great
I needed to connect 2 monitors to my laptop. The docking station takes up a small amount of space, it has several usb ports on it and they were needed. It was very easy to connect 2 monitors to it. I have not had any issues with it therefore I have not needed tech support. I'm not sure what sleep mode is for the docking station. When my laptop goes to sleep or I turn it off completely the docking station still displays the blue light. Guess I will look into what the "sleep mode"is for. I will be purchasing a 2nd docking station for my desktop computer and 2 monitors.

Works great with surface pro 4
I was looking for a product that would connect all of my extras to my surface pro 4 and once I found this-I was able to stop looking. You can’t see it in my pictures-but it’s in the back left corner of picture-behind the screen.
It is connected to the surface pro 4, my wireless keyboard and mouse, my 32” monitor, and my microphone (and my headphones are connected to my mic).
Anyway-all this and I still have room to connect more things-such as a hard drive or more screens or whatever!
I had to go to the website to download the drivers but that was super simple.
Highly recommend!

It Works on my Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.13.6
It works fairly well. It's cheaper price than some of the nice ones on the market, so I guess that's reason to sacrifice some of the performance. It's super easy to use/set up. I'm using windows 10 64 bit, and it loaded up on the first try. It does lag a lot at times tho, particularly when I am editing videos on Cyberlink Powerdirector, but I think that might have to do with my graphics card being a little old. Not a big deal, just means I'll be moving a bit slower on projects. Other than that, no issues.
UPDATE 8/22/2019
It works with MacOS high sierra version 10.13.6 which is my wife's laptop. See my pictures for proof. Follow the instructions on the website for downloading the drivers and it will work. Thank you plugable! My wife is a med school student and having multiple monitors is really going to help her. Originally I gave you 4 stars but now I'm changing that to 5!

Works Mostly as Expected
Used as a docking station for my dual monitors and laptop. Works perfectly for the monitors and USB memory devices. I have had problems trying to use this for my USB headset. People I am talking to say that there is a crackling noise and I end up having to plug them directly into the computer and the noise goes away. One complaint I have is that the A/C adapter is pretty loose when plugged it. If it gets bumped it tries to come out and turns the unit off. And then, of course, the feed to the monitors turn off. I'm planning to just use electrical tape to keep it from coming out.

Power flickers on and off. Randomly doesn't recognize keyboard or mouse.
This was terribly disappointing. I bought this docking station so I could use two desktop monitors for my laptop when I have to work from home. After getting the software driver installed, it worked great - for about 12 hours. Now the power flickers on and off. I can put it in a vertical position and the power will sometimes come back on, but cut off again as soon as I set the unit down (see attached video). Also it will intermittently not recognize the keyboard and mouse.

great product
I work from home a lot, and when i have to go back to office it is so difficult to unplug everything and pack it, then vise a versa........this way, I have 2 monitors, printer, wireless mouse, phone charger, 50" TV as back up monitor and power all in this thing. sure it is a bit pricey, but it is a saving grace in my mind. i now just unplug the unit from computer and shove it in my bag.....the company got me one for the office when I suggested it and makes this simple and easy.

Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 Dual Monitor Solution
I spent a good amount of time researching for a compatible hub that could offer a dual monitor set up solution for my Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5, and it seemed that everything on the market was not compatible with this particular model Flex 5 "1570 81CA". After reading in another forum about different solutions to get the dual monitors set up working, I was convinced that I should give the Plugable hub a try. I considered myself a tech oriented person, so I was ready for the challenge to get this working one way or another. Got it last night, and literally it was a plug and play device. Windows recognized it and set this up in about 30 secs. I'm very happy with the product. I'm using 3 monitors including my laptop; I have 1 monitor hooked to the laptop's hdmi port, and the 2nd one hooked to the Plugable hub's hdmi port. There is a dvi port, and a dvi-vga adapter as well. Since this device supports the dual monitor set up by itself (1 through hdmi port and the 2nd through the dvi port), I assume you could have 3 external monitors hooked up, by adding the 3rd one to your Flex 5 hdmi port. The hub is connected to the usb 3.0 port on my laptop. Fairly easy. If you can plug a device, windows will take care of the rest.
I would suggest that the provided usb cable be longer than 3' (maybe 6'), just in case you would like/have to place the hub away from the laptop in order to properly have all cable hidden under your desk. Its a suggestion, not a complaint :)
I would 100% recommend this product to those Lenovo owners with the Flex 5 1570-81CA model having hard time with the dual monitor set up.

