I’ve been very impressed with this keyboard. It feels like a solid build, has a nice little weight to it which I prefer. The clicks are very creamy and feels like your fingers are making love to it when typing! The sounds scratches the right part of my autism, it comes off very soothing. Definitely a good choice if you want a good keyboard under $100!

Please excuse my videography skills, but I figured it would be helpful to hear how the keyboard sounds typing regularly! This is the smoothest keyboard I've ever used in my life. It's got suuuch a nice click feel, like you're really clicking a button, and I love the creamy noises it makes. Someone mentioned that the space bar doesn't have the same noise as the rest of the keys, which I agree with. It's a lower click than the rest of the keys, but I got used to it pretty quick! This keyboard is amazing in my opinion. I also really like the fact that it has customizable lights behind the keys and it comes with replacement parts in case you want to switch out the key caps or something breaks. I've been looking for a keyboard for so long and I'm so glad I made this purchase. I also really like the little dial. It just adjusts my volume since I just use the keyboard for work, but it's nice! :)

I was looking for a wireless keyboard and I opted for this one given the good references. I can say that I find its Bluetooth connection very useful, wired and by 2.4GHz, I find it very complete in connectivity. It is illuminated and the intensity of its light can be regulated, which seems perfect to me. The keyboard is a little heavy but it feels good quality. The keys are soft and maybe a little noisy if you type a lot, keep that in mind. For the price it seems to me a very good option, I would recommend it without a doubt.

Beautiful keyboard. I do use this strictly for work and love the sound of the keyboard. It is a creamy sound but I do not like the sound of the space bar it doesn’t match the rest of sound. But it is a functional keyboard.
Battery life lasts as long as it states and there is no lag when connecting. The color of the keys were bright and it is fade resistant.

Al inicio tuve una experiencia negativa porque el primer paquete llegó dañado, con un mal embalaje y algunos switches fuera de lugar. Sin embargo, el vendedor tomó mi caso con mucha seriedad, lo revisó de cerca y, para asegurar mi satisfacción, me envió un nuevo teclado en perfectas condiciones.
Esto me sorprendió gratamente, ya que nunca antes me había sucedido algo así. Su compromiso con el cliente marcó la diferencia. Después de una larga espera, ahora sí puedo entregar el regalo que tenía pensado, con la tranquilidad de que el producto llegó impecable.

Good keyboard. Comparing it to my old Ducky Brown full sized keyboard. Gonna have to get used to not having the Home and End keys but it's creamy tactile feel makes up for it. It's easy to install and set up. Instructions are easy to understand. Colors are nice and bright!

Sorry this isn’t a professional grade video but I figured it’d be helpful if y’all could more easily find a video for the sound. So many different settings for the backlight control, it feels and sounds wonderful, so many factors that make this so convenient. And it looks super cute.

This review is for the RK ROYAL KLUDGE R98 Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. This is a 3-mode (2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, Wired) full-sized keyboard with RGB backlight and volume knob in the upper right corner. The key switches are pre-lubed tactile beige switches and have an operating force of 40+/-10gf. In the box comes the keyboard (+ dongle (in magnetic slot) on the back of keyboard), key switch puller, key-cap tool, USB-A to USB-C cable, 4x beige switches, End key, and instruction booklet.

My first impressions out of the box are that I’m very impressed. The keyboard is a constructed of a plastic housing but is built well, but does have a little flex if you attempt to twist it a bit. There’s no noticeable flex when typing. The keys are mildy muted but have a clicky-thock to them. I would rate these beige switches as medium actuation. They aren’t firm but they certainly aren’t light either. Definitely somewhere in the middle. I’ve primarily been using 2.4 GHz mode around 10 feet from my TV. No issues with lag, latency or interference weirdness (delay or hitting a key and it enters 20 times). My family room is prone to 2.4 GHz interference and I’ve seen it on many devices previously, but not at all on this one.
I’ve tested all 3 modes and there’s no noticeable differences between them. A technical test would likely show differences but on the surface there’s no noticeable latency with any of the modes.
Minor subjective minor gripes:
The volume knob is convenient and useful but it’s positioned very close the PGDN button. Not a big deal but a little extra separation would have been better. The beige switches are a touch firm for my liking and aren’t as smooth as I’d like, but the switches can easily be swapped for another of my choosing. And they are very easy to pull and replace.
Overall, it’s a good keyboard at a good price. It looks really good, has a lot of features and performs very well. It’s a solid 4.5/5 for me so I’m rounding it to 5. Definitely shop around and look at other comparable models, but I can recommend this one.

I am blown away by this keyboard! It might be one of my favorites ever. I have used dozens of different mechanical keyboards over the years, and this one may be my absolute favorite for daily use.
The size of this keyboard is perfect. It has full-size keys and a full number pad but trims out some of the unnecessary keys that a full keyboard would have. This results in a slightly more compact size but still offers the same functionality as a full keyboard for most use cases. As a WFH employee who does a lot of typing (and quite a bit with the num pad) I appreciate this.
The build quality and key feel are just excellent. The key travel and clickiness of the switches are very satisfying and not grating to listen to whatsoever. The keys themselves have a super pleasant smooth but still textured feel to them and are a pleasure to use. The keys are also easy to remove if needed for cleaning or hot swapping the switch, which I appreciate. The backlight gets fairly bright and does not shine through the keys which I personally prefer, though if you are using this in a dark room, you may not be able to see the keys as well.
This keyboard features a variety of connectivity modes, all of which are seamless and easy to configure. You can of course use the keyboard plugged in via the USB-C cable. It also provides Bluetooth connectivity and connecting via an included 2.4 GHz receiver. I appreciate that the connectivity modes are controlled by a physical rocker switch (between "B" mode for BT, USB-C mode, and "G" mode for the receiver) and not a keystroke combination, and the visualizations the board provides for "pairing" are handy as well. I also like that this keyboard provides the ability to check battery status by holding down FN & Enter. I haven't personally seen this before, but I really like it!
But the features continue! A variety of RGB modes - breathing, static, reactive, pulsing, rain, and many more are included and look great. You can set a fully custom backlight too if you want. Their brightness is easily adjustable too, and it is easy to turn the brightness down to zero if you prefer not to use the backlights. The status indicators, such as for charging or Num Lock are bright but not distractingly so, and I love that they keyboard includes a volume knob - which worked seamlessly in all three modes. The included user manual goes in depth on all of the functions and is very easy to understand.
This is just an amazingly feature-rich keyboard that looks, sounds, feels, and functions perfectly. The cyan colorway is not something I'd typically spring for but has grown on me immediately and looks cool with my retro-themed "Windows 95 green" PC. Royal Kludge really nailed it with this one, and this is probably the easiest keyboard recommendation I will ever make. Pick one of these up, you will love it!

I am a long time user of Royal Kludge keyboards. And there's a reason for that and this keyboard is no different.
It is built very solidly, with a great solid feel when you hold it. It has heft to it, but that's good because that prevents it from being thrown about as you type. All the keycaps and the volume knob feel solid with no play.
The switch feels great as well with it not being super loud, while remaining fairly tactile enough. The keyboard also supports 3 different modes of connection (bluetooth, wireless dongle, and wired), which is always great to see, and I primarily use the wireless dongle, and I have no connection or latency problems.
Overall, this is a great keyboard if you're looking to get a compact keyboard with full number pad and a great functionality.
