Like it but 2 keys not working

The letters Q & Z do not work since about 6 months in. Had a great typing experience. I wouldn't even say the keys are stuck. No amount of pressing generates a letter.

On the hunt for a new travel keyboard

This Model Sucks! Save your money!

Day 33 and the Bluetooth has stopped working consistently, and the non slip cheap sliders have fallen off. WTH?

I previously loved my older model protoarc keyboard. I’ve had this current model for 33 days. The Bluetooth connection had been working fine. Then all of a sudden on day 33, right after the return window expired, the crap “new model” is totally unstable. I test this in 3 computers and the same result. I am SO DISAPPOINTED! Solid and Reliable

Bought this back in 2024 and I am finally having issues pop up where a key will need more force to register. Also the mouse click sometimes needs more force to register as well. Like a light touch doesn't do it anymore. Pretty satisfied with this given the price I paid vs how long I've had it and how often I use it with my work from home job. Recently picked up a second job house sitting so it is also traveling a lot now. Honestly I've only ever had it die out on me once that it actually needed a recharge. Most times I'll pop it on a charge at random every once in a blue moon out of paranoia. Like once every several months. Otherwise it is extremely reliable with staying charged and managing itself with going to sleep on its own to preserve battery. I use the dongle for connection but it does have Bluetooth capabilities I have never explored. I'll probably purchase this again once it fully dies out. My main reason for buying this was the compact foldability and the fact that I only need one dongle for both the mouse and keyboard.

Turns a Tablet Into a Portable Workstation

I recently started using Canva for my Bookstagram account, and since my Samsung tablet is about the size of a laptop screen, adding a keyboard and mouse just made sense. This setup solved my biggest problem—no more fat-fingering graphics while editing.

The keyboard is full-size, which I love because it includes a number pad, dedicated arrow keys, and even a screen capture button. It folds up into a compact case that’s easy to throw in a bag, and the case itself is probably my favorite part. It also charges with USB-C and can connect through either Bluetooth or the included USB receiver, making it easy to use with different devices. I also appreciate that it automatically wakes when you unfold it instead of needing an on/off switch.

Compared to a similar keyboard my husband owns, this one has sturdier hinges and a larger layout, although the mouse is slimmer than I personally prefer. The keyboard also feels a little loose when it’s open, but it has never felt unstable while typing. If you’re looking for a portable keyboard and mouse to turn your tablet into a more productive workstation, this is a great option.

Impressive value for the price. Very sleek and professional.

One of those products you think is going to be a scam because of how much is included for the 60$ (on sale) I paid for it, but it was absolutely fantastic. These days, I'd expect each included item individually to be worth 60$, let alone the whole package. The case is practical and useful, the keyboard feels light and easy to use/pack, mouse is very standard for work and travel without feeling flimsy and uncomfortable. The included phone stand is a nice touch, and the thing that really made me want to leave a review was the professional packaging. It came with guides, a letter of thanks, and each item was individually wrapped like I was unboxing a 400$ piece of hardware.

This all said, I'm reviewing right after unboxing. I have a machine on the way that I planned to use this with, so if there's issues with actual use I'll update this review. If not, you can assume it went great.

Great for travel

Easy to connect via Bluetooth or USB dongle. Has 2 Bluetooth channels, and a USB dongle so I can connect it to my laptop and iPad and my MacBook switch easily between them without having to disconnect anything or re-pair. There’s a button on the bottom of the mouse to switch devices. Folds up small and is easy to carry in my backpack for business trips but opens up to a full size keyboard. It’s made of sturdy materials as well, I don’t use the padded case it came in because it takes up too much space in my bag, but both keyboard and mouse have held up nicely. I get a lot of comments about how cool it is when I’m traveling. Long battery life and the backlit keyboard and mouse look great and are comfortable to use, and responsive with no lag noted. This is actually the second one I bought in the last 2 years, but only because I misplaced the first one (and found it in my desk after my trip). If you travel and need a keyboard/mouse for your laptop, I highly recommend this one.

Perfectly compact take anywhere keyboard and mouse.

So far I love this. My only gripe is the switching should be the top button on the mouse not underneath oe even on the side. It made something that should've been seamless kinda annoying. Switching the keyboard is great. Though. Its pretty comfortable given its size and foldable.

I'm very happy with this purchase!

I love it! It's EXACTLY what I was looking for. The sturdy carrying case, and it folds up. The keys are very smooth when typing. The carrying case can double as a mousepad, if you have support under your mouse arm —I use a small pillow. I wish I had gotten this keyboard much sooner.

Brandy

Budget-Friendly and Reliable! A must have!

