Perfect drop in DIY plug and play. Good sound. Maverick 2022

Perfect fit 2022 Maverick FX4. Cut small groove for wire harness but not really needed. Good sound from factory radio now. Oem speakers distorted a little too much for my audio tastes. Recommend if you just want a little more highs and not muddy bass.

Will be returning.

I installed the PowerBass OEM component and coaxial upgrades in my 2026 F-150 expecting a noticeable improvement over the factory speakers. The fit and installation were good, but I was honestly disappointed with the sound quality. The overall sound is somewhat muddy, and the speakers lack the clarity and detail I was hoping for, especially in the mids and highs. They can get reasonably loud, but louder doesn’t necessarily mean better.

For the price, I expected a cleaner,, punchier, and more balanced sound. They’re an improvement in some areas, but not the upgrade I was hoping for. I’d probably look at the kicker KS series if sound quality, bass, and clarity are the main priorities.

La Calidad Sonora es Abismal al instalarlas..! 🎶

🤌🏿💡🙏🏿⏳✌🏿🎱🧠🎧👁️

Huge upgrade without losing the factory look

We installed the PowerBass OEM replacement speakers in our 2019 F-150, and honestly, this is one of the best upgrades we’ve done to the truck.

We didn’t want to go crazy with amps, rewiring, or tearing the whole system apart—we just wanted better sound while keeping everything clean and factory-looking. These speakers absolutely delivered on that.

Noticeable Sound Improvement Right Away

The difference compared to the stock speakers was immediate. The factory speakers always sounded a little flat and muddy, especially at higher volumes. With the PowerBass setup, everything is clearer and more defined.

Vocals are crisp and easier to hear

Highs are much cleaner thanks to the silk dome tweeters

Bass is tighter and more controlled (not overwhelming, but way better than stock)

The materials they use—like the injection-molded cones and proper tweeters—really help bring the system to life without distortion .

True Plug-and-Play Install (Big Win)

One of the biggest reasons we went with PowerBass was the OEM direct-fit design, and it did not disappoint.

No cutting wires

No drilling

No weird modifications

They come with factory plug-and-play adapters, so everything just connects right up and fits like it came from the factory .

Install was straightforward and didn’t take long at all, even doing multiple doors.

Perfect for Stock Head Unit Users

If you’re still running the factory radio (like we are), these are ideal. They’re designed to work with OEM systems, so you don’t need an amp to get good results.

Power handling around 60–80 watts RMS depending on the model is right in that sweet spot for factory systems .

Clean Factory Look, No Attention Drawn

Another thing we really liked—once installed, you’d never even know they’re aftermarket.

No flashy colors, no weird fitment issues—just a clean, stock appearance with way better performance behind the scenes.

What We Loved Most

Massive improvement over stock sound

Super easy install (true plug-and-play)

No need for amps or extra equipment

Clean OEM look

Great balance of clarity and bass

Only Minor Consideration

If you’re someone who wants deep, booming bass, you’ll still want a subwoofer. These improve bass a lot over stock, but they’re not meant to replace a full sub setup.

If you’ve got a 2019 F-150 and you’re tired of the weak factory audio but don’t want a complicated install, these are honestly a no-brainer.

They hit that perfect middle ground—easy upgrade, factory fit, and a big improvement in sound quality without going overboard.

We’d 100% buy them again.

Great!

Great fit, and great sound. This was a great plug and play fit to the original OEM paper speakers. The wires need to be pushed tight, but once that click sound happens, you can be sure it’s sturdy.

Fits my 2017 Ford Explorer, perfectly!!!

Very simple to install, plug-in play ready. One of the original rear speakers busted and sounded horrible. Now we’re back to great sound. I don’t think it sounds much better than the originals, but the quality of construction is significantly better. I would absolutely buy these versus purchasing new Ford OME speakers. Definitely recommend them !!!!

Does NOT fit Ford Mustang convertible 2018+

Disappointed that I am having to return these. They do not drop into the factory open as they claim to for this vehicle.

