Headphones that have great style and work very well for the cost.

The comfort on these headphones are just okay there are definitely other ones out there that have a more premium feel and will feel better over an extended game. But for the price of these the comfort is actually really good. The value is what I was looking for also because these look very nice aesthetically in person and the color and the design is excellent. The microphone and sound quality also are a great addition to these headphones it works great.

Decent headphones

These headphones are great for their price point. They are good for kids or casual use, but are not high end. They are attractive and comfortable, and they do work well, although they aren't the most durable and the sound quality is decent, but to someone who is really picky, it might not make the cut. They are cute, the cord is plenty long, and they are comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time while gaming. They come with a flip down mic, which works pretty well.

Cute decent headset

I’ve been using the LucidSound LS10X Gen 2 for a bit now, and it is such a solid, budget-friendly choice. Plus, it looks absolutely adorable on my desk! The design is super cute and fun, making it a stylish addition to my wifes gaming setup.

Build & Comfort: It feels pretty sturdy. My favorite feature is the fabric ear cups. They avoid that cheap fake leather that always flakes off after a few months. These feel breathable, comfy, and look great during long sessions.

Sound & Mic: The audio quality is good and clear. It is not audiophile-level, but it handles everything nicely. The passive noise-canceling blocks out background distractions well. The mic gets the job done perfectly for voice chat. I love the flip-to-mute feature—it is super convenient and works flawlessly. Also being able to turn the outside of the ear cup to change the volume is a nice feature.

Overall: This is a dependable, well-built wired headset. It is the perfect mix of fun aesthetics and practical performance without any unnecessary fluff!

LucidSound by PowerA LS10 Wired Gaming Headset

I spent several hours using this headset for gaming, YouTube videos, and general audio, and overall I came away with a positive impression.

The sound quality is better than I initially expected. While it does not deliver the same level of depth and richness as some higher-end gaming headsets I own, it still provides clear audio for gaming, videos, music, and everyday use. Game sounds were easy to follow, and everything sounded balanced during testing.

The headset is lightweight and comfortable. I wore it for about two and a half hours without experiencing ear pain or excessive pressure from the earcups. One of my favorite features is the retractable microphone, which slides neatly into the left earcup when not in use, giving the headset a clean and discreet appearance.

I also tested the microphone by recording audio on my PC. Voice quality sounded clear and easy to understand during playback. I have not used it extensively for in-game voice chat yet, but the recording test produced good results.

The built-in controls worked as expected. The rotating volume control is easy to use while wearing the headset, and the media controls successfully handled play, pause, and track skipping during testing.

My main criticism is the headband. The top section has very little cushioning and relies mostly on a firm plastic structure. It was not uncomfortable during my testing, but people who wear headsets for many hours at a time may notice the pressure on the top of their head more than they would with heavily padded premium models.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this headset uses a standard 3.5 mm audio connection. It works well with PCs, consoles, and other devices that include a headphone jack. Modern phones that only have USB-C ports will likely require an adapter.

Overall, for around $30, I think this headset offers good value. It may not compete with premium models that cost significantly more, but it provides solid sound quality, a clear microphone, useful controls, and comfortable everyday performance.

A good headset with nice sound

I’ve been using this headset for casual gaming on both console and PC, and it offers a good balance of comfort and sound quality for the price. The audio is clear and detailed enough to pick up footsteps, background effects, and in-game directional cues, which makes it enjoyable for both competitive and story-driven games.

One thing I noticed right away is how lightweight it feels. Even during longer gaming sessions, it remains comfortable, and the breathable ear cushions help prevent the headset from feeling too warm. As someone who wears glasses, I also found it comfortable without creating too much pressure around the ears.

The on-ear controls are convenient because I can quickly adjust the volume or mute the microphone without searching for buttons on a cable. The flip-to-mute mic works exactly as expected and is handy when jumping between gaming and regular computer use.

I also like the swiveling earcups, which make it easy to rest the headset around my neck during breaks. The wired connection is simple and reliable, with no battery charging or wireless connectivity issues to worry about.

Fits my daughter perfectly

My 9 year old daughter loves these headphones. They cover her ears without pressing on her earrings. The color is fun. The sound is good. She lies that she can change the volume by twisting the side. She uses them with a laptop.

I have tried them on. They also fit me fine, but I don't have a big head. They are comfortable to wear, but there really is no padding on the top to be soft on your head if you wear them for an extended period of time. As a value set of headphones, they are wonderful. If you are a gamer looking to play for an extended time, I think the lack of padding would become uncomfortable. There is also no way to adjust them for the size of your head. For the price point, I think they are a good value.

