Crystal Clear Dialogue and a Perfect Match for a Home Theater System
I purchased the Polk Monitor XT35 center channel speaker as part of my home theater setup, and it has quickly become one of the most important speakers in the room.
The biggest improvement I noticed was dialogue clarity. Before adding the XT35, I often found myself adjusting the volume during movies because voices were difficult to hear while action scenes seemed much louder. The XT35 solved that problem almost immediately. Dialogue is clear, natural, and easy to understand, even during busy scenes with lots of background effects.
The slim design was another major selling point. It fits comfortably on my entertainment center without blocking the television, while still delivering a surprisingly large and detailed sound. Despite its compact profile, it fills the room with sound and keeps up easily with the rest of my speaker system.
For movies and streaming content, the XT35 truly shines. Conversations sound focused and realistic, making it easier to follow dialogue without relying on subtitles. Music and concert content also sound excellent, with vocals remaining clear and centered.
The speaker integrates seamlessly with the rest of the Polk Monitor XT series. The tonal matching creates a cohesive soundstage where voices, effects, and music blend naturally across the front of the room.
Pros:
• Outstanding dialogue clarity
• Slim design fits easily under most TVs
• Excellent performance for movies and streaming
• Clear and natural vocal reproduction
• Attractive and well-built cabinet
• Great value for the performance
Cons:
• Larger than some ultra-compact center speakers
• Performs best when paired with matching left and right speakers
After extended use, I continue to be impressed with the XT35. It has significantly improved the overall movie-watching experience and made dialogue much easier to understand. If you're building or upgrading a home theater system, the Polk Monitor XT35 is one of the best investments you can make and earns an easy 5-star recommendation.

I built a complete Onkyo/Polk sound system that I use on my gaming PC.
I am very happy with this entire setup and highly recommend Polk speakers to anyone looking for a nice sound system at a moderate price.

I bought this Polk Audio speaker because my existing speaker was Polk, but I needed a smaller slimmer model. Great clarity and sleek design. Polk never disappoints.

Very nice heavy construction. I was having trouble hearing the voices even with my hearing aids in before adding this to the system.

I thought this would increase the dialog volume but it was the exact same sound as the sony core center channel i felt like the 99 dollar sony core center had slightly more fullness in fact which just shocked me that a speaker 200 dollars more wasnt a clear winner. However it is a nice speaker and if i needed to mount on my wall id choose this but i dont so returning and keeping the sony core since it matches my left amd right and just cuter looking anyway.

Finally a center channel that takes into account people's actual furniture. Especially since we don't have our TVs mounted to the wall in our rental unit, this is a perfect size to fit under a TV (ours is 55"). I used to have the older Polk center channel and it was mounted above my TV on a shelf I built. But that was a pain to assemble, and we didn't end up using it when we moved to a new place. But this new one is so much more consumer friendly. We had the TV on its original foot mount, but the center channel was just a hair too tall (its maybe 4"). We got a fairly cheap extendable arm to put on top of our TV cabinet and the Polk center channel fits perfectly on that foot. The whole setup is very space efficient. That said, the sound is great. All the modern sound setups on streaming, TV and BluRays (remember those?) seems to be designed for dialogue in the center channel. With this Polk unit plugged into our Onkyo TX-NR636 (at least 5 years old), we can once again hear all the dialogue and our side speakers (Polk 10" bookshelves and JBL 20" monitors) can distribute and handle bass, higher treble and directional sound. Its a very satisfying setup for our space and a great piece of gear.
