Amazing for mac/win dual OS users. However, right arrow kept unseating on day 1.
Love the fact that it has a mac/win format switch. It's an amazing keyboard for someone who goes back and forth between the two operating systems. Low profile, small size, Great value. Exactly what I was looking for.
However the right arrow key keeps getting unseated on the very first day of use. I'm able to put it back into the normal position, but it keeps getting unseated if i don't press the key perfectly centered. This product needs some more better quality control or tighter tolerances.

Neat little travel keyboard
I nice little portable keyboard for on the go. The size is just right for traveling and is light enough that it won't weigh you down too much. The quality so far has been good and the keys feel like your standard chicklet keys. We have only used this on windows and have not had any issues so far (Be sure to switch the toggle on the back to Windows from Mac). We also like the white/silver color as a nice change from your standard keyboard but it may show more dirt over time. Keep in mind that this does not have a 10-key/numeric keypad on the side of you need that.

Portable, easy to use, reliable keyboard that might be a touch too light.
This is a great keyboard to take while traveling or keep in your backpack as a daily tool. It’s very slim, has great key travel, and very pleasant to use. It is slightly smaller than a traditional keyboard, but not to the point where i feel it affected my comfort or typing speed.
Battery life is great, Bluetooth connectivity is easy, and there is no noticeable lag while using it wirelessly.
The only 2 downsides I noticed are:
While typing, there is a sound and feel almost like it isn’t 100% stable. Not to the point where it is rocking as if missing a plastic foot, but there is a hollowness/vibration while typing that makes this a 4 out of 5 for me. I guess there is a tradeoff for being lightweight/portable. I wouldn’t mind if it was slightly thicker and felt more solid while typing.
Overall a very good keyboard, and it gets the job done easily. I typed this review using it while connected to my iPhone wth no issues.

Excellent quality keyboard that checks all the boxes!
This is absolutely the best aftermarket Mac keyboard I've ever owned! I initially ordered it as a backup for when my Apple keyboard ran out of battery but I've ended up using it much more frequently. The overall quality is super nice and it feels quite heavy in your hand. The build quality is unquestionable as it is rigid and has no rattles or sounds you wouldn't expect. Connecting this keyboard is dead simple using the dongle or bluetooth, and I love having both options. I don't miss having lighted keys at all and much prefer the battery savings that you get instead.
Really great quality product here that I highly recommend if you're in the market.

Highly recommend!
AMAZING keyboard. I love satechi products and this was no exception. The keycaps are a low profile and look amazing as an accessory for Apple products. When pressing, the keys are also extremely lightweight and have a soft press feel to it. I generally like the slim and minimalistic aesthetic so this was perfect.
When connecting, I didn't have issues getting the bluetooth to connect to my iMac. I haven't tested out the backlight yet, but it lights up as a typical Apple keyboard would. Everything works exactly as intended. The response rate with the computer is also negligable. I wouldn't recommend it as a gaming keyboard, but everything works great!

Better typing experience than the MacBook built-in keyboard
I own both PCs and MacBook Pros, and also multiple Satechi products along with a host of other brands. I'm somewhat agnostic--if the product excels at what it does, I'll choose it over a lesser featured product with a more popular name.
Here I'm pairing the EX1 with a Legion 7, but the switch to the MacBook Pro is seamless and both key sets are labeled, which I really like. At home with the MacBook, I use a Keychron. But when I travel with it, I've been using the built-in keyboard. Not a fan of that for two reasons... 1) I never liked the typing feel on the built-in keyboard, and 2) MacBook keys get shiny over time from the oils in your fingers... cause Apple. That shiny key thing really hurts their value.
But back to the EX1. It's well made, like everything Satechi--what feels like a solid hunk of aluminum. There's no flex, key travel is good for this chicklet style, though nothing really beats mechanical. Despite the style, I had very few missed keys after about 10 minutes of use. I probably do 85wpm and after 10 min, I'd say I was doing 65wpm on this. Pairing was instant and I started working on it right away.
Downsides for me... no backlighting, though there are Satechi models that have it. And no fingerprint reader on this, but neither is there one on the Keychron... it's fine in both cases. It's slim, yes, but there is a bump out on the bottom that raises the keyboard--I can only assume that's where the battery is. But it adds some thickness I really don't want if I'm using this for travel. Still pretty slim overall, but I would have preferred the entire thing be 1/4" thicker with pop out feet than this bump out in one section. That's just my personal preference... I think the way they did it is indeed more premium in design. Since we had the space, I might have opted for full sized left and right arrow keys with up and down being half. Again, just personal preference. Last, the usb c receiver is really tucked in there... might be a pain for larger fingers. Was for me.
Overall, it's a really nice keyboard, especially for the price of this non backlight version. Room for improvement, sure, but little things... nothing I can complain about in terms of overall build, quality, feel, and seamless pairing on both Mac and Windows. If you have a MacBook, look up the shiny key thing and invest in an external if you care about the appearance of your keyboard. Shiny keys don't give your MacBook more personality.

