Amazing amp, I enjoy it a lot, you can even use it as a rig interface for Guitar Rig or other sound modeling PC Software. Very good for practicing.

Apenas ayer lo recibí y es una locura total, super dinámico, gran sonido, se ve que tiene una curva de aprendizaje empinada pero vale la pena, el tamano es ideal para ensayar solo o en lugares pequeños, es una total diversión tenerlo

You need this. As a musician, this amp holds up with the best of them. Love using the app to jam and change the sounds. Speakers sounds nice, easy Bluetooth connection, small size and portable, fun to use!

Arrived on time, but the grille of the amp seemed damaged. It has several bubbles in the grille. Amp works as expected though. Other than the grille, the over all construction seems great.

The amp is lit, does not come with battery, but the battery is worth it👍

It's very annoying that when you see the Spark 2 on the Positive Grid website, it shows that it has a battery, but when you buy the product the surprise is that the battery is not included, honestly, it seems like a bit of a deception to me or they should clearly specify that the battery is not included, which seems silly to me because nobody buys a device without a battery... I'm very disappointed!

I had like a 12 pedals and a Fender Hotrod amp, sold all those and bought this one.
It's fantastic, easy to play, easy to get the best tones through the AI option, easy to make loops, other songs, in brief, exactly as all YouTube reviews says.
My two regrets:
1. If you use the two 1/4th outputs, the speakers mute and I wanted to used it to connect it into my audio interface but the internal USB interface is good enough to record into a DAW like Ableton. SOLVED!! In the last App version, there is a possibility to mute or un mute the speakers when the two 1/4 outputs are in use. Fantastic.
2. I spent some time making a nice loop BUT there is no an option to save the loops in a library to use them later...
I also bought this wireless guitar audio system, very good price and works perfect. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic! They fixed a lot of the issues I had with some of the other spark amps. The biggest issue for me was getting rid of the (dumb) headphone jack lineout(headphone jack is still there for headphones) Theres two quarter inch jack out ports on the back! They put a looper on this one(used with app) and they fixed the sound issues from the spark 40. 8 presets capable. However, I only use 4 presets because my foot pedal(Airstep) only works with 4 presets. Works great though!! I'm extremely happy with it!! I got the white pearl one! It's gorgeous too :)

I was really looking forward to checking out this amp and find it quite impressive. There are quite a selection of modeling amps out there in this price range. They come with tons of effects, simulate a wide variety of amps, and some of them sound pretty good. This one sounds really good but there are some great extras that come along with it.
Imagine showing up to a gig with your guitar in a gig bag hanging on one shoulder and an amp about the size of a 12 pack of beer, but lighter, in the other hand. You go to setup and you don't have to hunt for an outlet or extension chord to plug into, you don't care where the power is. You put the amp down, turn it on, take a six button pedal out of your gig bag, turn the pedal on and press the pair button on the amp. Maybe you use a guitar chort to connect to the amp or a wireless system, whatever you use you set that up and you're ready to go. The amp is running on a rechargeable battery, the pedal controller for the amp has a rechargeable battery, and it connects to the amp via bluetooth. Welcome to electric guitar without cables. The battery for the amp and the blu tooth pedal are add-ons, but well worth the investment.
The Spark app on your mobile device allows you to visually modify the settings on the amp. You can also just tell it the sound you're looking for and it will give you presets to load on to the amp. You can ask for things like:
"give me a clean sound with just a little crunch to it and a dotted eighth note delay at 120 bpm"
"create a guitar sound to simulate the sound of the first Van Halen album"
"get the guitar sound of the band Maneskin on the song Baby Said"
The AI will interpret what you're looking for and create four presets to match your request. You can try them and then save them to the amp or tell it how to modify further.
If you need to play along to the song you can pair your mobile device or other music player to the amp and play along. The amp gives you separate volumes for the music and the guitar to help you balance them.
Perhaps you need some lessons, or some AI jam partners. You can get all of those in the app. Tell it what you want to learn or select from the lessons available. You can also pick a style of music and select the musicians to play along with you. Give it a chord progression or maybe just ask for a 12 bar blues. Select drums, bass, keys, etc. and start the jam.
It's a lot of fun to use, incredibly powerful for such a small compact amp, and a great tool for practicing. While you can use it for a small gig, it doesn't quite have enough power to play along with a rock drummer unless you found one who can control their volume. However you can get an add-on cabinet which will give you the power to jam with a rock band, or plug it into the PA.
The canned presets sound pretty good but tend to have a little too much reverb for my taste, especially when playing with others. I turn the reverb way down or off when using those. This amp is an all around great investment and you'll have a blast playing with it.

I use this little amp along with the spark powered speaker cabinet, purchased separately, for my guitar repair bench. It works amazingly for what I need with a wide range of applications to sample each guitar when I finish them.

Nightmare connection issues paired with so many bugs from the app. I'm a tech nerd, but even I can't deal with these annoyances. I have to factory reset the amp just to get it to connect to my phone, then after initial connection it won't pair again. It feels like this was released way too soon. Way too many issues and so difficult to use. I will be returning mine.

