Bad crossovers.

Built-in crossover is garbage. Tested them before install and noticed the sounded poorly. Immediately I suspected the crossover, usually at this price range a single capacitor of higher value is common making midranges go through causing some distortion. To my surprise, the capacitor on these is not even non-polarized, making it useless for audio signal processing. Totally unacceptable, for most people this would translate in distorted sound since only half of the sine wave pass through the capacitor. If for some reason you buy these tweeters, spend the money and buy 3.3mfd or 2.0mfd to properly cut the frequencies at least at 6db per octave. Your grand total will now be around $55. Are they worth it? Time will tell.

VERY Nice Tweeter for the $$

I bought these to replace my Alpine's in the front pods of my 2020 CRV. Yeah, they had some great reviews but also, it's really hard to find surface mount with a 2.3" outside diameter which these are. So, I read all the good reviews and figured let's just try them. Well, they are worth every penny and sound better than my Mylar Dome Alpines. These are Silk Dome and even at the lower price point, they sound fantastic. Thanks for PVR for the nice item for a great price. WooHoo!

Great sound that is loud & clear

With so many options out there it's hard to pick, so I gambled on these and they sound fantastic 🤙

The PRV tw150sd-4 tweeters are amazing!!

I paired the tweeters with two PRV 6MR250B-4 Slims, running a 400 watt amp on a 2017 Road Glide Special. These tweeters woke up the sound system something fierce!!! It sounds amazing! So much louder. The 6.5 PRV speakers are loud, but adding the tweeters took it to a new level. I can clearly hear music on highway above 80mph. Notice I said clearly. It’s not distorted at all, I can hear the music as if I was parked. Cost, sound quality, build quality, you won’t be disappointed if you buy these tweeters.

These are audiophile grade tweeters

I needed these 32mm ones vs the 28mm PRV ones in my custom Bluetooth blaster. Still the same excellent sound quality as the 28mm pure silk domes. The 32mm ones are built better with wider lip and larger nut for mounting. The 32mm ones are slightly more efficient at 94 db vs 92 dB for the 28mm version

OBSERVATION - the included capacitor and wiring is not that great. Very thin and short wires. They need to be 18 AWG vs 20 or 24 AWG and LONGER wires. The included cap uF rating is too high as a crossover. I had to use 47-ohm 100w resistors and 22uF caps to knock them down and lower the crossover points. The tweeters now sing beautifully. Silk dome tweeters are the way to go if you are serious about tweeters and perfect sound reproduction.

BOTTOM LINE - steal deal at $50/pair. Solid buy.
