Rane Seventy: Simply amazing mixer and value for the money purchase

This is by far the best Mixer you can buy if you are like me:

- You care about sound quality

- You care about build quality

- You care a about usability

- You care about your gear lasting years and been some kind of multi platform.

- You care about class compliant devices.

- You believe that pioneer is a heavy marketing company and expensive.

- You are not and scratch DJ but you are looking for the best way to be more creative.

- You kind of hate controllers and believe more on mixers and media / midi players to have a more flexible approach.

- You are willing to pay extra money for all of this features and simply you can't believe why this mixer is so cheap and it have all that you want.

- You believe on competition and this move from Pioneer in buying Serato is in the incorrect direction so you will like to boost companies like Rane investing your money on them.

I will be using this mixer with two Denon DJ LC6000, for my needs this is simply an extraordinary match. I've been a long time Traktor user but now I'm partially switching due to the more innovative Serato approach and specially because of stems. Love my older setup (Play Differently Model 1.4 pair with 2 Native Instruments X1 mk2).

Made In Taiwan and not China. For me that it is also important.

Best Investment I’ve Ever Made

This was a much needed upgrade for me I used to use the TTM57 MK2 which is now a legacy product and it went all wacky on me a week before a gig I ordered this Rane 70 And got it four days before the gig. I thought that there would be a learning curve but there really wasn’t I learn this machine literally in about two hours it’s the easiest to understand super intuitive and most user-friendly mixer I have ever used.

Mix Magic on this Unit

I've had the Rane Seventy for over a year now and still love it! I purchased this mixer during the start of the pandemic in 2020 knowing I would have lots of downtime from gigs to learn the new features. This was just before the Pioneer DJM-S11 & S7 mixers were launched. I thought I would have buyer's remorse when I heard about the Pioneer mixers but after Rane added Serato Scratch Bank to both the 70 & 72 mixers... all was well.

The Ducking Echo works almost like the Smooth Echo on the S11 so there's little to be desired between the two. The DJM-S11 has a few more features than the Rane Seventy, no doubt! However, for my personal DJ style, I have more than enough power with this mixer. The Mag4 faders are buttery smooth and have external feel adjustments. I can use this mixer with my Technics 1200s or my Rane Twelves. The sound is superb. Once I added my Skinz as shown in the picture, the deal was sealed that I would keep this unit. Two thumbs up!

Best Mixer by far

This mixer is so DOPE! It has so much to it that helps when doing a set and being creative in the process. Before I had a Numark Scratch but it was very very limited and I had a Traktor Z2 which was great as well ( but my daughter spilled juice on it). Now I have a lot of fun working with this mixer. I do have an issue and I don’t think it’s the mixers fault but I have a ton of clipping and dragging going on while using DVS but with real vinyl it works great.
