IP54 Water Rating, Good capability at the right price point, but not good with water (rain)

I really liked the price point and functionality of this viewfinder. It is not good with water (IP54). It rained while I was golfing, not a torrential downpour, and it is now unusable. I did not pay attention to the water rating, this device is not rated to what I need. I was seriously surprised on how quickly it became wet inside, foggy and unusable. I tried a hair dryer and letting it sit in the sun, but that water is trapped inside and I cannot view anything through the lens. FYSA as you make your selection - if you live in AZ, you're probably fine, in Florida? Not so much.

Sorry, shipping and handling, false advertising

First of all, this rangefinder was shipped improperly! The rangefinder was placed. Inside of its carrying pouch in the carrying pouch was inside of the manufacturers box with no soft packing around the instrument.

Second of all, the manufacturer claimed that this item was very stable when shooting the target, this is false. When shooting your target, which in my case is a flag on a golf course on a green, it is almost impossible to hold the instrument still enough to get an accurate reading making it almost impossible to use. If I could set up a tripod and had a remote trigger, it would be very accurate. I’m giving this instrument a 3 star rating for that reason.

Great customer service from their care team.

I bought this less than a year ago and when I pulled it out for my first round this year nothing. The battery was fully charged, but it wouldn’t give any distances. Luckily I had a cheaper one I got from temu in my bag and it worked perfectly.

I am changing and adding to my review. I contacted the customer service number and the woman that answered couldn’t have been nicer. She confirmed my purchase and sent me a replacement rangefinder. I only had to fill out a form once it arrived and return the defective one.

Make the putt!

It’s a pretty good product for the money!

Lightweight, Fast, and Accurate on the Course

This device is lightweight, making it easy to carry during play. The compact size fits comfortably in one hand, and the magnetic clip on the back allows you to attach it to a cart for convenient use. The measuring speed is fast and accurate, so it doesn’t slow down your game. The slope feature works smoothly and helps calculate precise distances on the course. With clear optics and USB Type-C charging, it offers great performance and value for beginners to intermediate players.

Confidence Booster⛳️

Great rangefinder for the money. You can confidently hit shots knowing the exact distances. Super strong magnetic too.

4/5 only because of the size. If it was bigger so my hands wouldn’t shake when trying to shoot distances it’d be 5/5.

Helpful tip: Put your car keys in the rangefinder case when golfing so you never forget it on the cart.

Just as good!

Great rangefinder for the price! Seems to give accurate repeatable info. The vibration is nice to know when you’re locked on. Glass is clear!

Fantastic Customer Service

The rangefinder worked very well until it stopped charging. I contacted customer service who walked me through the troubleshooting process. When nothing worked to fix it they said, "Sorry for your trouble we are mailing you a new rangefinder." It got here in three days free of charge. If I could give six stars I would, not because the product is perfect, but because that kind of customer service is incredibly hard to find in this day and age.

Good enough for my game!

Best range finder!

I'm thoroughly impressed with this range finder! It's packed with features that have significantly improved my game. I put it to the test at the driving range, and I was blown away by its accuracy in measuring distances. The readings were consistently spot-on, giving me the confidence to make more precise shots.

One feature that really stands out is the flag stabilizer. I've struggled with locating flags at longer distances in the past, but this range finder makes it a breeze. The stabilizer helps to lock onto the flag, even in challenging conditions, and provides a clear and steady reading.

Overall, I think this range finder is an excellent value for the money. It's easy to use, accurate, and has features that genuinely enhance your game. Whether you're a seasoned pro or an amateur looking to improve, this range finder is definitely worth considering. Its accuracy, reliability, and innovative features make it a valuable addition to any golfer's arsenal.

Best addition to my golf bag

I have been so happy my new RedTiger rangefinder. It looks so clean and I love the way it looks on my bag. The magnet makes it so convenient to just attach it to a club head so it’s always ready for use when I need it. The magnet is also really strong so I feel confident it is secured. This was my first rangefinder as a new golfer and it was so easy to learn how to use it. I’ve used it on the course and it has really helped me figure out what clubs to play. The interface is simple and easy to read. The image quality is perfect. I shopped around and I felt like this was going to be a great product for an affordable price. Very happy with my new RedTiger rangefinder.

Moisture inside

Bought on prime day. Played one round and on my second round. There's moisture inside. Steer clear.

Range finder.

Beautiful range finder. Works great!

Big disappointment

Worked for about 4 rounds, now won't read distance at all. Wasted money, should have just spent the money on a reputable brand.

Game changer!

I don't play golf, I don't do peer pressure. I'm not impressed nor will I pay extra to advertise for a Brand name.

That said, I do know a bit about tech. After reading and comparing specs & features. This unit far exceeds the Calloway in every category except your wallet.

So, I took a chance &

bought it for my Son. He played golf on Sunday with the name brand crowd. After a few holes, they were asking him for the correct "slope" & accurate distance. This unit destroyed the Calloway and the bushnell on the course. As shown In the pic. It's the only one being displayed. In addition to the "specs" . It has the magnetic clip, a hard case, it's waterproof & it comes with a 2 year warranty . Here's a tip.. Calloway makes golf clubs. They don't make range finders.

Don't follow the trend.. Start your own..

Absolutely a smart purchase.

5 ⭐'z from me. ⛳

Easy to use, accurate

I am new to the game of golf, so I look for any device that will help me get an edge. The REDTIGER golf rangefinder is a great way to measure distance, angles and slopes on the course.

