Happy Kid

Easy set up and very sturdy! The netting is not cheaply made! Great size for all ages! The carrying bag is great too! Only downfall which isn't a deal breaker, the rubber ball holder on the tee is hard to reshape from being packaged. But it still does it's job.

Softball practice hits

This is a really quality softball set. Easy to move around and set up take down. The dogs got tangled into it and it held up to a wresting match. I would buy it again. @beeing.bailey

Warranty

Why did you pick this product vs others?:

The net works as it should. However, make sure you read the fine print on their “warranty”. The one year warranty that they offer covers the metal base, and the fiberglass rods. Which, if used as they are intended, should last for several years. When it comes to the net however, they only warranty it for 90 days. I have had this for eight months, indoors, and minimal use. It has already broken at both ropes and is now useless. Compare that to a cheap athletic brand that I have had sitting outside in the elements for almost 2 solid years. And all it is is faded. This company does not stand behind their products, under the best conditions of use. The company has agreed to send me a new net, if I pay $20 in shipping. Considering I can get a competitors net for $34 with free shipping, I think I will take my chances with someone else possibly standing behind their product.

Great Product, Worth The Price.

Everything we expected and more. Definitely worth the price and would order again. Just a little disappointed the weighted balls I ordered never shipped due to an error.

Overall good. Tee might have an issue

The package is good. The net is well designed and durable. Great for the price.

After my 3 yr old started using it for a month, the plastic part that holds the tee neck was broken. Now it won’t be able to hold the height and will have to find a replacement.

It suggests a possible issue in the design, as the part is holding against the hitting direction, or simply the quality of the parts is not great.

Good quality

Within a week of purchasing this net and some heavy balls my nephew hit his first homerun. Well worth it!

Very cheap material where it matters most

This product seems to be made in the same factory for many different brands, most of which sell it cheaper. I went with this one because of the more trusted (and actually recognizable) name with the hope that they have a higher quality product spec. I don't know if that's the case, but I've used it once and it was fine.

I was disappointed with the quality of the white loop material in the four corners of the net that connect it to the frame. One of the top loops was already fraying during my initial setup. The bottom loops are connected to bungee cords that connect to the frame, so those loops should last.

The top loops are one of the most critical components of this product and are hooked directly to the fiberglass poles. I would be shocked if this cheap loop material wasn't the first thing to fail. Not only are they under constant tension from the poles, but throwing/hitting baseballs at the net will cause them to rub, and then you have the hooking/unhooking during setup and teardown. It's very disappointing. In addition, these loops are very securely sewn to the netting, so if they fail, the best repair is probably to add a good grommet where the stitching is and fashion a new hook/loop.

buy WITHOUT the tee

Bought this for my 7 year old son to practice at home and we love it.... except for the batting tee. I would suggest if you’re interesting in purchasing this, purchase WITHOUT the tee. The tee can’t even hold the weighted balls it came with, it just bends and the balls fall right off. But assembly is easy and love the bags it comes with, definitely makes it convenient to carry to and from home/practice/park!

Hole in netting after 20 mins of use

After 20-30 mins of use, the netting developed a hole right in the middle. We are returning this for a new one hoping that the one we got was just defected. I like it other than getting a hole in the net after very little use. Will update once the replacement arrives.

** Update ** So the return was painless and the new net system is working as expected. We took it camping with another baseball family and had 4 boys fighting over taking turns hitting into the net. The other boys were asking their dad if they could get one of these. It held up so far so good.

Best net ever!

We’ve had many nets and this by far is the best! Very sturdy and easy to set up. The pocket is a lifesaver when retrieving the balls!!! Love it!!!

Great buy. Both my 5 year old and 11 ...

Great buy. Both my 5 year old and 11 year old are getting use out of this. I never thought we would be able to get in some practice on our tiered, hillside backyard, but here we are.

Setup is easy, once you do it once, subsequent times should be a breeze. It’s just a tad difficult to bow the support/stretch bars to get the top of the net situated if you’re short like me, but I managed to do it.

Both of my boys had a great time hitting into the net and fetching the balls out of the pocket. I can see taking this to practice although I really bought this for home use.

Great combo

Great net /tee combo . The net is very big and great for batting practice. It comes with a handy carrying bag . Set up and breakdown is very easy. My son uses it everyday. He said the only problem he has is that the stabalizing pins pop out of the ground when the ball is hit hard . Great product . Highly recommend

Don’t buy the travel tee. Buy the net separately!

The net deserves a 5-Star rating. However, the travel tee sucks! I could not tighten this screw!

Perfect for backyard baseball batting practice

I bought the power net for my 9year old. He’s in a minor league team and they practice twice a week. We use the power net in all other days to practice his batting skills. The power net with T combo is perfect because we don’t have to find a field to practice. He practices right in the back yard. Set is really easy, once you do it once, the rest of the time will take approx. 5 minutes. The seven feet net is also perfect because he sometimes bats low and the balls can go really high. The seven foot net prevents the balls from flying to the neighbors yard. He loves the T and how easy it is to adjust up or down. I love the carrying bag because all items are stored nicely in the bag in my garage.

