Cute traditional fan
Love the fan. It looks great in my room. It did have a short in the light pull chain but we use the light switch to turn it on anyway. * I added an 18” down rod.

I needed a low cost option for one of my rental homes. These fans checked all the boxes. They are very quiet and easy to install (just like any other fan).

I was worried these would look cheap, but they are great quality and perfect for kids and guest rooms. Saved a ton!

I have now purchased two of these.
Reversible blades. Photos show both colors .
Easy assemble/installation. Completely satisfied.

Purchased 2 of these while doing our kitchen makeover. Even though they look like dining room lights to me the shiny silver with brown wood side fan blades seems to work well in our kitchen.
Important notes: you can hang these on the pole or about 5" closer to the ceiling without it. We tried it first with the pole but it was too low, the light was shining right in my eyes, pull chain hit in me in the head. Easy enough to take it down and put it back up shorter though my wife did hold the bottom while I screwed on the fan blades, those blue & white wire connectors are very secure.
Also, I think the bulbs are a bit bright. My wife likes it but for me three 6.5w (65watt equivalent) 600 lumen bulbs is too much for open bulbs. 3 of those in the open, 6 w/ both fans, should be more than enough.
Putting up the fans was fine, replacing ones I had already installed, been in the house 20 years, probably put up a dozen, hasn't changed much. Agree with the others those twist fan blade attachers are a bit weird, screws and nuts were easy enough.
Overall for about half the price of similar fans this was great. Will have to wait on longevity, I've had fan motors die before, and lights. That's the real test, but so far so good at least.

Strong constructed fan, nice design!

Solo que no sé sobre el remote control, precio súper cómodo.

The reversible blades were incredibly simple to assemble, and while I had a hard time deciding which color to display, I knew I could change them again at any time. The fan went together fairly easily, and was installed without the downrod because the ceiling in this room isn't as high as others. I'd initially wanted a flush mount fan for that reason, but this fan turned out to be perfectly fine.

This ceiling fans are very small for my bedroom. It is 44 in, It looks better for small rooms. There is scratch on one of the fan when I opened the package. The color of the fans are nice as picture shown. The price is affordable, but it is too small for my liking.

This is a pretty light, my electrician was supposed to be here Friday and do the install. I am going to do it myself since he did not show up. I feel like this will be very easy to install as it has everything I could possible need to get the fan up and running!

Update (10/22/20): Changed the bulbs from 40W equivalents, to 25W (2W) 2200K ones, which makes this light much more usable in the morning (in that it isn't too bright).
Summary: Replaced our +20 year old kitchen fan with this one. I wasn't sure about the three light setup, but my wife thought it would look nice in the kitchen, and she was right. One nice thing about this fan is that it is small and fits perfectly in our small kitchen. The coloring is really nice: crisp white and wood grain (blade is reversible to solid white too). We re-used the existing 24" drop rod from the old fan.
Observations: The directions were very easy to read and had excellent pictures that showed each step clearly. Putting the fan together was relatively simple. The lights are simple, but pretty. The fan is pretty quiet, even at high, and puts out a good amount of air.
Recommendations: Lay out all the parts and inspect them before getting started.
Pros: Good fit & finish; decent instructions; just about everything needed was in the kit; the wiring was long enough to accommodate the 24" extension rod we re-used from the old fan, so no wire splicing (or wire nuts) required!
Cons: None.
Conclusion: At $88, this is a 5-star fan. This fan is a great bang-for-your-buck fan and I would highly recommend it.

This fan clicks most of the boxes. It moves a good amount of air, looks nice, and is mostly quiet.
The install fairly straight forward. If you've installed one before, this one will be no problem. There is one thing that makes this a little different. Most fans require you to use some hardware to bolt or screw the blades onto their mounts. This one has latches that turn. The blade has three slots that the pins go in. On each pin is a latch that turns to hold it in place. This makes the install slightly faster, but that's about it.
The one thing this fan is missing is a remote. If you have a higher ceiling, you really need a remote. I bought one to go with this for about $15.
This one is a great option for a small room. If it had a remote, it would be a five star fan.