Make sure to turn volume up in your console settings not just on the headset

This headset is quite comfortable, and works well.

In a vacuum, not comparing it to anything else this is a decent headset. However, compared to other headsets in a similar price range, I feel there are some really great quality options available for not a ton more money.

Nonetheless, none of them have the same aesthetic as this, so if you just like the way this looks, I feel like the 'rule of cool' is completely valid.

This is a passive headset, meaning it's not powered, So the volume knob is only going to do so much without adjusting the max volume on the device it's plugged into. If you do not adjust your consoles volume settings you're likely going to be limited on how high you can turn the volume up with this headset.

So for example on Xbox you would want to go to settings, devices, controller and audio, hit the three dots, And then adjust the volume. If you don't do that, it's going to be pretty quiet on Xbox even if you turn the volume knob up all the way.

I will say though that once I adjusted the volume settings on the Xbox, this audio came through pretty clear with good volume and didn't sound bad at all especially for a passive headset. I like that the mic tucks away nicely when you're not using it, And over all this functioned just fine for me.

So overall if you like the look, and a passive wired headset is what you're looking for there's nothing wrong with this at all. And it does have a pretty clean look as well.

Fun colors

For the price ($29.99 at the time of this review), these are decent-sounding headphones. Music is enjoyable, though audiophiles will probably complain that the sound isn't as rich as it could be. The bass is acceptable, though not particularly deep. Totally fine for gaming. The pads around the ears are fabric-covered foam and cup your head with enough force to stay on but not feel like vice grips. You can adjust the head band to be longer or shorter.

The microphone folds neatly into the headset so it stays out of the way when not in use. I wasn't able to test how well the microphone worked. My ears did start feeling a little hot after about 30 minutes.

What I didn't like was the squeaking sounds. I was sitting on the couch, wearing these while playing on my Playstation 4. Whenever I moved my head, I would hear some kind of friction squeak within the headphones. I'm not sure what mechanism is rubbing against what, but it was distracting and unpleasant.

On the plus side, I love the fun colors! Very cool looking, like these just came back from a fun vacation in Florida.

Quite a useful setup.

I've not used these for gaming yet... just with my mobile phone, and so far i've gotten plenty of use from them just for casual use.

A mic that mutes when folded away, and an in-line volume control via rotation on one of the cups makes for nice added on features on this particular set of headphones.

They fit me comfortably without having to adjust my strap, and they have pretty decent sound quality as well. Were it not for the whole "comms setup throwing off looks" with these, they could make for a decent budget grade set of headphones for other electronics as well.

Definitely going to see what other products are in this lineup. Gaming headsets have come a long way since I last used a designated set, and I'm very impressed with PowerA on this one.

Good for gaming

I ended up liking this headset more than I expected. For the price, it does a lot right. It’s comfortable enough to wear for long gaming sessions without becoming irritating, the quick controls are easy to use, and the microphone arm feels solid and well made, not flimsy like some budget headsets.

For gaming, it performs really well. Voices come through clearly, sound effects are crisp, and it handles everyday gaming exactly the way most people would want.

For music, it’s decent, though not perfect. The bass is good, mids are clear, and the highs stay fairly crisp without being harsh. The only odd thing is the sound can feel a little distant, almost like you’re hearing the music from down the hall or from the next room over. It’s a strange effect, but not enough to ruin the listening experience, just something noticeable if you spend a lot of time listening to music.

For what it costs, though, this is a solid buy. It feels well made, sounds good where it counts, and checks a lot of boxes without costing a fortune. If you want a good gaming headset at a reasonable price, this one is easy to like.

Good starter headphones for kids - Just Ok quality

These headphones arrived packaged in the retail box. The headphones received look like what was shown in the listing. Please make sure you don’t throw out the loose cardboard pieces when unpacking the headphones. The operating directions are on the backside of a piece of cardboard. We tested these out with our PlayStation. The wire connected into our controller. The speakers do push out some volume. The sound was loud though not the most clear. They just sounded ok. The volume control was easy to use. You just turn the wheel on one of the ear pieces. The microphone is a flip style. So you push the microphone down to talk, flip it back up to mute. This functioned correctly. We couldn’t get a straight answer on the microphone sound quality from other users. One person said we sounded fine, another said we didn’t sound as loud as usual. So like the sound quality, I think the microphone is just ok. The ear pieces are similar quality. They don’t feel as nice as higher end pieces. They did not mute surrounding sounds like higher end sets. They are also not as comfortable. They material has a rough feeling. The breathability is ok. These headphones may work as a good starter pair for kids. The controls are very simple to use. I will update this review if anything changes after further use.

