it’s comforting to wear good pads not to much bass their durability not too bad. It’s flexible. Fits on your head pretty good. Works on the PS5 slim no adapter needed even though I already canceled adapter for the original PS five just pretty good battery life’s good I feel like the LED lights drain the battery pretty quick you cannot change the LED on PS5 only through the Phone app and PC which kind of sucks but other than that, they’re pretty good for what to do

Highly satisfied only issue is microphone is easy to lose.
Luis Gerardo Torres

If you want to buy a new headset for work that requires you to be on the phones frequently, do not buy this headset. It has a huge bug where the microphone will randomly stop picking up signal. I am on the phones all day picking up phone calls and making them. This headset makes me paranoid to use because if the customer can't hear me I potentially lose a sale and that cost me money. You can fix it by turning the headset off and on or switching between the dongle to Bluetooth, then the dongle again, but for me every second counts and that bit of time that it takes to do all that cost me a lot. Do not buy if you are using this for work!

Razer is great, as are their products. That is why the 5 stars. The renewed service is not great and they get 0/5. This was the second pair I'd bought that had a problem. The first one had the dongle missing from the packaging. I was able to return that. The second had an issue with the lights. As you can see, one of the internal lights is burnt out so the colors are not what they should be. They are obviously not educated enough to be guaranteeing the products are actually working when they send them back out.

Excelente product.

Bought this to replace my Asus ROG Delta headset that I've had for many years. All my other peripherals are Razer and I wanted wireless this time around, so this seemed liked a good choice. The headset itself is great, sound quality is good, it's light and stays on my head. Unfortunately it died within 4 days of owning it and that is super disappointing. I have to say razer really let me down this time around. Guess it's time to try the Kraken line.

This Razer is about the 5th headset we’ve had from the brand. We’re a family of gamers and have certainly had our run with a number of brands (most of which have their pros and cons). I’m a huge fan of the materials Razer usually uses with the metal bands and heavy-duty plastic head.
While I don’t find it quite the same quality as some Razers, it’s also not the more expensive price point. What we do appreciate about this headset is that it is still very well made, has an excellent audio for gaming (and I do mean fantastic). If you’re an audiophile and thinking about the headset for music, you might want to look elsewhere as it’s light on bass and some of the deeper tones. With the 40mm driver it’s understandable.
The earcups are fabric and comfortable. I find some of the Turtle Beach a bit softer on the ear and cut out a little more ambient sound, but these do stay cooler for longer gaming sessions. Speaking of the longer gaming sessions, the battery life is fantastic too (70 hours!).
The detachable mic quality is excellent as well. I typically prefer a flip-up microphone, but the mute button is really easy to find, and all of the controls are well placed. The RGB looks great as well. I use this on my PC and phone, and with the dual wireless, it’s easy to toggle.
In summary, these are made well, sound great for gaming, are comfortable and honestly look cool too. These are easy to recommend for the price point.

I have been using these headphones for a month for gaming, music, movies, phone calls.
Same headphone pads as their Kraken V4, and I find them light and breathable, but a little rough against my beard.
I have a large head, and I found the clamping force perfect for hours of gaming, also a matter of how light this set is. The adjustment detents hold adjustments in place perfectly, and are easy to slid for best fitment.
The dongle connects almost immediate to my Playstation, and Bluetooth connects just as fast. I tested the connections ability to hold a connection at a distance and I was amazed to see they would stay connected across my house, on the same level, which is about 30ft without static or dropouts.
The app seems a little under developed yet. You can switch colors and modes, but you cannot create your own profiles.
You can tune the headphones for custom sound though there are 3 presets for gaming, music, and movies. All modes have a female voice that acknowledges modes, and power status.
Switching from Bluetooth to the dongle is just a matter of double pressing the sound mode button. Switches extremely fast.
In comparison to Razers Kraken headset, these sound great and the removable mic quality is superb also. If on PC you can always use different options for EQ and AI noise cancellation.
The headphones do not block outside noise, which maybe a positive for some situations. It's also what helps them breath and feel lighter than some ANC type headphones.
Though the Krakens offer more premium hardware, and better sound. These for the price are quite amazing.
I know everyone is basically looking for a headset that is a cheat code for FPS games, I haven't found those headphones yet, but these are super comfortable, and are great all around headphones.
Great offering for a great price.

