The title is a bit much for anyone that uses microphones on a regular basis but for me it’s the best I’ve had. The sound is great. Better than my last mic. The Pyle was less in price and it has a lot better quality on the sound. The look is just that much cooler as well. It was a simple plug and play with the XLR to USB-C cable.

I bought this mainly as a prop but the fact that it actually works as a mic is a plus! However, the design is poor because I can't attached an XLR cable to it because the port is too close to the tripod screw hole.

I bought this microphone as a prop for a video we are making in my home studio. It was cheap and looked perfect for my needs so I didn't bother to check the ratings or reviews. I never planned to plug it in. Last night a friend suggested we plug it in out of curiosity so we did (using a proper XLR cable, not the 1/4" that came with it). Jaw drop time! Need I say more? At this price, buy it and you won't be disappointed. Looks cool and sounds great.

The sound quality is amazing with my Pyle speaker. It’s light weight with a long enough female plug in, so that I can move around with it. I love that I can cradle it in my hand as well. All I’m missing is a flower in my hair to feel like Billie Holiday ☺️!

Got it for a Photoshoot. The price was good once it went on sale and lowered. Came on time and packaged well. Nothing bent and like how it’s sturdy.

After figuring out how to connect to my Desktop PC and JBL speakers and the Instruments like Yamaha Work Station , and started using the NCH Song Recording Multitrack software, I was so happy the my selection was flawless. The throughput volume was so high and sensitive, I have to lower the gain and Mixer Volume control to minimum possible for best recording quality.

I received this microphone as a Christmas gift. I of course immediately plugged it in and tried it out. I use it mainly for impromptu music sessions with friends and an occasional performance. Over all, I like the sound of it. I was disappointed it was plastic. But for $34, what can you expect. I should have read the description more closely. As I said, I like the sound of it, it has good sensitivity and it looks pretty cool. My dislikes, however, are the threads inside the base for the mic stand are fragile since they're made of plastic. I expect they will strip.out easily if one is not careful with it. Also, the chrome finish is questionable. As you can see in the video, there is a spot on the top, where the finish is not present and a couple of spots where the chrome is already staring to peel or bubble. Also the cable that comes with it is XLR to TRS (1/4" mono) which is wierd. I had to pull another mic cable to connect it to my little PA properly. If I could I'd give it three-and-a-half stars.

I love it. I’m a photographer, and I used it as a prop for a joke video, but it’s a much better quality than I imagined it to be. I’m not a singer, but this looks stylish on my bookshelf, and I’ll definitely use it for future photos shoots.

Pyle PDMICR42R offers a classic, retro-style like feel to live recordings and events that will surely please the average audiophile. The CR42 is very sturdy and has a quality build for its simplistic yet premium design. Simply, the mic is built to last. The best feature by far is its built-in pop filter that reduces the popping sound. Awhile I love this feature, I would reluctantly still find myself using an additional filter for subtle differences in hearing Ps and Bs throughout a recording. Nonetheless, It's a matter of choice and preference as there would be certain variances often plagued by the additional recording equipment I was using. It's not big on the diaphragm, but this is not what the mic's use is intended for, obviously. Moreover, the mic holds true to its wide frequency and its unidirectional sensitivity ensuring clear crystal audio. Truly one of the best mic's on the market.

Purchased to use as a prop for my daughter's living wax museum presentation. It wasn't hooked up, but it does come with all of the necessary attachments. Fit perfectly into the school mic stand. Very nice mic for a great price!

I haven't tried the microphone yet, as I purchased for a photo shoot. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the item though. I expected it would be plastic (because of the price), but the plastic coating was chipped and peeling right out of the box! I mean, come on...if it's not gonna sound amazing it should at least look amazing. I have other Pyle microphones and am super pleased with the look and sound. This was a huge disappointment. I'd send it back if I didn't need it this week.

I read the comments concerning this mic... first of all, those of you who are making the bad comments are not reading the specifications of the microphone, second, this particular mic is made of plastic (42BK) and there is one Pyle sells for that comes in a metal case. Do your homework! I bought this mic because I wanted something vintage and not expensive for my chat, Skype and for using it on Echolink (Internet based Amateur Radio Communications program). This mic suits that purpose. After setting it up and having adjusted the volume levels on my soundcard, this microphone works beautifully and my voice is clear on the receiving end of the conversation. It's the perfect height. With my software, I control the PTT (Push To Talk) with the space bar on Echolink and with the chat program, the PTT is controlled by the CTRL key (keep in mind the on and off switch on the microphone must be left in the on position when using it on these programs). I absolutely recommend this microphone to all my Ham Radio Buddies and to all who want a simple but inexpensive microphone for chatting or Skyping. I will be purchasing the Pyle 68BK (Metal Casing) to add to my collection. Shipping was fast and received everything in working order.
