Worth it in my opinion

I bought this speaker as a backup one, I love Rokform products as I own a Rokform iPhone 13 max phone case and it has been amazing for the last 4 years. This speaker is amazing and great for around the house, my favorite thing are the magnetics. My one and only con is the volume it isn’t as loud as my 3 year old JBL flip 6 but it is amazing. It was easy to use, portable and works great, for the price it is understandable that it isn’t as loud as others. I did get the sd card to work, as I am attaching a short video of it

This' a "golf cart" speaker?

My Pinsoon BT speaker (see video) was purchased for all of $16.98 24 months ago. It is sans magnets, but the sound is amazing! It's loud, durable, and has a long lasting battery as well. I don't need the magnets and would love to by another, but the company was bought out in China. Pinsoon is now RokForm at $100.00 a pop, but not worth that ripoff price! Wealthy folks go ahead. Regular folk? Well ....

Great for golfing, sound works well and it being magnetic works well. Only negative is the plus and minus signs are to change the song instead of the volume.

Unbelievable sound...

Mounted this on my golf cart. Download several hundred 50-60’s music on a miniature sd chip. The most unbelievable sound coming from such a small self contained unit. One of the best purchases I have ever made. Don’t hesitate, buy it. I paid full price and I haven’t been offered anything for my review.

Amazing

I really didn’t know what to expect ... I have tons of Bluetooth speakers, and figured I would buy these mainly because of the magnets. These things are LOUD! People complain bout the Bass but I don’t find it terrible at all. It serves its purpose and I bought 2 to get the stereo effect for my Cart. I don’t have a golfing cart, mine is for casual neighborhood use, but love being able to ride around and have music that actually sounds good. I originally bought a Bazooka, but @ $500 it takes up a lot of space and these sound perfect and I saved $300 for its intended purpose. Don’t hesitate on these, it really is a perfect setup for the intended purpose.

Very good choice for most people; audio snobs likely left wanting in some way

My husband was quite happy with the first one I bought, so he ended up buying another in order to pair the two—not so much bc it was necessary for the golf course or riding around, but more so just to indulge and have two. Glad we did.

To start, as others have mentioned the magnets are very strong and come in handy. We’ve stuck the paired speakers to the fences at our kids’ Pop Warner football or baseball & softball fields. Depending on the sport, we play family-friendly warm-up music, such as "Take Me Out to Ballgame" for baseball/softball, before their games. The kids, coaches & parents love it. We've been asked about the speaker brand, where we got them, etc.

To be clear, they are nowhere near the loudness of high school or professional stadium speakers, but for your average little league baseball and softball fields, two of these speakers paired together are certainly loud enough for the crowd to enjoy. Football fields are much bigger, so if folks are on the opposite side of the field or you’re in one end zone and your team scores in the other end zone, they might not hear the music all that well. We care more about our kids’ teams and fellow parents than the other team though, so we haven’t tested either scenario and are just guessing about that. But for little league, with the speakers along the backstops about 25 ft away from each other facing the field the whole crowd behind home and the dugouts can still hear the music without it being too deafening.

The pics show they can take a beating. The scratches and bumps are from sports stuff being thrown on or around them. Helmets, baseball bats & bats, etc. They’ve also slipped out of our hands a few times as we load up the kids. Hold up just fine! The paint does come off pretty easily if the top, non-magnet side is scraped against a rough metal edge and the metal mesh of the speak can dent easily if you drop it, etc. So if you're prone to drop or scrape it and visual damage will bother you (see attached pics for an idea), keep that in mind. The speakers work just fine despite the scrapes and dents--in the golf cart, we put it up on the top horizontal roof support (rather the vertical roof support) where it's mostly out of sight for us.

Only other negative is although the sound is pretty good quality IMO, it clearly does not have the crispness or deep bass levels of Bose or Sonos, etc. While it's obviously a more affordable option, we do think it could be slightly better in those regards--not necessarily on Bose & Sonos level, but somewhere in between would make it amazing. So going with 4 stars, but we are very happy; and again, we bought a 2nd one.