This Razer Barracuda Headset is excellent quality for the cost and works great. The sound is clear and the response time is quick. It charges and connects easily. These are easy to use and comfortable to wear. The Value is Good!

I don’t have anything to compare this to because this is my first real gaming headset. So, with that being said, this headset is awesome. This is definitely an upgrade. It sounds nice and clear. It’s comfortable, the padding feels great on my head and ears. It’s also lightweight. The design is cool and it lights up. It’s pricey, but comparable to other ones out there in the market. I like it and it’s a great gaming headset. I recommend.

This headset is amazing. The quality is premium, and I love the look and feel of every part of it. I especially like the ability to remove the microphone, since it isn't something I need very often and don't like having to move it around all the time. In this case, you get what you pay for and I think it is a great value at any price. I'm a huge fan of Razer and this just makes me more eager to buy their products in the future. 5 stars!

So starting to wfh and needed my own headset as the one they provided is worth the $5 they spent. I speak to elderly customers all day so having clarity is a must.
These just delivered and the quick setup on my personal laptop has been super easy. I’m a little nervous how it’ll be on my company owned cpu but hoping for the best! (Will certainly update if needed)
Nevertheless, in testing the fit it is so comfortable from the top of my head to the comfort of my ears. Definitely lightweight, cushion right where you need it, and my ears can breathe with the material. Sigh of relief!
As far as audio for music, not impressed. Biggest reason is zero bass. I’m still researching if there is an equalizer option via app but so far no luck.

The first thing I noticed about the Barracuda X Chroma was their light weight for a headset. The light weight combined with the medium clamping force, in addition to the supple foam of the large oval ear cups, makes for a very comfortable wearing experience.
At the time of review, Razer Synapse didn't recognize the Barracuda X Chroma headset. Due to this, I was unable to test custom EQs and lighting features.
The stock sound profile for the 40mm drivers has a “dynamic” profile with subtile lows and good clarity. The sound stage EQ can be changed by a button on the headset with a noticeable impact on sound quality. Overall these are not bass biased phones, instead tuned to deliver a clean balanced experience.
The detachable mic sounded fine, but I wouldn't recommend it for recording, only voice chat.
Controls are all located on the left speaker ear pod and include (from back to front) a mute button, volume wheel, power button, type C port, function toggle multi switch, and the mic jack.
Connectivity through bluetooth and wireless both performed as expected. The wireless USB performance had low latency with about a 10m range. Like with bluetooth, you must pair to the wireless dongle inserted in the PC. It's not just plug and play. A quick function toggle button is included on the headset for bluetooth to wireless switching, but you can only use listen to one sound source at a time. This button also switches between EQ balances. It is also used for both bluetooth and wireless pairing. I recommend reading the included quick start poster.
These do a great job of blocking out noise even without ANC, better than most earplugs. They also do this without high head clamping force. Others sitting around the wearer do not hear the audio in the headphones either, they are very much sealed/isolated from the environment.
The ring around the outside of the ear cup and the razer logo in the center have diffused RGB lighting. You can also turn the RGB off if you want to extend the battery life to the full claimed 70 hrs.
A 5ft type C to C cable (with braided wrapping) was included along with a type C female to A male adaptor, in addition to the type C wireless dongle. A sticker pack and soft fabric carrying bag are also present.
Overall these are a very comfortable lightweight headset. The sound quality is decent with mid tier performance. The construction has a quality fit and finish conveying a classy, clean, and polished simple look (until you flip on the rgb).

