Sofa Lamps Remote Outlet

Oct. 2025 - Attempting to use this rechargeable battery to power 2 sofa lamps. At 146 Watt Hours, this battery should power a single led lamp at the lowest 3-way setting for 32 hours. According to my testing, a 3-way lamp at the lowest setting is 4.5 watts, 9 watts at the middle setting and 13.7 watts at the brightest setting. For 2 lamps, as shown, multiply by 2. Divide the usage into 146 and you get the hours this battery will power your lamp(s). With both lamps at the brightest setting, the system should last 5.3 hours. Recharging is easily accomplished with the battery plugged into a nearby wall outlet.

We do not use these lamps except when company visits, so the infrequent use justifies not hiring electricians, drilling holes in the hardwood floor and installing a power outlet. Powering up the battery is a little complicated. Power up with short hold of the on/off button, then long hold of a/c button. Power down with long hold of the on/off button.

UPDATE Oct 2025 - I have found the 12 volt dc output connection to be too similar to the 15 volt dc input connection (see picture). The location and design are so similar that making the wrong connection seems very easy. The engineers may have considered this and built in protection. Maybe, they did not. The design made me uncomfortable, so I covered up the unnecessary connections for my application (see picture).

Didn't last...

Big waste of $100. They recommended a $40 a year extended warranty on a $100 product. Worked for the first few months. Charged it up in prep for the summer storm outage period in the spring. Charged up a cell phone. Now, it is dead as a door nail. Nothing online on how to fix. Lots of people got returns but I am outside of the window. I

Waste of money DO NOT BUY

Bought this March 2024 and it’s Died on July 3 2024 complete garbage and waste of money and time. It was basically a power bank that I would use only to power my Starlink for a couple minutes.

Real portable power

Love this unit, I had it on site when working and their power went out for 2 hours. It powered my laptop, phone, light, etc. It's a work horse that's dependable and stable, thank you!!!

Powerful.

I have three basic types of power banks: 1) Small units that fit in a backpack or briefcase for overnight use, no more than 10,000 mAh; 2) Larger units that will supply several days of power for my phone on a backpacking or canoeing trip with 20,000 to 30,000 mAh, and; ) Big power supplies that add AC out to the mix so that I can run 120 AC if I need to from the battery.

These battery packs fall squarely in the third category. They're big and heavy, but not so big and heavy that I couldn't put one in a suitcase if necessary for a trip. In other words, they're not the common lunchbox sized battery units that are really only useful for car camping.

These batteries (I purchased two of them) took several hours to charge, and they were already half-full on arrival. After charging them I plugged my Christmas tree into one battery's AC output. The battery powered the tree lights for 3.5 to 4 hours before becoming fully depleted. I then recharged the battery overnight. I didn't measure how long it took to charge from totally empty.

I'm very pleased with these batteries. I got them to replace a Jackery 20,000 mAh with AC out and a Romeo Power Sabre of about the same capacity as the Jackery. These batteries were much cheaper than the Saber or Jackery which I purchased together about five years ago.

Works well. Feels solid. Good case.

I took this unit camping to test it. I used it on my camp fridge/cooler which really isn’t fair. It ran my fridge for just over 4 hours. It worked great the whole time. It’s a great brick to use if you have stuff you need to plug into a household type outlet or usb.

Good Ideal If it would only last.

I've purchase the item twice and have not had one to last me over 3 uses within a 8 month period. I only power up my iPad photo booth which is an iPad pro with a LED ring light that don't use much of the battery. I would get at least 3 hours of usage but once I tried to charge it that last time. I get all four blue lights on as if the battery charged but once I try to use it, there is no sign of life. On the first one I thought it was just defective but getting the same issue from another unit is bad. My battery looks brand new because I only got 3 usage out of it.

Love it!

It’s the best!! My house is an open floor plan & my builder failed to put my floor plugs so I had an extension cord under my rug which I hated! I bought one of these & yippeee no more hiding the lamp cord. It’s so small & compact that it hides under my end table, in fact I loved it so much I bought another one so now both lamps can be used & I can utilize the 4 USB ports! The charge last for at least 5 days with an LED bulb, so if you have a center of the room plug issue this is the way to go! Oh & the Powkey customer service is wonderful & super helpful with any questions or concerns you might have!

Less Than 1 Year Not Working No Replacement Provided

Wish I could give this zero stars. Less than one year not working! When I plug in the power bank it shows a full charge. When I unplug it however, there is no power. I reached out to the seller and was asked to send a video of the problem and a replacement would be provided. I sent the video and still no replacement. Do not buy this product!. It does not work and the seller does not provide a replacement. It is a total waste of your money.

It will work a handful of times and then fail

I never leave reviews for products but this time I've made an acception.

Purchased a year ago to help keep my electronics charged on camping trips and general travel.

When it worked I could keep my laptop going for a few extra hours and even charge my headlamps and speakers but give it some time and just like many other reviews for this product will stop taking a charge and become a hundred dollar brick

Save yourselves, listen to the 1 star reviews, avoid making the same mistake I made.

Hasn’t worked or charged since I purchased it.

Since I got it I put it to charge and it’s been blinking at the same 25%.

I charged it overnight once again cause I had an event and it’s still at 25% .

Doesn’t turn on or anything.

While I was doing the video I did notice that it turned on but only while it was plugged into a wall outlet. I thought it was supposed to be a portable power bank but I guess not

Received maybe defective product?

Look at buying new. I received a decent product but does half it's job.of what it's supposed to. No case or ac wall outlet charger. Felt skeptical since I bought it for $60 plus tax used. Oh well! Just need to print the return label and return this. I'll give this 3 stars for this for at least trying it out. Design wise the fan does look big and there looks like there is no way to clean it if debris, dirt, dust or any contaminates get in there.