Phenomenal Keyboard - Responsive and Beautiful
This keyboard is incredible, super lightweight, the perfect size, and extremely responsive. There is no lag at all. It was super easy to set up, just plug in the fob and turn on the keyboard, and it started working immediately. I love how easy it is to type, it's a comfortable angle for my wrist, and the keys feel smooth to use. Lighting is important, and this keyboard has buttons that indicate clearly with a little LED light, making it easy to tell if the caps lock is on or not.
The silver and white color is gorgeous and match my MacBook Pro perfectly. The value for the money is outstanding. I've had 2 different Magic keyboards from Apple, and this one is light-years better than both of those. It's sturdy, responsive, and beautifully designed. If you're looking for a compact keyboard that matches your Mac aesthetic, and you want it to be responsive, have all the keys you need that combines Mac and PC keyboards, this is the one for you!

Super compact great quality travel keyboard
Wow, this is a great little keyboard. I'm using it with my apple laptop. It's actually almost the exact same size as the keyboard on the laptop, but I love that they didn't just try to copy the built-in one exactly. I actually think it's better than the original keyboard on my laptop. It is a bit expensive, but has great features that I thinkare well worth it. There's a mini little usbc plug that can be stored inside the back of the keyboard for travel and is held in by a magnet, it's fantastic. There's also a little switch for easily changing it from mac to windows. It's super comfortable to use, and the feel of the keys is great. There's a bit of distance when pressing the keys, but I think it feels just perfect.
Overall, I absolutely love this keyboard. I'm actually a software engineer and spend a lot of time on a computer, so I was happy to find this great little compact keyboard that I can easily travel with. Everything has been so simple with this - it's just plug in and connect and go. Super easy. I love too that I don't even have to use the little dongle (I could if I wanted to), but the built-in bluetooth just works perfectly.

Good compact wireless keyboard
This is an excellent, compact keyboard. The wireless connection was very easy to pair with the USB dongle and establish the connection. The signal is very strong and the keystrokes are accurate and precise. The keyboard is very good quality and has soft keys that are quiet to the touch. This is a compact, good looking keyboard in deep black. This is a good value for an quality keyboard.

Nice compact wireless keyboard.
This is a review of the Slim EX1 Wireless Keyboard. As the name implies, this is a slim, compact keyboard that features full size keys. The haptic feedback from the well spaced full sized keys is excellent and for me seemed to allow for an increase in typing speed. The keys depress easily but with enough resistance and rebound at the end of the stroke to indicate that the key has been successfully depressed. The keyboard has two working modes via a physical switch that allow it to work on a Windows or Mac type operating system. This allows for appropriate command/special keys operation with a Windows based PC, Android based device, and/or a Mac OS, iOS, or iPadOS device using the special key operations for each respective OS (i.e. The control keys have labels for both the Windows and Mac OS on the upper and lower halves of each key). I’ve used the keyboard with an iPad Pro, Windows 11 PC, and a Mac Mini. The keyboard performed flawlessly with each of the devices and their operating systems. The keyboard can be Bluetooth paired with up to three devices and can also be used on a device with the included 2.4 GHz USB receiver. The only concern that I have with the unit is the labeling on the keys. Each character appears to be a decal that is affixed to each key. Time will tell, but it would seem these decals may wear off with high use over time. However, this is just an impression. There was no evidence of wear after using the keyboard to write this review, so any key label wear may take a great deal more activity than just typing this review. Overall, I was impressed with the functionality and general build quality. The pricing seems to be fair for this capable keyboard.