This arrives packed well in a very nice Razer box. It was somewhat difficult removing the headset without tearing the outer box, but I did in successfully. The headset and attachments were all in perfect shape. Included in the box is the headset, the detachable mic, a wireless dongle, a USB C to USB A adapter, A USB charging cable, a manual, and some nice Razer stickers.
I am going to do this review in pro and con sort of way. The short story is there is only two cons. One may be related to my particular setup, and the other depends on what part of the headband is constructed of, as I do not know. I will explain further below.
First, the Pros:
1) Excellent construction except possibly for one thing, which is listed in cons below.
2) Very light weight. You hardly know your wearing a headset.
3) Cloth ear pads and head band padding. Very comfortable.
4) Controls all on ear cups and easy to use.
5) RGB is fantastic! You can adjust it in the Synapse 4 software and it is bright and beautiful!
6) Synapse 4 worked mostly ok with this headset. There are many presets to adjust the sound quality (Gaming, music, movies, custom), and these can also be switched from a button right on the headset.
7) Battery life is very long, which I think is amazing for such a light weight headset. You can also use the headset while it is plugged in and charging, but I ran into some weird issues with this which I will talk about under cons.
8) The removable mic is great. Tested it in Discord and was told I sounded clear and they heard me without issue.
9) Most important thing of all, sound quality. It is fantastic! I prefer the music setting but it sounds great on any setting. The sounds are well separated and clear. There is depth and the bass is great, not over powering. I would say its near perfect!
Cons:
1) There is metal in the headband for head size adjustment and it seems very sturdy, which is great. I am unsure, however, if this metal extends to where the ear cups swivel for comfort. There must be some sort of ball joint there. If the metal head band adjustment extends to this and there is a metal ball joint, that would be a good thing. If that ball joint is plastic, that would be a bad thing and a possible place for future failure. It seems quite smooth and I notice no issues. I just cannot tell what it is made out of and I hope its metal.
2) I had some strange things happen in Synapse 4, which may be related to how my setup is, but I do not really know. What happened was when I first used the headset I had the USB charging cable plugged in as well as the wireless dongle and it worked fine. This headset only works through the wireless connection so that dongle must always be in a USB slot to use the headset (unless your using Blue Tooth which I do not do). Now, I also had a Razer Kraken V4 Pro connected to my computer at the same time, but it was off. The Razer Barracuda worked fine this way until I went to test the mic in Discord.
First try testing the mic, Discord saw the Barracuda headset correctly in both input and output, but talking yielded no sound. What I came to realize is that for some reason the headset was on but Synapse 4 said it was off. I tried turning it on and off and a few other things, but nothing worked, it would not connect. What did work, and I have no idea why, was trying to connect the headset while it was just on battery and not plugged in with the USB charging cable. Then it connected and everything worked fine, and Discord worked fine and I could talk and be clearly heard.
What I am confused about is why did the headset work, at least for listening to games and music, while it was plugged in charging, but when I went to use Discord and talk it got disconnected from Synapse 4 until I took the headset off the charging cable. I don't really understand as I didn't have this issue with any other Razer headset.
When I switched back to my Razer Kraken V4 Pro, I had to reboot the computer before that would work again while using the charging cable.
That is the only two cons I have. I don't know what is going on with the Synapse 4 software. If I were to guess in this instance it does not like two wireless headsets plugged in at the same time, even if one is off.
You can use this headset just fine without installing the Synapse 4 software, but you lose a bit of functionality and customization in the process. Still, its an option.
I am really torn between rating this headset between a 4 and a 5. I went with 4 although the Synapse software issue might be related to how I was doing things. Overall this is a very nice headset and I do not think anyone would be disappointed with it.

Pros:
- Chroma lighting is crisp. App control is innovative, but honestly if I'm at my PC, I'd rather just control it in synapse
- Compact USB C dongle is nice. Adapter is also compact.
- Detachable Mic
- Mic quick mute button
- Volume control
- Hyperclear mic sounds REALLY good
Cons:
- Synapse. Bloated and slow.
- Sound quality.
I'm going to stick to my Sennheiser PC38x. Much better soundstage, balanced sound signature, mic isn't as good, open-back (I can hear ambient noises better) and no charging needed.
Compared to my Razer Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed (Triforce 50mm Titanium drivers), these have a similar sound signature but a smaller soundstage. Little harder to tell the direction of enemies and such, but it's still decent. No where near as good as my PC38x though.
Build quality is OK. PC38X (253 grams) are plasticky and feel kinda cheap. Blackshark V2 (280g) is better with the leather-wrapped bits, but maybe that will degrade over time. These (285g) are kinda plasticky but are comfortable and breathe well.
Summary: These are OK if you want bluetooth / 2.4ghz quick switching and RGB. Personally, I'd rather just stay on 2.4ghz all the time for better sound quality and then have a bigger internal battery, even if that makes the headset heavier.