Overall, unless you’re an “audio snob”, we think you’d be pretty happy given the price point.

Best speaker for the golf cart

Absolutely the best speaker for the golf cart. You have finally found the speaker you were looking for!!

Better than expected

I'll start with a little TL:DR first in case people just want the pros and cons instead of reading a long review...

Pros:

1. Super strong magnets (guaranteed they are stronger than you expect).

2. Extremely rugged design keeps you from worrying about whether or not you need a case for it.

3. The speaker gets extremely loud.

4. Waterproof latch for the interface is better than any others I've come across.

5. Has a micro SD slot in case you go out where you can't stream music.

Cons:

1. Low end leaves you wanting more.

2. No app to allow you to mess with the EQ.

This is actually much better than I expected! I bought this to replace an older Oontz bluetooth speaker that I had for awhile. The speaker still worked but it didn't really hold a charge that well anymore and when I was out on course it would cut in and out a bit. I chose to go with this speaker over buying a new Oontz (which I actually loved) because I didn't want to have to deal with a strap or anything in order to clip it on to a golf cart and this speaker looked like it was a lot more rugged. After opening the package the first two things I did was test the magnet strength and test the speaker itself. The magnet is a huge pro on this speaker, I have a computer desk I built and the legs are made out of welded 2" square steel tubing. I didn't expect the magnets to be all the strong so I went to place it against my desk leg to test it, as soon as I got it close the magnets ripped the speaker out of my hand and attached to my desk leg. That was good on its own but the surprise came when I tried to pull it back off. With the amount of force I had to use to pull it off, I don't care how bumpy the paths, fairways, or roughs are at your local course, they aren't knocking this thing free.

Sound is where a lot of people are going to be concerned probably. This thing gets super loud, so loud that I actually didn't even test it above 50% volume. There's no distortion with how loud it's getting and unless your course is saying cart path only and you happen to hit it on the other side of the fairway, you're not having a problem hearing your music through this. There's only one downside but it's definitely not enough to take away a star, the low end is a bit lacking. I usually pride myself on having very good audio and I usually like my audio equipment to have a pretty flat response curve that way I can use whatever EQ I have in order to change it up the way I like it. This has extremely crispy highs, above average mids, but the lows are where it starts to fall off. I doubt this would be an issue for me out on course though.

The other did huge pros for me that were completely unexpected and though small, are pretty big creature comfort things are the door for the outlets and the micro SD reader that I didn't know was on this speaker. The waterproof door that covers the AUX port, the charging port, and the micro SD reader shuts with a satisfying click letting you know that it is truly shut. It also is a bit hard to open, which with something like this, is a very good thing. You know that it's not just going to pop itself open randomly. As far as the micro SD reader, this wasn't something I was expecting nor it was something I thought I needed but it's definitely something I can see myself using in the future. I tend to try out as many golf courses as I can and that sometimes leads me out into the sticks where I don't have good phone service at all. Well it's a bit hard to stream music without service...unless you can just slide an SD card in and call it a day. This may be something that is a once in a blue moon use case, but it shows how much thought went in to this speaker.

Great sounding durable speaker

Bought this speaker for outdoor use (mountain biking, golfing, fishing). Sound is great, no distortion and is clear. Magnet is very strong holds up during entire mountain bike ride with no slips. Seems to be very durable and good quality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Excellent speaker for all uses!

Love this speaker! Yes it is great to hang off your golf bag for music, but I use it all the time. I use it hiking, in the hot tub, camping, and many other activities. The sound that comes out of this speaker is excellent and the battery life is great as well The magnets are so powerful and I hang it everywhere, like on my fridge. Perfectly portable and rugged all around great speaker! You won't be disappointed.

Amazing sound quality!!!

I am am so pleased with my purchase. I have spent over $200 on similar products “The Pill” and the Rokform G-Rok blows it out of the water. The sound is crisp and clear. I put the volume all the way up and it’s loud with nearly no distortion. I set the speaker next to my BBQ grill in the back yard went in for a beer and the music kept playing with no glitches. I simply love this speaker and for the money you can’t beat it. I read in the manual you can pair 2 speaker together. I’m definitely buying another one so I can have one by the grill and one in the patio. I had it on all day and it’s still got a charge. The magnet is super strong and mounts to vertically any metal. My wife mounts it on the fridge when I’m not using it 🙄I simply love it !!!!😎

More than just a golf speaker!

