Quiet but Powerful and Lightweight, Sturdy, Versatile Ceiling Fan. Easy to install
This Prominence Home Marston Rustic Ceiling Fan is well-made, easy to install and looks great. At 52” with five blades it’s powerful enough for large spaces up to 18x18, though possibly larger. The motor has a good weight but isn’t super heavy. Every piece of this fan is made out of quality material, except the blade’s veneer is easily marked and the “ebony” is a cheap looking solid black. Despite it’s quiet, this thing gets pumping quick and extremely powerful. Blasts of air circulate an unbelievable air flow, keeping the room super cool. My video is to show how quickly this reaches the highest setting and the power of the circulation.
The installation is well-designed and thought through. There’s an “L” shaped notch on the piece that connects to the ceiling that you can actually hang the motor on while you’re at it. AMAZING.
All of the included hardware worked, we didn’t have to use any of our own. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, but I let the bf do the proper installation. I assembled it in about 30 minutes then he later put it up in an hour. He’s not great with electrical things either, so it couldn’t have been that difficult:).
I think I tweaked this fan from rustic farmhouse to “modern vintage.” The original style is cute, but wasn’t flattering to the more contemporary room we had to put it in. I didn’t care much for the texture on the prismatic glass fixtures anyway, so I left those off and used naked led Edison style bulbs and the darker “Northern Ebony” side of the blades. That’s just my own uptight, personal taste though.
If something in the room compliments anything on the fan, such as bronze cabinet pulls or even some barnwood pine photo frames, it can really pull it all together. You can change the whole look of the fan just by switching out the glass fixtures or flipping the blades.
This is a solid, easy to install ceiling fan at a good value. If this is what you’re looking for, go for it.

Good fan
Mounted this fan in a living room so we’re more about its max size that is recommended for and not a single room. It operates quietly and moves plenty of air. Come with LED bulbs to same a little bit of money on electric and last for years. Would have like to see a remote kit come with it, but it can be added. Also comes with fan balancing weights but I didn’t need to use them. Installation took less than an hour.

Fan-tastic
Reversible which I love because right now I have it flipped to the brown but am planning on changing my kitchen over to black and white so it’s a great investment. The fan is powerful and you can feel it pull air through the house. The globes are really nice and the pull strings have a fan and a light symbol on it. Took about 45 minutes to put up and if you have big fingers or hands you may need some help because it has some small areas the need put together.

Fan blades scratch easily but great otherwise.
This farmhouse style ceiling fan is pretty great overall. I did have an issue with the veneer on the blades scratching when I slipped off the screwhead with the screwdriver, and it scratched right off. Other than that, everything else was great. The instructions where easy to follow and very clear and understandable. I put the fan together by myself in a matter of hours. I've never put one together before so I'm sure it would be faster for someone who has before. I like that all the mounting hardware is included and that there is multiple mounting options available to suit your needs. I did a close mount install since I hung this in my master bedroom and the ceiling isn't too high. The provided E26 base 5w filament LED bulbs are a nice warm light and work great for my bedroom. The fan motor is reversible so I can switch it depending on the weather, and the 5 blades really push alot of air. I can definitely feel the airflow when I'm sleeping! I like the rustic look and the oil rubbed bronze matches all the finishes in my house as well. Overall, this is a great ceiling fan but I wish they would put a more durable coating on the fan blades.

Nicely made fan
This is a nicely made fan with just a couple of quirks/drawbacks.
First of all, I love the way that this fan looks from the colors to the design on the light globes. It's also a good fan so far in terms of actually moving air. I know that seems obvious, but let's face it, not all fans are actually efficient at doing what they're supposed to do so it's worth mentioning.
This took us about 2 hours to remove the old ceiling fan and install this fan. The drawback that we found regarding installation is that the holes on the top are somewhat larger than we've seen in other ceiling fan assemblies so if the screws fell (and they did), it was a pain to try and get them out of the assembly without taking more apart.
Once it was up, we did also notice that the motor is slightly noisier than our previous fan at the highest setting. It's not so loud that it's frustrating to us, but it's not silent either.
Time will tell how this fan holds up, but it's definitely been a good choice so far.

Beautiful modern farmhouse fan!
This fan was really easy to install. It doesn’t come with the screws that mount to your ceiling fan box. Typically those come with your ceiling fan box. The instructions are very easy to follow in a step by step process. Make sure to pay attention when you’re putting the collars onto the downrod. The fan comes with extra washers and screws of each size. The blades are reversible from a medium wood to a very dark wood. The LED bulbs that come with it are very bright, but there’s a sticker on the light housing that claims a maximum 5W bulb. Not sure if this is true or not, but that would mean you can’t use an incandescent bulb.
Overall, we’re really happy with it. It has a nice modern farmhouse feel & looks great in our guest bedroom!

Really great ceiling fan
This was a great ceiling fan to assemble and put up. Came in a smallish, but heavy box, with all the necessary parts safely included in the pack. Instructions were very clear and assembly and installation took about an hour total, including removal of the old ceiling fan.
Very nice ceiling fan. Seems made of quality parts, and everything fits with acceptable tolerances.

Problems with the install and fan quality
This review is for the Prominence Home 51017 Marston Rustic Farmhouse Ceiling Fan, 52", Oil Rubbed Bronze. We got about halfway into the install and as my husband started to assemble one of the blades, he realized that the veneer was almost completely separated from the one side, which was the rustic wood side that we wanted to use. It's very paper thin in spots and not very sturdy so the first attempt to glue it together failed. We're trying it again, but having a ceiling fan install take multiple days is frustrating. My husband can either disassemble part of the fan so he can turn the power back on in our family room or clamp it with glue and hope it sets in an hour so he can finish the job or we'll have to use it with the black blades but that wasn't the side we wanted to use. We can't just leave everything on the floor to come back to later because we had 3 kids including a crawling baby so this has become a rather frustrating endeavor.
Update: the glue only held a couple of days and now the veneer has separated again leaving a huge gap that is visible. It looks terrible.
