Excellent purchase!
I have to be honest, I had my doubts about the quality of sound I would get from these "Quiet Tone" cymbals. So far they have been durable with enough brightness and warmth to play a variety of genres. The cymbal bells give a refined and clear tone.
For novice drummers: Honestly as I play I think about how these cymbals are better than my first zildjian starter cymbals. I find myself blessed to have these cymbals as an addition to my electric set.
The 'Quiet' aspect is very real. My neighbors are really cool about meeting me half-way on the drumming. They claim the sound from these cymbals comes out as soft and ends rapidly As far as cons: by design the sustain is really low, so you will find yourself having to repeat-splash the cymbals to maintain a certain level of carry.
Whether you are a professional drummer, just getting back into it. Or a new drummer learning how it all works, this cymbal set is a must have!