Great small footprint keyboard.
The Satechi wireless keyboard delivers the same sleek aesthetic as premium brands at half the price. Setup was effortless. I held down the keys to assign it as device one, initiated a Bluetooth search on my computer, and it connected immediately.
Connectivity options are impressive: it supports up to three Bluetooth devices and includes a 2.4GHz dongle for additional flexibility. A USB-C charging cable comes in the box, and a toggle switch lets you easily swap between Mac and PC settings. One standout feature is the replaceable rechargeable battery, which extends the keyboard's lifespan considerably. Many higher-priced competitors don't offer this.
In terms of performance, it holds its own against more expensive options. It lacks the silent keys and backlighting found on some comparable models, but for the price, it performs exceptionally well.
One feature I actually appreciate is the absence of automatic sleep mode. With other keyboards, the first few keystrokes after wake-up often go unrecognized, forcing you to retype. This keyboard responds instantly every time.
If you're budget-conscious and prefer a compact footprint, I highly recommend it.

5 Stars for Excellent build quality, smooth typing, and effortless multi-device switching
Over the years I’ve used a lot of different keyboards, and the Satechi Slim EX1 easily ranks as one of the best I’ve owned. It works effortlessly across Mac, Windows, Android, and tablets, and it feels more high end than I expected.
The build quality definitely stands out. It has a solid weight and balance, and the metal frame is great and gives you the confidence to carry it with you. It’s thin, durable, and was extremely easy to set up. I had no issues connecting via Bluetooth or the wireless dongle, and switching between Mac and Windows layouts is quick and easy.
Typing on this keyboard feels great. The keys have a satisfying response without being loud, and while it did take a little time to adjust to the more compact layout, I quickly grew to love it. Battery life has been excellent so far, and it holds a charge well.
Even the packaging impressed me. It’s well designed and feels premium. The box the keyboard comes in can easily serve to safely carry the keyboard.
The included instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the keyboard arrived with a good initial charge. It took about an hour and a half to fully top off using the included USB-C cable. I also like that the wireless dongle stores under the keyboard even though I’ve been relying mostly on Bluetooth.
The black color looks great and I’ve successfully paired it with my HP laptop, iPad, and Samsung Galaxy phone. The ability to switch between devices with a simple command is incredibly convenient.
If I could give this keyboard 10 stars, I would. Yes, it costs a bit more than basic options, but you truly get what you pay for here. Excellent design, premium feel, and reliable performance. An easy 5 stars and it’s earned a spot on my best deals list.

Works with my Android tablet too.
My first impression was "this is a thin, yet really solid keyboard." That impression still stands. The keyboard has a raised portion on the bottom back that holds the replacable/rechargable battery, USB-C dongle and gives the keyboard a bit of tilt. The USB Dongle is magnetically held in place which seems to work.
The typing feels pretty good but I am a slow typist. Your milage may vary. The keyboard is fairly quiet with the space bar being a bit noisier. It is quieter when using it on a desk pad as it was noisier when directly on the desk..
I am typing on it right now. using the dongle connection on my desktoop PC. I just plugged the dongle in, activated that mode on the keyboard and started typing. That easy.. It was easy to pair it with my Android tablet too. Everything seemed to work. The function alternate commands worked increasing/decreasing screen brightness and controling the music player.
Like everything today it takes a combination of keystrokes to operate some features so keep the small user manual. Another nice feature is there are quick start instructions on the bottom of the box lid.
This keyboad is good if you want a smaller one on your desk or as i like to, use it when working with my phone or tablet while in a meeting or traveling.