The net is amazing, extremely glad I purchased this

The net is amazing, extremely glad I purchased this. The net ca also be set up in my garage with the garage door open, perfect for rainy day batting practice. I have had 50 or more baseballs in the ball holder. I can't ask for much more. 50 pitches to my 8 year old is good, then he collects them and another 50 pitches.

The bad. Day one of using the equipment the zipper pulled off of the net bag. It's not a major issue but is an inconvenience. The batting tee broke on the first round of balls. It's still functional but now adjustments are difficult to make. It is more of a single height batting tee now. This is very dissapointing to me. I wanted to use this for different swing heights and positions on the plate. Now it is not possible.

Defective Strike Zone Attachment - Issued Solved by Powernet

The net and frame itself seem fine, but the included strike zone attachment was defective. It can be seen sold separately here: . The nylon straps that the loops slide on to adjust the strike zone placement were obviously subjected to excessive heat, (probably when heat-shrinking the loops themselves). This made them brittle and one broke when I tried adjusting the size of the strike zone. Both straps show this defect, but the one pictured on the right is much worse than the other. I hope the second one will not have this defect.

Update: changed to 5 star. Powernet sent me another Strike Zone Attachment free of charge.

Worth the money

This net took no time to put together. I supervise my 11 yr old put it together now; he feels like a grown up. He understands why the bottom bar is bent. As far as the caddy, I read reviews about it being crap before I bought it so I was looking forward to checking it out. If you use the caddy properly and handle with care, it was built for the intended use, and it comes with a separate caddy bag. The weighted soft toss balls are money and an excellent training tool so far. The net is nice and big and the pitching box is excellent for working mechanics when you dont have a catcher. Give it a try, the team will work to make you happy if you have a defective product, it happens.

Awesome net!

This net is exactly what my daughter needed to tune up her hitting! Great quality and customer service. One of the bars were slightly damaged in shipment and customer service responded immediately with a replacement. Very cool.

Great baseball (and lacrosse) training tool!

I bought the 7x7 powernet bundle with strike zone and weighted hitting ball for my 8 year old baseball player and 12 year old (beginner) Lacrosse player. I don't have a lot of room in my yard so I needed something so we didn't have to chase ball when we work on the tee or if my lacrosse player needs to practice some shooting/passing. The quality is very good, Very sturdy. The setup out of the box was easy. Now that I know it it takes a minute to get it ready. I coach baseball and like to work on hitting. This is a great tool for taking a kid and working on the fundamentals of a good swing. I can sit in a small area and not worry about losing balls. I have use the strike zone attachment to work on throws from fielders to first base. It gives them a better idea where to throw the ball. My new lacrosse player loves to use the net to shoot. It gets her outside on days she would normally be sitting watching tv.

Living in Buffalo, NY we can't start getting outside until April for baseball. So I did some modifications to use in my basement. My basement ceiling is 6'10". So the net would scrap the ceiling leaving marks. So I placed some hooks in the ceiling to hold the net in place and weights on the base. It works perfect. It's nice because I didn't have to buy the smaller one and I could still use it in my house. Now we are able to start getting swings in after hockey season ends and get ready to go outside.

I have also been using the weighted ball to teach power and driving through the ball. I will write a review of that when I get more to use in my practices.

Overall, I love the purchase and will look for powernet products in the future.

FANTASTIC

Even better than I hoped. Directions a bit lacking especially for strike zone setup, but figured everything out quick enough so that even my ten year old can set it up himself with just a little help to get the top net loops on the poles due to them being tall. He LOVES it and so do I. Got a bucket of 36 bballs to go along with this, and I have a pitcher in the making! Arm was sore so next day we set up a tee about 5 feet away from net and my son enjoyed whacking ball after ball into the net. Can't say enough how great this product is. I rarely take time to write reviews but this is a clear and worthy exception. Was going to spend half the $ on the net with the picture of a catcher on it but that got horrible reviews durability-wise, and we are so glad I went with this option. Looks and feels "professional" too! A+ thanks so much.

Perfect for Personal Batting and Pitching Training.

I spent a lot of time researching the PowerNet DLX and finally decided to make the purchase. When I got my PowerNet I was surprised by how compact the package was, but was happy with the wieght--not to heavy, but also not light enough to feel cheap. After unwrapping everything in the box, I followed the simple instructions and had the net up in under five minutes. The initial setup was super simple and tear-down is both intuitive and easy. The PowerNet can be set up by a single person without any difficulty. The rails and the netting material don't feel cheap, and the training ball has withstood a lot of punishment with full swings from both wood and composite bats. The pitching attachment is a small rectangular attachment with adjustable bands that can be be moved around the front of net to represent strike zones from players of differing height.

I've used the PowerNet indoors and outdoors and have been satisfied with it in both environments. Indoors, the net works well, but will have to be adjusted after hitting a few balls unless you add some weight to the legs. Another issue is that the net tends to tilt backwards unless you add weight onto the legs. I added a 10lb dumbbell onto the front of both legs and the problem with tilting was solved. All that said, is easily set up in a single car garage without having to worry about doing any damage to walls and garage doors. Though the PowerNet can be used indoors, it really excels outdoors. The stakes provided are more than enough to keep the net stationary for soft toss and tee hitting.

If you're looking for an easy to set up and highly portable hitting/pitching sock net, PowerNet DLX is a great option.
