Like the color

It looks very nice. Like the color! It's very comfortable to use, too. The buttons works smoothly.

Love this mouse! I used to have a Logitech mouse, but I replaced it with this one and I’m really happy I did. What makes this one better for me is the Bluetooth connection and how lightweight it is, so my hand doesn’t get tired even after using it for a long time. It’s also very affordable. Definitely a great value for the price!

Ultralight control with three connection modes

The RK M30 is aimed at gaming and everyday computer work where low weight and flexible connectivity matter. At 43 grams, it is unusually light, and the PAW3311 sensor, up to 24,000 DPI, 1000 Hz polling, and five programmable buttons give it solid control options. Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and USB-C wired modes make it easy to move between devices. The tradeoff is the small 250 mAh battery, and the setup software and scroll-wheel feel may not suit everyone. Overall, it offers responsive performance and plenty of features for anyone curious about an ultralight mouse without a premium price.

DPI

I really liked the overall build of the mouse its smooth battery life is pretty okay and I enjoy the dpi settings I will say in the manual it does say it only goes up to 20000 dpi which is still crazy high. BUT I really do enjoy this mouse and is great for a budget build 💗

Beautiful Design

This is a great product! Royal Kludge is one of those weird names that I have learned to trust in time. The tri-mode implementation here is flawless as it was for their keyboards. As for the current industry, I am so happy that lightweight mice are the new trend. Mass and acceleration are the most important factors affecting accuracy imo. I always thought weighted mice were so silly. As for this item the design is quite beautiful. No unsightly gaps around the buttons. The mouse wheel is a standard design so if you wanted to get a metal upgrade later, that should be possible. There is plenty of room for a larger three wire battery if you wanted to trade a little weight for 3-4 times the capacity, that should be possible. Internal battery is only 250 mAh. The light weight design means the clips holding the shell together are very delicate. I was able to disassemble it successfully, but plastic stress was visible, so I would limit dissasembly operations to a minimum.

Goodbye g305

Was tired of having to replace my g305 that I loved. This was the closest thing in terms of size/ shape and its such a better mouse.

Nice quality mouse,

Love this mouse!! I couldn't believe how light weight it is. The size & shape are extremely comfortable for my hand. The finish isn't quite matte, but not a satin finish either. Not sure what I would call the finish, but it feels nice & it's not gloss, so no fingerprints, which is always a plus. It can connect wired, Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz w/dongle. It comes with the skate slides, the dongle & a braided usb to usb-c charging cord. Which is a nice upgrade over the typical cords. The color in person is more of a purplish blue rather than the blue in the photos. I actually like it better than the color shown in the pictures. I tried to get good pictures to show the true color, but it still looks a little different in person. But I love the little bit of color accenting on the white body of the mouse. The mouse works great & I love that thr button to change the dpi is on the underside of the mouse that way I am not accidentally changing my dpi.

Cons:

The slides do not come preinstalled, you have to put them on yourself

Ok mouse, super responsive, feels cheap

I previously ordered the Royal Kludge M65 mechanical keyboard and have been very happy with it, so I thought I’d give the M30 mouse a try. The M30 mouse has several nice features, but I feel it falls short in many categories of what I would expect a gaming mouse to be. The pros are that the mouse feels adequate underhand and forms well in the palm; it’s not too skinny or fat. It has three ways to connect: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz dongle, and USB-C. The DPI sensitivity is the best feature and makes it super responsive, something I’d expect from a gaming mouse. The battery life is long. So far, I’ve been using it for over a week and haven’t had to charge it.

The mouse falls short in many other categories, though. The DPI button is on the bottom. A real gaming mouse would give you this setting with easier access as a button on the top. Major con in my opinion. The buttons aren’t customizable, despite saying so. There is no place to store the dongle when not in use or when transporting. This limits me from using it for anything other than a desktop or travel, because it’s gonna get lost. The mouse is kind of cheap-feeling because it’s so lightweight. Some may like that it’s light, but most gaming mice I’ve used in the past have a little more or even adjustable weights. Similarly, the plastic makes it seem cheap and provides no grip.

Overall, this is an ok mouse that is fine for everyday use, but I don’t think I’ll use it for gaming. It seems like a slightly better version of the mice that come with computers.

Very light. Smooth skates. Fully customizable buttons w/ Windows software.

I'm using this ultra-lightweight mouse for everyday use. It's amazingly light (41.6g). It took no time to adjust, coming from my G305. The skates are really smooth (peel off the clear plastic protective layer, something I didn't notice at first). I'm not noticing any tracking errors, even with quick movement. Main two buttons have fairly audible click sound, and medium force (75g to actuate), using Huano switches. Scroll wheel is quiet. Bluetooth worked fine (hold DPI button to pair) and also has adjustable DPI. This is a good value for a really lightweight mouse.

Buttons are fully programmable using Windows software (Royal Kludge gaming mouse M30 software finds it). Buttons can be set to mouse buttons, keyboard presses, macros, and DPI changes. DPI presets can be set, debounce time, polling rate. Web browser-based configuration wasn't great and didn't seem to allow changing buttons (and wouldn't even work on Chrome with Linux, only on Windows).

Minor issues:

- Skates don't come pre-applied, and are a little tricky to get aligned right.

- Web interface didn't seem to allow changing buttons (Windows software does).

- Firmware updaters aren't in English so it's hard to tell if you're doing the right thing.

OK as a normal mouse but not ideal for gaming

This mouse is serviceable for general use, but I wouldn't buy it if you need any specific gaming mouse features.

Pros:

-Works out of the box with no software installation or drivers required

-Adjustable mouse sensitivity

-Usable in wireless or wired mode

-I didn't notice any input lag

Cons:

-It has an internal battery that's not replaceable, which means you can probably expect it to die within 2 or 3 years. I'll update the review if it dies.

-Not enough buttons for a gaming mouse, IMO (4 buttons, not counting the mouse wheel button and settings sliders)

-It doesn't have a slot to store the wireless dongle when not in use, so you might lose the dongle if you travel with it.

-You can't really customize what the buttons do.

-It’s *extremely* lightweight. My Logitech G602 is probably like five times the weight of the M30. If you like a lightweight mouse, you might love that. I don't particularly care for it. It doesn't come with adjustable weights or anything like that.

-The body material feels cheap.

-The DPI adjustment is on the bottom of the mouse, so there's no way to adjust it on-the-fly during a game. No "sniper mode". Honestly I hardly ever used this feature on my G602 so I don't miss it much.

-The feet don't glide smoothly on my mouse pad compared to my old G602, so even though it's much lighter, it kind of feels heavier in a way.

-The simple matte plastic finish is visually unappealing.

-The body shape isn't really ergonomic.

-It has extra thumb buttons on the left side only, so left-handed gamers might find the extra buttons unusable.