Piano power

This is my second unit. I mounted it under my wife’s baby grand electric piano. I was tired of putting it only near a plug and tripping over the wire. The first one lasted about 1.5 years. The piano can now be used anywhere, and the battery life is about a week and a half to two and a half weeks depending on how often it is played. I used a sliding mount so it can be pushed under and out of the way. Best idea I ever had.

Great battery bank

I plugged the unit in and gave it a full charge. Then I unplugged the battery bank fromAC power. plugged in the LED light that came with the bundle. Turned the light on low setting Monday at 9:21 PM. I ran it 24 hours a day till it was down to one led light on the battery pack at 4:45 pm on Friday. That's a good run even tho the light bulb is an led. Have not used the solar panels yet, they arrived almost a week late. However they were packaged well and seem to be excellent quality. Will add to this review when I have the opportunity to use them.

Ticking time bomb!

Just out of the box and it was ticking! Not mention how hot it was. Didn’t feel safe with it in the house.

Pure junk going right in the trash can where it belongs.

I ordered it December 10, 2021 received it by the 14. Yesterday March 1, 2022 not even complete three months it just suddenly stopped charging anything. All it shows is red indicator light. Their is no way to reset it. I read online the fan tends to get stuck causing it to be useless garbage. I knew it was to good to be true for the price.

AC power ports failed within 10 uses

I kept this to power phones, field monitors, and small sony cameras. I rarely used the AC ports. It failed while I was using it on a film shoot in October of 2019. I did NOT use it or store it incorrectly. Since then, only the USB ports work. I moved to Alaska this year and I needed it during a storm but without AC ports, it is not worth much. I am disappointed in the poorly written manual (Chinese companies can hire English writers from America - it's not difficult). There are no troubleshooting instructions. Can I return for a new one? I don't know. Who can I ask? Very expensive USB battery.

Works well with Macbook Pro Late-2013 model

I bought this exclusively with the purpose of providing my macbook pro on the go charging power because so many of the coffee shops and other establishments are removing power outlets and I needed to be mobile to keep up with life. The instructions don't say this (perhaps I missed it), but you need to press the power button, wait for the blue LEDs showing the % charged, then press and hold the AC button until the AC LED is green then let it go and you will have power on your outlets. I have had it for 3 weeks and have had to use it 3 times and was able to continue working for 5-6 hours and still 100% left on my macbook battery. Worth the money. If I run into any issues, I'll update the review.

Power your Amp or PA system or house with NO lime interference.

I use this for my electric guitar amp. It is great and last for several hours at least 10.

Anyone looking for a busker setup for an electric guitar playing in the park or other amplified instruments. Buy this for sure as a great little case small and light compared to a battery and converter system which is bulky possibly requires the hand card. This thing's a little bigger than a notepad and about 2 in thick ass case.

Disappointed Customer

My power station stopped working 7 months after I purchased it. After fully charged it dies in 30 minutes, if it comes on at all.

Stopped working after 6 months then again after 2 years.

Had this power block since August and it doesn’t work anymore! It’s completely charged up but will not stay on. Not sure what is going on but I followed all user manual instructions. Very unfortunate cause of how much this was and barely lasted 6 months.

UPDATE: It has now been almost 3 years since I’ve had this charger block. It’s definitely a finicky thing but I was able to get it to come on again and stay on after not using it for a year. Now, when I try to charge it up, it will not charge. Not sure what to do with it at this point. I need it for my pop up shop so I will have to buy another one.

Without a doubt

No doubt that this the most wonderful power outlet ever.. I use it in my she shed for my record player my fan heater coffee maker and cell phone I use it for hours . I only have to charge it once a week .. I have ordered a second outlet for our emergency kit because so far it’s the best out there... when the power went out in the neighborhood I went to my shed and enjoyed music and a cup of coffee with 2 of my neighbors how absolutely admired my energy... and after 2 hour and 30 minutes I still had 75% left to use the microwave for cup of noodle and a movie on my tablet ....

The unit looks quite nice

I was very happy to buy a pure sine wave ac power inverter, I was disappointed it was not a pure sine wave inverter

as they mention. the AC output is noisy and the noise could be heard in my microphone recording.

I tried a small television and there are noise dots on screen and hissing sound.

Clearly the unit I got cannot be used for sensitive electronic equipment on the AC side.

The DC side of the unit is perfect. In any case am back to square one. I would rate it at two stars.

Great self contained portable ac/dc power supply

Great overall power supply. Nice to have a built in inverter with very clean sine wave output. Worked two nights for CPAP without humidifier but was completely exhausted at end of second night.

Charges everything.

I took this photo at home but out in the field today I charged my drones batteries, my drone controller and my ipad mini while flying my other drone. It is a bit heavy but it goes in a backpack with my gear. If I were hiking more than a couple miles, it might get a bit heavy but for where I was, I went about a mile into the mountains and had no problems with it. I finished flying one drone and killed three batteries. Flew my other drone while this thing was charging my ipad, headphones, cell phone and drone batteries. To the guys that gave it a bad review, I don't know if they had bad quality control but mine is solid. If it changes I will leave another review.

The bang for your buck power supply!

The power supply is of great quality. I even measure the output voltage with my oscliscope. The voltage ripple is very small (less than 2%) in both full load and no load.

Very good built quality with many features

This is a great product. Im trying to find one of these in a while and in the end I went with this. Very good built quality, you can feel it right out the box, and with all those power outlets and USB ports, it carries great functionalities as well. Over the few days of using I didn’t find anything jumps out that annoys me. Definitely recommend.