I have been on a musical hiatus for the last few years. Just picked up the Spark 2 and a guitar to get back into playing again. The sounds that come out of this little amp are amazing. Always looking forward to playing now. I love how you can search for tones, and save them to your favorites. This little amp actually chugs with the Pantera tone I found! Great job, Positive Grid!

I got this Spark 2 guitar practice amp from Positive Grid. I got it for 2 reasons. I have been using it a little bit for bass guitar and my son plays his electric guitar on it.
The sound is impressive. I am thoroughly pleased with the quality. It's great for me to play along with a recording from my phone via bluetooth. My son loves playing with the effects.
We haven't played with the app much, but it looks to add a bunch more fun to his practicing.
I'm not sure if it's worth the retail price. It seems a little expensive to me. I do like how it sounds--just not sure I would invest that much into a practice amp.

I am so in love with the Spark 50-Watt Amp! It delivers an exceptional audio experience, combining power, versatility, and cutting-edge technology to enhance your music creation and practice sessions. This makes a great gift for any guitar player. not only is is great for practice, it offers the ability to gig anywhere with the purchase of the optional battery.
It was very intuitive how to set up the amp and connect to my Acoustic-electric Martin D10. The sound clarity wowed me - I honestly think it makes me sound better than I am, which gives me the confidence to practice more. With 50 watts of rich, detailed sound, this amp offers outstanding clarity and depth, making it ideal for guitarists of all levels.
One of its standout features is the Creative Groove Looper, which includes hundreds of drum patterns to jam along with, offering endless possibilities for experimentation and creativity. Whether you're composing or practicing, this looper adds a dynamic, band-like feel to your sessions. It took some time messing around with the app to figure things out, but it is the first time Ive played with backing tracks so it will definitely take time to get used to.
If you're unsure of where to start, the Spark AI feature allows you to simply describe your desired tone, and it will intelligently suggest tones to match, making it easier than ever to find your unique sound. The amp also boasts exclusive HD amp models that provide an authentic and diverse tonal palette, perfect for dialing in the exact sound you’re looking for.
For portability, the option to use a separate battery offers up to 12 hours of playtime, giving you the freedom to take the amp anywhere without worrying about power outlets.
Overall, the Spark 50-Watt Amp is a powerhouse of sound and innovation, packed with features that cater to both seasoned musicians and beginners. It’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to elevate their music practice, composition, or performance with ease and precision. Highly recommended!

Sounds good! App works good, it is perfect for jamming and practice.
Why 4 stars? Drum loops are meh..
And I wish there was more pedal options, such as an octave pedal.
It is a beautiful looking amp as well.

I had seen the Steve Vai and Nuno Bettencourt ads for the Spark 2 and was quite impressed that this seemingly newer company had been able to attract such name players. After recently moving and having had to sell off a bunch of old equipment, I was in the market for a new practice amp. Given the chance to try out this Spark 2, I didn't hesitate at all.
This amp is simply the coolest practice amp I've ever seen in my life... there is literally not a single weak point!
First off, you may think that with it being nut much bigger than an old fashioned lunch box that it wouldn't have much power. But this amp really kicks. It puts some of those bigger name brands to shame in terms of its sheer volume.
There is a built in looper that runs off of three buttons on the top. And the tempo tap button doubles up to turn on an on-board guitar tuner that uses the lights for the looper buttons to identify flat, sharp, and in-tune. And even better, the tuner automatically connects to the phone app so you can see what notes you are tuning in.
The amps range in terms of sound options is off the chart stupendous! The app that they provide lets you basically recreate any sound you could possibly want. And you can download or setup new rigs left, right, and center at your whim.
I downloaded a mixture of acoustic, experimental, straight up rock, and tones emulating major artists like Vai, David Gilmour, and Iron Maiden, and each one sounded exactly as you would expect! And with the added power backing up the sounds, you really cannot think of an artists rig that you can't reproduce with enough patience.
The video I've attached to this review really demonstrates a good cross section of what the amp can do. But on top of the endless sounds you can pull off, the app also provide the ability to download songs by some artists with the tones for those specific songs as well as tablature that plays alongside. So, you can not only replicate the songs, you can learn them at the same time!
Honestly, I can't write a glowing enough of a review for this amp. It is simply the best practice amp I've ever owned and I know that I am going to get a ridiculous amount of use out of it. If you liked what you have seen on their ads, then you will not be disappointed at what Positive Grid has pulled off with the Spark 2.

