Fire hazard

While it was plugged it started to smell electrical burning than it started smoking from the inside and it cut off but kept smoking. I had to unplug it and take it outside incase it caught on fire. It is cute but not safe

Cream not white Very cute tho

So very cute. Reto’ish style Love that! Was not happy with the color it says white, it is cream. The room is going in is all white so the cream doesn’t look quite right. But the sound it great. Over all I like it but I wish it would have stated that the color is cream/off white. But a great radio

Total 1950”s Retro FM/AM Radio w/ Blue tooth, Vibes!!

Got this retro vintage radio because it looks super cool and authentic! Looks like I found this in a vintage shop.

I like radio’s but whats cool about his one is that is has a blue tooth feature so I can connect it to my music on my phone. It really looks antique, I got it to add to my vintage contemporary design & vibe in my living room!

I came with a cord to plug in to charge it, once I charged it for a few hours I turned on the radio which sounds really good, it was loud enough to entertain me and my friends hanging out and dancing!

Super simple to operate! It has a dial knob to change the radio station, an antenna for the reception and a smart plug!

Looks vintage yet has all the bells and whistles for my Bluetooth and other smart devices!

It also has space for batteries in case I want to take it to the beach to listen to some music!

The size is great too, not to big and not to small!!

Cool radio!! It would also make a great gift! I get so many compliments..

Lots of functionality in a small little package

We had an old boombox sitting on the kitchen counter at our fishing cabin that was taking up way too much room. This is a great replacement with lots more functionality in a much smaller size. I will say that it is a bit of a step down in sound quality, though. I have a couple of smaller Bluetooth-only speakers that have better sound quality. But I wanted to have the FM capability with the antenna and the rotary dial to pick up local stations for news and weather. The sound isn't horrible, but it is a little tinny/canned sounding. Other than that, it is a great little box. Besides the AM/FM, which both seem to pick up stations very well with clear sound, it also has three other options: Bluetooth, a Transflash card, or a USB drive. Everything works well, with the "M" mode button on top used to select between the three. It remembers where it was playing on the USB drive or Transflash card if you turn it off and back on. It runs off of the AC power cord, which also charges the internal 1200mAh battery. There is an optional 5V round DC connector on the side as well (adapter not provided), but I don't know why that would ever be needed. And just in case, you can also drop in two D-size batteries in the back. Overall, it is a nice little retro package that can provide sound on the go when needed.

Cool Retro Look

This is a radio and a USB & Micro-SD & Bluetooth speaker.

It has a really neat retro look to it, yet also has some oddities to it.

It has a good sound to it. Much better sound than any radio setup from this actual time period it's supposed to represent. But one is probably not buying this for some dynamic jaw-dropping sound quality anyway. You won't get that, but you will be surprised with how well it does actually sound.

The radio function does both AM and FM and comes with an antenna on the top back of it.

There is also an internal battery with this unit. It can be charged thru either power source of just the standard power outlet which plugs into the back of the radio or thru a 5 volt plug that is on the side of the unit.

The buttons on top of the unit control the play and pause function, forward and back function for the music or whatever you are playing thru either the USB, Micro-SD or Bluetooth inputs to this unit. The M button changes the mode to either one of those.

This is a nice little radio with many options, but there were a few peculiar things about it that I wanted to mention. None of these take away from the retro look or quality of the sound or the function of the unit, but were odd to me.

First, the batteries that it requires, IF you wanted to use batteries are size "D". I cannot remember the last time I needed to use D batteries in something. It's been a very long time. I think they could have done something different with using AA or AAA batteries. That choice was baffling to me.

Also, the 5v input on the side does not come with a cable. The only cable is for the standard power supply with the wall outlet.

The third thing is the side of the unit as you can see in one of my attached photos. It looks like the Bluetooth markings were an afterthought to add later. Maybe I'm just being picky with that one, but it's something I noticed that kind of stood out as an added sticker.

Overall though, for its look and function and options I do recommend it. It's a neat conversation piece also.

Top Notch Portable Radio

I ordered this ‘PRUNUS J-130 Small Retro Vintage Radio’ to use in our camper. I figured it would be good when we sit out at the picnic table.

