List of contents further on... I think this is the best book you can get for a baby/toddler to grow with thru childhood. I see it as an all-in-one that sort of cancels the need of so many other books. You buy kids 100 first words, ABC, 123, jobs, storybooks, etc. This has so many of those books checked off the list. Lots of pages with lots of items on them with a word label. Cute traditional illustrations. wholesome. No agendas just simplicity. Hardback with paper. My copy is brand new as claimed. I got it on sale, even when not it is an awesome value. I can't believe it is not more popular or that anyone could give it a bad review. I got this for my new baby. Works great with minimalist ideas. We've had a gazillion children's books in our home and I'm sure this will go down as one of them I'm happiest I invested in.

A childhood favorite!!

My parents bought me this book back in the late 1970's when I was a child. I had that book for 15 years before it fell apart from years of use. Then about three years ago I saw it on sale here and I wanted a new copy so I ordered it. Now I sometimes read it for my younger students, an entire generation who never knew Richard Scarry's books. I saw another one online that I will order soon. This book is an integral part of my childhood.

Classic Richard Scarry, GREAT Variety

This book is by far my favorite children's book! I purchased for my 2 year old & we both enjoy it. I am very happy with the variety of topics, stories, & rhymes in this book. The artwork is beautiful, if you are a fan of Richard Scarry, the artwork will not disappoint! There's really cute stories about the seasons & each month of the year (among others). Scattered throughout are Mother Goose rhymes, the typical picture dictionary pages that RS is known for like daily routine, on the farm, etc. Attached is a picture example of such pages. I grew up on Richard Scarry books & it is so much fun to see my daughter discovering him as well. I hope she has great memories of these books/stories as I do.

Arrived damaged!

A few pages inside were creased and damaged. Quite random and the outside book was not damaged. Rather disappointed, had to return!