The rangefinder comes with several accessories, including a carry case, a strong magnet belt clip, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a cleaning cloth, a carabiner, a wrist strap, and an instruction manual. The rangefinder charges in about an hour and gives several hours of use. It has a maximum range of 1200 yards which is plenty for any golf course. They also label this rangefinder as a hunting rangefinder which is why the 1200 yards could be useful. I use this purely for golf, so that distance is not necessary for me.

Using the rangefinder is very easy. There is a power button on top which turns on the display within the eye piece. The eye piece has a twist “knob” to focus that helps you see the text on the screen. When you are ready to check a distance, you aim at the object and press the powered button quickly and it will give you the readings on the screen. Pretty basic at its core, but there are several different modes for more advanced users. As a beginning golfer, I am just trying to measure the distance from my current position to the hole, so that I can choose the proper club. Based on my experience, the range is quite accurate.

I really like the strong magnet that was included in the rangefinder. The rangefinder itself has a very strong magnet that can be used to attach it to a golf cart. If you would prefer to have the rangefinder attached to you, it comes with a very strong magnetized belt clip. Personally, I do not like to wear the rangefinder because it gets in the way while I'm playing. But having the option is really nice.

The other accessory that I like is the wrist strap. There's nothing worse than dropping $100 accessory on the ground so having it attached to my wrist while using is a very nice feature. I do not really understand the point of the carabiner, as there is no place to attach it to the rangefinder itself.

Overall, I am very happy with the REDTIGER rangefinder. It provides me all the basic information I need to be more accurate on the golf course. It includes all the necessary accessories to carry the rangefinder and keep it safe while playing. At its current price point of $110, it is less expensive than some of the more major name brand competitors, which gives it a good value. If you are looking for an entry level golf rangefinder, the REDTIGER rangefinder is a great option.

This rangefinder is AWAESOME!

Unboxing is where you first start to understand this is a quality product and not some cheap Chinese junk. High quality box, packed with precision. Great graphics on the box. All of the included items will make your use of the rangefinder just that much easier.

Played my first round with it yesterday. It was a pleasure. Adjustable focus on the eyepiece makes it easy to take advantage of the 7X magnification. Locking on the flagpole is instant. It was my first time with a slope calculating finder and I'm happy to have it; makes dialing in your shots much easier. The magnet is VERY strong and a super useful addition. I could not be happier. Using the included coupon at the time of purchase made this the best $89 golf purchase I've ever made.

Inaccurate

I’ve had this range finder for a few months now. At first glance I thought it was nice for the price. After hitting several shots short or so I thought, come to find out my range finder is off by almost 20 yards. I didn’t believe it at first but I’ve checked it’s consistency with multiple other range finders as well as the built in GPS on my main golf courses carts

Great Rangefinder with Many Features!

I'm very impressed with this rangefinder! From the packaging to the unit itself. It has features that usually cost hundreds of dollars more, like vibe lock, slope & a built-in magnet. It has a belt clip and rechargeable battery. It looks like the Bushnell units that sell in the$300-$500 range, and it has the same features that really work!

This is so nice don't hesitate to get one for your avid golfer as a gift 🎁. Definitely recommended!

Great gift

Great gift for a golfer or even a hunter. My Husband loves it. Great gift for the guy who has everything. Good for a pro or amateur. Highly recommend.

Good quality and nice features for the price!

This seems to be a very solid rangefinder so far, especially for the reasonable price. Attractive colors and case, easy to use, very clear instructions, rechargeable with included USB-C cable, and plenty of features. This model has the standard rangefinder features such as distance, slope, flag lock, vibration, plus extras like ballistic mode, speed, and built in magnetic siding. Some of these additional features make it usable for hunting as well as golf, though I have not tried it for that purpose, just for golf. The magnetic feature is very handy and strong (simply stick to golf cart or metal part of bag), and it also included a magnetic clip if you want to attach to your belt for easy access or onto a part of your golf bag that way. Standard accessories include charging cable, attractive and durable protective case, lens cleaning cloth, lanyard strap and carabiner clip, and very clear instruction manual. With good quality and easy to operate features, this rangefinder is a very good value for the price.

Great Design and Functionality!

Basic use:

This range finder works like a telescope or a pair of binoculars, as it allows seeing things further away even when turned off. When turned on, this device not only helps with determining distance and slope or terrain while golfing, but can determine speed of moving objects. It even has a button to turn off slope detection so it can be used legally in a professional golf tournament. I really love the practicality and many uses of this device.

Practicality

I love how this device works and how it has a variety of options with both its many modes it can use and also the included parts such as a magnetic clip, strap, and other parts. By having the option to strap this device onto a belt loop or pocket with the included magnetic belt clip, or use the wrist strap to simply hold it, this device really goes above and beyond to not just do its job, but be convenient to bring along. Another small bonus is it uses a very common USB C cable to charge and comes with an included cord, although it already had power when I tried it out for the first time. I found that very impressive!

Presentation

Ever since I opened the box, I could tell this was a a very professional product. It was very well packaged and designed in a very practical way. Some products feel cheap or don’t focus much on the presentation and design; however, this range finder really went above and beyond on both packaging and presentation. The actual product feels very premium and has a great design, and the included parts allow it to be stored and used however is most convenient.

Overall I am extremely impressed with this range finder, I look forward to taking it with me whenever I go to the golf course, and would definitely recommend it.