I can’t say enough good things about this ‘PRUNUS J-130 Small Retro Vintage Radio’. I am totally impressed by it for a number of reasons. Firstly, it’s very cool looking. It’s definitely ‘retro’ styled as the description says. And the detailing is perfect right down to the curvy lines and the chrome accents.

Secondly, this radio appears to be quite well constructed. It’s not made of cheap plastic…the quality is very good. And the metal accents are actually metal. It’s quite heavy when you hold it.

Third, this ‘PRUNUS J-130 Small Retro Vintage Radio’ sounds good on. The music is clear with good depth. There’s no crackling whatsoever even at high volume. And it picks up a signal easily.

And fourth, I like all the connection options this radio has for playing music. I can pick up an OTA signal…I can stream from my phone via Bluetooth…and I can even use an SD card in it. There is no reason with this radio that you can have music all the time.

The radio is rechargeable which is very handy when camping. And it runs a decent amount of time when fully charged.

All in all, I can definitely recommend this ‘PRUNUS J-130 Small Retro Vintage Radio’ if you’re looking for a full featured, well made, very compact portable radio. The sound quality is good, and it has multiple connection options. A five star product for sure.

Adorable! Perfect for gifting!

This little radio gives off such a late 70s-early 80s vibe (my childhood!) It is adorable! Radio reception is fabulous and picks up very easy as you turn the dial, sound is very clear. Bluetooth is seamless to set up and bonus is that when on Bluetooth the volume is controlled via your phone so you don't have to be nearby. Speaker itself is comparable with a transistor radio. The AC cord is a bit short which limits where you can set it up if you're using AC power. I have not tried it on battery as I did not have any D batteries available. I will be getting a few more of these for holiday gifting.

Awesome Small Retro Radio

I love retro items, and this PRUNUS radio is exactly what I want in a simple, easy to use radio. It is am/fm, you can plug it in, or use D batteries, and you can access Bluetooth for your own music. It has an antenna, when did you last see an antenna on any radio! - and I love it has a holder to carry from room to room. It’s lightweight, the sound is fine, as I don’t care for loud music, and the buttons are simple to use. I so enjoy simpler times, and it is nostalgic and brings back happy memories. I would highly recommend this radio if you enjoy retro and/or nostalgic items. Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All functions work as expected, good value for the price.

This little AM/FM radio combo Bluetooth speaker and USB/TF MP3 player delivers. All of the functions worked as I expected, the 3 watt (mono) speaker is plenty loud, and it has a lot of power options. Yes, it's an inexpensive cheap plastic case, but everything works well and it doesn't look bad. At this price point, it's a nice multi-function device.

Audio quality is good enough for a non-stereo speaker, and the tested play time on the internal rechargeable battery was more than 5 hours. (Died sometime between my 5 hour and 6 hour check.)

Can be powered via the included AC plug (110 volts only, not 240 volt capable, at least according to the specifications plate), by a 5v barrel connector (plug/wire not included) or via 2x user supplied D cell batteries. [It also has an internal rechargeable battery that is topped up anytime you plug it into AC.]

It looks like the bluetooth features are an add-on to a prior product, as the injection molded case only lists AM/FM/USB as options, with the "BT" next to the USB option painted on.

Yes, you can buy a bluetooth speaker with stereo speakers and slightly better audio quality in the same price range, and it might even play music from a TF/USB card....but if you also want the AM/FM radio capability, and included AC power inlet/charger I feel this option is good value for your money.

Great reception even without antenna

I ordered this radio for my boho themed camper. It fits in adorably, but that's not what makes it perfect. It gets in a LOT of channels, even without the antenna up.

We camp a lot and normally boondock when we do, so my husband would miss televised sporting events that he wanted to see. The radio was a must to keep up and get the play by plays. He has no problem getting in his sports channels no matter how far back in the boonies we are, and he doesn't even usually have to put up the antenna.

This radio has a pretty big sound for such a small design. It takes 2 D sized batteries, you can plug it in if you have access to power, and if you buy a DC cord it's supposed to have a rechargeable battery in it too.

When we're not using it for sports or music, I can switch it to Bluetooth and listen to my audio books. This will be used a lot in our camper!