I have a complete music studio with guitars, keys, pedals, etc., but sometimes you just want to plug in and play, without having to set everything up. This little amp is perfect for that purpose, as well as a practice amp. But it is also a lot of fun to play around with the capabilities this amp has, with the available app. Actually, too many capabilities to thoroughly review in a quick article. So I will focus on what I like and dislike.
I really like that you have a master volume as well as a guitar volume, and a music volume for playing songs through the app. That makes it very easy to match volumes if you want to play along or jam to a track.
I just love the way they designed the speakers. It sounds like the amp is a lot fuller, and has a larger sound field, and more dimensional when compared to my other amps.
I like the size and dimensions of this amp. Weight is good too. And the battery option is great.
Now for the sound, which is pretty subjective. Generally, I think the sound of this amp is pretty darn good. You have 8 preset positions, which you can change any way you want manually using the knobs on the top. Or you can use the app where you have 33 different amps and 40+ different effects you can program into any of the presets. However, there are some issues that I noticed as I played around with all the options. When using several of the drive options as well as several of the high gain amps you get a breakup of the sound if you hold your note or chord very long. The same thing happens on my Boss SY-1000 Synthesizer as the signal strength from my guitar drops. Maybe IR issues? Don't know the answer other than build your presets with the amps and effects that don't have that issue.
The app is necessary if you want to unlock all the options that exist with the amp. But it still needs work as it is buggy.
When all is considered, I feel this is a great little amp with a huge fun factor when using the app. I just wish I had one of these when I started playing back in the 60's.

This small suitcase style compact amp has just about everything a guitarist will ever want. It is light, about the size of large loaf of bread and comes with a carrying strap. The pleasing aesthetics are a result of great design.
The 50 watts of power provide adequate volume for practice with bandmates, playing with acoustic drum kits and performances at small gigs.
It comes with 8 preset tones that can be customized. There are almost endless available presets and tones are available when using the Spark app.
With the 50 watts of power, the new Spark 2 brings a pair of improved 4 inch speakers and a cabinet with responsive bass reflex porting. The overall sound is truly impressive and lifelike.
The stereo reverb and delays deliver a superb depth of tone due to the slightly angled out speakers.
The amp includes an intuitive - super accurate on-board tuner.
The Spark application has an Artificial Intelligence feature to help find a specific guitar sound. The app does need some small improvements.
There are a several very cool available add-ons.
One is a battery pack that delivers enough power to rock anywhere for several hours.
The second is a bluetooth foot pedal that even has an expression pedal function.
It would be easy to go on and on…
With the Spark 2, I could not have more fun with a practice amp.
This is truly the most amazing portable amp on the market.\

I was in the market for a new amp to practice with because my current setup was cumbersome and dated. I am a beginner to intermediate guitar player for reference.
The first thing I noticed was the striking look of this amplifier. I love the white color, gold trim accents, as well as the deep red of the handle's underside. It looks great and the Mrs. approves when I have this sitting on the desk or table.
During my first setup I knew this would be a much more enjoyable experience than my previous, dated amp and my Zoom digital effects pedal. The 8 built-in guitar tones are great and I found myself chugging in Drop-D for an hour before I even connected the phone app.
Holy cow does this little amp pack a punch! I don't know how loud this gets because I'm sure my neighbors would complain if I went past half volume on it.
I use YouTube all the time for guitar tutorials as well as backing tracks. I appreciate being able to play the lessons through the speakers and hearing my guitar at the same time. Yeah, you can also use this as a bluetooth speaker and it sounds great. If you want there is an option for a battery. There is a door on the bottom of the amp for the proprietary battery (sold separately). You can take this thing tailgating with music or play some sick riffs anywhere you want.
The accompanying app will allow you to configure new guitar tones and set them as one of the 8 guitar tones. There is also a built-in looper that I know was missing on the 1st version of the spark. It works like it should.
Finally, there is the option for expansion with the built-in outputs on the back. When I become a rock star, I will be able to tap into the venue's sound system or a larger amp and still use the Spark 2 as my guitar effects pedal.
Overall, I have really enjoyed this amp and I have practiced more in the past week than I have in years due the ease of set-up and bluetooth connectivity. I know I have barely scratched the surface on this amazing little amp and I'll try to post an update in 6 months to a year.
In the meantime, keep rockin'.

I haven’t owned a solid state modeling amp in years. I had a huge 100w 1st gen Line 6 spider probably 20 years ago, which was loud and cool but I always considered myself to be a tube amp purist and have played on this ever since. Given the tech advances in this time period, I decided to give the Spark 2 a go to see how the technology has changed. Needless to say I am blown away!!
Without the app, the presets sound pretty solid and the amp itself is much louder than I thought it’d be considering its size! I had to simmer it down a bit playing around as it was starting to shake my walls! The built in reverb and delay are nice. But the on board looper is really awesome! Fairly intuitive to get it going, it’s an awesome feature.
Now where this thing really shines is when you connect it to the app. This platform, combined with the iOS app is crazy awesome! The amount of amps, pedals, EQ, and sounds that are available is really impressive. It’s almost a bit overwhelming how many options there are. It almost feels like the sky is the limit. I was able to find a British model that is really close to my Vox tube. The AI search feature is nice to, where you can describe the type of sound you want and will dig through the database for you.
Physically, the fit and finish of this thing is really nice. The gold accents are great. Also for how loud this thing is, it’s super small and portable. Easy to carry around and set up.
I am overall really impressed with this thing! This is my first foray into the Positive Grid amps and I am super blown away!
