Good for the price
These are good little radios and will work well for outdoor events, they will also work well for indoor events that are in an event hall and not multiple rooms. They come preprogrammed on analog itinerant frequencies with privacy codes. They only have 2 watts output power (commercial business portables can be licensed to 4/5 watts depending upon frequency) so these are considered low power radios. When I tested them on a service monitor, the radios had good receive sensitivity (.23 microvolts) and steady output power. Audio tests we loud and clear. I found the charger a little weird as the green lights are lit with no radio in the charging pocket (the charger took over 3 hours to charge the batteries). With the added audio accessories, I find this kit worth the price.

Two way radio set with charger bay
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I'm not the typical target market for this product. I'm a mom of a large family of active kids who spend a lot of time outside. I ordered these radios for play, but also as an easy way for me to communicate with them while they are out of earshot. We live on several acres of land and the range easily extends across our entire property. The battery life is great - they will play for hours, leaving them on the whole time, with no need to recharge. We often get two multi-hour days before needing a recharge. The charging station is bulky for home use but is a convenient way to make sure all of the equipment is accounted for. The ear pieces work well with the system. We haven't had any issues with sound quality or product durability for the ear pieces. I plan to take them on an upcoming camping trip so that we have an easy way to get in touch if the kids leave the camp site. Probably not necessarily the intended purpose of these radios, but it absolutely gives me peace of mine knowing that we can communicate easily with them.
