First things first - I only have a vague idea what a real Dumble sounds like, and the only time I ever saw one in the wild was when I saw Eric Johnson playing through a Steel String Singer. Sounded fantastic, but that was a long time ago and Eric Johnson could probably plug straight into a solid-state 80's Crate and sound terrific.
What I can tell you is this this is a terrific low gain overdrive pedal that can also act as a clean boost with low output single coils. It's a sonic clone to the Iset Dumbler, which I purchased last year and enjoy quite a bit. I figure it's the same guts with a different brand and paint job. Personally, I prefer the paint job on this one.
I wouldn't consider this an amp in a box like the Joyo Voice series, although The Rowin's Voice knob adds quite a bit of upper-mid character that makes it sound terrific going through an IR. Good tone, good value.

$30 PEDAL VERSION OF A $20,000 AMP. What's not to love?
What a pleasant addition to my pedal board! It's all about options and tone variation, & this is a very pleasant , transparent drive option! It fits sonically right in between my 808 Tube Screamer & the Klon Clone Overdrive... The easiest way to describe the Dumbler pedal is... "when you have your Marshall on 10, & you just need that little bit more, stomp this, & Voila! "ELEVEN" ~" A very pleasant sounding clean overdrive solution. Like I said, the sound of a $20,000 amp, for $30... What's not to love about that!

Loud hum and radio station interference but seller was responsive
Pedal emitted a loud hum and radio station interference. None of my other overdrive and distortion pedals exhibited this defect. I was using high quality cable and a visual sound power supply as I do with all my effects pedals. Pedal was not useable for recording however may fit in well in a live band environment. Pedal is going back and I paid for the ""free" capo.
They have commited to closer Quality Control. I have also added several pictures of the pedal I received. It was quality construction as far as the paint, graphics, enclosure, jacks and knobs. I used a Visual Sound power supply with this. Seller was courteous and sent out a free capo and tuner for the issues.
