We purchased Thai for a talk back mix for our multi platinum and gold recoding studio. We wanted to have clean clear audio when speaking with artist in the booth.

Read about the 9v battery draining. Added an 9v adapter, had it tucked in under the terminals clips, it stays in place very sturdy.

Product looks good and sound quality also good but fully unhappy with the battery, its not working at all from the beginning. Can you kindly send new battery as replace the old one. We purchased new battery from the local shop now its working.

Should have had a 9v plug out of the box, but it's a very easy mod to do luckily. Otherwise the thing works great as a simple talk back mic in my studio. I won't be putting it up for vocals.. but simple speech is fine.

I've used this is my studio when I work with clients. They have their ear pieces in and I have mine in. I just press the button when I need to communicate in between takes and no one has to take their headphones off.
The battery has actually lasted a long time as long as I turn the mic off when I'm not using it. Can't beat the price.

The mic itself work fine, just not what I thought I was ordering, I wanted a mic to work on its on not needing speakers and a pa system.

This is an awesome microphone. The sound quality is the best you will find for the price. I used this for our weekly virtual bible study + other virtual meetings. At first, I was using the camera mic, but it was not very defined. After switching to this mic, my vocal was crisp and clear. It seems to be built sturdy--only time will tell. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars is because it drains batteries. in roughly about 7-8 hrs of use, the battery was dead. However, someone posted a hack using a universal 9-volt adapter kit and 9v battery clips with bare lead ($19). Abrakadabra! problem solved! I already had a soldering kit so it was as easy as ABC.

I had to buy this for my small recording studio because my old goose neck had broken. I ordered this in a hurry because I needed it quickly. I didn't realize it was a condenser, but thrilled it is. It doesn't require phantom power as it runs off an included 9-volt battery. All the connections are solid and sturdy, not cheap plastic. the goose neck portion of the microphone seems like it is very well made as well. the base is heavy enough that when you adjust the angle of the microphone, the base doesn't move on the desk. I though I would have to double side tape it down, but surprisingly, It doesn't need to be. the button to turn the mic on and off seems rugged, lights up, and the ring around the actual microphone lights up as well to let you know it's live. came with a nice wind screen, which I didn't expect, but a nice touch. The directions were a poor translation from Chinese, but honestly if you don't know how to use this product, you probably don't know what you're doing in the studio in the first place. Only thing I would love that this doens't have is a momentary on switch. The button is an on or off, but a momentary button would be a nice addition. All around, I'm very happy that I binge ordered this microphone. It far exceeds my expectations.

Great slim design. Battery power is a drawback could be better if it had a transformer, but it's working OK. Using this mic at a Christian church.

So a few things for the more technical folks that might be considering this mic:
-The XLR Output is NOT a balanced out. As you can see from photos of the interior of the unit, only pins 1 (shield) & 2 (Signal +) are connected pin three is no connection
-The poorly translated "manual" claims the mic has "mulriple( sic) noise detect circuit", "multi circuits" and "compressing-expaning technology" though examination of the PCB shows a single flip flop chip that seems to be wired as a push-on push-off muting circuit. Nothing else on the PCB appears to be any kind of gain adjustment / noise reduction system.
-The upper body is all plastic, the base is a rather heavy solid metal plate that keeps it pretty stable on the desk.
I have gutted this mic by removing the PCB and will be adding my own phantom power circuit. I also will be adding an Arduino that will send MIDI mute/unmute to my digital mixer when the button is pressed. The Arduino will also take care of turning on/off the LEDs. The plastic case will make it possible to add a MIDI DIN jack and a power jack for the Arduino to the back of the mic housing. All in all it was a good "shell" to build up a mic just the way I want it.

You can use these with AC power, if you're willing to get your hands a little dirty. I used a 9V AC adapter, some 9V pigtails, and a soldering iron to plug these bad boys into the wall. I have set this up and it works great. Solder the pigtails (red to +, black to -) onto the contacts in the mic base, and then you're good to go. For $27 you're not going to find anything close to these. We use them in a room with very bad acoustics, and the cardioid pattern has made our VC audio much better.
If you're on a budget this is a workable option. Is it pretty? No. But it works, and no one is the wiser.