The keyboard works well and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s quieter than a regular keyboard, but slightly louder than a laptop keyboard in my opinion. The overall quality looks great, though the folding area feels a little loose and not as stable as I expected. For the price, this is a much better option than buying a Magic Keyboard, especially since it also comes with a mini stand. I have the latest 13-inch iPad and haven’t tried the mini stand yet because I use a hard case with a built-in stand. The mouse is thin and works fine. One of my favorite features is the screenshot/camera function on the keyboard, I really love that. I purchased the pink version and absolutely love the color. It was easy to set up and ready to use right away. Overall, it’s definitely worth the price. There are several other colors to choose from as well. The packaging was very nice, and the note from the creator was a sweet touch. It also comes with a 2-year warranty, which is hard to beat.

Sadly, my video was too large to share so I'll be uploading just the video.

Perfect for Steam Deck

I bought this just to use for when I need to hop into desktop mode on SteamOS and don't want to have to type with the touch screen. It took a little while to get used to the key layout, but like with any keyboard you get used to it. I actually really like the tactile feel of the keys when I type on it. The mouse is a little too light-weight for my taste, but it's compact and gets the job done. The keyboard folds really well, and when you have the keyboard and mouse in the carrying case it's about the same size as the Steam Deck case (slightly smaller). Battery lasts a long time and it's fun to type on, no complaints here.

Move the snipping tool button

Overall this product serves its purpose but there are a few design flaws that been annoying frequently enough that it’s caused me to write this review. The biggest and most aggravating is that the screen print button that opens the snipping tool is directly next to the backspace key so if you miss the backspace your screen freezes and goes grey to take a snipping. At least on my computer, pressing escape won’t make this go away so I have to move to my mouse and close it on screen which is frustrating.

The other design flaws are similar but less impactful - the PgDn button is next to the right arrow so in Excel or Word, if i’m arrowing over and miss the key it jumps me down the page. The Home and End buttons are also oddly placed so I have to look for them when using them.

Then a personal preference, the keyboard has a raised lip edge that I feel when on the spacebar and I wish it had two small legs to gift it a slight tilt instead of so flat…but both of these are manageable.

Might be good for some people but not it for me

Not a bad device. I love it that it came on a nice case, a mouse that is very light and nice to use. A phone holder too.

My biggest issue is with the keyboar’s space bar.

This is just not working for me.

If it would at least match the other keys it would be great, but when you click on the space bar, it barely moves, feels like it is stuck, sometimes it does the space, some times it double spaces, not for me. It is a cringe to be typing and every time I click the space bar, it makes me cringe to my back and neck feeling like there are nails on a chalkboard

Everything you could need, all in one set!!

This keyboard and mouse with carrying case & phone holder is very sturdy, well-designed (even has a full 9-key portion) and has the ability to sync up/be programmed to two separate devices. I use this now frequently for my tablet and my cell phone (and if leaving the house, I use this for my laptop), and I love that this mouse actually functions as a true mouse on my screen (tablet). The keys feel very comfortable to type on, the keyboard itself is very portable (I don't always use the carrying case that it came with, since my laptop bag has dedicated pockets for a keyboard and mouse already). I love that there was a personalized message from the designer, along with a sticker containing all the info you would need if in case you have a warranty claim, that you can stick to the back of the keyboard. It beats having separate paperwork to keep track of. It was very easy to set up straight out of the box, although there is instructions in case you need a little extra help getting started. The battery life seems to be fine, although I haven't timed it, but I think so far it has lasted a week on a single charge, albeit not being used daily. I really appreciate that both the keyboard and mouse use USB-C to charge, as some cheaper keyboard/mouse combos either have to use standard batteries (AAA, AA, etc) or use the old micro-USB chargers, which honestly is outdated and takes forever to charge. All in all, I would give this a ten out of ten, and the only thing I can think of that would need improving would just be that I wish it could be a bit cheaper in cost. I will say though, that even though this set is a bit on the pricier side, it is well worth the investment.

Solid, Snappy and Slim Keyboard and Mouse knockout combo!

I’m writing this on the ProtoArc wireless keyboard, and it’s so much nicer than my laptop’s built-in keys. The full-size layout with a number pad feels natural, and even if I didn’t despise trackpads, the mouse is great

Both pieces feel high quality, with a soft satin finish and solid build. The keyboard folds into a compact size, and the snug case keeps everything secure for travel. Setup is effortless with the single USB dongle for both devices or switch to Bluetooth to save a port. Connections are stable and responsive; any slight delay I noticed was from my cheap laptop, not the keyboard.