Perfect for a handheld gaming system.

These lucid sound earphones are nice and light weight. When I was wearing them I hardly could tell the were on my ears, but the did make me a little hot almost like I was wearing a visor or a hat. They are not too tight on my ears which I really liked so even if I wore them for a long time, they wouldn’t make my ears sore.

As far as looks they have a fun vibe! I had the ocean breeze color.

These are perfect for a handheld gaming system and I used them with a Nintendo switch and I thought the cord was a perfect length for that. I would have to say if you were using it for another gaming system that is not hand held or connect to the controller, then the cord may not be long enough. I did like the microphone and that it mutes when put up. I didn’t use it for talking yet, but I will update if I do. The sound in the beginning was very soft, but then I saw that I had a sound limits on my switch that was keeping it from going too loud in my ears. When I turned it off, it was a nice level. Not too loud, but loud enough to hear well. If I was in a really noisy environment, it may be hard to hear because these are not sound canceling. The volume is controlled on the left ear (where the microphone is, and you just turn the knob to adjust the volume.

I would say are a good value for the price right now.

No puedo conectarlos a mi celular solo a mi tablet.

Nice quality headset!!!

In the blink of an eye, my order was sitting at my doorstep.

I enjoy gaming from time to time, and so do the kids, so it’s safe to say we’ve used our fair share of headsets in the past.

Opening the package revealed a very nice, high-quality gaming headset. It has a lightweight feel and sits comfortably on the head, feeling light and airy. The ear cups are made of a breathable fabric that helps keep your ears cool. Overall, the construction quality of this headset is on par with many of the bigger-name brands.

Functionally, the headset works exactly as advertised. One of the standout features is its simple design. I especially like the volume dial—it’s easy to use and discreetly built into the headset. In addition, the microphone can be tucked away when not in use. As for sound quality, it’s quite good for a wired set.

Durability? I have no issues with the build quality, and I don’t expect durability to be a concern moving forward. In fact, I believe this headset will last quite some time.

Value? Absolutely.

Would I recommend this to others? Absolutely, yes.

Solid entry-level headset, but cable is too short and earphone button is useless on PC

I wanted an inexpensive headset for a new Windows 11 for casual listening to YouTube videos and the like. LucidSound is well-known for quality headphones so I gave these a try. Overall, the product is fine for an entry-level headset, but keep your expectations in check in terms of sound quality.

POSITIVES:

- The build quality feels solid. Absent abuse, this headset should last a very long time.

- The flip-down mic is designed well and feels sturdy. It’s super-simple to flip up and out of the way, so if you’re only listening, you won’t have to deal with a microphone sticking in front of your face.

- The outside ring of the left-ear headphone is a giant volume knob which makes it very easy to adjust the volume without affecting your computer’s overall system volume.

- Depending on your taste, the color and design are pretty modern and cool-looking (especially for kids).

- The headset is a little tight for an adult-sized head, but it’s comfortable enough and somewhat adjustable.

- The headset is effective at eliminating outside noise.

NEGATIVES:

- Short Cable: The cable is shockingly short — a measly 3.5 feet (a fact which is conspicuously absent in the product description). If you’re using a laptop, tablet, phone or computer that sits on your desk, that length might work for you; however, if your computer is under your desk, don’t bother ordering these headphones without a quality TRRS extension cable because you’ll be stooped over in your chair to keep from pulling the cable out of the audio jack.

- Useless Push Button: The entire center of the left earphone (inside the volume knob) is a push-button. The headphones do not come with any useful instructions, so I needed to do some online sleuthing to figure out what the push-button is supposed to do. On my tower computer, with the mic in the closed position, the push-button doesn’t do anything. With the mic in the open position, the push-button lowers the overall *system volume* (not just the headphone volume) by 2 points with each push; if you want to increase the system volume, you need to open your computer’s Sound Settings and raise the volume (which is only a minor pain, but might not occur to some people). According to Google AI, this is expected behavior for these headphones when connected to a PC (as opposed to a PlayStation or Xbox), and the only way to stop the button from lowering the system volume is to make changes to the Windows registry. No, thanks; it’s easier (and safer) just to avoid pushing the button. That potentially useful — but ultimately useless — push-button was a major disappointment and loses 1 star for a product marketed as a headset for PCs.