I'm in the process of building my solar-powered off-grid cabin. I'm at the point now where I can start putting in a few electrical items. To keep me cool while I work and to have some extra light, I ordered this Portage Bay 51442 Miller Park Ceiling Fan, 44 inch, Bronze colored fan for my loft bedroom.
Given the arched ceilings and rough-cut beam, I needed a 44 inch fan. Since the color of my tongue and groove wall coverings will be lighter, the color and texture of the blades will make a nice accent. The blades can be turned over for a darker colored wood texture. I believe that's what they're calling the Chocolate Maple.
The fan and lights work great. In the case of the fan, the blades are well balanced. The lights are what I would term as being just slightly whiter than a soft white - a pleasing color that is not harsh or glaring in your eyes.
The fan has three speeds that can be set using the fan pull chain. I also have the fan motor wired into a wall switch, which works well. The fan is quiet. Be prepared to do some assembly. It took me around 45 minutes to wire the fan in and assemble it. I recommend that you install the fan motor first then add the blades just before you affix the light accessory. That will make it easier to complete the wiring and hang the motor.
I've priced other fans similar in design concept and they sell for a considerably higher price. Thus, this fan is not only beautiful and well made, but it also delivers a lot of value for the price.

We didn’t have an overhead light on our rooms so we had an electrician come in to wire the electric and install the fan. He said it was an easy install with no issues. The fans operate very quietly and don’t move, shake, or rattle. They are balanced perfectly. The silver and light color blades are beautiful. The fan puts out a lot of air and is very efficient. It’s an excellent fan at a great value.

I got this fan to replace a lighting fixture in my office. The instructions were good, the materials were average. I won't go through the whole installation, but it was pretty standard as far as fans go. The method for mounting the blades to the arms was a new one to me. It works well and there are no screws to strip out. The connection box inside the motor assembly had a piece of 2-sided tape that didn't hold. The kit comes with balancing weights but they weren't needed. The fan isn't super heavy. It's very quiet. Light bulbs were included. I expect the fan to last for years.

I was born and raised in the South and have installed a lot of ceiling fans. This fan has some unique differences to most I've used, both good and bad.
The motor is very compact, which is both good and bad:
Good:
+ It's attractive and unobtrusive.
+ It's fairly light and easy to handle on top of a ladder.
Bad:
- It was one of the more difficult to install units I've used:
- The canopy and yoke cover must both be on the rather short downrod before it can be hung. This leaves barely any room to connect the wiring (but then I do have large hands).
- The blade arms seem to be designed to hide the screws that hold them to the motor and there is only a small opening in the fitter plate that allows access to only 1 screw at a time, making it impossible to see the screws and difficult to attach the arms. Additionally, the screws that attach the arms are very small and are not captive in the arms, as they are in some other brands, making them easy to drop (since you can't see them).
The fan blades seem to be made of particle board with laminate faces. They are press fit onto oblong plastic ferrules on the blade arms, with a thin metal twist lock to secure them. It's the first time I've seen this attachment. Fan blades are usually secured to the arms with screws.
My first impression of the lighting was very positive. I really liked that the glass shades are secured with a socket ring that screws onto the outside of the light socket. That is, until I tried to install them. My hands are just too big to reach inside the shades to screw the socket ring on. I was able to fit the ring into the end of a toilet paper core to screw them on and reach in with 2 fingers to finish tightening them. If your hands are normal size, you probably won't have that problem. They are much better than the old set screw type.
Overall, this fan is pretty good. It operates smoothly and quietly, seems solid, and matches our décor perfectly. Recommended.

I’ve installed plenty of light fixtures, but this was my first time installing a ceiling fan. I was a little intimidated, but the dingy, sagging blades on the 25+ year old fan I previously had gave me the fire I needed to tackle the job. Here’s a breakdown of my experience
Packaging-The fan was packed exceptionally well. Everything was secured nicely in Styrofoam and all of the components were in perfect condition and unscathed. No globes were broken or chipped.
Install- It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t ABC either. The instructions with this fan are clear and easy enough to follow, but if you’ve never installed a fan before, you’re really going to want to slow down, read every step carefully and take your time. Make sure you understand everything completely before doing it so you don’t make mistakes you have to undo. It’ll just prolong the process. I installed mine by myself but it wouldn’t hurt to have a helping hand. The motor is pretty heavy, so keep that in mind if you have trouble lifting things over your head.
Quality-The blades feel a little cheap. They’re “wood laminate”, which we all know is code for MDF with a thin layer of veneer on top. Don’t man handle them. Best case scenario, you scratch the finish. Worst case scenario, it breaks. Just trust me, be careful with them. Other than that, everything else is up to par. The brushed nickel finish is pretty and the body of it is solid. The globes are pretty thick as well and also have a great look. I like that it came with bulbs. Always love when I don’t have to buy something extra. They’re LED too, so score again. Nice and bright. The reversible blade is a nice touch that I believe manufacturers have only begun doing in recent years. It’s like having two fans in one. I went with the grey finish because it matched my farmhouse decor in the living room.
I really wish it had a remote with it, but it's not a dealbreaker. Overall, I’d recommend buying this fan depending only on price. It’s currently not available so I don’t know how much it costs, but I’ll tell you, I wouldn’t pay over a hundred bucks for it. I’ve seen similar fans at other retailers for around $80 and they were 52 inches, not 44. Just keep that in mind and make the decision that's best for your home/wallet.

