Very happy with this Pyle Mixer. Had purchased a cheaper one previously, trying to save a few bucks, but it felt very low-end with a cheap plastic chassis, poor / low-volume pre-amps (didn't drive the mics very well), and the power supply felt shoddy. Upgraded to this Pyle and couldn't be happier. I would consider myself a casual user (haven't played-out in a band since the 90's!), but I don't see any reason that this couldn't be used for a small gig in a live setting. Steel chassis, 3 band EQ, and the pre-amps & effects are just what the doctor ordered!

One thing I am going to tell you. I am an audio engineer and though that I knew everything. I didn't read the instruction manual. Once you have it all set up and connected to your computer via the beautiful, one cable, all-purpose USB port, and the board lights up, there will be no sound. But the board is lit, and correctly wired to my computer. I finally read the manual for help....
Line 1) Turn the freaking thing on. Just because the board is lit does not mean it is on. It gets power from the computer AND the power cord, included. I was happy and ashamed at the same time. I got over it.
Pyle USA is made in good old Brooklyn USA. As a decorated veteran, that makes a big difference to me.
It's super light, yet heavy-duty, like a Sherman tank. It comes with plenty of groovy effects (reverb, echo, delay, etc.) built in. Yes, there's a send and return bus for external effects (there has to be - you're a pro engineer now, aren't you?), but, for the life of me, I haven't needed them yet.
IT IS SUPER QUIET. That's how you tell a good board from a bad one. This is a broadcast-quality studio mixer. The only drawback is that it only carries 8 tracks at a time.
But, then, even The Beatles started on a 2 track. This is a great product. Three thumbs up. Buy me.

I would highly recommend this product for home and small venue. Just need a good power amp or power speaker and you’re good to go. Love this purchase

I order this based on reviews online. The product is great for what I need it for. The only complaint I have doesn't pertain to the audio mixer but to the instructions, they don't really explain the features adequately. However there are several videos on YouTube that do a real good job. When I posted my first review of this mixer I hadn't got a chance to use it. Now that I have used it here is what I think. It produces good sound. The instruction manual is a little weak. But that might be because if they told all the things this unit can do, they would have to charge more for shipping because it would take a book. My advise is to look up this unit on youtube. I watched one where someone had used it for a year. It was one of the reasons I bought it. I use mine for making movies and educational purposes in conjunction with a sound card. All of that is hooked up to a couple of computers, and a couple of other things. There are three ways to hook this to my main computer, Bluetooth, usb, and by output cable. The same Bluetooth can pair to other devices while the unit is hooked by wire to the computer.

Muchas gracias

The sound quality on the eq are great. I was amazed with the Bluetooth feature and makes it easier to connect my phone for playlists. I am not fond of the 1/4 connectors to the main inputs but I respect it. Great product to grant you flexibility overall.

What a great mixer!! I will be buying more guaranteed!!!

For the past 13 years I've used this little cheapo 2 mic usb audio interface. Finally decided to upgrade to a genuine mixer. I got this PMXU83BT and was very excited.
What a horribly disappointing let-down. This this is not a usable USB audio interface at all. I just bought an overpriced cheap mixer with no stereo/balance ability at all.
1) For the USB connection, if you're using the mixer as the PC's input AND output, you get an audio loop with the PC. The PC's output goes into the mixer's 7/8/USB row and hits the bus and right back out the mixer's output into the PC's input. They have no logic in there to allow you to use the control/phones port just to hear the PC output without putting that looped audio back into the PC's input. This causes clipping to say the least, sounds terrible. Completely unusable.
2) The USB connection again... has horrible, insane latency - I'd guess 500ms or more? Using another output on the PC for monitor headphones/speaker to try to use software monitor (like in garageband "I want to hear myself as I record") was wildly unusable. The delay between speaking and hearing it in the monitor headphones had to be at least half a second or more.
I ended up having to unplug this mixer from USB and I'm going to have to just use it as a hardware mixer with one output from control going to the cheapo USB audio interface I've used for 13 years. Which has no latency and no looping audio problems. This thing is nothing to me now but another couple of mic ports.
This thing is not acceptable for anyone who wants to actually do anything useful software-defined-audio-wise, certainly not real-time. Anyone so much as wanting to hear software effects in their monitor headphones, from something like garageband, as they record is not going to be able to use this thing over USB.
I am really disappointed in this Pyle. I wish I didn't throw away the box, I'd return it.
As a hardware mixer, audio cables only, it works. Audio quality seems decent, it isn't bad. But if you're looking for one with a usable USB audio interface... keep shopping. This isn't it.
It feels like they made a decent/cheap hardware mixer and shoehorned in bluetooth and USB without a thought of whether it was usable - just marketable.

