Great radio. Good insurance policy for little money.
Great little radio. Why do you need it? Because with it, you can at least “call out to identify” homicidal 18-wheeler drives & make an effort to push western society back to civilization. Maybe. But it’s better than nothing. Also, they see the radio antenna, they’re not quite as aggressive because they know there is the remote possibility of being identified.
Also, you can pick up information.

It's a nice simple radio
Price aside, this is one of the nicest simple little AM FM radios out there. This would be ideal for someone who wants to get their feet wet in the hobby and talk with their more serious radio friends. This isn't going to be something that experienced radio folks go for, as you quickly start to miss features like variable gain or adjustable much gain, etc but it's cool that this unit can secretly bump out some extra watts and the recieve sensitivity is pretty decent. It's got a nice looking screen and is dead simple to use. It doesn't give an inexperienced person anything they shouldn't have, so you know they won't get in trouble with it. I would use this radio to get someone on the air who doesn't know what SWR is, and never will, and they will probably love this unit because it looks nice, it's easy to use, it sounds good (as good as AM CB ever sounds), and it will even throw in a few extra watts if needed. I could see my dad enjoying this, he isn't a radio guy but he knows his two sons who live within a few miles like to chat on the radio and with something like this he could be included without having to learn much, and it would be a good performing radio for TX and RX and lots of fun.
The CB-500 is still a better choice for someone who knows what the extra features and functions are for and wants to use them, but this is going to talk out just as well as the CB-500 and be much easier for most people to use. That makes this likely the best entry-level AM FM CB radio out there at this time.

Good Quality
This is a well-built, compact CB radio with a solid metal body that feels sturdy and durable. The amber-colored display is a nice touch, clear, easy to read, and especially great for nighttime use.
I mounted it under my dashboard using the included bracket and screws, and the setup was quick and straightforward. It supports both 12V and 24V, and as soon as I powered it on, the soft amber glow of the display lit up, easy on the eyes in both day and night conditions.
Navigating through 40 channels is simple and responsive, with the knobs and buttons making adjustments effortless. The mic shortcut keys allow for quick switching, and the response time is impressive.
With 4W output, the radio performs well in both urban and rural areas. On the highway, turning on NB (Noise Blanker) and ASQ (Auto Squelch) significantly reduced background noise, making conversations clear and easy to understand. The VOX (Voice-Activated Transmission) feature is especially handy while driving, allowing for hands-free communication, which adds an extra layer of safety and convenience.
One standout feature is the advanced cooling structure. Even after 2+ hours of use, including high volume and frequent transmissions, the unit was only slightly warm, showing excellent heat management. The display neatly presents channel, signal strength, and mode information at a glance.
Mic cord is a bit short, if mounting further away, it may feel restrictive
Mic buttons and knobs are slightly stiff, could be smoother

Practical Communication Tool for the Road
The Radioddity CB-606 PRO (not really a pro model, in my opinion) offers solid performance for everyday communication needs. The 2.2-inch amber display provides excellent visibility even in low light conditions, with adjustable brightness levels that work well for night driving. Setup is straightforward and the menu system, while requiring a brief learning curve, becomes intuitive after a short time of use.
This unit includes practical features that make a noticeable difference in real-world conditions. The noise blanker and adjustable squelch options effectively filter out background noise on busy highways, resulting in clearer communications.
The dual voltage compatibility (12V/24V) makes it versatile for installation in various vehicles from cars to larger trucks without requiring additional adapters. I have installed mine in a weatherproof case powered by an M18 Milwaukee battery.

Nice, Compact Size!
Summary:
I chose this product to install in my F350. I have not installed it yet, as I will have to take it somewhere to get it installed. The product is compact and looks nice, very similar to the expensive ones you see at the truck stops. I'm sure it will work as described and will update my review once I have it installed and working. Keep in mind, your signal will only be as strong as the antenna you ultimately decide to use.
Pros:
- Compact size
- Seems to be built well
Cons:
- It does not come with installation instructions for wiring to your electrical system, which is why I removed one star.

Powerful, portable CB radio.
This is a powerful CB radio that can pick up the citizens band stations, which are free to use without a license. It has a handheld microphone and receiver which also allow for some control of the radio itself. This product also contains a bracket for mounting this radio in your car. The power source is a simple red and black wire which must be hardwired to use. There are no regular charger ports or even electrical cord.
The radio is easy to install with the included kit. The hardest part would be if you are not familiar with using the bare wires to connect to power. It's the radio functions well and can quickly scan through the CB stations. There is also a PA setting and the emergency/popular frequencies are earmarked and easy to access from their own dedicated button.
If you are looking for a portable CB radio, this has everything you need. Prices and features only go up from here but this is a good mix of functionality, good features, and good price. There is no license needed to access these frequencies, so the sky is the limit for how you use it to communicate, or just listen, especially to other vehicles on highways, etc. Excellent radio!

Basic, Budget friendly
This is a very basic, beginner, CB curious station.
You’ll still need a few things to turn this on and use it(for the beginners).
Handset is cheap. No issues though.
You can try this out for a beginner, or maybe as an emergency backup up.

Radioddity CB-606 PRO CB Radio, AM/FM/PA Mobile Transceiver with 4W Power Output
When I first received the radio, it was at its default configuration and everything was as it is said in the product page. But, there was a menu item not in the instruction book, that was in the main menu. It was a high and low power setting.
As it came, the radio transmits in 4 watts on AM or on FM. When I went to set it on low power, that is when I discovered it was in low power. In high power, the radio transmits 8 watts AM and 18w FM.
On back of the radio is a heat sink that it probably does not need in low power. In high power, transmitting a couple of minutes key-down, the back of the radio and heat sink did not get very warm.
Power consumption: 0.23 A receive, 1.75A transmit 4 watts, 2.32A in 8 watts (AM High power), and 3.75A in 18 watts (FM High Power).
Audio is clear and average level on the air. It has one speaker output and you can choose to use it for a PA speaker or for an external speaker. Or for both if you mount the speaker outside the cabin of the vehicle.
It has a fast channel switch that rotates from the channel you are on, to 9, to 19, and back to the channel you are on.
It has a nice auto-squelch that you can set the level to in the menu or you can choose to adjust the squelch manually with an old fashioned knob.
You can change channels with the up and down arrow buttons on the face of the radio or with the buttons on top of the mic.
Overall, the radio is good looking, small and light weight. It is not real fancy and it is priced surprisingly well for what it is.
I don't find anything to complain about. I think it is a great value for the price.