Chose this 44" smaller fan to help push air around in our kitchen/dining area. Sometimes the house being hot, is not hot, but rather stagnant air that just needs to be moved around. This 44" fan was probably the perfect sized fan for our tiny kitchen. Any smaller and it might have just looked silly.
Hubs installed it and it took him maybe 20 minutes start to finish after I had already deboxed it and put all the pieces aside. There were some points it frustrated him and it made him sweat a little, but it did not take hours to install.
The whole thing is attractive. Disappointing that the lights don't move at all and they are at just the right angle that they are bright and catch your eyes. I wish I could tilt them a wee more outward. The fan blades are also not universal. Prior to getting this I was already thinking of replacing the fan blades. Our whole house is a medium oak and the blades on this, I knew ahead of time, were not a perfect matcher. The way these blades attach are unlike any ceiling fan blades I have seen and I forgot to take a pix before it was installed. Thus ... someday ... they will probably be stained to a medium oak over the light grey side.
Overall ... nicely valued, quiet, and smoothly running ceiling fan with no wobble. Which is good because I misplaced the balancers that came with it. Shame on me.

What I liked about this Portage Bay ceiling fan was how easy it was to assemble. The instruction are clear and easy to follow. The wires are clearly marked and colored to make installation easy. The fan comes with 3 60-watt bulbs and globes. The reversible fan blades are thin yet very sturdy when installed. The build quality of this ceiling fan is excellent. The complete assembly took me around 20 minutes to get it fully setup. The fan runs smooth with no wobbling blades and the air circulation is exceptionally good in my PC work room which is around 350 square feet. I highly recommend this fan based on my experience using it.

Installed this fan over the weekend and so far it's been working great with no problems.
The fan wasn't too hard to install compared to your average ceiling fan, so if you have some previous experience you shouldn't have any issues. The only problems I really had were just getting the screws into the tighter spaces, especially the fan blades. The instructions were good and easy to follow.
The bulbs included with the light are nice and bright (only one is installed in the photo) and the glass shades are very nice. The fan REALLY pushes air at the highest setting. In a bedroom it can easily push air around the entire room with no problem. The blades are reversible, both sides are very nice and would come down to personal preference. It has the switch to reverse the air flow during the winter as well. If you need a good ceiling fan for a bedroom I'd say this is a good choice!
Here, There, & Everywhere
My husband installed this ceiling fan/light, in our son's room, and said it was fairly straightforward. He has installed various fans/light fixtures throughout the years and has quite a bit of experience in doing so. He also has done electrical work. If you're not comfortable doing electrical wiring, then have someone else install it.
We chose the flush mount option. He did have some trouble w/1 of the screws not wanting to thread properly into the mount piece that goes against the ceiling. He finally got it in, but it still did not go in as far as it should have.
The fans blades have 2 color options; white or a grey oak design. We chose the grey oak because my son's room has grey carpeting and it went well w/that. The blades get installed by pushing these clips through and then rotating them to lock the blades in place. Unfortunately this part was more irritating than need be because the clips didn't line up as well as they should and some of them really had to be forced in. My husband said they should have stamped the blades better or stuck with the traditional screw/washers that most other ceiling fans use.
There are included light bulbs, but you can use whatever you like because this fixture takes a standard size E26 base bulb.
The glass domes are frosted, so this will inhibit the light slightly but it's fine in a bedroom.
The fan is quiet and it moves the air quite nicely w/the 5 blades. Our son's room is about 10' x 10' in size, so the 44" blades are perfect for his size room.
There are included wooden handle pulls that are painted white, but we opted to use our old chain pulls from the fan that we took down.
Overall this is an OK fan. It's definitely quite and is a good size for a kid's bedroom. The overall quality is OK, but it's definitely not high end.

I got this Portage Bay ceiling fan to install in the kitchen. It was packed very well and protected in transit. I liked the “gray oak” finish on the blades, since it gives a farmhouse feel; but they can easily be reversed to display the walnut finish. Assembly and installation took less than 25 minutes. There are 3 lights with a standard E26 bulb base; bulbs are included. Operation is quiet and works well. Good value!

This is very easy to install. The blade has two colors, Walnut and Dark Brown, so I can choose it. Great workmanship. I can tell they used very good quality material for this ceiling fan. And, it is a very quiet fan. I could not stand if the fan is loud, but it is very quiet and it does not bother me at all. My living room is about 375 square feet, and it is a really good fit and the right size. Three traditional bulbs are included, but I rather want to use LED lights instead to save my electric bill. Overall very satisfy and Highly recommend!!!