Great product, great support. You won't go wrong.
First of all, I balked at the price tag. I only needed a KVM switch, I thought. Nearly $90? It added some USB 3.0 ports, but I already had those.
The more I investigated however, the more it became clear Plugable has produced a miracle product. (Perhaps miracle is overstating it, but man, the thing just WORKS.)
My ingredients: Two AOC 24" monitors, with only VGA and DVI ports. One HP Elitebook (Windows 7 Pro), about four years old, with a VGA and a DisplayPort. One brand new ASUS Q325UA (Windows 10 Home) with only 2 USB-C 3.1 ports.
My home-grown recipe: Get both laptops to share the monitors, and switch between them.
The hub of this became the Plugable Dual Monitor Docking Station. A DVI cable from one monitor and a VGA from the other go into the station. I then I have a USB 3.0 out from the station, which is going to a Plugable USB 3.0 sharing switch. The two USB 3.0 cables then go from the switch to each of the laptops, the ASUS using a simple USB-A to USB-C adapter that came with my Samsung Note 8.
Works great now. But not at first.
The Windows 10 machine, ironically, was the challenge. I could not get the Plugable DisplayPort software to extend the desktops properly. I was getting strange video glitches. I contacted Plugable support via email. I was skeptical - there was no phone number. But the support tech - Mitchell - was great. Responded quickly, pored over error logs, went above and beyond. Amazing customer service. I cannot recommend Plugable enough because of this. If you are having any sort of issue, swallow your pride (fellow Men of Tech, I am speaking to you) and shoot them an email.
So yeah, as long as your old laptop has a USB 3.0 port and the display adapter can handle DisplayPort tech, you're good to go with this one. Highly recommended. Along with this is pic of my setup (pardon the dust).

Perfect Universial Docking Station for Multiple Devices connected to a Laptop
The Plugable USB Dock is outstanding. Set up was extremely easy and it worked perfectly out of the box with my Lenovo Laptop, wireless keyboard/mouse, speakers, and two monitors, a Dell and an HP.
I spend about half of my time in the office and the other half out of the office. Having the ability to quickly reconnect my laptop to my workstation in my home office is important to me and the Plugable makes it a breeze. Previously I had multiple connections to the laptop through a multiple USB adaptor, making it a real pain to connect power, speakers, keyboard/mouse, and dual monitors; frankly it only worked about half the time.
I spent a lot of time researching my options and while there were less expensive (and more expensive) options, the Plugable was perfect for me. I was concerned that other similar devices required downloading driver software, but in my case, my Lenovo Yoga was purely plug and play.
If you are looking for a cost effective means of setting up multiple devices quickly and easily, you can't go wrong with the Plugable device. I highly recommend it.

Love It!
Good news. It worked.
So just for everyone else thinking of trying this kind of setup, this is what I’m using.
Surface Pro 4 i7, 16g ram.
Plugable Dual Display Dock along with TWO
Plugable 3.0 to HDMI Adapter connected to it via 3.0 port.
as far as the monitors
THREE HP - 27" IPS LED FHD Monitors (model# T3M86AA#ABA)
I noticed that the displays wouldn't really work with the 2.0 behind the dock, well they did BUT it was laggy when a window would minimize and video play was fine.
Right out of the box everything started working. I will post an update some time down the road if i do encounter any issues but so far nothing at all.
Just wanted to say thank you and I hope this helps anyone thinking of using this product. It’s worth it, period. (don’t get the Microsoft dock, it sucks)

Works seamlessly
This worked perfectly, better than expected. I am using this for a Surface Pro 4, which has one single usb 3.0 port, and sure enough that single cable is all you need to hook up to expand/dock the Surface to everything needed at the desk. Docking and undocking is seamless, takes about three seconds to sync/sort itself out. This is setup for a coworker who isn't very computer savvy, and it is working flawlessly and without headaches or glitches. The software/driver was easy to obtain and install from their website, and despite running 24/7 has a very small resource footprint.
I am docking to...
-Dual 24in monitors (1920x1080). (handles three screens support when you count the laptop screen, even a 4K)
-Headphones (tested audio in too, works fine)
-Ethernet
-USB ports(have maxed all ports out with devices and everything works smooth at once. webcam, printer, external HD, wireless kb/m dongle, thumbdrive)
Network speed tests, USB read/write speed tests, audio and display quality are all fine for normal use. Got nothing negative to say, I installed this a month ago and havn't needed to go back to tinker with it at all.