Tactile keyboard
I absolutely love this wireless keyboard. Since I'm older, I learned to type on the old style electric typewriters lol so it has always slowed me down using the flat level keys on my laptops.
I love the feel of this keyboard with the slightly raised keys because my fingers don't slide off to the adjacent key when I'm typing at high rates of speed. I have so much more control with this wireless keyboard than my others.
It looks sleek and weighs a little less than 12 ounces. This is important to me because I go camping a lot and when I get to a wireless spot I like to connect and get caught up on some work at night. This adds barely any weight to my backpack and not much more space than a folding keyboard. It's great for travel also but I do wish that it had a hard plastic cover that snapped over the top of the keyboard to protect the keys.
It charges quickly with USB C and the battery lasted through a 3 day camping trip. The little MAC/Windows switch on the back side is a little unusual but not a big deal.
I'd recommend this wireless keyboard based on the feel and accuracy of the keyboard but the size and weight specs are wonderful also.

Premium feeling keyboard
This keyboard really impressed me with its build quality. I use a couple of Magic Keyboards at work and at church, and this feels remarkably similar, just at about half the cost. It paired with my MacBook without any hassle, and I appreciate that it includes a USB‑C dongle, especially since most of my devices have far more USB‑C ports than USB‑A at this point in 2026. Switching between Bluetooth and the dongle is quick and straightforward, and the rechargeable design is a huge plus compared to constantly swapping batteries. The only real omission is a backlight, which would have made it just about perfect. (My Apple Magic Keyboard doesn't have a backlight either.) Even so, it’s a great‑looking keyboard with a premium feel that works great at a not‑so‑premium price.

Easy to use and compatible with apple and windows
This is a cool little keyboard and I have been enjoying using it. The keys have a satisfying click when typing, so it is not silent, but it feels responsive and comfortable. I like the larger key size, which makes typing easy even though the keyboard itself is compact.
It comes in a sturdy box that is easy to keep and reuse for travel, which helps protect the keyboard when tossing it in a bag. Charging is simple with USB-C, and it is easy to turn on and off. I also like that it can sync with multiple devices, including my phone and computer, which makes switching between devices convenient.
One thing to be aware of is that the included computer dongle uses a USB-C port. My computer only has USB ports, so I had to order a USB-to-C adapter separately.
Overall, this feels like a well-designed, portable keyboard. I would recommend it, and around $50 seems like a competitive price for the features and build quality.

Very nice compact keyboard - slight rattle noise when typing.
When I'd gotten my space black Macbook pro, I used a white keyboard that I already had, but I was excited to get a color matched bluetooth keyboard.
The keystroke is a little longer than on the laptop itself. The keyboard has no angle adjustment, so the tilt is fixed, which might feel a little off coming from a laptop keyboard that is essentially totally flat, but it's not as bad as I thought it might be. The keyboard size and layout is identical near as I can tell to my laptop, so there isn't much relearning where keys are if you are coming from a laptop.
There is a bit of a rattle when typing, which I can't quite figure out the source of, because it feels solid and subantial.
The case is substantial - some kind of light alloy instead of plastic- and is heavier than even the OEM bluetoth keyboard I also have. Some of the coloration is rubbed off on the front edge of the keyboard from movement during shipping - even though it came wrapped in a plastic protective sheet. Hopefully this doesn't portend long term wear when it lives inside my laptop bag.
I took a quick look at the replaceable battery- I suppose somewhere down the line these might be available if this one starts to give up, but presumably that is years away.
While I don't have any particular plan to use the USB C wireless adapter, the storage on the back seems fairly clever and the magnetic retention makes it easy to both remove and stow. I haven't lost it yet.
I did have to re-check the box to see how to toggle between the various connections and pairing options. Hopefully i won't forget this down the road, either.
There is no backlight - but the manufacturer makes other keyboards that do have it, or have numeric keypads, so there seems little reasont to not get the options you want.
all in all, this is a pretty nice little keyboard, with the mark against it for not having any kind of adjustability to the angle and me prefering a bit of shorter stroke to the keys, with less of a wobble feel to them- and mostly, the rattle sound. I also find the rattle sound a bit annoying and dont think it should be making this level of noise when I type. See the attached video- with the caveat that it's on a firm wooden table.
Edit: I had a key get snagged and slightly popped loose while it was in my bag. I printed a sleeve case for it that is available online now.