- Thin Sound Quality for Music and Video Calls: The sound quality (both listening and speaking) is okay for basic audio, but the sound is pretty little thin and somewhat tinny. It’s fine for YouTube instructional videos, but if you want to listen to your favorite music or have great-sounding video calls, you may be disappointed in the fidelity of both the headphones and the mic. The sound quality is clear enough to be functional, but this is an entry-level headset, so don’t expect too much.

BOTTOM LINE:

At its low price point ($29.99 at time of order), this headset feels well-built and works fine for basic audio; the design and sturdy construction would be especially good for kids. The product would merit 5 stars if (1) the cable were longer and (2) the button on the left earphone did anything useful rather than (annoyingly) lowering your computer’s system volume.

4 stars.

Pretty good sound quality but very mediocre mic.

I'll get right to the point and say that for the price, I do think these are really nice. They are comfortable and sound pretty good. That said the mic does not sound the best to other players, but it works and I like how it flips up and out of the way. Other than that, I have no complaints. It is a nice budget friendly headset.

Great headset at this price

These gaming headphones sound pretty good for the price. I also like the color scheme, i feel it’s neutral but gives off a Miami-ish vibe.

The audio is great for this price. I’ve always had higher end headsets and these are great for the price. I did notice directional queues

weren’t as great as other headsets I’ve used, but these are about 10% of the cost as those other ones, so the difference is quite large. Still… great for the price.

The headset is light weight and comfortable to wear. Also these are compatible with anything with an audio jack.

For the price, these are hard to beat in my opinion.

Nice headset for relaxed gaming

I needed a new headset for gaming and got these to try out. To note, when I got my headset delivered, I opened it to find the silicone package had opened during shipping. The silicone got everywhere. There is a volume adjuster on the side of the headset that got silicone in it and it still works. I was surprised but it just goes to show how well made it is. The headset feels very well made. It’s a bit light and when I wear it, it throughs me off since my other headsets are so heavy in comparison, which is nice. It can adjust to the size needed and the ear pieces have a nice feel and don’t hurt my ears. The ear pieces can swivel as well. I didn’t know if I was going to like the color but I’m really working up to it. The designed look is pretty good. I had a few things I didn’t think were the best but I could live with. 1. The audio quality is not bad but if you’re used to super high end audio devices, you’ll very much notice. 2. The mic is about the same, it works and sounds good but it’s not going to be some kind of streamer mic. 3. Volume control didn’t go up very high. I did think about this one for a bit and I’m on the fence if this is a negative or not. I can let my youngest use the headset and not worry about hit blasting his ears off, which is good but I’d like it to get a bit higher for me. As a point, it does get loud and you’ll be able to hear just fine but it just it not hitting that point that feels more comfortable. It could just be the audio quality. My over all thoughts, this is a great headset for how much it costs and it is nice to have for gaming. If you plan on using this for a PC though, you’ll need an aux splitter plus extension. The cable is short.

Stylish, comfortable, economical headphones with great sound.

These headphones are not only stylish but they have great sound! The fit is snug without being uncomfortable. The band can tighten or loosen as needed, so these could be used for a child, but they comfortably fit a woman with a larger head. I haven’t tested the quality of the microphone, but the sound is nice! The foam on the headphones blocks a lot of the outside noise, which is helpful for concentrating. The side of the headphones acts as a button to easily start and stop music/video. Overall, these are pretty impressive compared to the cost. A couple points worth mentioning, the snug fit may not be ideal if you wear glasses, and the cord is long enough to reach my computer, but isn’t a long cord.

Improvements in all the wrong places. That look is a vibe, though.

I owned the original LS10. A couple in fact. I found out about LucidSound through some friends years ago, so I checked them out, and for the most part, thought they were a decent pair of budget headsets except for one thing. The mic quality was mediocre and inconsistent at best. Between all the cutting in and out and complaints from my teammates asking me to speak up, I ended up moving on. Fast forward, I hate to say it, but so far I'm having the same experience with these.

Let me be clear, the mic gets the job done, but I have owned plenty of budget headsets, and I have never seen others or myself have as many complaints regarding the mic quality as on the LS10's. The headset itself is comfortable and the sound quality is as good as any budget inspired one out there. In fact, I'm enjoying the overall redesign from the lightweight headband to the breathable ear pads. Even the side button and volume knob feel better than I remember(they felt cheap and flimsy before). I just don't understand why the mic on these have been so consistently mediocre over the years.