Plug-and-play solution for replacing factory speakers in 23 F150 Lightning

These speakers sound so much better than the ones from the factory and plug-and-play made installation a breeze. Ive included a comparison pic with these beside the factory speakers.

easy drop in's for bronco sport, satisfactory sound improvement

Bronco Sport upgrade:

pretty easy to install in all four doors, door panel removal has some tricks to it but look online for tips/videos and take your time, no additional parts/kits required.

I installed these on the driver side first, then I compared to the stock speakers (L/R fade) with a few different genre's of music from hip hop, hard rock and Jazz.. they handle all frequencies very well and are a night/day difference from the stock speakers.

AWESOME TIP:

Fords Sync 3 EQ frequency range is pure trash, adjust it the best you can and look for an EQ app that you can download to your phone.. if your phone doesn't already have an EQ built into it.

**If you have an android (mine is a galaxy S20+, see my pic) you can go into the sound settings on the phone, customize the EQ and it will be applied to all of the streaming apps on your phone!

**I use the Rocket Player app for music on my SD card, Pandora and Audacy (radio/talk shows) for streaming... there is a HUGE difference in the frequency range from my phone/streaming apps vs the radio on the Sync 3 deck. ...no idea about Apple or other brand Android devices, just play around I guess?

Great upgrade, but…

From what come stock, this is a great upgrade. Works well with factory power, but you can tell you still can add power if you want. After couple of hours of play the bass came out better.

My wife came home today 6/24/24 to let me know her speaker soda like it’s going out. Sure is and since there is no protection plan I’m hoping powerbass will take care of me. Here’s to waiting for a response.

Worth it

Very easy to install—direct plug and play for my 2014 Ford Fusion. The difference between the factory speaker and the new set are night and day. Sound quality is good and worth the money for an easy and quick upgrade.

Much better!

2017 Mustang GT Premium coupe. Not an audio person but wanted an upgrade since one speaker went bad. Direct fit in door so simple. Needed to use the harness extensions since the new speaker's didn't fit with original connector that goes into the speaker. Still easy installation and better than OEM.

Fits and works perfectly in my 2014 Fusion Hybrid

Two weeks ago, I notice that the bass portions of my music was sounding terrible as if the door speakers were loose (I had this symptom before in a previous auto). So I suspected that the door speakers were bad, and I ordered this set because it is a direct replacement for the factory original 6.5 inch speakers.

The set arrive Monday, January 8th, and I planned the replacing job today January 12th. The Ford factory service manual explained how to remove the window control panel in the armrest, and on another page how to remove the inner door panel.

I did the driver door first. Afer the panel removal, the factory speaker was seen to have lost its foam suspension ring, and pieces of that foam fell onto the floor. That was the cause of the "loose" sound.

Three 7mm screws held the original speaker, plus a cable connector that needed a hard press to release. The new speaker is heavier with a larger magnet but it fits perfectly. I did note that the original speaker has three guide pins that fits three holes in the steel panel, but the new speaker does not have them. Yet when tightening the three screws, the speaker aligned itself. The connector must be pushed in with some force, but it holds in well. The picture shows the new speaker in place.

After doing an audio test to hear some music and confirm that the speaker is functional, I did the passenger side next. Confirming that both speakers were functional, I replaced the door panels and did a final test with some "disco" music. That was the test that certified the speaker replacement.

If you are not experienced with door panel removal for your vehicle, I recommend getting help or going to an audio shop for the labor. But I can certainly state here thst these speakers are the correct replacement for almost all Ford vehicles.

Needs a Slight Trim for Mustang Conv Rear Speakers, Sound Great

My 2016 Mustang convertible rear speakers needed replacement. I do not post reviews much but wanted to share this with any other Mustang owners looking for replacement. I had to cut the speaker bracket on two of the screw locations in order for them to fit in the frame. The plug and play is a tight fit but they sure will stay connected. My side panels were not as difficult as I thought to access the speakers for replacement. There is a great YouTube video on how to do it. As far as sound. Much better than the originals!!! I highly recommend.

Sounds great and perfect fit. Highly recommend.

Direct replacement and a much better power capability than original in 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid. Used same plug as original speaker. Not as hard as I thought to replace. Very pleased.
