The radio works very well i like that it has the weather radio on it and can monitor it durning severe weather events also works very well on the armature radio bands. This radio can do GMRS. The battery seems to hold up pretty well when the battery is fully charged up I’ll recommend this radio to anyone who would want to purchase it.

I use these at work and the signal is good even though walls , build quality is great and the range on these is good enough for most job sites.

I got this radio because I am in a very heavy air traffic path, and I like to listen to them as they take off and land. This radio has some bad reviews, but it picks up a lot of different frequencies that the average Ham radio does not. Not only does it pickup your international air traffic it does a jam up job picking up miliary traffic. I had to stop it from scanning just to make sure I heard what I heard but it does pick up some of the old UHF TV broadcast that I was only to hear on a scanner. the price is low, and the radio does its job, the battery hods out for about 3 to 4 days no problem and it charges in a short time. It's something to pass time and I can use it with my Ham radio when I need it.

Got this at a bargain used like new.
Lots of YouTube videos on programming etc to learn how to operate it. Recommended

Can't actually recieve or transmit on HF or CB frequencies but it allows you to enter them. This radio is great, much better than Baofeng, which are being nudered by FCC regulations now. With the radtel, you can transmit on any frequency you enter. When you pay higher prices for other radios, you get a Chinese radio, with even more transmit restrictions. You can spend 250 dollars on a Yaesu but you can literally only transmit on 410 to 460 mhz. And don't even think about MURS. So you pay 5x the price as a Radtel, and you can't use FRS, GMRS, MURS, or 500mhz frequencies. I suspect that is the real reason why sad hams and reddit hams are constantly recommending Yaesu radios and similar. They love gatekeeping and they want you using the most expensive, restrictive radio out there. Why would you buy 4 chinese radios? One for FRS, another for GMRS, another for MURS, and another for HAM? Just buy an unlocked, unrestricted radio like this, and ignore those people. Real people do not care about "spurious emissions" or FCCs dictionary of money making rules (not laws).

I've been looking for something like this for a while because it transmits on MURS frequencies used in our nearby Walmart. Now I can sit in the waiting area for wifey and entertain myself by getting on Walmart's frequency and calling someone back to their returns desk and watching them get impatient as they keep returning and there's no one there pushing the service button. One person actually yelled "F***" as they stormed away from the service desk. I laughed and laughed and laughed! Great radio for whatever you want it for!

The radio was nice and loud, and strong, however the screen is horrible. My screen came already with a scratch, and I noticed that it easily scratches. I simply wiped a soft towel over the screen and it left marks.