Typing is comfortable despite its flat design, and while the mouse is also low-profile, it’s perfectly fine for everyday use. Overall, this set is responsive, well-built, and very convenient. If you need a portable combo or a thoughtful tech gift, this is an excellent choice.

The perfect keyboard

This little baby is top notch! The packaging is nice, it has a fancy case they give you a little fancy card and everything. Somebody really invested in this product. I love the fact that it can just fold and be stored away. You don't need batteries for it and it comes with the wire to charge it. It's Bluetooth capable and very easy to connect even without instructions because I didn't read any instructions. This is just one of the best investments I've made! The mouse feels good in your hand and is easy to connect as well.

Great portable keyboard and mouse.

Very useful item. I like the multi-channel Bluetooth functions. I can have one channel set to my laptop/tablet and the other set to my phone or another device and easily switch between them.

They have the little rubber bumpers on parts of it. I only wish they had it on the main base on the bottom of the keyboard so that it won't get scuffed by whatever table or surface I'm using it on.

Perfect travel keyboard and mouse duo!

I bought this for my coworking space on the days I leave home. It connects perfectly to my work computer. For all of you who are on the go run, don't walk!

Great for travel, but not perfect

I’ve been using the ProtoArc foldable keyboard and mouse for a few weeks, and overall, I’m impressed. The keyboard is compact but still feels sturdy and comfortable to type on once you get used to the flat angle. The mouse is lightweight and works well for basic tasks. Battery life on both is excellent, and the included travel case is a nice bonus.

However, the keyboard doesn’t have adjustable feet, so the typing angle might feel a bit awkward for long use. Also, there’s no backlight, which can be a problem in low light.

If you travel often and need a portable keyboard/mouse setup, this is a solid choice. Just don’t expect full desktop comfort

Cost per use is not cost efficient

Purchased May2024, easy to use combo when traveling. Did not use everyday or every week. Today June 2,2025, the U key begin typing multiple forward slash ( / ) and it doesn’t stop. The ?/ key doesn’t type when pressed. The other keys type their specific number / letter/ character. Doesn’t last long for the cost. such a disappointment

Awesome set, highly recommend

Writing this in March 2025 after having purchased this set last summer. I just went out of my way to come back and write this review: that's how good it is. I know I drive myself nuts analyzing reviews before I buy things, so I thought I'd come back and help others who do the same thing.

This folding keyboard and mouse come in a durable carrying case that keeps them in great shape through tons of use and travel. The mouse and keyboard both show very little wear after much use on the go. Connectivity was easy and is consistently stable - I've never had any problems with it whatsoever. The keyboard is large enough to type comfortably and includes a number keypad. It's sturdy and the moving parts (hinges, etc.) are all still in great shape. There is a quiet but satifying click in the keyboard, if you care about that sort of thing.

Aesthetically, this set is a win. I got the green color, and I get compliments on them it all the time. I think the keys may be embossed or pad-printed but in any case, they show no wear. All in all, this was a great purchase.

ProtoArc Customer Service

I’ve had this keyboard (Model XKM01) for a little over a year and two (2)of the keys stopped working (sadness). I looked at user manual to see if I could fix it (don’t know why) but I saw they had a link for their customer support, so I contacted them (why not). The CS team member gave me some instructions, via the chat, to try to reset the keyboard but nothing worked (now I know how to reset it). They told me the product has a warranty (so glad they let me know that). They simply asked for the order number and asked me to make short video showing what wasn’t working. Y’all they stood by their product and the warranty and offered to send me a refund or a replacement. I love the convenience of the portable keyboard and the mouse, so of course I preferred a replacement. So glad I made this purchase from ProtoArc! I truly recommend getting a wireless keyboard and mouse from them!

Ordered twice, both times had a quality control issue on right hinge

I ordered this a 2nd time, being a big fan of the layout but had a quality control issue on my first order that I was returning. 2nd time had an even bigger issue and on the same hinge!

Well, once again this had a quality control issue on the right hinge but for a different reason. The first time was the hinge felt very loose and felt like it had damage right out of the box. So I was nervous to keep it as the issue looked like itd worsen or cause more dage with light use.

This time the quality control issue was much more noticeable. Only allowed one video so this time I'm just taking a picture of the hinge on the 2nd order.

The hinge on the back isn't set right and has a noticeable flaw when compared to the left hinge. The hinge this time is sticking out, far enough past the bumpers that is meant to stabalize, give the keyboard a nice flat surface and absorb when typing. This causes the keyboard to wobble as it balances on that hinge and get loud as it clicks and clacks on the hinge.

