Remote mic with mute button, 2 ways to connect, excellent sound quality

I work from home and got it for business related meetings. While I don’t need to share audio with anyone else in the room I still prefer conference speakerphones to headphones for several reasons. Wired headphones restrict my mobility. Sometimes I want to get up and pace around the room while speaking. And while the Bluetooth headset doesn’t tether me to the desk I always have a hard to locate a mute button. My colleagues were also complaining about audio quality (metallic voice) when I am on a Bluetooth headset as I probably have too many Bluetooth gadgets in my house and hence a lot of interference. This speakerphone has both wireless and wired connection modes. I preferred wired over Bluetooth due to poor Bluetooth audio quality in my office (due to excessive interference with other Bluetooth devices). I still paired my phone over Bluetooth as a second device to take private calls if necessary. The speakerphone has a dedicated phone pickup / disconnect button. You can interlink it with another POD4 speakerphone via the included 3.5mm audio cable if you have a big office or large conference room. It also comes with a remote microphone with a built-in mute button. I am going to place it near the keyboard for easy access to mute button. While the speakerphone is full duplex it does an excellent job processing mic input to attenuate incoming audio. My colleagues didn’t complain about echo issues with this speakerphone as they did with my previous one. Wireless USB dongle and USB charging / data cable are also included.

A Surprisingly Capable Conference Speakerphone for the Patrick Hacienda

Around the Patrick Hacienda, Mrs. Patrick handles the administrative side of the workshop, spending plenty of time with customers and suppliers on the phone or in Zoom meeting rooms. Every so often, I get invited into these calls. And that is when things used to go sideways.

Imagine me coming in from the shop, still dusted with sawdust, glue, or a streak of paint I missed. I try to tidy up before entering the house, but odds are good I’ll track something in anyway. Leaning over her laptop microphone meant whatever fell off me landed on her papers, her PC, or her well-organized desk. That usually earned me the famous Mrs. Patrick hairy eyeball. Clearly, we needed a better system.

So when this RayBit conference speaker came up for review, I ordered it immediately. I am not easily impressed with electronics, having spent decades working on industrial-grade hardware and software, but this device managed to impress me.

Right away, the ease of getting started stood out. Pairing was effortless. Then we fired up a call and the difference was night and day. The onboard DSP engine works hard behind the scenes, canceling echoes, knocking out background noise, and enhancing voice clarity. Callers heard us clearly without the HVAC hum, keyboard chatter, or Zeus barking at the wrong moment. Full duplex audio allowed natural back-and-forth conversation instead of clipped phrases.

The external expansion microphone was an instant win for our household. Mrs. Patrick can sit comfortably at her desk, and I can stay on the far side of the room without contaminating her paperwork with sawdust confetti. The mic range covers 3 to 5 meters easily, and the long cable makes placement painless.

Compatibility and connection options are equally strong. Bluetooth, USB, wireless dongle, daisy chain support - it all just works. I can even walk into the room mid-call on my cell phone and transfer to the speakerphone without breaking stride.

This is a solid, professional-grade conference microphone that brought peace and clarity back to the Patrick office.

Verdict:

Conference Bluetooth Speakerphone

The conference speakerphone can connect by various methods, including Bluetooth, USB, Wireless Dongle, and Daisy Chain. Is compatible with all popular conference software on the market, such as ZOOM, Teams, Skype, GoToMeeting, and more. I originally got this speakerphone for my home office, but now it's set in my home gym which is where I spend most of the time. Setup is straightforward, and the device is very easy to use. Voices sound natural and clear, and the background noise is filtered out effectively. This device has transformed frustrating long mobile calls, into joyful handsfree effortless conversations ;-)

Great tool for conference calls.

It is a solid upgrade for my work calls and school meetings. Setup was super easy. Bluetooth connected right away and then I was on my call. The wireless dongle option is great when I’m hopping between devices, like my laptop. I was a bit wary of the AI noise cancellation, but it works way better than I expected. It cuts out background noise (including my neighbor’s dog who loves to add his 2¢ during meetings), and people on the other end say my voice sounds clearer than before. The voice enhancement feature seems to help too. I have yet to get the “you’re cutting out” complaints. For group meetings, everyone in the room was picked up without needing to lean in or anything. My only small gripe is that I wish the volume could be a tiny bit louder at max, but it’s still totally fine for normal calls.

Not Your Father’s Speakerphone

This microphone/speaker is an exceptional value in comparison to similar products, and it works well. Don’t be fooled by the “speakerphone” label or similar appearance to the conference phones of old, because that’s not what this is. It connects to a phone, computer, firestick, or whatever wirelessly using an usb dongle and acts as the microphone and/or speaker for any virtual meeting application. Especially with the included auxiliary secondary mic, it allows a table full of participants to hear and be heard. No more yelling at the tv or monitor in the room. Setup is straightforward, and the device is very easy to use.

Makes meetings clearer and easier for everyone to hear

I’ve been using this speakerphone for team calls, and it’s made a real difference in how clearly everyone can hear each other. It connects quickly, Bluetooth usually pairs within seconds, and the included wireless dongle is great for plug-and-play use with laptops or conference systems. I’ve used it on both Mac and Windows devices without needing any setup tweaks, and the mute and volume controls are right on the unit for easy access during calls.

Voices sound natural and clear, and background noise is filtered out effectively. Even in a larger meeting room, everyone can be heard without repeating themselves. When we linked two units together to create a longer table, the sound remained consistent with no echo or drop-off, which made hybrid meetings feel more natural.

The compact, wireless design keeps the table uncluttered, and it’s easy to move between rooms when needed. Battery life easily lasts through several long meetings, and having the option to connect by cable adds flexibility.

It’s not loaded with gimmicks, just clear audio, simple functional controls, and a cost-effective setup that makes meetings more efficient and less frustrating for everyone in the room.