In all, for the price, these are good enough. Everything works as advertised as long as you know what device you are using these with and understand the different and sometimes limited functionality depending on that device. I should note, I'm on PC and I use an actual mic separate from my main headset, so the quality I'm used to when it comes to my own voice coming through clear to my teammates is above what these $30 LS10's are gonna provide anyway. It should be better than it is, though. I wanna say, I got the Midnight Surf color variant. I'm digging the Ocean Waves one listed here, too, and I'm considering it. So despite my one obvious gripe, the look on these are on a whole other level than the $30 headsets I used to buy, and the 80s/Miami Vice vibe is certainly welcome.

Gorgeous Headphones, Good for Gaming, Okay for music, Great Price!

These are really good looking headphones - that's not something I'm generally looking for, but they knocked that aspect out of the park! Imagine if you will, a set of headphones that adds to your decor rather than being an unsightly, oversized piece of clutter :D

Here are some pros/cons

- As mentioned, they really are nice looking phones!!

- They are very, very comfortable, though a touch warm

- The seal around the ears is really good

- Friends report that the microphone sounds good - neither too quiet nor too loud, not crystal clear, but not muddy either. Just adequate!

- Gaming sound is reasonably good, I'd say when contrasted with the price ($29 at the time of this review), it's very good

- The connections seem of reasonable quality - I don't sense that they will break provided they are treated with care

- I LOVE the volume implementation - it's so much easier than fishing around for a little control on the wire

- The wire length is excellent for a gaming controller connection, but could be short for PC gamers connecting to a workstation, depending on placement.

- They fold flat, but not "in a ball". EG the headphone cups rotate 90 degrees to lie flat, but they can't be rotated up into the headband to reduce size like some more expensive options do.

- The mic boom is short, and folds up really nicely into the cup. I appreciate the short boom - less chance if incidental contact when reaching for the volume.

- The flip-up to mute function is a nice touch too.

For music, they are just okay. They sound a little distant in a weird sort of way. The bass response is good, not great. The mids are clear, the highs have a tiny bit of essing, but certainly not unreasonable. For the price, I'd say they are very good, just don't expect to get the audio precision of a $100 dollar pair and you'll likely be very happy

Overall, I think this is a really solid value. They check a lot of boxes, perform well for gaming and provide a reasonable listening experience for music. I think the price-point is perfect; if they were $50 or more, I'd probably be more critical, but all things being equal, they are an excellent value. If any of that proves untrue over time, particularly the durability of the headphones or speakers, I'll be sure to revise this review!

Reggie

Looks cool, downgrade from the original LS10

My biggest gripe with these is LucidSound (PowerA) misleadingly using the LS10 name when these are actually a cost-cut downgrade from the original LS10. You lose stuff like the faux leather memory foam earpads, the adjustable boom mic, the nicely padded top of the head band, etc.

That aside, they’re decent headphones on a budget. The mix could definitely be better and the sound quality falls firmly into the “fine, I guess” category. If you’re just playing Fortnite or whatever and want the sound close to your ears so you’ll hear footsteps, then yeah, these will do the job. If you’re playing big cinematic experience single player games, you’ll probably want something a bit more premium.

Comfortable, Straightforward Gaming Headset with a Few Compatibility Limitations

This headset delivers a solid, no-frills experience, but there are a couple of important compatibility details to be aware of. While it’s marketed for use across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and mobile devices, the 3 ft cable length is best suited for connecting to a controller rather than a desktop setup. It may be limiting if your audio jack is located on the back of a PC. It also uses a standard 3.5mm connector, which may require an adapter for some mobile devices.

Comfort is a standout feature. Over-ear headsets can often become uncomfortable during longer sessions, but this one is surprisingly easy to wear. The cloth-covered ear cushions improve breathability and help reduce heat buildup compared to faux leather designs. The ear cups provide a modest level of passive noise isolation, though there is no active noise cancellation.

Audio quality is well-tuned for gaming, with clear sound that works well for in-game effects and communication. The controls are simple and intuitive—volume and mic adjustments are easy to access without fumbling. The flip-to-mute boom mic is a convenient feature and worked consistently during use.

Build quality is lightweight and straightforward. It doesn’t feel premium, but it’s appropriately constructed for its price range and holds up well under normal use.

Overall, this is a comfortable and easy-to-use wired headset that performs reliably for gaming, with the main drawbacks being the short cable and limited plug-and-play compatibility with some devices.