The left hinge does not do this and is perfectly flush like it's supposed to be. Given this is now the 2nd keyboard and on the same. Right hinge with issues, I'm thinking there might just be an overall manufacturing issue with maybe some of their parts either not the correct sized or being placed wrong to cause issues like this.

Little suspect if I'll return this yet or not, I tend to really hyper focus on quality control issues so it probably wouldn't bother most people, maybe I got a lemon that missed quality control. One of the hinges is noticeably loose and feels less sturdy on one side, hard to capture feel on video but just seems like it's going to break or wasn't fit properly, to the touch it just feels worn in, it's noticeable because only that one area is like this in comparison to all the other hinge points. Maybe something very small is broken or loose in it that's not catching properly to give it sturdiness when it's folded up.

Doesn't seem to impact the functionality of the keyboard but does have me concerned long term if it's going to cause any issues of traveled with and bumps causing it to worsen. It pushing in like that just makes me nervous too.

Also out of the box the phone holder is also broken, I know it's a add-on I've seen the exact same one in other keyboard sets but still feels kinda cheap to not have a little quality control.

Overall seems like a nice keyboard and mouse set. Just wish it had a bit more of a sturdy feel on the hinges. With these fold up type keyboards a good hinge is everything and it's not a good sign if a hinge is already acting up when it's brand new.

Love it! Small and Foldable!

I love the fact that it's foldable small and convenient put iny purse and take it for my out of town training. I just connect it to my phone and work through there. The keys are soft to the touch and doesn't make the clicking typing sound like my keyboards. The mouse and the case with this price is an extra for me.I would definitely buy another one whenever this one breaks.

Back and charging wire scratched, joints fragile

The 3 star rating I give is due to damage received before being shipped to me. The damage was not enough for me to immediately return. I just received this today in the mail. Everything looked nice: the presentation of the box, all the notes and pamphlets, and then the carrying case to boot.

When I opened up the carrying case and removed the keyboard from the protective plastic sleeve, I noticed a score mark across the back of the keyboard. There is also a smaller indentation on the USB-A side of the charging wire.

I wish I took a picture- one of the bending points was entirely out of place and had to be shoved back in. The joints of the keyboard are easily moved and feel more fragile than I thought they would be, and I expected them to be sensitive. The joints can be pushed back and forth when the keyboard is closed.

Thankfully, the mouse had no physical issues.

I have only Bluetooth connected this to my device and have not fully tried out the keys and the mouse buttons... I was too upset to not immediately write a review. I will follow up with performance reviews after a few weeks. I saw some individuals having issues after a period of time and would like to wait it out.

Amazing!

My employer has started requiring people to go back to the office. Unfortunately they no longer have assigned cubes, and you can’t leave any of your stuff there. They provide a monitor and cord to attach to your laptop, but no keyboard or mouse. I came looking for something more portable than a full size keyboard.

This keyboard and mouse has been absolutely perfect. I’m using it via Bluetooth. It connects and reconnects completely transparently. I can fold it up, stick it in my bag, then take it back out, open it, and just keep working. No reconnecting required.

The mouse has an on/off switch, and reconnects perfectly when switched back to on.

The battery has been great on it. I have had this for a few weeks now, and used it as my main keyboard both at home and when in the office, and have yet to need to charge it since the first charge when I received it.

It came with a carrying case, but I have since lost. I just don’t really have use for it. It folds up smaller and nicer without it, so I just go without. Maybe some find use for it, but not needed for me.

If you’re questioning this purchase, do it! I have showed this thing off to so many people!

Versatile, sturdy, operates Windows 11 & Android simultaneously

What I like: The case is sturdy & well-put together. This foldable, keyboard/mouse combo is extremely versatile. As it operates using WiFi (dongle-2.4 Ghz), BT 1 & BT 2, with the push of a button, I can switch between this keyboard/mouse combo & my laptop, tablet, tower or phone should I choose to do so, without having to constantly re-set everything. I can choose to use the WiFi for my laptop & bluetooth for anything else. And it works seanlessly with Windows & Android.

The numeric keypad is a plus, as is my ability to toggle on or off the primary Function keys, enabling me to use the 12 Function keys to control multimedia. The mouse has a orange button above the scroll button, which controls the DPI, with 3 levels of adjustability for the mouse speed. Beyond this, this combo retains its charge when stored for long periods. If I don't use it for a month, I can pull it out, turn it on & it's ready to go.

All of these features, a great case & ultra-portability & versatility, equals a 5 Star recommendation.

Great WFH / Portable keyboard

I purchased this to use for travel and to easily move around while working from home. I added the clips on the back myself to make it more comfortable. I hate small keyboards so this was a perfect size. I also love the USB option since my employer blocks Bluetooth.