This is a fabulous wireless speaker. It's perfect for the golf course, but it has many other uses. I take this thing with me everywhere. Battery life is awesome, sound quality is great and the magnets are strong! I'm very happy with my purchase and am now wondering what I'm going to do with the other name brand speakers that I have laying around my house.

Definitely not your average Wireless Speaker!

I rarely write reviews, but this wireless golf speaker by Rokform has seriously impressed me. Not only does it sound awesome, I also really dig the magnetic mounting capabilities. I recently used it golfing with a good friend of mine and it felt like the whole day he kept on talking about how cool the speaker is and wanting to play his playlist. I told him, sounds like you need to get your own. (In which he did that day.) Lol. Also, because of the strong magnets and portability, you can bring this speaker everywhere, The Garage, The Kitchen, Golfing and it’s even great for Backyard BBQ get-togethers. This is not your average wireless speaker and it’s so affordable!

Build quality is amazing

I have owned a lot of speakers over the years and none have survived long. Mostly from getting knocked off tables or getting drinks spilled on them. The rokform speaker with its built-in magnetic mounting lets me stick the speaker out of harms way and fills the room with music. For the size of this speaker it puts out a lot of sound. I can’t imagine having to go over 50% volume even in a loud setting but it’s there if you want it. We recently used it on a hiking trip (clipped to the back of a backpack) and it lasted all 3 days with power in reserve so the claimed 24 hour battery life is most likely very accurate. I really like the micro SD card. This makes the unit self-contained and not relying on yet another battery-operated device to make it work.

All in all, it’s a solid compact speaker with some great features.

Best golf speaker out there!!!

RokForm hit a home run with this speaker! I’ve been a fan of the cases for years so I thought I’d give the speaker a try. This thing is awesome! The magnet is as strong as they come... This thing isn’t going anywhere. I’ve played 72 holes of golf and I’m still on my first charge. The sound is incredible and the speaker looks great. A must have for the golfer who listens to music on the course.

Solid Portable Bluetooth Speaker

I love this speaker! My first impression is that it’s sounds as good as a Bose portable but without the price tag.

This thing is solid! I am confident that if I drop it, it’ll work without issues. Feels and looks simply awesome. It says it’s for golfing but I plan to take it into my travel bag as it’s small and light enough. But don’t let the size fool you, this speaker packs a punch.

High-End, Top of the Line.. this is sturdy!

In today's world where most of the items you buy look better in photos, this is a wonderful surprise! I have used their phone cases before and they last forever..so I thought I would get this speaker to match my phone. Just wonderful.

Loud, Magnetic, Durable. Hands down the best Bluetooth speaker I've ever had

Stumbled on this speaker purely by accident and I'm so thankful that I did. When I first saw this Bluetooth speaker and read the description I thought it was too good to be true. It literally has every feature you could ever want for a speaker on the golf course. Its built-in magnets allow it to stick securely to the golf cart (when I say securely, I mean there's literally no chance of this thing coming off while you're driving. Seriously!). It has a clip built in to the top of it so you can easily attach it to your bag if you're not using a golf cart. The sound quality I swear is better than my brothers Beats Pill speaker (which he paid almost double what I did haha). The battery life is amazing! I played 3 rounds of golf in the last week and haven't had to charge the speaker yet. If you have two G-Rok speakers you can pair them together which is amazing because it allows you to put one speaker on each cart and play the same music, that way you don't get some weird remix between two songs when you're parked next to your playing partners. It's fully waterproof, shockproof, and there's so many other features that I haven't even had a chance to test out yet. All in all though, this speaker is AMAZING! If I could leave a 10-Star rating I would. I'm not sure what other products Rokform sells, but if they're half as dependable as your speaker, then you just gained a loyal customer for life. Thank you Rokform for exceeding all of my expectations!
