I’ve been very happy with this outage alarm detector so far. The setup was straightforward and it connected to WiFi without any issues. Notifications are fast and reliable, which is exactly what I needed. It’s especially useful for checking on power outages remotely when I’m not home. Small device but very useful. Highly recommend.

We have very touchy breakers and when there is a hint of a storm coming our lights blink on and off. However, the breakers for the heavy duty appliances like the freezer, refrigerator and dryer trip off and stay off. That's not a problem if you are home to go out and flip them back on. But we travel a lot and do not want to come home to a soupy, stinky, thawed meat bath on the floor. We installed the RisingLink Alarm to our refrigerator circuit and our freezer circuit so we can be notified by text and email that the power has gone off and has come back on. If those circuits don't come back on, we know it and can call our neighbor to come in and flip the breakers. Super easy to instll - just plug it in the wall outlet. Gives us peace of mind.

I just threw this in the trash after spending thirty minutes trying to connect it. I ordered two power failure alarms without the wi-fi that will sound the alarm for 12 hours. Adequate time to figure out the freezer has no power.

Well I have an outdoor Refrigerator on my patio and it's on a GFI circuit and if it gets any resistance at all whether the power goes off and back on from a storm or sometimes on a very humid day it can trip which causes the power to the refrigerator to turn off. It can happen anytime day or night or when I'm not home. So I found these units and boy what a relief and they are so cool.They are simple to set up and work Great.When the power goes out on the Refrigerator I get a Text and an email almost immediately as well as my wife letting us know that the Refrigerator is off.If the Power comes right back on and hasn't tripped the breaker it again tells us.How cool is that.The second unit I have plugged in to a wall outlet so that if the whole house Power is off we'll know and if we're not able to get back we can call a friend to check it out.The only problem with that set up is if the power is out the modem and router are also out so to fix that I have a battery backup unit that they are plugged into that works fantastic also one on the Television.So the power flicker on and off the other day while I was watching TV and the lights went off around the house,the TV stayed on and didn't miss a beat and my phone went off telling me that the power was off and as soon as it came back on again new notifications.

Bought the Risinglink Power Failure Alarm device after all of the electric outlets, which are GFI, in our garage went out due to an overload with a power device. Because our freezer, which is filled with expensive food is in the garage, we could have lost everything.
Now, with the Risinglink Power Failure Alarm installed, we get an alert if the garage electric outlets go out again. Because Wifi is available in the garage and we have a generator that comes on automatically if all electricity goes out, we are all set.
Just remember that WiFi is needed to get alarm messages!

I love this, Risinglink Power Failure Detector! In the past few years, we have had our breaker trip that goes to the basement where we have an extra refrigerator and a full freezer. Both times we lost everything in both units, thousands of dollars of food.
It happened again about a month ago, and I was determined to go online and find something that would alert me if that breaker ever trips again. Well, I found it!! And what I like so much about this particular Risinglink device, is that you get a text message and an email instantly, if your power goes out. You can also add another person to the account, so both my wife and myself will get these alerts.
As you can see, I connected it to my GFI, which goes right to the breaker that services the electricity to the basement, where our freezer and refrigerator stands.
I also want to add, that I had several questions about this when I was setting it up, as I am NOT a tech person at all! I must have sent 10 or 12 different emails to the customer service department. Each time, they responded very quickly, with detailed instructions on how to solve my question or problem. If you buy this unit from them, do not hesitate to email their customer service department, as they will walk you through everything you need to know, to get this device operational. They have an A+ level of customer service!!

I used this product to make sure my power stayed on while I was incubating some expensive python eggs. I had looked at some other ways of monitoring them while I was at work but this ended up working great and putting my my mind at ease.
It is very easy to set up but will need a hotspot or wifi connection where the device is placed to receive text or email messages. I used a cheap straight talk hotspot and it works great with that.
I will probably buy another one in the future.

I lost the power monitor install instructions! 😱☺️ Their tech support had it working in a couple of minutes.😁 Great support, fantastic product. Saved $1000.00 worth of frozen food. This is the best investment you'll make. I'm going to buy another to monitor my work shed power as well.

This device is reliable and works as described. Not difficult to install but some computer network understanding helps. CUSTOME SERVICE IS IMMEDIATE AND TERIFFIC! Noah Jiang is so very helpful and full of knowledge. He is also very kind. I cannot say enough good things about Noah!
Emails are received immediately when there is a power outage. EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED.
However, some carriers like mine (T-Mobile) do not prioritize "email to text" messages very well, so text messages can be delayed.
Oveall, however, five STARS for an innovative device that reallyworks well.

It works exactly as advertised. Setup is very easy and straight forward. If you know how to connect your phone to your home WiFi router, you will not have any issue to setup this device. I input 2 emails and 2 phones (my wife's and mine) during setup. All of them receive the alert messages after setup. The audible alarm is a big plus for me.
Had a question after setup and just sent email to their support (information in the user manual). Surprisely I still got the reply from their support team in the weekend! Well designed product exceeding expectation, and very good price!

I bought this product couple of months before after doing a lot of research for a product that can issue alerts whenever our garage GFC is tripped. The reason is we have our freezer in the garage getting power from GFC and I don't want to waste the food just because we were not aware that GFC is tripped. The device seems a little expensive but if it saves you from a big possible hassle then it is worth it. In less than two months since I bought this device so far 3 times, my GFC tripped during a thunderstorm, and because of this device, we came to know immediately about it. I have also added my kid's email and phone numbers to the alerts so that they can take the action when I am away. Basically, you will get two messages, one when GFC loses power and the second when power is back. I am copying here the latest messages which I received when the last time out GFC tripped .

This product has some additional features which are exactly what I was looking for. It could detect the power failure within 3 seconds, and send out the alert immediately. It won't ingore the short duration power failure fluctuation, so that the potential issue may be brought to my attention before it makes big trouble. Other power failure alarm devices may ignore the short duration power failure fluctuation, only allow one alert message every minute, or wait several minutes to send out the alert message.
It includes a 85dB buzzer, which is another feature I like. In case there is WiFi/Internet outage, I could still hear the audio alarm. It also has a green LED to indicate the power.
Setup was VERY easy and quick. Did a few tests after setup by switching on/off power outlet, and my T-Mobile cell phone received the alert messages every time. It works perfectly. I would definitely recommend this device.