Edit1: Added picture of the setup. I have the final out going to a stereo mic in port on my m-audio mobile pre (above the mixer), which is what I'm using for USB audio - still. I wanted to replace the m-audio. It's ridiculous that this mixer doesn't do as good of a job at USB as that 13 year old cheapo m-audio.

The product is great. Nice sound and easy to use.

The PMXU83BT is a great mixer at an affordable price. With this now I can record much easier into FL Studio. I got my KORG minilogue XD, MiniBrute, Shure SM58 and Ibanez Iceman all hooked up on this and ready to go! Great product & build!

I purchased this because we needed an inexpensive mixer board to run multiple guitars basses and a digital piano. The unit we received was defective out of the box i.e. channel 2 has an intermittent open. This mixer also has a very nasty 60 Hz hum that is especially noticeable when using headphones. If you want to use this unit keep in mind that you will need a ground loop isolator or hum isolator to make it usable. The gain is quite limited i.e. you have to run up the gain to nearly max to get much audio out through the mains. This means you don't have much headroom on the output. It is likely that the reason for this is the preamp being of low quality. It really depends on what you want to do. If you can put up with high noise it could work for you. Word to the wise, the one year warranty is a bit misleading. In order to use the warranty you need to contact Pyle USA and then get an RMA, next you need to pay for shipping both ways. So, in short you may need to pay $20+ to ship the defective unit to them and another $20 to pay them to ship it back to you. As a practical matter this may not always be a good deal since paying $40+ dollars in shipping for a $99 item is nearly 50% of the cost of the unit. Just be aware of that.

I highly recommend this mixer to professional and amateur musicians looking to record or run a PA system

The PMXU8BT 8 channel mixer appears to be solidly built. Preliminary tests show it to be likely perfect for use in my home studio. Not excessively noisy easy to use. Frees up desk space from another older, much larger 8 channel digital mini disk recorder I was using. It remains to be seen how it performs in the long term, but pleased so far.

Just got this awesome mixer from Pyle. Connected to everything just fine and is very easy to use. So many nice features and effects. Can't believe the price was under $100. I wish I had gotten this earlier but now I can have fun playing with the settings and connections. Looking forward to recording on my computer. Super amazing product.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It works well and the sound quality is good. The product arrived on time and was well packaged. I have not used ALL the features yet and will probably update this review as I continue to use it. So far it meets my expectations.

This mixer is the best value for money! I am amazed at the clear sound quality (no feedback), Bluetooth is amazing, and feels solid. I love the portability of this unit as well as it's functionality. I am a professional wedding/event DJ and would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a professional mixer at an entry level price.

I took a chance on the Pyle PMXU83BT mixer based upon a review from the Expert Island on Youtube...and I am very satisfied with the choice I made. This little Pyle USB/Bluetooth audio mixer marries up easily to a Scarlett 2i2 Gen2 and my IMac late 2013. It pushes a condenser mic and a dynamic mic clearly. It also works seamlessly with a Tascam dr60 for digital audio recording. (Yet, I like the sound from the Tascam better than thru the IMac's sound card). So, yes I'd buy it again and recommend it to podcasters and home studios.
